Read another review and decided to try Victorios. So, had a function, needed a quick haircut, usually go to one of the quick cheap places, but it was 8am and they were not open, so after reading a few reviews I just went. Its 3 blocks from my house, so I walked. They greeted me when I came in, got me in a chair, and asked a few questions. Then they got to snipping. It felt like it was taking a long time, but I was really relaxed and comfortable. It didnt feel like he had some much, but when he turned me to the mirror I was shocked, he was mostly done, and the cut looked great. Then he lathered up my neck and straight razored it. Damn it was good!I totally recommend trying Victorios. Its like a blast from the past, in a very good way.

Great cut, this is the real deal!

I get a pretty simple haircut (#2 buzzcut) and have been going to supercuts/sportcuts/greatclips (or whatever they are called since they are all the same) for the past two years and have never really been happy. Very rarely have I found someone not trying to cut my hair as fast as possible just to get me out the door to get the next customer in.This place is not like that, this is a family ran, old school barbershop. It was like having a family member cut my hair. They took their time and were friendly which was a nice change of pace for me.Youre not going to walk in to a brand new fancy designed shop here, there arent flat screens on all the walls. This place is functional first and foremost. There are three classic and comfy barbershop chairs that you sit in while watching the old tube TV playing whatever daytime TV is on at the moment. Im sure if you want to watch something else they will let you take your pick.I will be making this my new place to get my haircut, it cost me $16 and it was worth it. They will give you what you ask for then clean up your neck and sideburns with a straight razor. Ive never had that done before and it was just the topping on the cake that shows that they care that you look your best when you walk out of their store.This place gets it. Simple, clean, friendly and they care. I am so glad I took a chance on this place. If you live in Elmwood Park or River Forest area you owe it to yourself to go in and get your hair cut here, you wont regret it.
