Working with Dominion has been an absolute pleasure. The staff is always kind and understanding. They have assisted in resolving our community parking problems that pained the neighborhood for years. Leaving the residents with nowhere to park their vehicles. If you have a problem they have a solution! They also recently painted our curbs and striped the parking spaces. This is usually a nightmare of a project but they worked dillegently and it was seamless and our community looks wonderful! Best towing company around. Thanks Dominion and all your staff.

Getting towed is not fun. Really inconvenient. I was towed by dominion. I did not believe I deserved to be towed. I called and was able to speak with a representative immediately. He was very friendly and professional. He listened to my points and I heard his and we were able to resolve the matter. I really appreciated the approach this person took and the professionalism they displayed throughout the entire disagreement. Still 4 stars because getting towed sucks.

Even though getting your car towed SUCKS...they take very good care of the vehicles and hold them indoors.

They charge me $160 for towing. I asked for invoice so I can see what I’m paying for. The refused and told me that I must pay first, and then they will give me a bill. I asked why $160. Lady showed me a price board with $135 for towing. I asked why is it $160 not $135. She told me that is a city charges. I paid - they gave me an invoice, and surprise surprise- no taxes or any city charges, they force me to pay extra $25 because they were so grateful to tow my car on a Sunday. If they don’t want to work weekends that is their problem. Why I am forced to pay extra ? Why weekend fee is not on a pricing list? Why they refused to show me invoice before they charge my credit card? Why they are preferred to lie about it?

My car was towed for rear parking in the visitor spot. Was a sign under the tree on Americana drive wich was hard to see in the dark from the direction I was entering the community. 30 minutes parking and they want 185$ when Virginia code says the maximum for towing was 150$, they motivate that Fairfax county let them rise the price. Soul less manager , driver and front desk woman, no compassion for single dad with small child, very rude acting and speaking.

Well, an ill lady walked to where she parked her car (in a shopping complex parking lot) and there was no car. She thought she lost her mind. What happened? Did she forgot where she parked it? had her car been stolen? Oh no, both her phone and her wallet were in the car. All she had was a few dollars in her jacket. What was she going to do? No phone, no money, she had to walked 45 minutes to get home. Got home, cold and tired, first she asked her family members to called the credit card companies to block her credit cards, then called the police to report her car stolen to find out that it wasnt stolen, it was towed by Dominion Towing. Called them, they said she had to shop there to park there, which she DID, and had the receipts to prove it. Beside that, there was NO parking signs reserved the spot for a specific business. There was NO parking signs that said if towed, call this number. They never notified her about her car being towed. I hope they PROUD of themselves. And they should be PROUD of themselves. They made $160 off an ill lady, made her walked 45 minutes in cold winter weather, without her phone, her wallet, during a pandemic, with million of questions going through her head, scared, worrying to dead.....See, SO MANY REASONS to be PROUD of.

I was towed in a parking lot even though I purchased from the complex, and it all happened in less than 40mins (receipts to prove it). This is a picture of them coming back to tow someone else as I waiting 15min (calls to prove it) in the lot thinking my car has been stolen. There appeared to be a man in a blue truck trolling the parking lot and watching people leave their cars to call the towing company. I didn’t realize I couldn’t leave the shopping complex I parked in (even though I made purchases in the complex) but this is just excessive trolling looking for $$. I understand no one likes towing companies when they inconvenience us, but this is just taking advantage of people and morally unethical.

Extremely hard to find and took my car when i was allowed to park

Just because you “technically” followed the law does not mean your actions are ethical. There is ethical towing, but we all know ethical towing doesn’t pay the bills. I think it’s time to ask our law makers for reform on towing and hold these people accountable for their unethical actions.

My car was towed yesterday I thought that I was in the right but actually I have made a mistake it was towed to Dominion Towing I had to put a high amount of money but when I got there I asked to see a picture where my car was before they towed it and a very nice man showed me the picture w I paid the fee no damage at all except my pocket.

If any car has drivetrain damage after having their vehicle towed by this company, I recommend you sue for repairs. Their improper towing technique causes the drive wheels to hop which can cause serious damage to bearings, transmissions and differential.

Rude people. They take your money with lots of bogus fees. Not easy to park and find the place. Somebody should do something about this type of places in the way they make money.

Dispatcher 23 was less than professional, actually she was a piece of work. She was so rude and had an unnecessary attitude. Not to mention all the vulgar language she was using. People have bad days, but people like her should not be in customer service. All i was trying to do is pay to get a friends car out of the tow lot. I wouldn’t expect trash like that from someone on the clock getting paid to do a job.

Foul company. Towing cars in low income neighborhoods while a pandemic is going on. People have enough things going let alone paying for tows. I understand you have a business to run but why take from the little guy!? Stick to DUI tows or look around in higher income neighborhoods... at least until this pandemic blows over. Guy at the office was great . And they did not damage my car when it got towed

December 13 around midnight they towed my car right from my own designated reserved spot at my townhouse. Somebody who doesnt live in my house called. And they even didnt try to check or contact anyone to make sure it was legal.Ready to open law case against them.Who would like to join?They had no legal basis to tow the car and this qualifies as a theft.

Im going to call it for what it is, this people are thieves. The towed my car from my apartment complex even though the permit was valid. They never notified me about my car being towed and since I was working from home I didnt know. They charged 50$ extra for every day the car is there on top of the $150 for the towing. THEY NEVER CALLED ME, when I asked why? the counter lady gave me a nasty attitude and told me just pay and leave. They purposely keep your car to steal more money from you. I guess this is there way to make extra money during a pandemic....

I walked a different way to get to the front of the building, Dunkin doughnuts, they wasted no time towing it. I watched from the window as my car drove by. Oh well I guess, during a pandemic you gotta make money too right? The only other time I’ve been towed was in Afghanistan by an Air Force fella. Well done.Stimulus check well spent. By far the best. Of course no one likes a tow company but what they do is necessary in many situations and they are just doing their job. What sets Dominion a part from other towing companies is that they do their due diligence before towing to ensure they never wrongfully tow. As someone who employs them at their business, I greatly appreciate the very detailed photos of every angle of the vehicle. This helps me to feel confident that theyve never towed someone accidentally.

We have had Dominion as our towing company for years and could not be more satisfied with their service. They are responsive and professional and provide excellent records that we often need. They do a great job striping our lot in the summer along with a few other things. Overall a good company with a great staff.

They sit in an area looking to see who they can tow within a few minutes, and force you to pay $150 to $250 to get your car back. They know the police cant stop them. Im an essential worker and they specifically targeted me. This smacks of legalized extortion, and the county and state should have stepped in long ago to shut them down, especially since their private towing contract is non-essential.

Nobody enjoys being towed, I get it. But they perform an outstanding service here at our community and without them it would be impossible to ensure parking for our residents. They are thorough and very professional. If youre on the receiving end of their service its unfortunate but as someone who employs their service, they are superb.

I have worked with Dominion in a business setting for many years as I am the Community Manager for a large property they service. I value their partnership, as they offer a wide range of services and are ALWAYS willing to work with me regarding community needs. Of course its not fun for anyone to be towed. However, in my experience Dominion is a well run company and do their job very well. They follow all agreed upon policies and procedures and are even willing to work with folks from time to time when they are able. All things considered, they are a very well operated and provide good customer service when assisting clients and customers.

This company is completely unethical and incompetent. They towed my vehicle after I parked it in the spot that my leasing office told me was my designated spot. I had the necessary parking permit. When I called to find out what happened to my vehicle, the towing company simply said that someone who believed I had parked in his or her spot had called to have my vehicle towed. The towing company never made any effort to contact the leasing office to verify whose spot it really was. They simply towed it and say I have to pay $160 to get it back. Again, this is a completely unethical mode of business.

Our newly bought car got towed on Oct 8th midnight. We had the apartment permission sticker very well visible on the car back. We had not got the number plate installed but the apartment approval sticker displayed, showed that we had to right to park it in front of our apartment. charging $160 for that, according to us, was not ethical.

How the Dominion Grinches stole ChristmasMy wife was going into labor the day of Christmas and we go outside and the car was gone. We measured it later and were 1 centimeter off from regulation. We had tocall an ambulance to pick us up. Therefore, we had to pay for the ambulance and the expense of the towed car. All of our stuff was in the trunk of the car and we had to stay in the hospital with none of our clothes.This is the most unethical organization I have ever encountered. They are rude and disrespectful and were completely out of line. If there was a lower rating I would give it to them. Would not recommend. Merry Christmas.

Towed by car from my own apartment based on someone elses word alone and without any documentation. When I tried to call about it and ask what documentation was provided, some woman was extremely unprofessional (not surprising considering the kind of towing theyre doing without documentation), refused to listen, said they dont have to provide any proof to me that they had any evidenced to tow my car, and hung up. When I called back, she just picked the phone up and hung it straight up.So as a single working mom with 3 kids, I was left with NO way to get my kids to school or get to work and it was all based on someones word of mouth saying that car isnt supposed to be here. I dont know how this shady business is still legally operating considering the illegal way which they act.

We have had dominion towing at our property in Tysons corner since we opened in May of 2017. They are by far the best, overly accommodating and super quick response time. Dwight is truly a pleasure to work with and we are grateful for him and his team. Car was fine, no damage or theft, so dont worry about that they do a good job towing your vehicle and can be trusted with it. Retrieving the vehicle was easy, simple and relatively stress free; everyone behind the window was professional, helpful, and kind. The reason for the low rating is simply because they WILL tow your car for any and all reasons they can, multiple times back to back if they can. So make sure if you are in a location which uses Dominion towing you check, double check and triple check that they cant find a reason because they will and dont just trust the building that itll be fine.

Not in a good space in regards to my Tow!!! New Year’s Day the day my siblings and I laid my Mom to rest. Out visiting a friend to occupy the mind. As a past Property Manager I know the risk of parking at almost every complex in the Metropolitan area. The visitor parking clearly stated Towing Enforced between 12 am - 6 am. Funny thing is I was in the parking lot @ 12 am. So how in the world was my car Towed @ 12:04 am but yet I didn’t see the Tow Truck? It was reported to Fairfax Police Dept @ 12:04 am but how when I was on the phone with Dominion @ 12:07 am. The time is not making sense. Yes, I wouldn’t still be overjoyed with my vehicle being Towed if the time was 12:40 am, but it would make sense. This just doesn’t make sense according to the Time Factor. Hopefully when I pick my vehicle up tomorrow Dominion will have a photo to reflect the correct time in which my vehicle was picked up!!! Either way Happy New Year to Me!!! Being as though you are an Employee of Dominion assuming I will get a reply. How would you feel if you were in my shoes? Not to good right? Some ethical lines have been crossed. You can’t bend the rules to make money it’s not cool to the Public at all!!!

One of the only towing spots in the area with friendly staff. 1st time Ive been to a tow truck business and the staff didnt sound like they wanted to pick a fight. Getting towed sucks, but at least they didnt damage my car.

I am a leasing consultant in Falls Church. We constantly have people parking illegally on the property, dead tags, in the wrong spot, not a registered visitor. When we request a tow it happens immediately, and the signs clearly show the procedure to recapture their vehicle, so there is very little I have to do with the towed person, huge weight off my shoulders.Tara

This company drives around residencies looking for technicalities...I was parked in front of my townhouse with a parking pass in the dashboard and they still towed me and my neighbor’s car at 1am! While I had to pay $165 to get my car back, my neighbor who has a similar vehicle had to pay $185. I pointed out the inconsistency at their office and they said “that’s not our problem”.This company and its employees are all scammers looking for quick money to take back to their mobile homes. They clearly do not operate with any morality, just motivation for quick and easy money.Whether you need your car towed or they are taking it against your will, they will NOT give you an honest price to pay, as it is always a different price every time. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to do business with these leeches.

Like all towing companies they contribute nothing but negativity to society, I would recommend all employees to change their line of work toward helping others rather than towing someone’s car for no good reason.

With their help and enforcement, we are able to provide sufficient parking for our residents and guest. I have valid permit to park in my residential community. I stopped them while they try to take my car when I heard they were scratching my car on the road. The person demanded me MONEY to leave the vehicle, in-spite of explaining that I have valid renewal. The person kept asking for Money. I was helpless and left with no choice but to give my HARD EARNED MONEY!

The worst towing company in The DMV. The owner needs to be made aware of the unethical behaviors his business creates. I work in Property Management and we had to discontinue their services at a few of our properties due to this known fact - THEY ARENOT CONSISTENT WITH THEIR PRACTICES.

Needed an appointment to obtain my car. go to set the appointment up and they tell me i cant because they have a different crew on at that time. what the point of making an appointment if they wont let you?! and they had someone take my photo where they towed it from for who knows what reason. stay far far away from here. hope you never cross these peoples path.

I would give them zero stars if I could. First off they towed my car from the apt complex that I just moved to. The spot I parked my car in was spray painted over so it wasnt a decal spot. Ive watched these guys at work and they do not care how they get your car as long as they get it. This time it resulted in damage to my tire and I drive a BMW. I had to get a completely new tire because it had a huge gash in it which was not previously there. I tried to call them to reconcile, but all I got was well give you a call back, and I called over three times.

I am a leasing agent with The Kingston, a luxury high-rise in Tysons/Mclean and we use this service for our building. As a high-rise building, we search for companies to partner with that parallel our same values and level of customer service. Dominion towing is our partner for this reason. Wonderful group!

These guys operate on the fringes of legality. They are in the same category as repo men and bounty hunters.It should be noted that this company does not work on behalf of the DMV or state of VA, only for their own pocket books.I am surprised that trolling parking lots and back streets to impound cars at exorbitant rates is legal in this day and age. In New York, if your inspection lapses you get a ticket, which seems more humane than waking up to go to work and have your vehicle taken in the middle of the night.

I make delivery for pizza store, and i get in the condo to carry the pizza and when i comeback after 5 minutes they lift my car, i explain and he say that i have to give 50 dollars to drop my car, basically that day i work for free because the old guy take out my money. I feel so bad i hope the karma act alone.

I have been working with Dominion for many years and they have always been polite and courteous. Towing is never a fun situation to handle but they handle it very professionally.

They are greedy people, as a delivery driver for many years, I have seen there tow truck driver hide and prey on you regardless any reason.Why? because once they send their driver out, they have to pay them. If the driver dont get anything back, it will be a business loss.The cars without parking permit are their top choice, and then target cars parking at fire lane for loading or unloading, (all UPS and USPS trucks parking at fire lane for loading and unloading)

Predetory business practices. Saw them tow a vehicle within 5 minutes of being parked. The owner came outside with the visitor pass in hand and the tow truck just waved and took off. Trash company.

Their drivers are known to take guest passes out of unlocked cars so they can justify towing it. Multiple people at multiple sites have reported this dirty practice. I don’t understand how they’re still in business. I know towing companies get a bad rep by default, but this towing company legitimately deserves the criticism. On top of all that, their employees are some of the most miserable people you’ll ever deal with. They’re crooks.

I cant imagine any towing company would get a good review. Nonetheless, Dominion clearly has a predatory arrangement with the Avalon Dunn Loring project up the street from their Fairfax location. The property has agreed to put up a minimal number of minuscule signs noting the parking time limitation; meanwhile the Dominion truck was sitting in the parking lot waiting for their next victim when we came out to get our car. Avalon gets a cut of their tow fees or receives an exclusivity fee from Dominion while the devils tow company gets to feast on people trying to enjoy some food, drinks and a game at one of the complexs doomed retail establishments -- only to get their car towed within minutes of the limit. You dont often get to choose what company tows your car, but if you do, make sure its not Dominion. I imagine there are some tow companies out there focused on trying to help stranded drivers in a pinch vs. taking advantage of the innocent...Dominion is not one of those companies.

Damaged my car during covid 19 while towing my car away from in front of my house

I live in a condo in 7-corners and over the last 15 years when I have been lazy and left my van in the wrong space it gets towed, it is my fault as I have been notified that as it has a ladder rack it is not allowed to park in the resident permitted area, I learn to not do park in the wrong spaces my mistake and I paid. I am mad but I am wrong and have learned better. Rules are needed to set boundaries otherwise humans only take care of themselves as if they are the only entity that matters. Work is work and I bet a tow company could write a great comedy book. Hook and haul boys!

My car is towed in residential parking lot and I paid 160 out of my pocket. because of expired sticker of my apartment. It was Halstead apartment before so I had Halstead apartment sticker. They towed my car on purpose to steal my money. They exactly know only residents have their own parking card to enter residential parking lot. And my car have Halstead sticker. They can assume I am resident in Avalon.

I had the unfortunate luck of dealing with these guys recently. I tried explaining the situation to them (simply forgot button and wasn’t there two hours). Manager didn’t care, even when I offered to show proof I wasn’t there two hours, and when I was asking if there was anything he could do I was told “you sound like me when I called Comcast earlier today.” I got off the phone with the manager almost immediately after that comment cause of how rude it was. Just avoid dealing with these guys, they really don’t give a damn.Edit: Appreciate hearing your side but in this case the comment and situation came across as rude. I get towing is necessary in some cases. This is a case where we clearly see the situation from two different ways. All the best, but I don’t think this situation was handled best on your end.

Be careful if you see this company as a towing company they will watch you park and THEN tow your car after 30 mins not even an hour! I was rushing to my childs doctor appointmentment because I was late and they tow my car. The money I have to pay to get my car back is outrageous. And to add on to that when I came to there place I gave them extra money and didnt have any change on me they made me walk in 100 degree wether to get change while they see that I am sweating and have been through enough. One more thing the bearded white guy at 2010 juniper street is very racist and uses bad language when I tried to ask why they towed my car he called me F*migrant. I work hard to earn my living and dominion towing inc. for your information our differences is just our color if you look back your history you were once an migrant too.
