Dont deal with these crooks, once you are their payee get ready to go on bread and water and be kept penniless and looking at a court battle. The biggest mistake I have ever made in my whole life.

This place has been a life saver for me I am so grateful for the center, the staff and peers have been wonderful and supportive.

Caring therapists, case managers and admin here, ready to serve the Elgin community. NAMI office in the building as well, big plus!

A lot of the staff are amazing, very compassion and professional, some staff you have to watch out for though sadly. They clearly have the same issues they are treating people for so can mess with your childs progress if not noticed right away but they let you switch to a more stable person at any point if you have a problem so made my issue fixable. So I would definitely suggest ecker to others for mental health

This is the best place ever. Yeah, sometimes the wait for your appointment is longer, but they try so hard to take care of as many as possible, without as much staff as they really need. I stayed here in crisis residential voluntarily, it was phenomenal. Owadi(not sure if thats spelled right) was the evening staff usually and was like a father figure to me. They all took care of us, an I always felt cradled in a warm blanket of protection. Although Im on a lot more meds now, it works for me. I have all the resources thanks to the people who ran the psr core groups. The recovery group was fantastic as well! There was NEVER any inappropriate behavior from the staff....with the exception of this black lady with crazy eyes who kept opening my room door, screaming about a fire drill. Everyone here works their butts off though and I can say I truly love you all for helping me. Youre all fantastic people who have changed my life and made me FEEL I deserve to live for the first time. Thank you!

Constant scheduling issues. go somewhere else theyre going to waste your time

This was a great place very helpful for a lot of people. Then Management became very different staff changed rules changed email started some people dont understand it perfectly administrators busy telling you all about their lives and then you walk in one day to a surprise no funding and theres a surprise same people InCharge of the Larkin house open for 118 years and surprise it closes starting to wonder if the management isnt on board to serve themselves and still serving the people that really need the help

The Psr groups here at Ecker are great I even enjoy the wellness center and I am also a client of Cst. I feel theCase managers are very caring and supportive. If I could change one thing it would be my psychiatrist Dr. Kartan I don’t feel like she cares much about me as a patient and lastly the amount of time that people have to wait to be seen by a state licensed therapist here It is much to long.

I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown, so I went to Eckers Emergency Psychiatric Program. It was honestly a great decision! I didnt have an appointment I just walked in! Its next to ER at Sherman Hospital, and theyre open 24 hours a day. The staff there are really nice and caring, and seem professional. They helped me really fast, and I feel alot better now!!

Good if you need the bare minimum.
