Dan was able to quickly determine what was wrong with my car and have it fixed & turned around the next day. I recently purchased a used car and it was clear the place were it was previously being serviced (the dealership) was not doing a great job. Tons of rust, issues that I didnt see underneath. I first contacted Dan Gill 30 years ago when I was on a very tight budget and had been told by another shop that I needed an expensive repair. In a panic, I started calling other shops, hoping to get a better price than the one that shop quoted. I happened to call Dan, and after asking a few questions, he determined that the other shop had not done enough testing to know that was the repair I needed. I brought my car in to him then and he determined I actually needed a much less expensive repair, saving me hundreds of dollars. Dan runs on integrity - he is fair, honest and he knows cars. He is the quintessential New Englander: he serves the information you need straight up, no mincing words, and perhaps hes had bit too much caffeine; those are all compliments in my book. I have friends who bring all their cars to him, too and we couldnt come up with a complaint about him if we tried. I recently bought an older car from him for my daughter and did so with complete confidence. Dan is an expert you can trust, which makes him a treasure.
