Friendly, high quality, great price. Great for kids.We were greeted immediately after walking through the door. They had hand sanitizer and an award for some kind of work with the homeless. They absolutely take walk-ins and asked us to wait 5 minutes so they could sterilize the chair. Everyone wore masks unless they were trimming a customer right behind the ears.We were there for my son who had long pandemic hair that was getting unmanageable. They quickly gave him a booster seat and a fun neck cloth. They even changed the TV so that he could watch some transformers. He was delighted and quickly established a rapport with the person giving him a trim.They gave us exactly the cut we wanted and for a great price. I look forward to giving them my business in the future!

Definitely one of my favorite Barber shop experiences of my life! These guys are artists and really take their time to give you the best haircut that money can buy. I went away for the while on business travel but when I came back my hair was touching my ears and I definitely needed to get trimmed. My first thought was this place and luckily they are open for business! Make an appointment though because the wait can get long sometimes if they can fit you in at all! I had Alex cut my hair! He definitely takes pride in his work and his attention to detail was very much appreciated! See you guys next time!

Got to admit, 5 stars right here the min you walk in. Your immediately greeted and acknowledged your there. Definitely recommend seeing Irvin. Takes his time with making you look shape for whatever the occasion it might be. Will be back for sure. Been to alot of different barbers but got to say this one is defiantly my new spot

First time to Country Club Barber. Cool vibe and definitely geared toward the hipster generation. I recommend calling ahead. I did not have an appointment and I had to wait 1 hour. A lot of mature banter back and forth between barbers and customers, so wouldnt take any little ones. My haircut was excellent. Be prepared to drop 30 bucks. I will definitely go back.

Was a five-star fan of Country Club Barber Shop in Escondido (my original review below) but just tried to get a hair cut and now it seems like theyve jumped the shark so just reduced to three stars. I dropped in without an appointment (which Ive done in the past), and sat there for 20 minutes while two of their barbers werent working, instead goofing off and laughing at each others phones. Im there to get a cut and I would probably give the biggest tip of the day but they couldnt be bothered. So I walked out. Loved the place in the past. The guys that worked there were super cool but now I guess theyre too cool for me. Too bad.[Previous Review]Been going to Country Club for my last four haircuts and each cut has been great. They treat you like a valued customer and take their time on your hair. I had been going to Sports Clips, Supercuts and those kinds of places and getting bad to just plain horrible results. Country Club is just a little more money but a world of difference. Plus its a pleasure going to a place where the people cutting your hair are happy to be there, and not just churning out haircuts. Do yourself a favor and go to Country Club. Youll walk out of there with a great haircut and youll be in a great mood as well.

Went in for a fade , left with the worst haircut ever. Giving it 2 stars due to fact that Ive taken my son here before and they did a good job on his haircut.Went in today expecting a decent haircut left with the worst haircut of my life. Dont get your haircut from the person sitting in the back side nearest to the restroom wall cut your hair. Asked for a medium fade, when the guy got finished I had blotches of hair spots left. when I told him to clean it up he just kept going higher on the fade.Overpriced $30 for haircut I’ve gone to Supercuts and received $10 haircuts with better quality. Won’t be going here anymore

Second time taking my son to see Luis. My son got a botched cut my sports clips after having long hair. Luis fixed it and now my son wont go see anyone else. All the other guys are super cool as well. Totally recommend.

A-1 Shop! Best cut Ive had. If you are like me, and wont spend less than $20 at a barbershop for the point of maintaining only the highest quality haircut possible, this is the place for you. These guys are obsessed with the details, and make sure you dont get up from the chair until the finished product is perfect. The vibe is awesome for guys. Signage on the walls are entertaining and impressive, several TVs playing sports, and nothing but class is expressed with the design of the place.ROB was my Master Barber, and the guy killed it. Call in and ask for this him. He will make it happen.I have only visited this shop one time and walked away thoroughly impressed enough to write this review. Check these guys out.

Very busy folks and I was told from the start make an appointment solid advice or be prepared to wait an hour or 2. Also remember they cut hair, they close at 630 but doors lock ahead to finish up the last of the customers. Service is great! Mario cut my hair and had a good chat with him, the crew love what they do thats for sure. Music was even changed if children were present and had lyrics that may not be appropriate for them, thats a good sign they care about the image they put out. The place reminds me of an old school barber shop, keep up the good work and I plan to be a regular.

Would give them 6 out of 5 stars. I went there for the first time yesterday. I didnt have an appointment but they took me anyway. I only waited maybe 10 min? Classic Barber Shop and I like their style. I dont know the gentlemans name who did my trim but he is very good -- tall man with a beard. All of the guys in there seem like they have been at this for a while so I would trust any of them to cut my hair. Needless to say, Ill be back for my next haircut!

These guys came out to the streets of Downtown San Diego. As part of a homeless outreach team, they offered haircuts to the homeless free of charge. For 2 hours straight, person after person, they gave haircuts with the same quality as they would a paying customer in their shop. I know, I was one of the homeless that received a haircut. I asked them why they did this, and they said It is hard for people out here, and one of the best ways to help a person in this situation is with their confidence. One of the best builders of confidence is a great haircut, and we feel blessed to be able to offer them to you guys Wow. I was amazed as the person giving me my haircut spent nearly 20 minutes paying attention to every detail, while at the same time instilling hope in me that my situation is not permanent. I received more than 3 compliments on my haircut that day and was furnished with that feeling of freshness one has when they look their best. Thank you guys so much. I may never get another haircut from these guys as I live in Downtown, but for those looking for an awesome group of barbers, and the highest form of quality, and character, look no further. I went to The Country Club Barbershop for the first time today and i must say, theyve got a new regular out of me. Its a laid back atmosphere with classic hip hop playing, but the barbers are very skilled and serious about their work. Rudy, you made an artform out of it, seriously. Thanks a lot guys!P.S. Best barbershop in San Diego County hands down. G is my favorite barber there but everyone is good from what I can see. They even accommodate my 4 year old boy buy putting on cartoons when he is there. There is a lil bit of a wait but it is worth it, cant rush an awesome haircut.

Each time I go I get a great haircut. Ive seen 3 or 4 different barbers and each gave me exactly the cut I wanted. They pay really close attention to detail. The place is really clean inside. They also offer you a complimenary soda or beer. Pretty awesome place. Great price for a really good haircut. Only place I go now.

Tribby is the man to see if you need your beard or moustache styled or cut, and he does a great job with the top of your head, too. I did overhear one of the other barbers complaining for quite a long time to the customer in his chair about having to give customer loyalty discounts and how that screws him out of his own money. That was clearly a mistake on his part, but if you go see Tribby, hes a class act and hell take great care of you.

I used to enjoy this place. If youre a walk in, forget about it unless youre a homie or friend. Walked in at 10, sat there until 12 and watch obvious non appointments get called out ahead of walk-ins. No longer a fan.

Ive had 4 different barbers each time Ive gone, and they all did a great job to make you feel like youre their only appointment of the day.The days that people say they close early they are usually going to downtown to cut hair for free for the less fortunate.

Really liked this place for my boyfriend until today. He scheduled an appointment and was sitting there for 30 mins past with no word. He got up to see what was up and they said if he wanted a different person to cut his hair he could be next, but they were backed up. How about telling everyone you are backed up and appointments will take longer unless you dont mind who cuts. He would have taken someone else. He also got there 20 mins early and was told it would be another 15 mins after sitting there for 30. So the person ahead of him for a specific barber was going to take 1.5 hours??? This isnt a dye and style salon, its a barber shop. I understand it taking 30-40 mins but shouldnt take that long, and if it does, maybe schedule your appointments farther apart and stop taking them. This place also charges MORE for appointments and less for walkins, and isnt cheap, so you think theyd offer better service. Sad that this happened, we wont be back.
