I wouldnt recommend this shop if you have a schedule to keep!! Made an appointment suggested by employee to keep wait time short since having to wait at shop until finished. Was told it would take 45min to 1 hour for Oil change and tire rotation. Didnt even get to car until 1 hour after suggested appointment time which was 8:00, 30 min after opening at 7:30. Had coupon for oil change and tire rotation. That price changed because of specifications to coupon, which was not on coupon. Coupon was main reason for coming here to begin with since being new to area wasnt for sure where to go. Two hours later Im back on road and trying to make up for lost time in busy schedule. Employees were friendly and only reason for 2 stars. Will not return for future services!!!!

These guys saved our vacation! Our car broke down and they were the only place open. They got us right in, had it fixed within an hour and out. Very fair and affordable prices. We cant thank them enough for the help! I would say well be back, but I hope we wont have to next time. Highly recommend these knowledgeable guys.Thank you again!

I liked this place. I brought my van in to get my air conditioner checked, and they were fast. They told me what was wrong with it and also did a courtesy check throughout my entire vehicle and advised me some other things that my van needed to get fixed. They kept communication with me on an issue I had with my card and They fixed it quickly and did not give me the run around like other businesses tend to do....I liked Robert, he is funny. I also liked Bill he was a very honest and kind person. Overall, I will definitely rate them a 5 Star and use them for my vehicles. Thank you for your service Tuffy of Dothan, Alabama! 😊

The smaller owned & operated establishments never disappoint!! The guys at Tuffy are SUPER quick & SO kind!! My oil change and tire rotation only took about 20 minutes. They even applied a coupon to my invoice without my knowledge, making the service even cheaper than I expected! I’d recommend them to anyone! I look forward to taking my vehicles back to them for future needed services!

Very military friendly and do good work

For apparent vehicle mechanics, they dont know very much about vehicles. Dropped off my F250 to get my tires rotated and balanced and they called me to tell me my truck weighs 10k lbs based on the sticker on my door jam and that my truck was too heavy for the lift. I didnt waste my time teaching them vehicle basic info. Nice to know I have a 5 ton! Never would let them do basic maintenance on my vehicle.

Greg front desk was very helpful and he didnt let us leave to make sure our vehicle was fix Manger was also helpful. I went around the holidays didnt have much money but he work with me and got it done. I recommend Dothan area to check them out... Has to wait awhile but it was worth it.

We broke down on our way home from the beach and these guys were very nice. We were hooked to a camper and had to park it across the street while they fixed our truck. We had to stay overnight so they could get the parts and get it fixed but they were super friendly about it. Even offered to take us somewhere or go get us anything we needed. I walked in and spoke and the guy at the register friday morning was rude and wouldnt speak back til he found out I had business trucks coming in as well.

I have 4 vehicles and have been to this location several times. If the manager is working, I feel like I am treated fairly. The assistant manager is another story. I took my car there yesterday and he said they did not have time to look at it to bring it back this morning. I had another shop look at it before and was quoted $400 for a job, Tuffy quoted $480 for the same job and was unwilling to negotiate. I am taking my business to somewhere else that will not rip me off just because I am a woman!

I called about my AC not blowing cold was told to bring it in and they would look at it for free. Came in they pulled my car in without telling me any information or me giving my approval to work on it next thing I know they where telling me i needed new brakes, tires, an air filter, and an Oil Change (Tuffys just changed my oil last month). Then charged me $100 to not fix the problem but to tell me what was wrong. I paid the money and took my car to Midas not only did they fix my car but gave me a good deal because I told them tuffys just STOLE $100 from me. They will never get my business ever again. Im a Midas girl now.

The Black guy was nice but I got charged almost 400.00 for two tires plus 3 taxes and was told everything else was fine but now car still shaking and hard to pull

I cant say enough good things about the guys at this shop. It is never easy spending the kind of money you have to spend on 4 new tires, brakes, and everything else I needed. However, their personalities made it a little bit less painfu. There were a few things on my car that I needed to take care of, but I didnt mention it because its not something they advertise doing. When I got home I realized they took care of those things I wanted to take care of without me even asking. Thank you guys so much for the amazing customer service!

I have all of my vehicles serviced here. I have a 2008 Chevrolet that I use to do home health visits. Tom, Seth, David and all the guys have kept me on the road and safe for the last 6 years. That Chevrolet is over 300,000 miles now!!! This place is great. They guys are friendly, honest and know that my vehicle is my livelihood. Tom always makes sure to talk with me about what the car needs at the time and what I can keep an eye on and address my next time at the shop. I dont know what I would do if I didnt have tuffy to trust my car and pocketbook with!!

When you pull up employees are supposed to acknowledge your presence and ask what service you need. That didnt happen though, even though mechanics were outside my husband had to go inside to tell someone we needed service

Ive been taking my car to Tuffy since I moved to Dothan three years ago. I will not take my car anywhere else unless Im out of town. The manager, Tom has definitely made sure everything stays in working order and when Ive broken down in town hes even offered to have one of the guys come save me if I cant get a ride. The service from everyone else is always friendly and fantastic too and they dont try to sell you stuff you dont need or fix things that arent broken.Always very happy.

Rude as hell wish I could find out who is the mgr/district mgr is file complaint against this location they refuse to do an oil change when I got there in there in plenty of time before they close to do it n they they didn’t had any vehicles or n the service bay at all not to mention I call ahead n got hung up n call back twice to find out pricing n was told they could do it N had availability but when I got there they didn’t had time n I was there within 5 mins after I called this location was rude n bit as nice as the location in Destin Florida

Ive been a Tuffy customer off and on for nearly six years. Ive had everything from oil changes to major parts work done, and never left dissatisfied. Tom is one of those guys you just love to say hey to. I dont think hes there anymore, but Seth was awesome to work with as well. Tuffy is an auto SERVICE center, not an auto REPAIR center. I think theres a distinct difference there that some people are forgetting. Sure, they can probably fix anything, but lets be honest, some things are best left to a collision center or a dealership. Theyll be straight up with you about that too, its always worth a call.

The guys here at Tuffy are great! They got me in and out quickly and with the best price in town. I will definitely be giving Kam and Mook more business in the future. I had a small issue and they went above and beyond to make it right!

These guys at this shop are the best, I was 400 miles away from home when my car broke down. I didn’t know anybody in this town, so I took a chance and had my car towed to this shop and these guys fixed my car so I was able to make it home without having to stay until the Nissan dealership opened on Monday. Excellent service & good people. I highly recommend this place, because they certainly went above and beyond taking care of my needs.

The manager Cam was very nice and cordial. But the owner needs to hire technicians that want to work instead of standing around. Otherwise plan on spending a lot of time there to get your work done.

I love the guys working at this Tuffy in Dothan. They are so knowledgeable and helpful, it amazes me. Im not sure what was going on with management in the past that made this place get some negative reviews, but whatever it was they have fixed it. I went about 6 weeks ago and again yesterday and service is truly exceptional. Thomas is good at explaining things in a non-mechanical way so that a person like me could understand. He also tries to get you the best price for parts, calling around to different shops. David is also kind and just really good at what he does. I am taking all of my cars here from now on.

Tuffy of Dothan is the ONLY PLACE THAT TOUCHES MY VEHICLE. They are courteous and honest. I can honestly say without a doubt....THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

I haven’t used Tuffys in a couple of years. And today I decided to stop and get a price. These people are ripping people off. 300 dollars to put a 30 dollar muffler. The guy tried to tell me they don’t do exhaust work but on website it says different. The reason I stopped using them was cause of them trying to rip people off. Never will I use them or get any other price from them. And will not recommend them

DO NOT GO HERE! The manager Tom attempted to buy my car for $300 because he said it needed a new engine for several different issues. Needless to say I trusted my gut and got a second opinion. The only issue was a burnt valve!!! My car runs great now!! I have to give credit to their corporate office for paying for the repair. It is just sad that corporate was so good to me, but unfortunate that franchises/employees can tarnish their reputation.

We broke down in Dothan and were recommended to Tuffeys. At the time we did not know that the incorrect catalytic converter was ordered. We had a 4 wheel drive ford 150 and the part ordered was.for a 2 wheel drive. Tuffey forced the part anyway , causing an exhaust leak. Husband paid cash and tipped the manager 100 dollars thinking we were all fixed as we were told we were. 1 mile down the rode exhaust starts wheezing 2 hours into the drive same symptoms occurred that caused the original breakdown . Dead fuel pump (which was never caught in the first diagnosis) and loose exhaust due to incorect part ordered. They totally missed this one. Caused me to be out A lot of.cash 1500 as well as another lost day of travels . Thumbs down on this place . Not honest.

I asked what the prices would be up front... well time came for the bill and they added warrantys and shops supplies to multiple services and even added i turned down services I never spoke to them about. definitely a shop i wont go back to... i have had multiple cars done with them just for routine service . this was the first time i have actual mechanic work done... definitely not the place to get real work done.

AC went out on my 2015 Scion FRS.They did an evac/ recharge and found it had a leak.Ordered a high pressure ac hose .Turns out it wasnt the high pressure hose but a liquid ac line instead.I now have cold air again, yay! Would I go here again? Yeah, Ill probably let them install the shocks/struts, lowering springs,lower control arms,trailing arms,body bushings,chasis braces and Tein EDFC system that I havent found time to do.Chico knows his ac, Troy is friendly and helpful.

Recently moved to Enterprise and we still make the trip to Dothan to go see the staff at Tuffys when our vehicles need servicing. They are always so friendly and offer fair, reliable service time and time again. Highly recommended for your all your oil change and auto service needs!

The worst place Ive ever encountered and witnessed the worst car fraud (not my car btw) awful, will NEVER EVER go there. Horrific. They shouldnt have those peanut statues because it gives the city a bad name. Stay away you have been warned. Thiefs. And fraud. Dont go by their guarantee by even half a mile..no pun intended. Car worse than when it got there. 3 times. I still feel bad for my friend its crooked...so bad

Incompetent technician. I have a camera in my truck and when I looked a video watched them race and beat on my vehicle. DO NOT LET THEM DRIVE YOUR TRUCK. Lucky I still have a transmission that works.

My wife and I were traveling on our way to vacation in Panama with our two young daughters and our car broke down at the state line. We were afraid we were going to be stuck for the day, because it was Sunday, and then have to spend Monday getting the car repaired, but we were given Tuffy’s number from the Towing service and were so relieved to find out they were open on a Sunday! Mook was so helpful on the phone and even located the part for what we thought the problem was to make sure it would be available if needed! Chris, our technician, was incredible to work with and got our car fixed and us on the road again so quickly. Thank you, Tuffy, for being open on a Sunday and for your incredible service. I highly recommend coming here! Went and bought a alternator from advanced auto parts today! Tuffys installed it.... A Little after went down the road only to realize they sold us a bad alternator at advanced auto parts and came to tuffys for them to install the second one. Also tuffys stayed after closing hours to fix us up! Very appreciative.

My girlfriend and I were on our way back to Ohio from our vacation in Florida when our car broke down in Dothan. Being 12 hours away from home in an unfamiliar city with car trouble is not a good feeling. “Luckily” we broke down across the road from THIS Tuffy service shop. The manager, Tom, was very compassionate to our situation and his great sense of humor definitely made things seem better. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem and Tom was able to find the needed parts locally. He told us how much the repairs would cost up front, they got the parts delivered and the technician worked deligently until the repairs were completed. The charges were very reasonable, especially considering we didn’t have much of a choice and were at their mercy. Several other customers came in while we were there and I was very impressed with Tom’s customer service. It’s hard to find places like this anymore and Dothan residents should feel fortunate to have such a great service shop. We couldn’t have broke down in a better place!
