After months of searching, I found an apartment I really liked at Silverwood Villas (827 N Fig Escondido) which Green Harvest Enterprises owns (at least represents.)It was for myself and my almost 2 year old daughter.Her Dad and I split a few months ago and I’m trying to find a new place for us to call home long term.It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment... the lease is for 18 months and it was in budget. (Although the property manager? Leasing manager? called the second bedroom a ‘bonus room’ as it’s small, but my daughter is little and doesn’t need much space.)In my opinion, I look good on paper.I’m a 911 Dispatcher with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, have been for over 4 years... Stable, secure job, and reinforces no criminal background.No bankruptcies, no evictions, 700+ credit score, no pets...They called my ex’s Mom, my Mom, my work, basically everyone on my application... thoroughly vetted me for a week and then I got a call back a week later that my application was rejected for not enough rental history.I’m only 27. I went from my parents, to college dorms, to 2, 1 year rentals with my ex, to back with my parents now until I can find a place of my own.With both of those experiences; no late payments, no issues with landlords, etc... so yes, I don’t have a lot of rental history, but some and all good experiences.To me, the pros far outweigh the cons. So I’m confused and disappointed that we were rejected.Their Craigslist ad for the apartment has been re-posted which is again disappointing and infuriating, at the end of the day they’re a business...they now have an empty apartment and will spend more time vetting others when I was ready to move in immediately.I called and left a voicemail with the Asset Manager Javier and emailed the email address listed on their website, that was this Tuesday when I found out I was denied.I even offered to work with them, have my parents co-sign for me or pay a larger deposit, whatever might make them feel I was a more secure applicant.It’s Thursday now so it’s only been a few days, but I’m not holding my breath to hear back...

GHE is a very professional company and with great employees. We currently were looking for an apartment and the management they have at all their properties are very well educated and have the highest quality of customer service. Ive had a Very Nice Experience with Management company

Over the years Ive lived in numerous apartment buildings, and Ive never experienced the level of customer service that Green Harvest delivers. Its been 6 years now, and Ive only experienced 1 rent increase of $40.00 per month. Also, being a gated property give me and my kids a sense of security! I would highly recommend any of Green harvest properties to live in!

Live at Summerwood Villas, this company is remodeling all the property. Very clean and manager is super friendly

This company will nickel and dime you, their apartments are infested with Brown recluse spiders. They will hold your deposit for 21 days after you move. They never clean the pool, I was at 300 S Ivy Street apt 18 and they never cleaned it. When there is something wrong with the apartment they will send you to Home Depot. The apartments are nice but thats all youll like if you move in Beware! You been warned.

They still your money. They check my applications and say everything was fine. I have almost 5 year of rental history but my husband doesnt because he was a truck driver for 10 years and we told the manager and se said is ok. She said shell call me in 3 days and that never happened I have to be calling her and she said theyre busy. After a week I call again and she said no because my husband have no rental history. And I know at least 2 more people that they did the same. And I call corporate and say that because of my daughters credit but she bearly turned 18 and the manager said that is not a problem. Corporate said it is what it is. They dont help.

The property managers are very professional and all apartments are kept clean.

This company owns lots of apartments in Escondido. They maintain the buildings good. They are pretty strict and there properties are gated.

I was interested in several of their properties but they never answer the phone or call back!

There is a reason why they do not have a presence on the Internet, they do not want people to see their terrible reviews! These apartments and the management are a joke! The “Assest Manager” Javier Varela actually refuses to provide the information for his Supervisor, as does his employee Elvira Guerrero. They are crooks! When they owe you money, they will tell you that they will take care of “by the next business day” and then fail to return your phone call or email for OVER A MONTH. These apartments are trash. You get what you pay for.

Do not rent in these apartments, because they do not leave notifications to be able to enter your apartment 24 hours before and they keep more than half of your deposit and deliver it up to 21 days after you leave the apartment.

Good prices and they have many hidden apartments.
