I have never had such amazing service anywhere! These guys go above and beyond to help their customers! Ill never take my car anywhere else! The Firestone across the street told me they didnt have the staff to help me and to tow my car elsewhere which just left me feeling hopeless. These guys were happy to help me and were so nice. Tha k you Tuffy men!!!

Used this location three times now. Wheel alignments are fair priced and seem to be well done. Had wheel bearings done twice before had one go bad. They worked with me on the price of replacement....but its not a part that should go bad that fast. Had the other side done the next year...and they had to replace the same one again. Customer service guy lies. He said my alignment would be done in ten minutes or so...while Im looking at my van in the parking lot already finished. Better places to go than this.

They fixed a few small things that I didnt mention but it was nice that they spent the extra 5 minutes to do it (missing lug nut, blinker needed new bulb). I had a small job but it was quick and they were up front with the entire process. First time here and it seems like they are a good company. Not to mention that they are $30 cheaper per hour of labor compared to a few other area shops I called.

The service was okay but could have been great. Except he did not have mask on. I dont think they require it from their staff or the customers. No signs at all. I was the only customer in there at 8 (with my mask on) but i felt uncomfortable only because Im a essential health worker. I need more work done on my car but...Im not sure if Ill go back. Im not sure if they got into my car without mask or gloves. But to be safe I clean my car after. So if you care or dont care i guess this experience may help you to decide to hold off getting work done right now or just do it. I really need the work done.

Tuffy got us in on a Saturday morning when we were moving our daughter and had brake problems. They were very professional and not only found the problem - a bad brake hose - but fixed it for us that morning. We were so relieved to get it fixed on such short notice. CAR WAS ROBBED!! While my car was there awaiting service, I was contacted by the Meridian Police Dept. that several items from my car were found discarded near Tuffys. Owner was unhelpful and dismissive. I would avoid this place at all costs

I went back to this location of Tuffy today to have my muffler exhaust system checked out again after repairs they did in January 2021. The manager named Mark was very rude and told me they didnt have time to look at today or even look up my warrenty on computer. Went to another Tuffy location on Pennsylvania and they were very nice and took me right in. Manager Mike W explained to me that Tuffy on Grand River didnt do a very good repair for the price I paid at the time. He showed me the parts that werent replaced that should have been the 1st time. Luckily my warranty is still valid. I will never go back to Tuffy on Grand River again. Their customer service is awful

Greg and his team performed a pre-inspection service for us yesterday on a potential used truck we were thinking about purchasing. They found multiple things wrong with it we would have never known about without their help. Needless to say, we did not purchase the vehicle, and figure the guys at this Tuffy saved us thousands of dollars in future repairs and headaches!Having dealt directly with Greg on a couple of issues with our other vehicles in the past, I can tell you he treated us like we were one of his family every time. Very professional and easy to work with! If you are looking for an HONEST, no game playing place to have your vehicle serviced, Greg and his team at Tuffy is the place to go!

Went in for brake and wheel noise and had a fantastic experience! Talked to Greg and he was super polite and knowledgeable. Turnaround time was very fast, same day! The brake and bearing noises I took my car in for are totally gone and I have no dash lights on. Highly recommend these guys for anyone in the area who needs service on their car!

Jeff got me into the shop very quickly and hoisted my ride up on the lift within minutes. I brought a performance exhaust in for my BMW, Jeff and the guys were quick to business and got my new exhaust done in less than 1 hour. Wow does it sound great! I had them look at my car for a suspicious noise and was very pleasantly surprised to be told that it was a minor issue and didnt need a costly repair. When I asked how much, Greg told me he wasnt going to charge me anything, even after I insisted on paying something, he refused to take my money. From the moment I walked into the building and was greeted by the owner, I knew this business was customer oriented and special. I told Jim I needed my car as soon as possible because I have serious medical problems and needed transportation to and from the hospital. They stayed two hours past the time they were supposed to close in order to get my car fixed right away. What other business would do that for you? They did a fabulous job diagnosing and fixing my car at a very fair price. I am so grateful that they were there to help. I will take my car there again and will recommend them to everyone. I have used their services since 2005. When I compare their prices and quality to the larger OEM shops, they have always come out better and more reasonable. They helped me keep a 2000 Impala going to 384,000 miles and a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx going to 404,000. They are also good at providing options and ranking repairs to accommodate our budget.

I took my GMC Sierra 2500 to tuffy for diagnosis because I could not figure it out. They told me that they did not have a clue so they didnt charge me the diagnosis fee which I was happy with. I then took my ford mustand to them after i did sparkplugs and wires because it had a miss fire. They charged me 90 dollars and told me it was the ignition coil. So I replaced the ignition coil and it did not fix the issue at all so I paid them $90 for nothing. If you have a check engine light on and dont know what is wrong dont take it here. Only take it here for simple brake job done or simply exhaust work done dont take your car to this Tuffy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! June 29th update. I will post a update if management actually reaches out to me let they say.

Rare & very glad to see a business that follows good business ethics. Told me to not to do few things I was thinking of, as they are not required / were done recently. Reasonable prices and good human beings. Wouldnt go anywhere else for the services they provide. If you try/experience you would feel the same.

Communication was great. Jeff was awesome. After looking over the vehicle for potential brake issues, were told they were in good condition (they should have been) but found the apparent source of our issue and it was a low cost repair which could have escalated down the road. Honest and thorough was our first experience. Would recommend.

Several months ago I switched my car mechanic service to Tuffy. I did so because it is nearby as I assumed all car shops to be about the same. About an hour ago I took my car in for a diagnose. Jeff the manager took my complaint. No wait, no hassle. I got an immediate, accurate assessment of the problem. He gives all customers such immediate and accurate attention. Then as I thought back I realized how unusual that is. Over the couple of years I have visited this Okemos Tuffy shop I get the same high quality of service, expert mechanics and reasonable prices! In all my years of car service I have never seen this such consistency before. As I was about to leave the shop today I asked if I could write a review (he did not ask me). As long as Jeff is at Tuffy they have my business! Anyone who visits I will guarantee youll do the same

Has to be some of the best service I have ever received as it relates to my jeep. The employees were kind, as well as understanding of my needs. They were also able to correct the problems with my brakes, which were caused by another garage, and did so in less than a day. The owner, as well as the employees, know how important transportation is nowadays for students such as myself. I will surely suggest that all of my friends go to this shop and would recommend that any college students in the area do the same if they want efficient and effective service from a great group of employees.

I love Tuffys. The get everything on my car together. From Wheels to Engine to Electrical Problems. Jeff always get me together. I drive almost every weekend to Detroit and back and never experience a problem when Im on the road because he keeps me safe. He explains everything thats wrong with my car in perfect detail. We had a slight problem just before we left on our trip to Florida, something that was fixed with a couple of screws. Jeff was so kind to get us right in to fix it and was extremely reasonable on the price. He was very kind and explained everything well. I will be coming back in the future and highly recommend them.

I have been going here since 1985. Completely trust them. They call during repair to update on problems they may find. If it is a simple oil change or none of your windows work they take care of you in a very respectful manner. And they have the best looking floors in the area!

I came here the other day to get some work done after being recommended by another shop when getting an oil change. The guy who helped me was extremely nice and offered to test my car for the “problem” to make sure that what I was told was correct and the other shop wasn’t just messing with me. It turns out my car was absolutely fine and the guy who helped me out saved me a lot of trouble. I will definitely be coming back here in the future for all my oil changes/car needs!!

The technicians were professional and answered any questions I had with much knowledge. As a woman seeking car repairs I think some places see it as an opportunity to make an extra buck. Not here! I brought my car in to Tuffy to have an engine light, or code looked into for my car. It had been stored 7 months, and when I drove it for the first time, a light came on. When I took it into Tuffy, the technicians were very helpful. They did a road test, checked out the engine light, and told me that the light was probably a light on due to the car being parked for a very long time. They made it so the problem seemed something minor, and Ive been driving this car successfully with no issues for 2 months! They were very helpful, and did a vehicle inspection for me, and I brought my car to them again when it needed an oil change. I couldnt be happier with the level of customer service that I received there! I will be a repeat customer time and time again.

I brought my car in to be checked out because something was draining my battery. They werent able to diagnose the issue, so I had to take it to the dealership. Since they couldnt figure out what it was they didnt charge me the inspection fee. Definitely my first call next my car needs something! Thanks for great service Tuffy!

Long story short, needed front rotors checked and paid to replace them. No difference. They supposedly did nothing to it and i had to take it in to a REAL mechanic. All they are is a parking lot that just moves your vehicle around and says its fixed the next day. the mechanic that saved my car was at Key Diesel and Transmission in Perry, highly recommend them because they actually fixed my car for 1/3rd less than Tuffy supposedly did. Wouldnt trust them to fix a car even if it was for free.

This is my trusted repair shop for more than 10 years now. They have worked on our families past 7 cars, trucks and Vans. We are still driving 5 of them today, thanks to their work.

Terrible experience, went to get front brake pads fixed and they failed within the first week. The lug nuts were put back on so tight I had to go to a mechanic to get them off and he had to put a 4ft bar on his socket to get them off. I got my front brakes redone at a different place and now they work great. I dont recommend going to Tuffys for anything.

0 Stars if possible! They installed my brakes incorrectly. They were supposed to put them on like this: Left/Left and Right/Right, they put them on Left/Right and Right/Left. My car almost rolled when I had to hit the brakes on the highway, I was able to take control of my vehicle thanks to my quick recognition that something was wrong. I took my vehicle into a locally owned shop and they informed me of their error. I called Tuffy and asked to speak with the manager and he denied that their installers put something on incorrectly, and was very rude. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. I will never go to a chain auto shop again, especially never a Tuffy ever again...

No Labor Warranty!?!? Bad practice! Normally I can do most typical repairs myself but this time, after reading up on the internet I decided to have my rear wheel bearing replaced by an expert. Not even two months after spending $362 it went bad. I have never had any non-wear part go bad, especially inside of six weeks. When I was told that the labor was not covered I became furious, not at them but at the corporation. So I called the corporate office and they said that the normal warranty policy is Parts and Labor but is up to the individual franchise to adjust as desired. So, whoever you are that made up this horrible warranty, shame on you; especially since you likely get to claim a labor adjustment with the bad part that you return. Stewart was nice to work with but your warranty stinks.

Do not come to this butcher shop.I repeat- DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT come here!Im writing this review to save you the trip because I didnt see any extremely negative reviews before I decided to take my vehicle here and made the mistake of dropping my car off.I literally was not even going to come to it and had something set up with another shop. I called this shop back again to see what they would charge me for a separate operation and then I was offered an incredible deal on my rack and pinion replacement.I took it in the next day and sure enough, the price went up 300 dollars for unexpected issues.The power steering was obviously much better afterwards, however all of the sudden my transmission starts to have issues. I had a strong inkling that they could have taken parts and/or replaced them with worse ones and this had adverse effects on my transmission.I wanted to come back again so I could observe them. I had an issue with my headlight and took it in for a quick inspection. Two of the mechanics were huddled around my vehicle and one random guy who didnt work there (probably his friend?) had a back pack. Thats extremely discomforting that a larger company with a reputation to protect would allow such behavior. What is even more discomforting is that the random guy with the back pack had it very near to my hood when it was open.I managed to snap some shots of it even though they are very blurry. Also I took down their license plates numbers in case they did in fact do what I suspected them of doing.Dont trust this location. If you want peace of mind go elsewhere. I will be taking this in to a trusted mechanic who most likely has much greater experience the next time I head back and he is going to inspect my engine to ensure that nothing has been tampered with. (If it has been and you are reading this, beware). Also, they didnt know what was wrong with the light which is another indication of the type of work these guys will do to your car.I am a nice guy when it comes to being a customer until my expectations of a brands services are horridly unmet. They were at this location.. from the shady vibes it felt more like a shop you would see in a very poor country.If you like shady vibes and slimy grease-ball service then this is the place for you.
