Smaller operational shop but the work goes above and beyond expectations. There was a backlog in a larger body shop so a friend recommended this place to me. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I could tell from the body work these guys know what theyre doing. Tim did a great job blending. I tried as hard as I could to find the blend line but failed to find it (which is what you want to see lol if theyre worth their salt at that line of work anyway).

I am writing this review out of a deep belief that everyone who is considering using these people as your mechanic to think twice. I took my vehicle to this mechanic shop on 5/24/2018 when the shop was supposed to refill my cars freon for the air conditioner. They said that my cars compressor wasnt taking the freon with their tools they had at the shop. I have text messages from the mechanic to show this. When I picked my car up after school and began driving home there was a loud rattling sound coming from under the hood. I decided to turn back around because I was concerned that driving my car may make the problem worse and for the mechanic to see what the issue was. When I returned they informed me that my compressor is shot and that I would need a new one and it would cost over $1,000. I asked how this was possible and was expressing my concerns that this damage occurred when they were working on the vehicle. The mechanic did not want to offer any assistance for the repair and at which point I was going to call my AAA service to get my car towed to the Subaru dealership. However, before I was able to call for towing the mechanic John became aggressive and menacing. I was standing calm and was not wanting any further escalation of the situation. However, John would continue yelling threatening statements, putting his fist up near my face and telling me if I said anything else he was going to hurt me. At the same time another tattooed, mechanic was coming out of the garage to back John up and was encouraging John to act uncivilized. As you can imagine I was stunned with fear for my personal safety. I immediately called 911 and Erie Police showed up on scene to take a police report. I was emotionally distraught and barely able to get my report across to the officer. After the police arrived on the scene I drove my car off the property and to safety. I frankly wouldn’t even trust them with their U-haul business. Don’t let these people fool you with their initially laid back, friendly demeanor, they’re in fact an insane group of people who will not provide any restitution or solutions for damages that occurs to your car under their care.

Mike is very knowledgeable and willing to help out. He machined a couple Subaru cylinders and motors and did a great job!

The guys here were very helpful. I had tire valve caps that would not come off. I stopped by & they were able to get them off and tighten some other bolts as well. Free of charge!

Extremely disorganized, very disappointed with the service! I usually don’t leave comments but after my experience I had to let other know to beware: This place had good reviews so I decided to try it out after my check engine light came on. Very poor communication on their part, I felt that I was chasing them the whole time my car was in the shop, begging for updates. Everytime I called in the shop they didn’t know who I was and had to take my name and number down on 4 separate occasions! Even though my car had been in there for a day and a half. When I came to pick my car up the charges were double what they quoted me! Also, when I drove my car out the check engine light was still on! So I had to drive it right back! Now thinking that everything was finally taken care of, not even 2 weeks out my car doesn’t start and I’m back to square one! Cannot trust this place and know I would never have them do any work on my cars in the future. Will stick with Firestone or Monroe, at least there I know what I am paying for!

My college student went there for help with his car and was given exceptional service at a very fair price! A big relief to a parent a long way from Erie! Would recommend to anyone they go here.

Rented a Uhaul truck from them. Drove a total of 1.8 miles. Was charged for 12 miles. The young man who was working when we returned it upon being called on it, proceeded to f bomb my wife denying he was a liar. She called him later when I was in the room and did the same thing she handed me the phone and he continued. I feel sorry for the owner for trusting him with his business.

D&J Automotibe Performace was the first place that did not try to take money from me. They are very easy to deal with, very polite, great service and affordable prices. I wont take my car in no place else, just at D&J. Thank you guys, you did a great job.

In availing the Yelp deal, I had the rare opportunity to introduce this site and its functionality to Mike, who handled a brokedown starter with honesty and great care. He might not have known about Yelp (something hes sure his son mustve done) but he knows his vehicles. Thats what matters. The car starts now, but the real gem here is service. Mike went out of his way to complete the job on a Saturday and, when I explained Id be Ubering to get it, insisted that he pick me up instead. Thanks, Mike, and enjoy Yelp!

Don’t take your car here for any reason. They are disorganized, sloppy, unprofessional and surly. You have been warned.
