I went to American Automobile Association (AAA) to get my International Drivers Permit. The process was fairly smooth and somewhat quick. The staff was friendly. They were able to take the passport sized photos as well which was very convenient, although they charge non-members $15 plus tax.

Tried to call to just ask a simple question. After going through a series of voice messages a recording said they don’t have anyone to answer the phone but “Thanks for calling”. Nice service. NOT.

Unfortunately when I went in to pay a registration fee on a vehicle, their DMV associated told me I dont know what to do....so therefore I will do NOTHING! What a joke. ZERO attempt to help! Sad to pay fees to AAA for services that are NOT provided! If AAA / DMV is unable to help, thats fine, but at least MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO HELP!

Despite it being a busy day we were helped promptly and the service was great, super helpful!

Candace was awesome and very professional in taking care of all our needs. We didnt understand some of the paperwork and she helped us take care of it all without any worries.

This was a very easy to deal with location and the person who helped me made my life much easier with a suggestion that save me a lot of time.

Generally efficient and makes most mundane DMV tasks a breeze. The travel department was very helpful getting an international drivers license for me.

Ive had insurance with AAA for almost 7 years now and roadside assistance for even longer. My agent is the best out there! And AAA has always taken care of me with any accidents, paid well over the cars value when it was totaled. I went today with my good friend to see if they would let him pay his registration through my membership. The lady was so wonderful and took care of it with no questions. She was funny, sweet and just a refreshing personality! Im a fan!!

Everything was fast and went well. No big line when I went. Everyone had masks and special stickers to stand on the floor. Sigh... Everyone was nice, but didnt blow my mind.

I have now been a member with AAA for 20+ years... and each time I go into the local office in Encinitas... I am always amazed by the services offered... last wk was another one of those occasions that requires a shout-out to three individuals who went above and beyond to assist me in obtaining title on my 30 Model A....Lynn Mendoza and I have a history together.. Lynn has helped me in the past with obtaining a title on my 68 ironhead.. my 2010 CVO... my 69 polara and now my 30 Model A and of course.. each one came with baggage but not for the experience and diligence of Lynn... doubtful that any of these vehicles would be on the road... she is a most amazing asset to the entire team at AAA.... thank you Lynn.. total blessing working with you and so you know.. I will be shortly with my 51 Lincoln....Elizabeth Cohen.... Elizabeth working with Lynn... totally took the lead on assisting me with my 30 Model A ... this is the first time I have had occasion to work with Elizabeth and I have to say... total pleasure..... her sense of humor and willingness to go beyond the limits of an 8-5 job to assist me in the quest of obtaining title was truly a most enjoyable process... again... total blessing working with you as well... looking forward to seeing you in the nearer future ....Jana Suck.... They have a really good setup to keep everyone spread apart. Luckily it wasnt busy when I was there so it was easy to transfer a car title and have a document notarized. Most people respected everyones space except the guy there to shread documents.

Nice staff that sometimes need to be very patient with the people coming in.I am currently here for the notary services and it was less than a five minute wait.I really prefer to come here for dmv services over going to the dmv as it is so much faster.

Very easy dmv services. Took less than ten minutes to transfer title of a used vehicle. Cash only. Received a new license plate immediately which was nice.

Staff are helpful. Lines can get long, but staff do their best to take help each other and not get impatient. AAA membership- highly recommended!

Shifty and untrustworthy. member for life and on family insurance. AAA cancels my insurance and didnt even bother to reach out to me. Do not buy into the auto scam-club of America. Unfortunately there is not a zero stars option.

I called a few minutes ago and had the worst experience ever! The man that answered was f unhelpful he has no idea on what he is doing! He transferred me to their automated system instead of transferring my call to the correct agent I was looking for!

Nasser at Community Auto is probably the nicest, most helpful mechanic Ive ever encountered. I came here on a recommendation from a long-time Los Angeleno. I have a piece of junk truck that wasnt passing the smog check. Nassers guys had trouble finding the problem, because there are just so many problems with this truck, but they kept trying until they fixed it and didnt charge a dime extra. So friendly, and theres a nice waiting area with a CLEAN bathroom!

I was so impressed with the service I received today at the Encinitas AAA location. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. And I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. Thank you for making this such a pleasant experience for me!

Always excellent and fast service everytime I go here. This time I had top replace license plates on a new car. Last time they issued a disabled parking sticker. By far preferable to going to the DMV. Lots of parking and a convenient location. Love AAA!!

Well-run, great office with friendly staff. Never go to the DMV if you dont have to.

They have so much info on travel, whether by cruise, a desire for a land tour, hotels discounted and travel books of all types. You must be a member of AAA to get these venefits. I was able to get a DMV booklet to study for a written test renewal.

I went to AAA Auto Club Encinitas to transfer a car title to a new owner. The new owner agreed several times to transfer title and pay DMV fees. I wanted the sale to be complete as some family members have had ticket/court problems with people never tranfering title and the application remaining in their name. The person came without the money to pay fee after agreeing. I said no i wouldnt make the transfer, the person from AAA helping us sided with the person buying the vehicle. She said your signing it off, i said the vehicle wont actually be transfered until its registers with DMV, she said that was correct....my point made. Im giving AAA a 2 star rating. I was the member yet KNOWING MY CHOICE, she sided with the person buying the vehicle, making it more difficult for me to defend my decision. The person buying the vehicle eventually came up with the money and the vehicle was transferred completely at AAA Auto Club Oceanside an hour later.

Good service but you can only use cash or check and that seems a bit outdated to me.

I use to be a fan of this place however their service has gone way down hill. I pay for membership primarily to not have to deal with the DMV, but in providing DMV services they seem to have also adapted their piss poor attitudes, long wait times and disgruntled employees that seem to have the sole purpose of making your transaction so difficult and infuriate you.They get a lot of customers coming in on their lunch breaks, and so the AAA employees take their lunch break the same time. Horrible management, and prejudice attitudes.
