I have been a customer at Smyth Jewelers at Turf Valley for several years and their store is excellent in every way. I’ve purchased jewelry for myself, gifts and recently had a few custom pieces made with Peggy’s help which are beautiful. She is wonderful to work with as is the manager Katherine!!

Smythe Jewelers is the best. Most wonderful helpful staff and beautiful array of selections to choose from. There’s no pressure selling just lots of information offered to assist with selections. I would never even think about going to any other store to purchase jewelry or have it cleaned or repaired. They are exceptional and the customer service is stellar. My experiences at Smyth are always a delight. I had some rings appraised by them several years ago and was able to get the appraisals updated recently at no additional cost. Cant say enough about this store and the staff. I have used them a few times over the years. Most recently I came in with a sentimental ring that was broken, and I wanted to give my daughter for her 21st birthday. The jeweler give me the wonderful suggestion of redesigning it into a necklace that not only was a more beautiful option but more inexpensive than redoing the ring as well. She went out of her way to help and guide me and keep me within my budget. My daughter was thrilled with the result!Thankfully I had bought the very, very inexpensive insurance policy that allows me to bring in the necklace if it breaks for any reason whatsoever. Sure enough a couple of weeks into owning the necklace it broke in a freak accident and they quickly repaired it for me no questions asked!I couldnt recommend this jewelry store more It has a local flavor, personal service, beautiful jewelry and amazing staff that go above and beyond.

I talked with Peggy about having a ring resized that my mom had originally purchased for me here five years ago. We discussed the fact that the engraving on the inside of the ring may be cut through or stretched out but when I came to pick it up yesterday there was neither. They did a great job and I will continue to come here for my jewelry needs as I could not have asked for more careful work on such a special piece!

I always receive amazing service at Smyth Jewelers. They bend over backwards to accommodate you in every way. Nick the manager repaired 5 of my costume jewelry pieces yesterday in less than 10 minutes. I never expected that they could even help me with this request. They have beautiful jewelry as well and I would never shop anywhere else. Coming from a background of Marriott and Disney in upper level management positions excellent service is one area of business that i am extremely aware of and I always have to give them 5 stars!!

They have amazing customer service here. We have a great time every visit. We made a few purchases here. I also received an appraisal for my emerald ring as well as repair. They have email and text services to keep you updated on your purchases that cant be bought out of the case or appraisal completions.Their prices are not low, but they are reasonable for some of the pieces you may buy.The maintenance charges and jewelery repair pricing is affordable and timely. The repair technician (I know theres a better name) is personable and does quality work.

Not a fan of the service. I have had several less than excellent experiences over the years. Howevwr, they do have a nice selection and seem to carry some higher quality pieces.

I was a bit disappointed in my experience- thought I had to started to develop a relationship with Smyrh. This interaction started okay but then, once started, I never received any progress updates. I left a text message for the associate (who never responded) and finally had to physically walk in the store to get someone to respond to me and then it was a ‘blanket’ yeah - it’s all good. Timing took months. I guess loyalty (to this local merchant) doesn’t automatically create reciprocal service and responsiveness.

Smyth Jewlers are the best. Amazing quality, and even more amazing service. The sales consultants are not pushy and they take a real personal interest in you and help you find exactly what you want. I wouldnt buy jewelry for my wife or daughter anywhere else.

We are very happy that we got our custom made Tacori wedding set from Smyth in Ellicot city! We looked all around different Jewellery stores and none compares to the quality and service as them. I love my diamond halo and pink sapphire ring and my round diamond band. It was a wonderful shopping experience, bc I got to come by a couple of times to look at different center stones until we found the perfect one. The staff is very helpful and the place feels luxurious to shop. We will come back next time when we are ready for another piece of jewelry!

My husband & I visited Smyth Jewelers in Marriottsville to shop for a special diamond ring (for me!) for our 50th wedding anniversary (where does the time go!). We have bought several lovely pieces of jewelry there over the years including the diamond I received for our 25th anniversary. Peggy showed us a nice variety of settings & loose diamonds, & she gave us valuable advice about size, color, clarity vs price etc. We made our choices, received my ring in 2 weeks &, as always, it is beautifully set as promised. Everyone at Smyth was fully masked (as were we) & distanced so we felt both welcome & safe shopping there. If you haven’t visited there before, you should try it because it is truly a wonderful shopping, or even browsing, experience.

It’s hard to believe that three years ago my husband and I were ring shopping. We went to Smyth first and then three other stores. We ended coming back to Smyth because they had the best customer service and they treated us so well. We left that day knowing what ring I would have (and wedding band too!) and it just felt right. Since then I’ve been taking my rings for spa treatments and every time I go in I am greeted with such kindness. Looking at all the jewelry definitely makes me want more haha someday I’ll get my husband to spend more money on me again. Smyth is honestly the best and I’m so happy we chose them.

Mark was extremely helpful on my recent visit. He helped me check out a used GIA microscope that I had purchased but didnt quite know how to use. He replaced the bulb for me, showed me that optics are working, and gave me some very useful tips. Just a very pleasant and professional fellow and made my day. Also he quickly replaced a couple of watch batteries for me. Truely great service!

I came in to get two birthday presents.After being in the store for less than 5 minutes Lauren came to help me find what I was looking for, earrings. She took out several rails of earrings, and answered all my questions.Together we found two perfect pairs. She wrapped them herself in pretty paper, and presented me with great gifts, jewelry cleaner and polishing cloths. She also cleaned my rings for me. Congratulations to management for hiring and training Lauren. Smyth has been my “go to store” for close to 50 years.

I have only left a few reviews in my life. But when a place puts forth an effort like this, I will take the time. Buying jewelry from them has gone beyond the sale. My wife’s wedding ring was damaged again after several years and once again repaired without cost.

After looking at many stores, I expected a bit more of a professional presence when walking in. I made an appointment and all that. After looking at a few pieces they sent in the closer to try to wrap it up. I dont spend that kind of money without really feeling comfortable with my purchase and their pushing had me looking elsewhere.I went to another local vendor of the same designer and ordered the same thing for less money. Their salesperson spent the time to make sure I got the right piece and felt comfortable. They earned a client while Smyth lost one.

Lauren was super helpful and pointed out a necklace I hadn’t even seen! I walked out of the store with it and will be getting some extra items on my registry in the near future. The mimosa while shopping was a huge plus.

I can not rave enough about the attention and care given to me at Smyth. I went in looking to purchase a last minute gift for a friend.
