They did the job, kept their word to have it done the same day, no matter how long it took, and even stayed after they closed to finish the job. It was even pouring rain outside but the guy kept working. People keep saying how inexpensive this place is but I found their prices were in line with most other shops. Experience was all right.

This shop has had my 1999 Cadillac Deville since Jan, 14, 2020 to replace a blown head gasket and they havent fixed my car yet. Its been a year and 3 months. I have read some other blogs on this business and some are really saddening showing that the owner is only interested in one thing taking your money and doesnt guarantee any work they do.aw

J E Auto repairs in the beginning services were pretty good. Just recently there work hasn’t been very good. My husband had some work done on his car and it was done correctly. My husband took the car back to shop to have repairs redone. Do not take any referrals for any of his friends auto & body repairs. If he refers you to Jo Jo auto and body repair at 711 Woodhaven Ste. C. Duncanville, Texas 75611 his work is garbage. Don’t waste your time & money because it took him over 8 months to complete repairs on my vehicle. The repairs should have only taken one to two months at the most. Jo Jo Is totally unprofessional, untrustworthy and work is garbage.

The WORST shop in Desoto. I took a 07 Cadillac to get the catalytic converter replaced, when I was leaving the shop there was some smoke coming from from under the hood. They said that was NORMAL.

The integrity and customer service displayed by this company deserves a standing ovation!!! When I called I spoke to the owner of the company. He went above and beyond to make sure that I got the service that I needed! When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and immediately assisted. They didnt try to sell me service that I didnt need and thats really what captured my attention. Every employee that walked pass me asked me had I been helped and they kept me posted on what was going on with my car. While I was there, I spoke to another customer who has been a returning customer for years and spoke highly of the company. That alone says a lot about how amazing this company is! I will definitely be returning for all of my automotive needs!

I’m from out of town and the wheel bearing on my truck was squealing really bad and needed it replaced, called around a few shops and talked with the owner, and the mechanic. It’s almost like talking to family!The owner was super cool as I sat in the office while they were finishing up my truck and the mechanic was cool letting me know what all was wrong and helping me figure out what I needed!They are fair on prices and know what they are doing! They fixed my brakes but the place doesnt have zero room for parking and its kinda trashy inside but hey they did their job at a really good price so I was definitely able to look past all that, my brakes are working great now!

Ive been going to this ship for years, my father and I primarily do business with jose himself, he has always fixed my vehicles with good prices.

The mechanic stayed over an hour after closing to fix my car. Price was pretty good too.

The employees are knowledgeable and compassionate and they go the extra mile for their customers. They went above and beyond to help repair my Hyundai that had sudden overheating issues while traveling through DeSoto. I highly recommend J.E. auto repair

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! We took our car to be repaired, but the repair that was done (a simple repair), almost cost us our transmission! After being told that our car was ready to be picked up, the car was in far worse condition than when we brought it. The transmission wasnt shifting into gear and the car was smoking like a chimney on freezing night! We barely made it back to the shop. A one day repair ended up taking a week. No one there seems to know what is going on or how to diagnose the problem with your car, completely making your car their guinea pig, apparently relying solely on trial and error and not properly running a diagnostics test of ANY KIND! There is no indication anywhere on that property that the mechanics are certified, licensed, or for that fact have a clue on what is actually going on with your car. They dont even have enough respect for their customers to keep the inside of the cars clean, tracking in dirt and grease and staining the interior of the car. If you take your car there, you do so at your own risk. They are nothing more than a shade tree mechanic with a building instead of the tree. I wouldnt even take my bicycle to them to repair. They dont deserve the star given, just had to select one to post my review.

I Finally Figure Out Was Wrong It Had Small Vac Leak And The Wires All Wrong And On Transmission The Wires Where Bent Simple Job Was Too High And He Took My Kindness And That Im A Female And Pretty Much Took Advantage Of Me. If You Need A Mechanic Who Knows His Vehicles And Reasonable Price And You Get Your Vehicle Back In Reason Time And Your Vehicle Purrs

The only reason its getting a 1 star is because it would not let me proceed. Please if you dont want anymore problems than you are already having, Please! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The owner is a pure liar and the mechanic is awful. Please Im trying to save you money and extra problems like myself. It started with the Catalytic Converter and less than a year I was back again. He told me it was still under warranty, but I would have to pay almost 200 dollars to put it on. I did. 2 months later my 2009 Nissan Altima started to make a noise and the noise got louder, so I took it back, he kept my car all day Saturday where it was running fine when I dropped it off except for the noise. The owner told me to drop it back off Tuesday because he had to order the part so I dropped it off before work and after work I went to pick my car up. Mind you I live in Venus Tx so I had a drive ahead of me. So by the time I make it to the freeway my car started jerking, cutting off, and wouldnt and still will not accelerate over 65 miles an hour. I call him and he tells me, you need to take it to a muffler shop because its clogged and we dont specialize in that, apparently you dont specialize in anything. He told my son 10 lies about the car in one breath and told my mom 10 different more in the next breath. Please save yourself the agony of dealing with this place. Please listen to me. I even saw his son googling on one of the cars he was working on. STAY AWAY! WARNING!

THEY DONT EVEN DERISIVE 1 STAR. Very Very unpleased with the work performed on my car took my car to have some air freon put in, one minute I’m told okay it’s your condenser, so I dropped $350 for the part and installment, next Day I’m told it’s my fan, dropped $150 for the fan and installment. Couple days later my air was blowing hot as hell, now they say it’s my compressor?! Which would cost ANOTHER $500 They should have fixed it right the FIRST time. Instead I’m out $500 and they wanted another $500 for the compressor. Rip off. No way in hell would I recommend these people to someone, not even my worse enemy.

Terrible at EVERYTHING! Had my car longer than a month. I don’t see how these people stay in business. We’re supposed to replace the brakes and they didn’t even do it! Plus someone had been eating food in my car and changing the radio stations. Workers don’t know an ounce of English so hard to communicate with them if not bilingual. This wouldn’t even be an issue if the work was done properly and timely. I don’t even see how this establishment hasn’t been shut down from all the complaints

Waste of your money coming here I brought my suv here and I had undercarriage issues they fixed one side for $400 and then came and told me the other side needed work another $400 so then he tells me I need an alignment so they don’t do that there so I take to another place come to find out it’s not possible because they didn’t do what needed to be done they basically ripped me off and over charged me my car is not drivable now the last car I had took to them had wiring issues it took them 5 times me going back and forth for them to get it right if your not knowledgeable with cars get a second or third opinion before settling with these people cause they are just in it for the money they don’t care about the service they give and yes they are nice not rude but not informative on the service of the vehicles.

Not Honest. Charged me $120 and the next day my truck would not crank. Was told Jose would send someone out to my house to get resolved(According to Jose he takes care of his customers) this is not truce. Called several times and got no answer. Took my truck to another mechanic and within two hours it was fixed. The battery was bad, but still supplying power for lights. He changed the battery and a fuse for $140 Go to Auto City in Irving and talk to Ted, and witness what a good honest mechanic is like.

Thieves!!!! Ladrones !!!!! If you have a problem with your vehicle dont go there. They will take your hard earned money, lie to you, than tell you they cant fix it. Its your problem. Call the police and sue them. They deserve it especially since they admitted there prepared for it. It happens quit often there. Hope they get shut down soon after being investigated. But they might be giving the police free service to cover up there incompetency.

My mom took her 2002 Lexus Rx300 to this shop it is around the corner from her house. They were supposed to replace or repair her transmission. Well about 6 months later she gets her car back! They didnt know what they were doing, calls were made several times, lack of communication and unskilled workers are here. The car had to go BACK for a different issue and this time kept for 2 months. The car was dirty and used this time! Extra 4 thousand miles were on the car and a sticky substance was also around the dash, wheel and floor mats! This is the worst experience my family has had when dealing w a non dealership mechanic. I would NOT recommend this place! They have poor service, dont communicate with you and take forever to do the job needed. Also, a part was needed that the mechanic was supposed to find but WE ended up finding it for cheaper and right on the internet! Its like they fish around to sell you parts and charge you labor for more and treat you very poorly. Never again will we take our vehicle to this place. Go to the dealership if at all possible.

He doesnt guarantee his work... he put on a a/c compressor for my husband that was brand new 10 mins after my husband left his shop it burned up... Jose will not replace it or give any kind of refund... Jose was not willing to take responsibility for his or his employees mistakes because apparently they forgot to put oil in the compressor when they put it on... completely disappointed.

Did not mean to even give him a half of Star...This Place is a Total Ripoff...transmission installed not changing gears correctly...took my truck in for brakes ....spent over 400.00 not repaired after taking it bk three times...ended up taking it to the dealership cost over 12 hundred to repair...I will never EVER EVER go back to JE AUTOMOTIVES NOT even to get a TRICYCLE REPAIRED THERE!... SHAME ON YOU JOSE and Your shade tree mechanics..Be Careful cause God is Watching You!

HORRIBLE.. My car was running hot when I went in. They replaced a water pump and a radiator.. Now I need a new motor. When it STOPPED WORKING on me I was out of town. Another mechanic was able to tell me what was wrong after only a $60.00 proper diagnostic test... Thats after I spent 750.00 with J&E... NO Vaseline

Very DISAPPOINTED! Towed my car to their garage. They gave me a quote and charged me $30 to tell me it was my water pump. My husband did it himself and it wasnt even my pump it was my radiator hose. What a SCAM! I called Jose and told him about it and even see if he can at least check if my husband did the job right he said yes and we still waiting(2 months ago)!.,and we live 3 houses down. What a neighbor! 😡👎

They put a engine in my car paid 2000 for it then a couple days later they had to bring it back for having a misfire on it now it is 5 months later and another mechanic said the engine is bad because they did not hook all the equipment up the other mechanics wont even touch it
