Absolute dream job. You dont deliver anything on time, can be rude about it when you charge people extra to get things delivered faster, and then have the nerve to say I didnt do my job taking care of my family because you guys didnt deliver my package on time. Beauty of Federal jobs, they have a 1.7 rating for being rude and not taking care of TAX PAYERS but cant be fired for it. Any other company would have fired all of them.

If I could give them 0 stars I would so I went to the post office to cash a money order. The woman looked at my DL and said your DL is fake I said this is real if you can check out the seal. Then she passes my DL to another employee he then gives it to his supervisor. I’m 5 months pregnant arguing with a grown man about my Driver License!!!! I told him he can Call the DMV to confirm the date! I told him the whole thing was silly. He then argues with me for assuming i was calling him silly! They are completely uneducated and rude there!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Supervisor was the rudest person I’ve ever seen working in customer service. He kept repeating that he’s been working there for 30 years. Yeah, it shows. He seem like a miserable human. He was not on the same page as his employees and he couldn’t admit that one of them was wrong. I got to google to write this review and it made perfect sense that they had 1.9 stars. I’m actually surprised it’s that high.

The supervisor doesnt know his job, I went there for a money order replacement, I asked for a form PS 6401, this dude called the cops on me and alleged that I was harrasing the staff. On the freaking usps website it clearly states, for a money order replacement go to your local post office and ask for a form PS 6401, with the original money order and the receipt. I was so shaken when I saw the cops come over!! Ill be looking at suing the post master general of Edwardsville.

East Lake Drive, at least our section of it, did not get a mail delivery yesterday! Dont know why...but living here for 24 years and I cant recall that ever happening before. And I agree with many of the other reviews about the customer service inside the Post Office I read. No longer warm and friendly like it was before...WHAT HAPPENED?

Have been trying to get my mail delivered for four months. I send mail to myself and its not delivered or returned or held at the post office. Every time I have brought this to the attention of the local post office, I get a new green vacant card, which I remove.

I have never found the post office staff to be anything less than professional, with more times than not, very pleasant and helpful. The counter service personnel always provide me with my various options and the benefits of each. When there are long lines, its due to customers needs not employees being slow.Please understand then huge negative section to come comes during the pandemic. However, the issues predate the pandemic. Additionally, we understand the extra stress during this time. However, everyone is under more stress with most not having these issues at work.When we built our house in rural area 11 years ago, we found our carrier to be a little grumpy. After getting to know him, he was actually a very nice guy. We NEVER had misdelivery. He retired a few years ago. Now, we have several carriers and endless misdelivery of packages, not envelopes. Full on shoebox size packages. Luckily, the neighborhood has pitched in making the delivery to correct addresses. However, we arent paid to do so. Its getting out-of-hand. Additionally, we have had packages that are too big for mailbox left at base of mailbox in the rain. Luckily, the contents were inside plastic within the box each time. Finally, our carrier doesnt understand the concept that some packages dont fit in mailbox and force them to fit anyway. We have had to cut open boxes while in mailbox, remove item, and deconstruct box to get it out. We have ZERO issues with FedEx, UPS, and Amazon delivery so we know its possible to perfectly deliver packages in our area.

Terrible service. Refused to deliver package because they would have had to walk in 3 of snow, then when we called to pickup a post office they refused saying they would deliver it in a few days! The fellow at the post office got very rude and hung up when we questioned this.UPDATE: The package was finally delivered 7 DAYS AFTER we cleared all the snow...

Dont get me wrong the people who work in the office are great and super helpful.The issue is that the carriers are constantly scanning packages as attempted delivery and leaving slips without having the package. I receive multiple packages from overseas each month and anything that needs a signature will never be brought to my door. I work overnights and am home all day. Not once has a delivery carrier knocked or rung the doorbell.Today was the last straw. I caught the carrier leaving the slip and drove over to the office to pick it up immediately after the attempt notice was left. Ive filed a complaint with the postmaster and hope that this issue is addressed as I am clearly not the only one experiencing this issue judging from the other reviews.

Would give zero stars if possible. No one does their job properly here. No one cares and it shows. The carriers are CONSTANTLY mis-delivering mail or tampering with it. Ive received makeup that was opened and someone stuck their fingers in it (VERY UNSANITARY!) Theyve delivered my mail to someone else and when I went up to the post office after waiting two days to ask about it the supervisor was SO beyond rude. These are not difficult jobs. Theres no reason I should have this much (OR ANY) tampering with my mail.

Why all the bad reviews, just because its always busy? They are hard working people and always there for us its usually the customer holding up the line not the employees. Everytime I drop something off with a prepaid label I recieve an email that it ships hours later that is awesome and I never have to worry.

Knowing the function of the post office and the guild lines they have to follow, I understand what to expect. This branch functions as it was intended to. The clerks allow you to make the choices offered by their mailing system. They may ask you how youd like to proceed or in many cases they offer suggestions that have more often than not saved me money. Mailing items seems to be an on going learning curve and can be frustrating naturally. Bottom line is that most people visit with the expectations that they should be provided pens, markers, supplies and exceptions to rules. There are reasons why this is not practical obviously! Learn to use the USPS and your day will improve dramatically. There are some very nice clerks working at this branch.Thanks for your service!

This is the rudest post office I have ever been to. On multiple occasions they have been so incredibly rude to me that Ive just walked out. I will never go back to this post office again theyre so unhelpful when you ask a question and nasty to you if you need something weighed out to find out the postage you need. Something really needs to be done about the customer service at the Edwardsville location.

This branch alongside St. Louis office LOST some important mail with all my personal information, AFTER i had called them to report that it would be sent to a different address. When I called up there granted I wasnt in the best mood (for good reason), to ask where it was since it shouldve been here weeks ago the extremely rude woman on the phone told me they had no clue and couldnt even tell me if it had been delivered anywhere. I replied that its messed up (not exact words) that they would be so careless with someones personal information.. Did they try to help? Absolutely not, without hesitation the woman said goodbye and hung up. Im not sure if theres anything i can do legally, but this really pushed me over the top.

Not very pleasant customer service.I was in need of a package that I knew was at their office because I was tracking it. Went in as soon as they opened and were still sorting the mail.I asked, could just give me the package, for my *name* on *address* it will be the size of a cell phone. She just looked at me and said No Im not going to look through the boxes, so the answer is No.As a formal employee of the post office... that was just pure lazy.

They are days late picking up scheduled pick ups. I received an email that my packages were picked up. When I came home from out of town the packages were still sitting on my front porch. How do you scan something and send an email that it has been picked up but the packages are still there? Very frustrating!

Lets be honest, no one actually needs the Post Office anymore. I go there for stamps occasionally, but I can get those at several ATMs in town. The staff here are what you would expect from postal workers. They are unfriendly and slow, but they know what they are doing and they can be helpful, even if they arent pleasant.

Terrible experience recently and cannot find any other way to lodge a complaint than this. I received a sorry we missed you while you were out notice ON 3-11 when I got home from work. The date listed on the notice was 3-8... so that was wrong. And it said this was the final notice. I had not received ANY notice prior to this one, AT ALL. It then stated that they will hold onto the package until 3-11... but I received this one and ONLY NOTICE that they had missed me after 5:30 so they were already closed. There wasnt even a reason marked on the slip as to why they could not just leave the package. So of course, they are already sending the package back after I had absolutely no chance of going to get it. And it comes from Japan so I am just going to ask for a refund, it takes forever to ship and I dont want to deal with this again. Just absolutely ridiculous. I tried calling the number provided but was on hold both times for an hour and gave up. Terrible service. Will avoid using them at all costs.

Terrible customer service. Anyone that’s at the counter is always rude and acts like it’s the end of the world if you need to pick up a package and they have to leave their desk to go get it. When tracking says your package is at the post office, they’ll tell you it isn’t, tell you to wait until it’s delivered to your address, and refuse any further assistance. This is the worst post office I’ve ever been to and if I could leave zero stars, I would.

I went in to ship some large envelopes. When I ran my fairly new (but used) business credit card, the postal employee told me there was not enough on the card to do the entire transaction. I was sure this was not a prepaid card but she said it wouldnt go through. So I used my personal card for the remaining charge. Upon asking my general manager and confirming that this was not a pre-paid card but an actual credit card, I used it at another post office. It worked just fine. Not sure the employees are trained sufficiently and I agree with other reviewers that their customer service needs to be improved on. I live in Edwardsville, and my personal mail carrier is a delight, but the office staff needs some improvement.

Has anyone every seen the episode of Gilmore girls where the carrier never delivers the mail (bills, paycheck, etc) to the correct house so everyone just walks around the whole episode looking for the rightful owner of the mail?That’s been my life the past 3 years.

Seems every time I go in there, its like going to the DMV, crappy attitudes and heaven forbid if you need help with a lost package...USPS strikes again, mis-sorted never delivered. Packages now back at office after hours, what is going on here. Come on your job of reading is a 3rd grade level, why is it you can read when sorting my mail.I am going to start seeing if places I order from will ship fedex or ups.
