Oh my goodness! Where do I start! Please dont be smitten with the southern hospitality charm! My car was here for two months I called almost everyday to check the statues of the car and was constantly told it will be ready the next no later than the day after!This went on for two months. The initial diagnostic did not correctly identity the problem there it was like a scavenger hunt to solve the problem. Of course at my expense. I had to pay for rentals for 2 months and the additional charges for the car that went a part of the original problem. And on top of all that the engine light is still on. I want to take it back but will this be another long journey down and expensive rabbit hole! Please get a second opinion!

Brought vehicle in couple of weeks ago to check out transmission was helped by service advisor by the name of Richard. Kept car for at least 10 days never heard from anyone about my car kept calling back for a week Richard avoided calls until he said the transmission needed serving. repairs were supposed to have been done car is leaking fluid now and still not fixed when I brought it in it wasn’t leaking I can’t afford to leave it with them anymore. When I got my car back the tech had my leather seats greasy. I can’t afford to leave my car with them anymore and I sure as hell won’t be back remember your first impressions to customers is always your lasting customers beware !!!

I had a great experience here. Rich was professional, upfront and honest with the process and cost for my 98 trooper trans rebuild. I really appreciate the no nonsense approach so I knew exactly what I was getting into. The transmission tech took his time on my rebuild and did it right. These guys are the real deal !

This is a great place not putting it down on any way. Rich was who assisted my husband and I he is knowledgeable and helpful. Loved the service provided but sadly my issue is not resolved. After leaving my car for there for a week. I have spoken to them already and taking my car back today. My car is a mystery trust if they do finally fix it 5 star review on the way. Have faith they can fix it just so frustrating after all the money I have spent.

They did an awesome job diagnosing and repairing our vehicle. We had a voltage issue and transmission had to be rebuilt. They had it longer than expected because they are that good and have a lot of customers. I would highly recommend 👌🏾

I decided to use Allstate‘s services from the flyer that I received from them in the mail. I spoke with Rich on the phone and met with him in person. I enjoyed speaking with Rich, he was very pleasant, professional, and explained things to me intuitively. I am very satisfied with the services, and my only regret is not using them before. If I had known the transmission rebuild was going to cost $4200. I never would have had my vehicle towed here. They may do good work. I wouldnt know though.

It took me a while to give a review to Allstate Transmissions in Desoto. I wanted to make sure they stood behind their warranty on the service they provided. I have nothing but great reviews to give them for the excellent service I’ve received from them. From the moment I called to ask questions about the issues with my Lincoln Mark LT truck, Rich took ownership and explained to me very clearly the process of fixing my truck. I took my truck to get serviced back on January 2020 for several issues, I’ve had to take it back several times since then for same issues but they’ve covered it under the 3 Year Nationwide Warranty they gave me. They’ve also fixed my window, worked on my A/C and done synthetic oil changes on my truck. The whole staff has been great and always treated me with respect. They give you a rental car if the job is going to take longer than expected. They will also pick you up/drop you off if you need it. Bill is the owner and he will stand behind any job they do on your car. Bill I want to say thanks to you and your staff for the great service you’ve done on my truck. I know that if I ever take another vehicle to them, Bill and team will do a great job. I am extremely disappointed with my experience this time at Allstate Auto Repair. I had my truck towed to the establishment Tuesday morning I never received an update or a call in regards to my truck. I called multiple times and I was put on hold for 30 minutes with no answer. After 3 days I went to the establishment to get an update to find out my truck hadnt been looked at. When I was told by Rich someone was checking it out while we were talking. Why lie, just tell me the truth so I had my truck towed to another repair shop. I will never use Allstate again!

They save us over $2,000.00! They could’ve easily told us it was the transmission as we were already told by the last shop. Who put a rebuilt transmission in 16 months ago.. But, they were honest! And told us there wasn’t an issue with the transmission... They have a customer for life. Honest means a lot to me in a world were shops seem to always try to do more than needed.Keep up the good work. We will be sending more customers your way...Thank you again!

I have always had positive experiences with these guys with service to my vehicles. Rich has always been upfront and fair with me. Ive been satisfied with their work and I can say Ive never had to go back for service for the same issue

I brought my car in for a ten mission service. When I left the shop in less than a mile the trains sun fault light came on my Jaguar infostation. I called the shop and they sent a tow truck. It was the Friday before the 4th of July and the shop Forman told me it would be that next Tuesday before he could look at it. So no call on Tuesday no call on wendays no call on Thursday. So I call that Thursday talk to the shop Forman he said oh we are busy the tech said he needs to check the underside of the car. I’ll call you this afternoon to let you know what’s going on you have a short circuit somewhere. Well I never go that call back so I came and got my Jaguar and had it towed to the house. Now ten minutes later I started diagnosing the car found a fuse blown in the under hood fuse box replace the fuse to find out the fuse box circuit card was not sending power to the transmission control module. Went on a a automotive website called identifix finding out that fuse box fails and techs on the site have replaced many of them. Now the transmission fault was not caused by the shop but they only connected the scan tool and pulled a code and charged me 153$ for having my vehicle for a week. They don’t know I have a degree in automotive technology and I’m a master technician and I know how things work I have worked in many shops. If you have a high-end vehicle with an electrical problem they can’t handle. Brakes oil changes fine don’t take it there beyond that.

TwIlight Zone of disorganization. I dropped the truck off a week ago, was quoted a price, I told Rich to do the work, I called yeste6 to verify it was done, he said yes... I get there today to pick it up and Rich has no idea or recollection of our conversations, and no work was even started.

Of course no repair shop is perfect, but as a member of the military, my main focus is quality. From the beginning, they let me know that they dont just throw parts at a repair. They assured me that they would find the problem and do what was needed to fix it. My 07 Dodge Ram had some electrical issues that no other shop seemed to have the capability to identify. What I originally thought to be a transmission issue was just some bad wiring done by an amateur repair shop. Ill definitely be back for future repairs (if needed).

My vehicle was pulling slow up hills and had a popping noise under the truck. I took it to them on a good recommendation. They had my vehicle for two months due to part back orders but they do great work...

I am new to the area and just recently found Allstate Transmissions & Auto Repair. After researching the reviews, I decided to use them for service on my vehicle. So far Ive had a full service oil change and a wheel alignment done on the same vehicle. Both times Ive brought my vehicle in the service was completed within the quoted time. The service was excellent and the staff is very friendly. I will be sure to bring all of my vehicles to them for service. I highly recommend them.

In doubt on whether or not youre being over charged or even being lied to by the dealer, bring it to Allstate Transmission. Richard and John saved me over $6,000.00 dollars when I caught Midpark Jeep of Dallas off of Lemon Avenue in a lie. Some shops you cant trust and then are those shops you can. But if youre in doubt, bring it to Allstate Transmission of Desoto where you will be treated right and wont be lied too.

Had a problem with my malibu blowing out lots of black smoke and they diagnosed it and found it to be the O2 sensor going bad, fixed it the next and was back on the road. Good prices as well.

This place is a rip off. Ive used them for about 10 years for repairs but never questioned the price quote. I got an alignment in July, took it back 7mo later because Id noticed my tires were wearing inside and my truck was pulling to the right. Since Id used them in the past I also asked them to check an electrical issue and rattle I had. They told me that things that were already new and replaced needed to be replaced, they wanted me to pay them an hour labor on things like literally changing a light bulb and break switch, that I a week later change all of them in 20min (including break switch) they never Realigned my truck so Ill now have to replace both new front tires and get another alignment from Goodyear ...but atleast they have a year warranty and lifetime warranty.

Outstanding customer service and quality work! After a friends recommendation, we decided to give Allstate Auto Repair a try when our Chevy Traverse started having issues. First of all, the location and waiting room are very clean and welcoming. Rich was especially accommodating and friendly throughout the whole process. He explained the diagnosis and gave us the quote which was much lower than we were expecting. They finished the job quickly and our car is now running like new! My car was experiencing issues with a problem I had just had repaired 2 weeks ago in San Antonio. My frustration level was high when I showed up at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. The kindness and patience I was greeted with was exactly what I needed. I was told they would try to get to it before the end of the day, but more than likely it wouldn’t be seen until Monday. I think they felt bad that they couldn’t get to me right away. I was offered a ride home if needed.I had a phone call before 9:30 Monday morning to explain the problem and discuss the cost. I explained that as a retired teacher on a fixed income and after paying $1200 2 weeks ago for similar repairs, I was going to have to think about fixing it or towing it somewhere to trade it in. I was ready to find a cliff and push the car off. The guys talked me off the ledge, fixed the problem and my car was ready to be picked up by 2:00 that afternoon. I appreciated their understanding of my situation and talking to me as a valued customer, not just a person with a car.I have a couple of other things that need attention and will most definitely return to Allstate to have those done. Allstate is the epitome of an old school, hometown shop with their customers best interest in mind. I thank them for that!

I recently bought a used Nissan since my old car was totaled. I have heard that Nissans can have transmission problems if not taken care of properly so i took it in to Allstate transmissions to get it inspected. They did a complimentary test drive to see if they found anything unusual and performed a transmission fluid service afterward, at an extremely fair price nonetheless. They were honest and explained the current condition of the transmission, what i could expect in the future, and gave me a plan for servicing.I did a lot of research on the car i bought, about common transmission issues and what long-time owners who have owned the same car i purchased did to keep their cars going. And not only did Bill, the store owner himself, take the time to talk to me, but he also accurately told me when these transmissions fail and what causes it for my Nissan,furthermore, his service recommendations were exactly to the same as what i read about from other car owners. I also wasnt coerced into any additional services or additional charges.Allstate transmissions does more than just transmission repair and I was honestly so satisfied and have such peace of mind about their honesty. As long as i live within driving distance, the first shop i am taking my car to is Allstate transmission and auto repair.

My husband and I had our truck taken in and we got it back and a very reasonable price. The truck is fixed and is working like new. I needed major work done to my car and decided to give Allstate Transmissions & Auto Repair a try. I spoke to Rich; which is a very warm kind man, and felt as if I could trust him. I don’t trust dealerships nor regular mechanics because theyre either trying to rip you off by purposely breaking parts on your car and/or charging you for work they didnt perform. Allstate Transmissions & Auto Repair was not the case. Rich provided me with an estimate and explained everything that was wrong with my car. Now, my car runs like its brand new again!!! Im extremely happy and very thankful to Rich and his mechanics and for deciding to take my car there!! They did an Awesome Job and Im definitely taking both of my cars back there for all of my auto servicing needs!!!

Took my Hummer in for service, front end and power steering. I was not surprised that in addition to the service, they had to replace Rack and Pinion, power steering pump and reservoir; align the front end and repair several other smaller issues; however, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the work and the professionalism exuded by staff. Meeting the office staff is typically a professional exchange, but meeting the service tech was a real plus. He reviewed all the completed work and it was obvious he knew what he was doing. Although not cheap, I felt the price was fair. I hope they are as pleased as I am to have established a long term relationship!

I was so nervous when my transmission broke down on my Kia Soul. I thought my Kia was doomed. I tried calling the Kia dealership but obviously they would charge more than what the car is worth just to fix it. I gave Allstate Transmissions a call and I was so happy to hear that they could fix it. bring it in!.Rich and Bill are very nice. They gave me the rundown on what to expect, how the transmission worked and what they could do. Bill even drove me home when I dropped my car off. They fixed my transmission in my Kia Soul 2011 Base model 1.6L (Manual transmission) And it has been working great ever since the repair! Went to these guys yesterday for the first time because I was having problems with my car not starting up after I put gas in it. They found the issue and quoted me with a reasonable price. Took my car there because I thought it was leaking transmission fluid and it was riding rough. I explained what was happening to Rich he advised me if what their diagnosing process was and shuttle and loaner car options were if I needed them. I left my car in his hands and around noon I got the news on what was wrong. He told me it would be a couple of days to get it completed. When I got my car back I was expecting it to run like before I noticed the issue. To my surprise it ran even better!!! I bought the car 3 years ago and I promise it hasnt ran better. I called him to let him know how impressed I was with their service and professionalism and that they have earned a new customer. I highly recommend them. I would write more to explain why but its not needed these guys are great you can trust them with your vehicle.

I came in for transmission service. They found an issue with the transmission and actually recommended that I NOT get the service I asked for. They didnt try to sell me on anything else and didnt charge me a thing. It would have been more profitable to do the service and make the money. Instead, they did what was honest. Wow.

Well, I got a good alignment, oil change, etc. They did a great job. My SUV drives like new. They got a new customer after that visit. They called to make sure I was satisfied with the service.

Very happy with the service from Rich and the work done to fix my transmission. Had it for a week and hauled a camper and great so far. Nice to have the three test warranty too.

One of my golfing buds was rushing to get to this business after an afternoon on the course to assist his girlfriend. She was taking her car to Allstate. She knew nothing about auto repair and based upon her prior experience with other auto repair shops, was concerned that she could possibly be taken advantage of. A couple weeks later, I asked him how things turned out. He was extremely pleased...she was as well...as her car was diagnosed to have a problem not as severe as she anticipated, repaired as promised and for a fair price. I decided to give Allstate a shot for some needed repair work on one of my vehicles. I can say that my experience was literally the same. Repaired as promised for a fair price with a great warranty. Ive done work with Bill, the owner before and he is honest beyound reproach. Rich, the advisor did a GREAT job easing my fears about the transmission in my 2003 Jaguar. These are known for catastrophic failure, but they serviced it up good and it is shifting smooth and quiet now. Allstate transmissions did a great job working on my cars AC they replaced my blower and resistor and I am very happy and satisfied to have AC again . The staff was very kind and nice to me they also worked very fast I took it to get a checked the first day and went back the next day and within a few hours my car was ready with AC . I will definitely be back if I have any other kind of problems with my vehicle I love it that they also provided me with a three-year warranty something that not many shops do . I had never been there before, but Discount Tires recommended Allstate Transmissions and so we called and Rich was able to work us in and when we came back, it was ready to go. He even gave us a discount because of the recommendation! Rich was very pleasant and it really turned out to be a great place to remain in contact with for future work when ever needed.They even called about a week later to check to see if all was still ok with the car and the service we received. Broke down on the highway, towed to the shop not knowing the shop just reviews. turned out to be a great shop and service was by far better, would send anyone I know in the Dallas area here.

First visit to Allstate Transmission, very pleased.I made an appointment to have my transmission serviced on a Saturday morning so I could wait on it.I chose this shop because here, they drop the pan and change the filter rather than just draining and replacing the fluid. I plan on keeping my F150 forever, this will help it keep going!Waiting area is clean and comfortable, and the free coffee was appreciated!
