I brought my 4 year old son and we bothhad a haircut and I also got a much needed beard trim. We putted a few balls in the front while we waited. We showed up way too early. We both got nice cuts, my beard looked way better, and Jesse was a pleasure to talk with.

Great hair cut! However, the barber that we had an appointment with was 10 minutes late. Additionally, the barbers cutting hair were using profanity while my wife and kids (ages 6 and 10) were in the waiting area. I use profanity and my wife use profanity. We do not use it around our kids. The barbers are free to use whatever language they want as its their establishment, but the lack of awareness of who was there or the lack of care is why I am giving the review. Its a bit of a shame because my sons haircut looks great.

Love this place. I was getting married and myself and part of the wedding party went to get haircuts before the big day. We all worked with Sam and he was outstanding! Haircuts looked awesome in the pictures and I would highly recommend you go here and see him.

Awesome little shop, the guys cutting hair are pretty cool and give a really good haircut. Would definitely book an appointment online though, been a couple different times and the one time I was a walk-in they were booked up.

Figured Id give this shop a try, I commute here from out of town frequently, its roughly an hour drive. My usual spots didnt have any openings until next week. I work nights so I scheduled last night around 2am, it was nice to get in on short notice. The GPS took me on a weird route so I was delayed by a train on Ohio Street, I highly suggest taking the Lloyd. I sent them a text roughly 10 minutes prior to my appointment via facebook to let them know what was going on since my commute was delayed like 15 minutes. Upon arriving Im told that the barber I was supposed to meet with had just left and that I could reschedule for an appointment tomorrow. There was literally one customer in the shop, no one was waiting for services, not even in the parking lot haha Upon checking the booking app their slots for today are still wide open. I understand why businesses do that, it throws off the whole day. But in this case their bull excuse wasnt sufficient. Im certainly not returning. It was a cool looking place regardless, sadly it takes more than a nice shop to draw clientele lol

Easily the best barbershop in the Evansville area. Honestly it’s the best barbershop I have ever been regardless. The more you go, the more enjoy it, and the better it gets. The haircuts get better, the conversation gets better. This place is not only the best place to get your haircut, but the best price too. Book early, walk in, it doesn’t matter. This is the place to go!

This is the only place we go because its the best. My son will get a cut from Sam and I usually get my cut at the same time by David. Cool atmosphere and these guys make getting a haircut a cool experience.i recommend making a appointment because it can be busy at times but they do have a nice guy taking walk ins.

I got a haircut and straight razor shave. Couldnt be happier.

This place seemed great online. Appointment only. So I made an appointment. Waited 45 min and was told my barber was not coming in and he is the owner of the shop. As Im getting my haircut which took about 30 mins. Which 15 of those minutes were spent joking with other workers not giving full attention to the customer in the chair. Then the barber told me that he wasnt going to give my shave even thats what my appointment was for. I strongly believe I was racially profiled and will never visit this place.

Best barber shop in town. Always clean, guys are all well mannered and keep good conversation throughout the entire shop unlike many other places where you get that awkward silence. Haircut is always great and being able to book an appointment online helps from keeping me waiting. Definitely recommend giving them a chance to earn your business.

I just left Leather Strop after receiving a hair cut and beard trim. This isn’t my usual shop I go to, but I was in a rush and a newer employee was able to take me as a walk in.The positive of my experience: I got a great cut, and couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. The gentleman who cut my hair (whose name I can’t remember) was friendly and courteous. I have no complaints about him whatsoever.The negative: While receiving my cut, my brother walked into the shop to schedule an appointment. He is a regular at Leather Strop and was familiar with all the staff. My brother and I exchanged small talk, but nothing too significant. After my brother left, three employees (excluding the guy cutting my hair) began talking horribly about my brother. Calling him names, making fun of his “douchebag” truck, etc. They had zero regard for the fact that there was a customer listening, and proceeded to go on an on Aside from this person being my brother, I am AMAZED at the unprofessional way this place operates. No matter how you might feel about clients, it is ridiculous to talk about people that openly.If you want to drown in smoke, and drink beer while they cut your hair, and support ungrateful, unprofessional guys, this is your spot. I will not be returning.

Did not cut as directedI am not satisfied. My wife even made the comment youre not going back are youShe said it looked chopped up...I have learned that if they habe to use the spacer blocks pn their clippers they are not a true barber

Great cut every single time. I go in every time with no idea of what I want, and Sam sets me up with something different and awesome. The atmosphere is always enjoyable and fun. Jesse has a great business and gives a really good haircut as well 10/10 would recommend!

Price was reasonable, but the service was definitely not worth it. My beard was screw up on the right side with a part cut out of it. The line up was terrible side did not match, and not sharp but any-means. The fade did not blend. Results very poor. I can not rate the other barbers only the one that work on me. I was referred to this shop. Very disappointing you might consider else where.

David did a great job. Everyone seems to be super cool and they will make sure you look great. Couldnt be happier with the cut, will have to get a shave next time.

Made appointment at 8am and got there at 8:10 establishment still not open for business,which is a routine occurrence. Once open walk in and my appointment that was 20 minutes prior is now past and my barber that is appointment only has someone in his chair. Been going here for almost a year. Trying to support local westside since I live on the westside. Now looks like back to the east side where the businesses open when they are scheduled. No since in following an appointment schedule if you cant show up on time.

This is hands down the best barber shop in Evansville and Newburgh. I have been to several barber shops in town and was never happy with the haircut and how overpriced it always seemed. Ive been going to Leather Strop for about a year now and I drive all the way from the far east side of Newburgh every 2 weeks just to come to this shop. Sam cuts my hair, but every guy in there is super cool. Youll come for a hair cut and end up wanting to stay just to hangout. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I called to schedule an appointment they wouldnt do it over the phone, they didnt know if they had any openings for me and just told me to go online. That phone call turned me off from even wanting to come in at all. Poor customer service

Found this place after my local barber retired. Good service, prices are reasonable, and for me its a good location to be able to get to and get out of without dealing with the Lloyd traffic when coming from Mt Vernon.
