Read the reviews and thought that after going to 5 other places that were booked out weeks to months that this was the place that I’d be able to get the simple 45 second fix on my little push mower. It would have taken him all of 45 seconds to do it and could have made an easy 30 40 50 bucks. Instead he was rude and told me that i should just buy another and tried to sell me a used one for 200 I wouldn’t go to this guy if I was paid to. I went home and fixed the problem in less then 5 minutes with no experience he who has would have taken a fraction of that. A screw was loose that’s all.

Sorry, but I cant recommend Mr. Fessler. Heres why: I have a Toro LX425 lawn mower. I had tried to adjust the engines valves and messed them up. The repair shop at Douglasville Ace Hardware is a Toro authorized facility, but they needed 10 days to fix it. I saw Fesslers online and called Eugene. He said he worked on all brands and that he could get right on it. I took it to him on a Tuesday. When I called later in the week, he had gone out of town and it would be the next week before he could get to it. So I picked up the mower. Eugene assured me he was a professional repairer who took pride in his work and didnt do rush jobs. I decided to give him a second chance. When he finally looked at the mower, he told me the battery was bad and that, based on his research, the mower had a broken automatic compression release mechanism. it would be $350 to tear open the engine and replace the ACR. So I paid him $30 for the diagnostic and took the mower to Ace Hardware. I took another week for Ace to fix it. Eugene was right about the battery. Ace replaced it for $50. The valve adjustment and a new sparkplug cost another $70. Its running fine. If Mr. Fessler was as honest as he says he is, he would have told me that he didnt know much about Toro mowers. I found the same information about the ACR on the Internet, but that wasnt the problem. Im grateful that Eugene didnt do any more damage to the mower than I did. By the way, Eugene is unfailingly polite. He could work on his communication skills, but he does respond in a timely manner to calls and texts. Still, he misrepresented his abilities. Ill consider the $30 the cost of a hard lesson.

The most honest guy I have meet. He always willing to help the customer. While my zero turn was getting fixed, he offered me his mower to use for the time being.Hes a friend of the family now. My kids and wife loves this guy. Im at his shop most everyday now. No one else will work on my equipment.I have seen him fixed equipment in five minutes and not charge the customer unless there was shop supplies used.The community needs more business like Fesslers Small Engine Repair.

I HAD THIS GUY REPAIR MY LAWNMOWER BECAUSE IT KEPT CUTTING OFF. HE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME MY SPARK PLUG WIRE WAS CUT WHICH I DID NOT NOTICE BEFORE AND I CHECKED ALL OF THAT. I THINK HE CUT IT, SO HE TOLD ME HELL TAPE IT UP. THEN HE CHARGED ME 50 DOLLARS JUST TO RECYCLE ALL MY OLD STUFF ON THE LAWNMOWER. MY LAWNMOWER RAN FOR ONE DAY AND NEVER WORKED AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY.
