My daughter (10y/o) and I had hair color appointments at the same time. The stylists were ready for us on time and both stylists introduced themselves and were friendly and professional. My daughters stylist checked with me for approval before asking her what shed like done. My stylist didnt freak out when I told her to do whatever shed like as long as I kept some length on my hair. Both stylists talked to us, listened to our wishes, and were incredibly friendly. My daughter was done before me, so the other stylists kept her occupied and braided her hair for her gymnastics competition exactly how she wanted it done. My hair turned out beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments on it the last two days! Also, we were the last clients of the day and the stylists who did not have clients kept busy tidying up or stocking products. Nice to see them working even when they dont have clients! If we lived closer to the area I would definitely make this our go-to salon!

Took my boyfriend and myself to get manicures, we had Jesi and Lexi who did our nails! They were both so nice, kept up great conversation and engaged really well with my shy boyfriend. The service itself was awesome; his nails looked so nice afterwards as did mine! They did a sugar scrub and a massage over the wrists and hands at the end and it was all very relaxing.

Great haircut. I told Cass to give me whatever haircut she thought would look good. Looks wonderful!!!!!! I am going back.

I have been going to Contempo since shortly after I moved to Dubuque 26 years ago. Every time I go there I have a great experience the staff is always very professional, friendly and helpful.

The girl Cass who did my nails was very nice and easy to talk to. And she also told me alot how the shalloc nail polish works it was my 1st time using it. And I even got my wrist and hands massaged with amazing lotion.

Jaid was wonderful!! She was so fun to talk with while I was getting my hair done and the end result is better than I could’ve imagined, highly recommend!

I love this Salon. Im not a typical go to a salon every 6 weeks or so person, I typically go 2-3 times a year and when I do I always have exceptional costumer service. I like to see Angela and she is always happy and able to provide what I ask for. Ive never been disappointed in my experience. Ive been going to them for about 6 years.

I just got my hair cut and colored (balayage) from Jessica for the first time and let me tell you, she is beyond amazing. Not only does she have skill, she’s knowledgeable when it came to what she was doing and what I could be doing at home to optimize my hair health and color. By far my favorite balayage I’ve ever had done. I’m so incredibly happy with my hair!

Hillary is the cats meow! Id be considered a tough customer yet Hillary always surpasses my expectations! She is just as meticulous as I am. My hair is always done perfectly. Contempo treats me just like family. Highly recommend Hillary, Lauren or Angie!!!

I purchase my Aveda products here - the staff are always friendly. The salon always stocked with the products I need. Ive never had to wait for something to be ordered.

I have been seeing Jerica at Contempo for awhile now. No matter how many times Ive been there, they still make sure to give me an experience at each visit. Great atmosphere with great stylist!

Always receive a great cut from Lisa or Linda at Contempo. Theyre able to take good care of that forest of hair I seem to grow now in my ears and nostrils, too. Theyve made helpful suggestions, not only with the way I will typically comb my hair but with some quality products that are very effective, as well. Ive never left the salon unhappy and therefore will keep coming back!

I have been going to Linda at Contempo for years. She always makes me feel good (both inside and out) and makes me laugh. All of the girls who work here are like a family. They gave my grandkids their first haircuts and are so good to them. Open houses are the best!! I cant rate them high enough!

I used Contempo Salon Spa for my wedding last September. The staff at Contempo is welcoming, helpful, fun and very talented! Everyone is kind and gracious and very good at what they do. I thought maybe they would be too conservative for my tastes. I like color and a little funkier cut. Angela does an amazing job on color and cut and even my requests for blasts of little color here and there. I always get compliments on my hair wherever I go from all ages. When Im on stage rocking with my band, Im rocking a great style with great products on my hair. I love Aveda and my hair loves it too! Thanks Contempo for being so amazing!Joie

I live in Madison, WI but was getting married outside of Dubuque. I didnt know anything about Contempo Salon except for the reviews I read. I had the best mani pedi of my life there. They do all these extra things to make your experience that much enjoyable. Awesome staff too! My manicure actually made it through my honeymoon and my manis never last that long. I would highly recommend Contempo!
