What started out as something that was just going to be a summer job to get some money for college ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. Ive been able to learn not only how to grow myself professionally, but personally in all aspects of my life. Vector does teach you the skills for life and that was truly a testament when I went through the hardest time in my life. Jaymison the manager is one of the biggest influences and mentors in my life. And after leaving the company and coming back, Ive looked and its hard to find such a stand up guy much or less a company that treats you like family. Ive met some of my best friends through this experience that will be my friends for life. I encourage anyone who is considering this position to really see what youre made of and go out of your comfort zone. There really isnt an experience anywhere else like this!

I am pleased to say that I got an opportunity to actually work with Vector Marketing. I love meeting new people and learning about new things. Working for Vector at the beginning for me was sort of tensing, I didnt know if I would feel welcome or fit in, but I did and I felt very welcome feeling at home. Another thing aside from me working with Vector, not only were they warm and welcoming but most importantly their gadgets and equipments were and still are over the top awesome!!!!!! My suggestion for everyone out there who may not know of Vector. Give it shot!! See for yourself; what they are actually about and what they are made of!!!!

Alright heres some real perspective... I was skeptical before coming into an interview, but Im the kind of person that checks things out for myself so I went in for an interview. They told me all about the position and pay in detail, I liked what I saw, so I gave it a try. This ended up being the most valuable experience of my life. I gained life skills that I still use in business today. I started as a 19 year old college student and made $16,000 in my first 4 months and ended up paying my way through school. I dont understand some of these low ratings on here. Some people get salty when they fail and they like to blame everyone but themselves. This is a flexible job, and you get exactly what you put into it. Its just like school... Some people get good grades, some people get bad grades. All of the students had the same opportunity. Some kids with Ds and Fs will blame the teacher.

I was pretty skeptical of the job when a friend who was already working there referred me, I wasnt sure I had what it takes to be a salesperson. What I found is that if nothing else the product is truly amazing & sells itself, so the job is really simple. That doesnt mean its easy! But anyone who has a good work ethic & a positive attitude will have an amazing opportunity with Vector. I worked in their entry level position throughout college and graduated debt free. I have nothing but good things to say about Vector and will continue to recommend the job to any friends and family who want to grow personally & professionally.

My manager was super fun. The products are great and my customers loved it. Many of the people who bought products from me already had purchased before. The were excited to add more to their kitchens.

1. They are extremely Prejudice and Racist. As in Questioning my Military Service during the interview After I showing my Military ID as proof, Then she shrugs her shoulders. Next she says I will call you tomorrow. Which turns into a month. Then the front desk clerk and the interviewer says. I don’t believe that guy isn’t in the Military. He isn’t even a Harvard Student. He’s delusional and dumb.... It is so sad we live in a World where Ignorance allows people in believing someone can’t be that successful.

I started working for this company in 2012 and I can definitely say that this company gave me the push forward that I needed to get where I am today! Vector has taught me multiple leadership qualities and has given me the courage and ability to be outgoing with people/customers. I have been away from this company for years and I still use what Ive learned from them today! I love the culture that this office provided and I still speak to my old coworkers even after being away for so long. Jaymison Jones, the Division Manager, still influences me today. He pushed me to my limits and I was able to achieve goals I never thought were possible. Im glad that I can call Vector Marketing my first real job and know that Ill always be a part of the EG DREAM TEAM!

Its a scam. They try to get you by pitching their shitty products to your family members so your family feels obligated to make a purchase for the simple fact that yall are family lol. Went to the class and they literally said we couldnt leave until we make a call to setup a meeting with a relative/friend ... Total bs. So I faked my damn calls to get tf out of there before anyone else. Never showed up for their next class. They can take their dicky doo dah knives and shove them far up their ass

I have been with Cutco/Vector since February of 1994. I called the phone number on a road side sign that offered $10.25 per appt, not per hour. I went to an interview and I got the job. I eventually worked my way up to a management position within the organization. I stayed with them until December of 1998. I had recently gotten married and my wife at the time wanted me to get a 9-5 job, which Cutco is not. I interviewed with a national advertising and marketing firm and was offered a job. I was told the reason I got the job was because of my work experience with Vector/Cutco.I used my experience to take an advertising desk from $400,000 annually to $960,000 annually in 24 months!I then used my Cutco experience to get a job in the car business as an Internet Manager at a local Toyota dealership. At that job, I became regional top 5 and national top 20 for Customer Satisfaction Index. My crowning achievement was to sell 53 cars in a single day for over $1,000,000 in gross receipts. It was a fleet deal, but I attribute my Cutco experience to my success in the car business. In 2010/11, I went through a horrible divorce and came back to Cutco in March of 2011 as a result. I met my current wife during that time and I am now a national top ten rep while holding down the number one spot in my division - NorCal Division. I make a great living with this company and I have no desire to go anywhere else.In my tenure with this company, I have heard many negative things about Vector/Cutco, usually from disgruntled reps or receptionists that either lost their job or did not do as well as they thought they should, so as a result, their attitude toward the company is less than stellar. Here are some common misconceptions about the company -1. Pyramid Scheme - no, we are a direct marketing company. We pay our sales reps a guaranteed rate of pay for each appointment that they complete or a commission, which ever is higher. This is explained in depth during the interview process. We have a Branch (temporary summer office) with a Manager, District (year round office) with a Manager, Division with a Division manager that oversees that day to day operation of the Division with consists of Branch and District offices.2. Per Hour Pay - Cutco has only offered a per hour pay when it comes to paying receptionists that I am aware of, other than that, reps get paid per appointment (not hourly) or commission, which ever is higher. As your sales increase, your commission also increases.3. Cutco is going out of business - Cutco is definitely not going out of business. We are the number one set of high quality kitchen Cutlery sold in the United States and have been for almost three decades now. We are now found in Costco on a traveling road show basis and we also have brick and mortar stores in the Mid West and Eastern sea board.4. Cutco is over priced - No, Cutco is definitely not over priced. I have gone out to William Sonoma personally and have looked over pricing of our competitors and Cutco is definitely the least expensive option for high quality Cutlery. Our three main competitors are Wustohf, Henkles and Shun. They offer many different price points, but their high end lines have knives that are two and three times more expensive than ours. Our highest priced blade is a Cleaver for $194 + tax that includes a leather sheath. Henckles offers the 6 Bob Kramer Euroline Chef Knife for $329.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. Our 7 Chef Knife is only $130 + tax. So, yes, Cutco is not cheap, but in comparison to our competitors, we are far less expensive for the same if not higher quality blades. There is a lot more I can go over, but I feel I am writing a novel here. I can understand peoples frustration when they lose a job or it is not what they thought it was to be, but Cutco is a great company. Its a great company to work for as well. Thank you for reading.

Hate would be an understatement, this company wasted my time and efforts. As an employee that speaks for not only myself but other collegues that have worked with me and experienced the same lack of professionality from Vector Marketing. These people hire you and claim they need you but only to use you and let you go unexpectedly without ANY NOTICE. I left on my own terms with this company, and that is after I saw how they were treating my coworkers. I knew I wasnt going to sit there and let them play me like their puppet. We are all hard working young ladies trying to make a living and they used that to their advantage. They get us to work so hard and to schedule soooo many appointments (bcs they cant find ways themself to recruit ppl to work for their lack of a company), but when Vector didnt need us, they were quick to give people the boot, and for no reason at all. Stats are only used as an excuse! Making a living is already difficult but when you have this ridiculous shady company who is fake to the bone and is no where up front about their answers its inappropriate, but hey what can you expect from a sales company? Lol I feel embarrassed to say that I have worked for this company as a RECEPTIONIST, not even a sales rep and Im seeing all of this. This company recruits people out of high school or in college or anyone that will believe their fake business motto. They over price and sell people housewares that cost you so much! Its nothing but an inside pyramid scheme and I hope anyone that is contacted by them or is thinking about applying will read this and rethink your decision. Dont waste your time if you are looking for employment with this company, I dont care how many stories they personally tell you about reps selling and making X amount of money, its not true! If your reps were really making as much as you say, why are so many of your offices are going OUT OF BUSINESS. Two of my roommates are also former employees, they stayed when I decided to quit, and sure enough the receptionist manager Kristen Jones, called for a meeting and during that meeting she let one of my roommate go, saying it was because of his stats but his stats have never been an issue bcs he has always done well, and well enough for Jones to promise him FULL TIME HOURS. She let my other roommate know that she was KEPT and that Jones herself would email a schedule. WEEKS go by and still nothing, no call or text or even an email indicating anything. We are all roommates and our manager Kristen Jones, knew that! And she booted everyone anyway without notice. Btw her husband, Jaymison is the one thats at the top of this pyramid scheme, telling applicants all these stories about how much money their company makes, all exaggerated lies. Your company is going under because people are realizing who you really are as a company no matter how many scripted answers you have for them! I understand if business decisions need to be made, but they could at least be honest and let us know so we can find a better business to work for, instead of waiting til the last second so that we are all stressed. Like they have mentioned so many times, they may have a family to support but that doesnt give anyone a right to step on other people to get your success up. If you have second thoughts about Vector, trust your instinct because chances are youre right. Honesty always wins.
