EDIT: After my initial review I was contacted by the business and the offered to send out another repair person to see if they could make it right. And they did! While still a tad annoyed by the fees, I very much appreciated the follow up and getting the work done that I had initially requested. I recommend Mr. Handyman, but as a word of caution, make sure you know exactly what needs to be done and have the parts to do it before they come out.So, The handyman came out, friendly guy but he informs me that the work which I had explained to the rep in some detail, couldnt be done because the size wasnt right (which I had told the rep and explained what I needed done to get around that). So, again, nice guy, but I was charged 188 dollars for nothing. To add insult to injury, there was an additional 4 dollar CC processing fee, and, unbelievably, an additional 6 dollars for booties and a mask. I am considering raising a complaint to the AG of MD because I was definitely mislead.

I was very pleased with all aspects of the service and response. The congenial, knowledgeable and efficient service was exactly what I hoped for. The only negative was the $9 charge for PPE. I never begrudge materials costs, but this should have been mentioned up front in the confirmation email. It’s not the amount - it’s the principal.

We had such a great experience with Mr. Handyman. Our technician, Tim Forrest, came in and helped us see our vision through! He expertly uninstalled our original 1980s wall microwave (which he said was one of the oldest and most difficult mounting systems he had ever seen) and expertly moved the wires and installed a hood vent in its place. We are thrilled with the result and that it was all done efficiently and with the knowledge that our eyesore is now gone forever!

Jared built a beautiful set of steps off of the front porch..ten feet wide, exactly what I wanted. He really knows what he is doing! Friendly and efficient. I have been using mr handyman for quite a few years and I would never use any other company!!

I submitted an online request Friday morning and within minutes, a representative called me. I was able to schedule an appointment that same day. Not only was I satisfied with the work, I was satisfied with the price. The service is fast, good and affordable. This is my second time using Mr. Handyman. I plan to use this company for future repairs and projects.

The crew was good and professional and got the job done. Expensive though. They had estimated $800/$900 but final amount was double ($1700). Admittedly they did more than originally anticipated but I was anticipating $1200-$1300.

I used Mr. Handyman recently to fix my leaning mailbox. When I booked the appointment I asked if I needed to provide concrete and was told that the repairman would have it in his van. Of course when he arrived he said he was not told that and so he had to run to the store to buy some. He also said my post was rotted and needed to replace that as well. An hour later he arrived back at my house with the supplies (even though Home Depot is less than 10 minutes away) and proceeded to fix my mailbox. Overall the quality of his work was good, but he originally tried to charge me $460 for labor and parts. When I questioned the bill, he took the charges down to $390, which is still a crazy price to pay to increase the size of an existing hole and pour a little concrete in the hole. I was charged $77 in material fees (for the concrete and 4x4 post) even though the items together cost less then $25 at Home Depot, plus I was charged an hourly rate of almost $125 for him to drive there. Overall, I feel completely scammed by this company and will not use them again.

We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Handyman. Our technician, Jimmy, couldnt have been more kind, thorough, and skilled. He took time to explain everything to us to make sure we were comfortable with the process before he began and gave us regular updates as the project progressed. He also gave us great instructions for how long to wait before using the area after the work was completed. His time estimate upon arrival was extremely accurate and the work he did came out great. We wouldnt hesitate to use Mr. Handyman again and would probably request to have Jimmy back if we could! Having Jimmy in our home was like having a friend come by to help us out. He was so nice. He also took extra lengths to keep our house clean (bootie covers, drop cloths, etc.) and tidy from beginning to end. It was a flawless experience!

The worker came on time and was very professional. The project took a long time but he took his time, making sure each step was carefully and accurately completed. He also made sure everything was clean before he left. Highly recommended!

Luis was assigned to our long list of general repair tasks that we needed to have done. He was on time, courteous, and made sure that we were happy with the work after each item that he completed. I was very pleased that he was able to handle everything that we asked him to do. He installed a new lighting fixture, changed out lightbulbs in our two story living room, fixed about 10 sagging doors, and took care of a plumbing issue with our bar sink. 10/10 will do business with them again if we need anything done around the house.

We used the service to install a few vent guard covers over the dryer and bathroom exhaust vents on the outside of our house to prevent birds from nesting in them. James did a great job!

Absolute scam- judging from reviews I expected a good experience but was surprised at how hard they make it to work with them. Called Tuesday or Wednesday to have someone replace window and was told maybe just the glass needs replacement so I agreed- they had their “glass specialist” come out looked at it for 2 minutes took some measurements and said someone will call. This was on Friday. Waited until Tuesday without a call so I called them and was told someone will reach out tomorrow- great!They called the next day and first thing they tell me it’s going to be a whole window replacement not just the glass - ok fine I agree ( most likely they don’t make enough money with just glass so they say whole window needs replacement) then they say it’ll be 2-4 hours and around $500-700 excluding material. So I ask ok can you give me an estimate just around how much for window replacement? They put me on hold jump around the question and say we’ll need to have our “window specialist” come take a look and that will be $180. That will be another week of waiting and they just want me to pay them the $180 and pray that they don’t charge an outrageous amount after the $180 estimate. This is ridiculous and it shouldn’t be this hard

He also caulked the gaps in the bottom of the front door, the Garage Doors and the two french doors on the rear of the house on the deck level and the basement level.We felt our experience with Mr. Handyman was transparent on pricing, highly responsive, communicative, and accomodative of rescheduling the original date due to a Doctors appointment that came up unexpectedly.And we are appreciative that the job was done well. Would definitely recommend Mr.Handyman. Had to pay for someone to come out to give me an estimate to fix my washer and not fix the issue on the spot. You do not even have certified techs on staff and you partner with another organization which told me they only charge $99 to come to your home when you charge double that. I will never recommend your services to anyone. This is a complete ripoff and scam.

He listened carefully while I explained the problem and efficiently went about fixing it. Tim Forrest was my technician that arrived for our leaking shower. It was a very frustrating two days between trying to find someone to come out and help us. However, from start to finish Mr handyman has earned my business for life and changed my frustrating situation to a positive one. Suzanne in the office made it a priority to adjust their busy schedule to have someone come out within 24hrs. When Tim arrived to my home he was a class act from start to finish. He was wearing PPE during this COVID-19 pandemic, I appreciate the fact they care enough when entering someones home. Tims diagnosis was well explained and HONEST about the repair he did (long story short the person we had install our shower years ago took a short cut and didnt install a correct shower pan thus causing a leak). Tim applied a very high powerful silicone that stopped our leak and saved us a ton of money for now until we have to get this done. Its tough to find honest workers today. Myself who runs a automotive shop I preach on truth when talking to our customers and not upselling or lying, I can tell mr handyman shows the same respect and cares about their customer. Thank you all again.

Our technician, Tim, was very knowledgeable arrived on time and prepared to complete the siding repair job in the allotted time and even repaired a few other issues with our gutter guards while there. Job was performed on-time, on budget, great quality and no surprises...all good stuff.

If I could give Mr. Handyman zero stars, I would. The company is a scam and fraud. I hired them to install a 10 sq. ft. ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen. Tile was standard off the shelf and I had all the supplies. I was told that they would bring tools, including a tile saw (which I specifically asked about). When the technician arrived he had no saw that could cut tile. Two hours later (which I was charged for), he came back with a saw (which I was also charged for) and finally started work. 4 hours later the tile was up (more or less). The technician damaged about a dozen tiles but installed them anyway. He said that when he returned in 2 days to grout he’d fix them with a hot glue gun. He did that, charging me $102 for a hot glue stick (even though I had some on hand). Of course he failed to repair 2 of the broken tiles and grouted over them. Oops. The grouting job itself is a disaster. The technician grouted over electrical outlets, grouted wood cabinets and rubbed a big hole in my wall trying to wipe down the excess grout he slopped everywhere. There’s a new patch and paint job in my future; thanks Mr. Handyman! Patches of tile have no grout, patches have glops of it. I guess it evens out? Best of all, he grouted the protective plastic wrap that the tile came in — yes, grouted in plastic shreds (which I can’t remove without digging out grout). Corners and edges are all grout, no tile. My kitchen looks like a disaster. 10 hours of labor and almost $1500 — the technician won’t leave without being paid. I called the home office twice trying to reach someone to help. But they already had their check, so no luck. I’ve tried twice to reach the owner, Rob, but “he may not come to the office for awhile.” No call back of course. I’ll be filing an MHIC complaint and filing a fraud complaint with the state comptroller. Do yourself a favor — avoid this scam of a company. You will be defrauded.

Coronett, who is our Handyman from Mr. Handyman, has got to be the hardest working person I have every met. He can repair/replace or install almost anything in our home and has been doing so for many years. I cannot more highly recommend him as a Handyman.

MrHandyman is the biggest rip off company. I called them to install 2 mirrors.. since they said one mirror was extra large theyll need 2 men to do the job and it took those 2 men 21/2 hours to put up both mirrors on the wall and i ended up paying 600 dollars to put up one oversized mirror and 1 regular size. Stay away from this business, folks. Insane rates!!!!
