We had lava rock from the 1970’s on the outside of our chimney that started to fall off this summer in big chunks. Lakeview to the rescue and for the WIN. I love how this looks. Lakeview responded quickly, explained the project and worked with me to make sure it was done.

My fireplace was a very challenging situation.We found the right wood burning insert to fit the style and size of my 1920 stone fireplace. They modified the surround and worked to inset it all, matching the beauty and feeling of the original stone arch fireplace.I can’t thank them all enough!

We bought a 1958 home with both a gas and wood burning fireplace. Lakeview was able to get us an appointment fairly quickly, as we wanted to have our fireplaces available for use ASAP when the temps drop. We needed an inspection of both fireplaces (neither of which ended up needing cleaning or repairs), a chimney cap, and a crown coat. Jaylon was excellent! He called to let us know of his exact arrival time, and was very knowledgeable, professional, and customer-service oriented. As a first-time fireplace owner he gave me some tips on annual maintenance and what to look for in local firewood suppliers. We really appreciated his honesty, attention to detail, and his care for our home/floors (protecting the area around the fireplace while he worked). We would definitely use them again and have already referred a friend!

We hired Lakeview Masonry Inc for a chimney rebuild project in Carlton MN. I actually contacted Lakeview Masonry to get a second quote since the first contractor price was high enough that I wanted to get a second opinion. The salesman from Lakeview, Jerry Wantaja, visited the chimney and came up with a far superior plan for the project which including removing the half of the chimney with damaged brick. I much prferred the solution proposed by Jerry and the price was lower than what the other contractor had proposed to do for the chimney.Jerry found brick that matched the existing remaining brick well and the finished project looks great and only took around 1.5 weeks once work began. We also had Lakeview Masonry install a much more efficient wood burning fireplace insert inside the main building room. It looks beautiful and really cranks out the heat! Bring on winter - (no, I dont really mean bring on winter :-))

This is the second time we have used Lakeview and we have been very happy both times. They fixed our flue last winter. We also just had them do a complete chimney cap replacement and tuck point all the cracks in the chimney. It looks great!

I have had a problem with basement leaking for 40 years I called and he promptly came over and saw some of my efforts to stop leaking and he recommended that if I wanted to hire him he would use this certain product but told me how to use the product and try it myself if I was willing. He was spot on the product stopped all leakage and 40 years later the basement is dry. If you need masonry work and want a honest and caring company, none better.

I recently had Lakeview Masonry in to modify a 1950s peninsula fireplace to accommodate a direct vent gas unit. They installed the unit for me and then refaced the entire fireplace. I am very pleased with the result which updates my home. While their skill was appreciated, the best part was their respect for my house. They covered my hardwood floors with plastic, insulation, and plywood and then tented the whole area to keep dust down. I had several crews come in and all were pleasant and hardworking. For our personal residence rural Douglas County we had Lakeview Masonry rebuild an old fireplace. Duluth Stove and Fireplace installed a state of the art wood burning fireplace and Lakeview did the stone work. We could not be more pleased. When we ran into some problems with the size of the new wood stove, Lakeview worked with us to rebuild the fireplace which required that we add a new mantel and hearth. They solved the problem perfectly. In fact, it turned out better than we had expected from the start.I was a bit concerned about the dust--but that is all forgotten now.Dan H.

Had moisture inside the chimney resulting in falling bricks. They matched them well and fixed the moisture problem by placing aluminum lining inside the chimney. Very professional and cleaned up nicely.
