Came here for smog. They were fast and pleasant. If you have a vehicle older than (2002?) you will definitely want to call ahead to make sure they can do it. Older vehicles take longer to setup and I believe they only smog them on certain days.

If I have a problem with my cars these these are the people that I go to. It is a really clean honest shop that can help you with many car problems or just an oil change. It is also a Star Smog Station. I have been going here for years these people are very trustworthy. They really care about their customers; giving information, answering questions and getting to the bottom of your problems with your vehicles.Their hours are Monday to Friday 8 to 5.Was having trouble with my van, it was the transmission. 3 days later Im driving driving what feels like an almost brand new car.Had my 2000 Toyota in for a code check, needs injectors, so I know I will get fast service and fair price from Rich and his crew.Try them out you will not regret it.

Its not hard when having a conversation to know a persons intentions. And their intent was to provide quality, honest, service.

We took my son’s older Ford truck in a few months ago when it seemed to be having some kind of coolant issues. I don’t know if it remedied itself or what, but they couldn’t detect a major issue after multiple tests. This truck has a few issues that they could’ve pushed us to fix, but they stuck to the main issues at hand. My experience at local dealers is to leave with thousands of dollars worth of repairs to ponder. Bottom line, very impressed with their integrity!

This is hands down the best auto care shop around. Rich and his crew have proved time and time again that they are honest and care about their customers. Many times they could have taken my hard earned dollars and charged me more than needed, but they never have. They go out of the way for their customers and understand that customer care is what makes a great company.

Great place to get any car services done. They never try to upsell things I dont really need and if something doesnt need to be done soon, they dont try and get you to do it right away, but make sure you are informed of anything that can become an issue. The couple that own the place are super sweet, and I love their shop dog!

They came highly recommended to us when we relocated to Folsom and its obvious why.Rich and his staff have great customer service skills and do not hesitate to explain exactly what needs to be done to the vehicle and break it down so you understand it. My wife and I have learned a ton of things from Rich and his mechanics over the years.They will not nickel and dime you and clearly take great pride in their work. Places like this are rare in this day and age and we are ever so grateful they are around. Folsom Motor Works can get quite busy - so when ever possible try to schedule a repair in advance. However a few times weve had something urgent spring up with a car and they were able to work us in same day to take a look at it!

Richard Ratto is an Italian, from Burlingame, CA, and Head Honcho at Folsom Motor Works. The shops work is completed in a timely fashion and one always receives honesty in what work needs to be done.A rarity on auto repair in 2015. Reminds me of Colma Garage in Colma, CA (south of San Francisco). Lots of great Italians used to and still live there!

Took my car in for a smog check and they took care of it the same day and even polished the headlights which were pretty bad.
