I should have gotten her name but the employees on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 around 4:45pm were rude. Specifically the representative that serviced me essentially rushed me through my package sending process, when I was simply trying to determine the least expensive route. The representative spoke to me in a condescending tone and tried to hide it under the prescriptive script of being professionally friendly. I imagine that I was taking too long for her because she rushed me through every step, not even giving me an opportunity to process the different pricing and shipping speeds. She saw that I was also attending to my two toddlers who were with me and nonetheless nice-nasty rushed me through the payment process. I know how to use a card machine. Forgive me if I actually want to read what Im being charged for considering that you wouldnt give me a minute to follow along or even ask questions about the pricing that you sped through and refused to repeat. JuST RUDE

Sharon helped me ship my package when I was confused and she took her time to make sure I understood. I think other reviewers need to understand that the people at this specific location are not responsible for the entire route your package takes to its destination.

Multiple packages have come through here and I have had no problem. Yesterday, I tracked my package and it showed delivered. Keep in mind it was snowing. I looked everywhere and asked my neighbours, and it wasn’t here. I want to ask WHO delivered my package and WHERE they placed it.Some similar situations were that I always look outside and I see the mailman carelessly throwing the package. I’m not sure if they changed the mail person, but they need to start caring about their job and place it on the porch, not throwing it randomly on the ground.

Stopped at this USPS location to drop off care packages for our troops overseas. The woman who helped me was courteous and pleasant to work with. The facilities is clean and they have a full parking lot across the street. The parking lot has a convenient drive-up mailbox. Street parking is also available right in front of the facility.

This is my favorite post office! The ladies are always so friendly and kind! One time I barely made it in because of traffic, got in exactly at 6:30pm and they were still so patient and lovely. I can’t imagine having to deal with frustrated and rude people all day and still having a smile on your face and patience for others!

Just dropped something off, The lady here was very nice and apologize for the wait. She was very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. I would definitely come back here again just because the counter lady was very friendly.

The postal workers are always throwing my packages from the bottom of my steps onto the front porch. In the picture below, the post man is throwing a vinyl record from the bottom of the stairs to my front door. The post office needs to hire people that can do the job correctly instead of people like this.

I don’t understand how this post office has low reviews. But this is one of the best post office locations I have experienced so far. The ladies are always friendly and provided quality Customer service. I originally use this location for PO Box. I never had any issues always receive my mail , packages and the workers always assisted me with any questions I had. I move from out the area. But if your thinking about using this post office for PO Box I highly recommend it. I wish everyone the best especially the workers that always assisted when I came to check my PO Box. Also thank you for providing me with quality service it was very much appreciate.

Very bad post office, Shannon has a very bad attitude. My mother placed a delivery for a WWE display box to be delivered from Greeley Colorado to elmwood park Illinois. However, the mailing service destroyed my display box stuff was missing and the box was ripped, torn and cut in half. Therefore, I called USPS customer care they told me to go to the post office and report a claim when I went to the post office Shannon told me “I know how to help you but I’m not going to” very inappropriate behavior towards their customers. Horrible service cause I will definitely be reporting this.

I ordered Stamps online about 3 weeks ago. Not only was it shipped late, but the tracking was suspicious when the packing arrived in the Elmwood Park post office to be delivered, suddenly tracking showed it left for Florida. Then after that and more time passed it returned to Elmwood Park. Now again shows out for delivery on 27 January 2020. Once again they did not deliver it, as tracking shows no access to delivery area. They managed to bring other mail, magazines but my stamps again no. Now they write available for pick up at post office. I paid to have it delivered, access to the house is fine, was always fine the mail carrier was just lazy to do the job and chose to scan it no access to house. Not acceptable service. Now I see why USPS has financial trouble! If they choose to not deliver to my door as agreed I will be going for a refund! I have waited long enough! Terrible post office!

I really like this post office . Im in and out in a flash and the ladies are very friendly and fast. So lucky I have this post office close to me. The only problem is there is zero parking so you run the risk of getting a ticket.

Lazy and very rude employees. I spoke to one of the employees and before I was able to finish my sentence, she interrupted me and gave me attitude. All I was simply trying to do was to pick up a package.

On the same day, I received a package that was delivered 3 days in a row and each day refused and return to sender written on the shipping address, and I received a first class letter that was post marked 16 days earlier whose point of origin was roughly 10 miles away. The level of incompetence is staggering at this office. If this was run like an actual business, their employees would be held accountable. Since it is not, all you can do is avoid the actual office and take all your letters and packages to River Grove, denying Elmwood Park the revenue and getting yourself a much more pleasant experience with competent employees. 1 Star is about 2 stars too many to describe this “post office.”

The best USPS location in the Chicago area I have been to. Its clean, nice big parking lot, lines are usually very short and the service is always so great. The kindest people work there.

It took 7minutes and 20 seconds to be served. Forever Stamps are $0.49 per unit. Very nice slow lady making sure people are absolutely ready with their packages before they are ready for shipment.They could work on the speed in order to compete with FedEx and UPS.

Delivery guy keeps putting wrong address letters in my mail box and i talked to their supervisor about this... still does the same thing. Or ive had my packages delivered to the next block over, still happens 1 year later. We were supposed to receive a package from europe that arrived at elmwood park post office but they cannot find the package anymore. Paid 70$ for a 2lbs package, express 3-5 day delivery to Poland, its been a week and its still in the US.

If I could give this branch zero stars I would. I consistently have packages that are marked as delivered on the e-tracking system that somehow never manage to show up at my house. Every time I complain I get the runaround and not one person ever takes responsibility for their gross negligence.This is a bunch of incompetent people and why exactly why USPS should be privatized.

The employees either lie or don’t know any better. Their postmaster agrees the employees were in the wrong.

If I could leave less or negative stars I would. This is mainly about our carrier. He is always messing up our mail. Delivering our mail to the same number but wrong street. Ave instead of Ct. Or posting a missed package notice final notice when we have never been notified before. Or never even rand doorbell or knocked to deliver package. Just assumes no one is home. Someone is always home. Something needs to be done.

On hold now for 1 hour 10 minutes. Package tracking said It would be delivered on the November 16th. Today is the 19th and the online tracking message now states Your package delivery is later than expected. Your package is in route to next facility and will still be delivered. What the Hell does that mean??? In route to which facility and delivered when???!!!. This is ridiculous!

The service is fine, the conveance of having greeting cards available there is great among other items that are needed to get your mail out and most of all service with a smile is paid for!😊☺😁

Just had my package delivered TODAY (11:59am). Went outside and got my package at 12pm. Box was open and no items were missing. I have photos. Been in hold before anyone can even pickup for 01:15:49. Wish I could give this USPS delivery center -100 stars

The staff are very helpful every time I have gone to this location. Parking is difficult at times. But, the staff is amazing!

Considering how bad the Congress and the Postal Service has cut things to the bone, I found the clerks at this PO friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They always give a smile and are neatly and professionally attired. I use this post office weekly.

Employees are awful doing their job well. In various occasions the carrier person has deliver someone elses package at my house. The same house number but different street name. As well as delivered my packages to the wrong address. In some instances the person receiving my package brought it to my house. The post office should either get new employees or do something about the current staff. I cannot trust USPS to deliver my packages anymore.

I had a certified letter notice posted on my door saying final notice. Come pic up or will be returned. That had been the first notice I received. The mail person is a dam lazy liar!!! I have people at my house 24/7. Never got anything!!! When I told the lady behind the counter. She totally brushed me off, and acted like I did something wrong.Also the mail person is always on the dam phone. She talks so loud she wakes up the dead! The whole street can literally hear her whole conversation. What a pathetic excuse for post office workers. Nobody wants to do their job any more soooooo lazy.

Definitely the worst and rudest people! I wonder how is it possible that after all these horrible reviews those same people still work there! I guess government doesnt care how they treat people who actually pay their salaries. Incompetent! They dont even know their own regulations! They can just refuse to take your package without decent explanation. And when you ask them to show regulations, they refuse and say Take it up with downtown office! What kind of an argument is that?! I checked the regulations and they are absolutely going against whats written there. Sharon just hates me personally, for God knows what reason? Her face changes the minute she sees me. Every time she picks on this or that detail in my mailing. Supervisor Diana Hernandez is horrible, rude, condescending and unprofessional. She does not know the first thing about customer serving. The minute she came out of the back door, she started yelling that my package is refused. The two of them talked at the backstage and supervisor was against me before she even came outside. She did not even look at my package! They all cover for each other. What do you expect? Every time I go there, it is like I am not in the US anymore. I am being treated like a criminal. Is it maybe because I speak with an accent? They always look down at me. I think after all these negative reviews, some sort of an investigation is in order. I will go up that ladder! I am tired of this!

Mail worker will not drop my mail in my mail slot door but leaves it sticking out of it although it could easily slip in .a couple of times the mail was blown out of the slot. I have a sign above the mail slot asking them to please put the mail all the way into the slot. I have notified the supervisor many times over the last three years, but the practice continues. They also leave other peoples mail who has a different address on the envelope. I can only imagine that they do the same for mine. They continue to leave packages although my sign says not to leave them unattended outside. Rarely do I get a notice for a certified letter, not pkg. And when I do it is for a final notice. Just recently the final notice was received 21 days after they received the letter.

The line hasnt moved in 10 minutes with only one person at the counter. I can hear many people loudly laughing and talking in the back room. Would be nice if someone could help out the single person accepting customers.

I wish I could sue them! They didnt deliver my green card first because they needed my signature, second time the came and postal service agent just dropped the green card on the floor near the staircase in the building where I live ,even didnt ask for my signature. One time already someone stole my package there, it is really irresponsible!!!

The customer service is horrible and the employees are unprofessional. The manager was nice when I complained about the service I received. I recommend they train their staff on proper customer service skills and to treat their customers with respect.

I called for information on how to apply for a passport for.my two yetar old. Though they no longer process passporrs at that location, the representative gave me all of the info I needed, and a # to the nearest post office that does process passport. I would have given 5 stars, but my experience was only over the phone.

I occasionally see an adult at the register but mostly 2 year olds are running the place. You can barely see them scurrying about but they are there. They are supemely fast and deceptive. They are probably the most skillful employees I have (n)ever encountered.

Today i had to wait 10 minutes for the PO to pen their window. I ended up leaving as to not be late for work l. After waiting for 5 minutes, someone ring the bell on a door. A worker took care of a customer and afterwards someone in the line asked for a supervisor and the little short heavy lady with glasses just glared and closed the door. I needed to buy shipping supplies and left without doing that because the side that sold it was still not opened.The workwrs are usually nice but terribly slow and it appears that they are always short staffed. To be 10 minutes late opening up is ridiculous.

I wish there was an option for negative , which is what I got from my ebay customers due to the fact that mail has been delayed there for over a week on 2 day shipping. They always have only one lady at the front desk who has no clue how to help you find out about your packages. I recently moved 2 minutes away from this office , but will now travel to ship my packages. AVOID THIS POST OFFICE IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED YOUR MAIL SHIPPED !!
