Went on a tour and just was completely turned off! Carpet was dirty, the bathroom had a weird noise when you turned the light and the blower on. I was completely turned off. I wasn’t able to see the apartment until the day I was supposed to move in but when I saw it I was no longer interested. I had a hassle about getting my deposit back. That’s a large amount of money to have to wait and wait to hear if your getting it back or not.

Elaina and Sharon did an awesome job when my wife and I contacted them about our apartment they always stayed in contact about the move in process and went beyond my expectations they were very curtious and respectful every time we spoke the apartment was very clean and well maintained as well... couldnt ask for anything better 👍👍😉

Amazing staff and community. I was very cautious about renting from Highlander Apt. because of an old review that was posted. I shared my concerns with Elaina, a staff member. She spoke all the right words and sounded very friendly and professional--but I was not sure if she was being honest with me or just trying to make a sale. After praying and seeking advice from the Lord, I decided to accept her offer by faith from another state. When I arrived the staff was friendly and polite and helpful to me. My apartment is awesome and wonderful. My neighbors are nice and quiet. My community is nice, quiet and clean. I get same day maintenance service. I am a very clean person and picky when it comes to where I live and call home. The only issue I had wss: my bedroom door was not up to my standard, maintenance came that day and removed and the next day Elaina called me with an update about the bedroom door. I NEVER look at reviews because most reviews are fear-based. My advice is to do your own homework and not rely on reviews alone.

Smoothest transition from FL to NC ever!! Had the opportunity to work with Elaina B from Highlander Rentals to move my mother from South FLA to Raeford, NC. Was able to communicate with her affectively and efficiently in order to get the moving process started and completed. The whole process literally took about a week or less to get done and my mother was ready to move in at the top of the month. With the proper paperwork and preparation I am Happy to say that the hard part of moving was probably the easiest ever with her help. Thank you Highlander and Elaina B. She loves her new place!!

I have had a really positive experience with Highlander Rentals, specifically the Raeford division. I was able to set up and appointment quickly to tour the unit and the process of acquiring the apartment was easy/efficient. Additionally, the representative guiding me was helpful and always responds promptly to any questions I have. Im looking forward to spending my first year in my new place. So far, so good!

I have enjoyed living here for 2 years. The apartments, the gym, and pool are well maintained, and if there are any problems, maintenance handles them immediately. It is a quiet and child friendly environment, neighbors are friendly, and respectable to each other and each others work schedules and sleep times. The complex is constantly monitored for safety by neighbors you wouldnt know was security and lots of cameras. Most of all, i like that the staff are friendly, understand that people have things that go on in their lives, and they give all they have and do all within their power to make sure that they can give you a high quality living experience while you live there.

I am a US Army service member in the process of getting out. I have been here for about 7.5 months and I have had my property stolen from me by the owner. He has banged on our door causing dents and the door to break. The manager and owner have lied about things many times and about my wife. This place is disgusting and is infested with bugs. The AC is broken and the manager wont let any maintenance worker help us. Within the first month of living here we as in my pregnant wife myself and my one-year-old daughter got scabies from the carpets. We were told carpets are to be professionally cleaned before we moved in we had somebody come in and check the apartment with a cleaning machine and the results came out black it was so dirty everything was black. Now they are trying to take us to court because we did not pay our last month of rent due to them stealing from us and the way they have treated my wife and I. Our apartment is always about 90° and that is not how we should be treated. When we go to court I cannot wait to see what the judge has to say to them with all of our complaints I do not recommend this place for even a homeless person. I would not rent from here this place should be shut down.

Terrible. Applied for a 1 BD 1 BA. The girl Angela, who is new there lied and said that it wasnt available anymore, and disclosed to me that someone else had gotten approved for it but she was waiting on them to decide about the security deposit after she told me that no one was pursuing it. Disclosing information about another tenants situation is petty of her. Then she had me to apply-only to take an application fee just to make money, and then tell me that someone else is getting the apartment-let alone acting quite dingy and nefarious about trying to get me into something that would suit me. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. They are not trustworthy, and are messy in their practices.

I signed a six month lease with Highlander Rentals July of 2012 for an apartment in Falcon Village on Raeford Rd. At first things were great, but a few months into the lease I noticed things in my Apartment getting moved. at the end of my lease I notified them 30 in advance that i was NOT GOING TO RENEW THE LEASE. And I moved out. (on time) that was in January. This month, May 2013, I am getting harassed by a debt collector saying i owe Highlander Rentals $1,000 in rental fees! I never missed a rent payment! the two rent payments that they say i missed are from febuary and march of this year. well... i didnt live there. and they knew that! I am a service member in the Army and i DO NOT recommend Highlander Rentals. I am actually currently working on getting them blacklisted for the Fort Bragg area.
