Midas helped schedule me quickly for an appointment, had my car ready faster than I expected, and provided reasonable pricing for great service. Customers get the benefit of reasonable pricing because of a larger company, with local mechanics who care for their work and are thorough. Id recommend Midas to anyone in the area who needs their car serviced.

Ive had a wonderful experience with all the staff at Midas on Montrose. Although I could likely shop around and find less expensive, there is no way Ill find a more caring and professional autoshop. Theyve been taking care of my car for 3 years now and I never dread having to bring my Bluebell in.

My vehicle was supposed to be done on Tuesday he said it would either be done on Tuesday or Wednesday it is now Sunday and theyre not even open to work on it and they havent even worked on it at all he keeps on sending it back saying no just one more day itll be done the next day and thats never the case and on top of that I am a mechanic and I have never taken my vehicle to a shop before I just never have the time to be able to work on my own vehicle so I took it there for them to work on it I told him what the problem was and it still takes him several days to even do what I asked

My wife and I have been going to Midas of Folsom for over 15 years. Theyve always provided honest, great, affordable service. Ive been taking my truck there since my Toyota had 30k miles; it now has 200,850 miles. This latest trip, my truck started overheating while I was on the freeway on my way to work. I managed to get it to Midas before it broke down. They were able to take my car in while I Ubered to work. Even though they were busy, they managed to assess it by noon and had it fixed by 3pm.Keep up the great, quality service Midas of Folsom! Youre the best.

DISHONEST!!! DECEPTIVE!!! UNETHICAL!!!Will never do business with Midas again. Permitted Midas to complete over $1200 of service on our Suburban which included a diagnostic test and an oil change. The following day my husband was stranded for almost 3 hours, miles away from home in the vehicle with smoke coming from the hood and the low oil- stop engine immediately alarm going off. When my husband checked the dipstick there was barely any oil in the truck. Joe and Jeff reluctantly agreed to cover the tow if they deemed the problem to be their fault. The morning after the tow, Joe calls my husband to tell him that theres enough oil in the truck and no alarms are going off. What a Christmas MIRACLE!!!! Santa and his elves put oil in the truck just before Joe and the other workers got to work. As a result of this TOP THE OIL OFF MIRACLE the low oil- stop engine immediately alarm is no longer going off.In a nutshell, if you desire to pay for auto service that is incomplete, incur additional towing expenses, miss hours of pay from work, miss your childs away game, be stranded on the side of the road in the dark, endure pain and suffering dealing with this group of professional miracle workers, by all means chose your neighborhood Midas. For all others AVOID THE MIDAS TOUCH. You will not be living your life like its golden.

Great group of guys. I miss the professional mechanics who are clean cut and do great work. Seemed like that disappeared in the 90s. At Midas you get that. Always go here for my oil changes. They never try to oversell you on anything. However, they do recommend things that do need to be changed. I know enough about cars to know whether they are being honest and they have always been honest with me.

-Have taken my family vehicles to this location for the past 6 years (Hondas, Toyotas, VWs and even a new Infinity), and am satisfied with all work performed.-People are friendly, especially the owner, Tim.-Technicians are knowledgeable.-They do not try to up-sell me or provide pressure for additional work.-Prices are also reasonable, maybe not the lowest you can find, but fair for the quality of work performed.-The waiting room is on the small side, but it has a direct view of the car bays, so you can see the tech working on your vehicle, gives you literal transparency to the work performed :)

How much does it cost to replace a blown tail lamp & fuse? Midas charged me $92 ! RidiculousMy tail lamp blew and along with it the fuse. I specifically told Midas that it could be just the fuse and that they should just replace it.They kept the car for the entire day and the next day called me up and said they have replaced the bulb & the fuse with a bill of 92$The car is an old Odyseey, nothing which needs expensive light/effort.I recommend that you never go there.

I took my car here to get my breaks changed and after a couple days there was this ticking noise in the engine. I had them check it out and ran diagnostics. Just to add a side note I kept the car at good maintenance changed oil every time it needed it. My car has 140,000 miles on it or so...there shouldnt had been any other issues after getting my breaks done but there was. They said there head gaskets needed to be replaced which is going to cost probably well over the amount the car cost. This was the last place that worked on my car before it started having problems so yes I blame your mechanics for not noticing this issue and not correcting itI do not trust this place anymore and the fact that they had us waiting day after day postponing the date is ridiculous...2000 dollars down the drain thanks for nothing

I went to Midas today after I had to jump start my car batteries. I was told that the battery is gone and had to be replaced. $200 batteries and $33 labor charge in addition to an $30 Diagnostic charges. I asked them to go ahead and change it. When I came back home and discussed it with my husband, realized I was ripped off. The same battery was $111 in batteries plus and AutoZone. I went back to see if the charges were right, First I was told thats a different battery, but then when he realized it was the same battery, He brushed it off saying You could have saved money of you did it by yourself smh. I would never again recommend this place to anyone. Save some money. Go elsewhere.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My experience was horrible! I went to this location because I saw the high reviews here. My initial visit was for an oil change and new brakes. Jeff called me and also recommend new filter, coolant flush and transmission fluid. Agreed to have the recommend preventative maintenance and spent $653.09. Within days after picking up my car I started hearing rattling as I drove over bumps in the road. I took the car back and reported that I am hearing this rattle and was a little concerned that prior to dropping my car off for the initial visit the rattle was not there. I was called and told I need new struts and would cost me another $934.91. I went ahead and approved the fix. Upon picking up my car after this being fixed I voiced my concern that my car did not make any noise prior to the initial visit and Gary got sharp with me telling me one has nothing to do with another. Within days after picking up my car the rattle did not go away. Spoke with Jeff that the rattle was still there. He asked me to bring it back and I did and this time they told me they could not find the source of the noise and would need the car for a couple days to investigate. I asked for my car back and told Jeff I was going to get a second opinion. Took my car the Acura dealership and was told the rattle was from the left front brake rotor backing plate bent up against knuckle. Paid the dealership $100 for the visit. Spoke with Jeff and provided the paperwork and he stated that he would need to discuss with Randy the franchise owner. Jeff asked what I felt was a fair compensation and I told him the fee for struts because the car did not make any noise when I dropped off at the initial visit. Jeff called me 3 days later and told me Randy agreed to refund the labor, $309.98. I told him this was not fair because I also paid $100.00 at Acura plus time away from work and mileage for driving there. Jeff told he would get back to me. I then asked to speak to Randy directly as he was having to go back and forth. Jeff told me that Randy does not accept calls or calls customers, WHAT????!!!!???!! Later, I received a message from Jeff NOT Randy that he agreed to an additional $100 refund. Seriously!!

Started bringing my two cars to Midas in Folsom a little over a year ago after moving to California. The people there are friendly, honest and dont waste my time. After moving to Fair Oaks I tried another nearby Midas location and was disappointed so decided to take the extra time to return to Folsom for maintenance. A week ago I realized that I forgot to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation but drove in early Saturday anyway. They estimated a couple of hours but in the end it took less than 90 minutes and that included making adjustments to the rear brakes. Much better than other places where it takes at least 3 hours even when you do make an appointment. Keep it up guys!

Part are VERY EXPENSIVE, $150 starter costs $350My honda car was serviced to change starter. The Starter cost from Midas is $350, where as I found that the nearby store (oreilly) had the same part for ~$150.When I checked with store supervisor Randy, she told me that Midas will charge extra on part to provide necessary warranty and also told if you bring your own parts Midas will charge only for Labor. Why wasnt I told this earlier :)But I still dont understand why 2x the amount was charged for warranty, when the part manufacturer provide warranty as well.I will never come back and would never recommend anyone else

I had a coupon good for a cheap oil change & tire rotation. I was nervous that they would try to gouge me for other problems. However, they did the work requested, along with the optional inspection. They then presented me with the items from the inspection that needed attention (Its an older car and did have a few issues) and did ask if I wanted to have them fixed there, but at no time did I get a hard sell. When I said these issues would have to wait, I was told no problem, and wasnt hassled or pressured at all.I would say that they are an honest company that works on keeping good relations with their customers. I would use them again.
