EXCELLENT experience! Got up in the morning, no heat from our 10 year old HVAC system that was installed by Builders Heat and Air before Fix-it-24 bought them. Called, and a tech was on-site in about 90 minutes. Tech was EXCELLENT and able to perform the repair with a very small bill. Back up and running in a few hours. Since Fix-it-24 bought them out, service has definitely gotten even better (and they were great before)!!! HIGHLY recommended!!!

We bought this house several years ago. It had been highly modified prior to that. The AC had always been a problem as it didnt cool effectively. We decided to replace the AC this year and had several companies out for estimates. All were happy to give us an estimate for new machinery. Morey came out and said the problem was NOT the machinery. Instead he suggested that the problem was that the original ducting was designed with half the return air capacity that was needed and offered a plan to fix that. Ian and his crew came out and very professionally added huge amounts of return air ducting quickly and cleanly. Job has been completed and Im happy to say that our house is now several degrees cooler even in nearly 100 degrees. Thanks, Morey and crew. Great job! We want to do more HVAC modification and these guys will get the job.

I used to really appreciate Builders Heating and Air Conditioning. However since the new company has taken over, I am less than pleased. They didnt get back to me when I had a furnace issue. Scheduling has become more difficult. Today I got a cancellation notice stating there were too many emergencies to follow through with may service tomorrow. I called with concerns about freezing of the Evap Cooler and was told no, it was because of freezing on the roofs and not due to emergencies. Now they want a 3-4 time frame to reschedule. I had no problems with Builders Heating and Air before which I have used for 12 years such as this.

Builders Heating & AC used to be a company I enjoyed working with. That has changed since they were bought by (or merged with- not sure which) Fix-it 24/7.I made an appointment for early October of 2020 to shut down my swamp cooler. This was with Builders. At some point when the change to Fix-it 24/7 took place they lost my appointment and so the technician was a no-show. I called and they rescheduled me. The morning before our new appointment, our water line to the swamp cooler began leaking into the house because it froze and burst.I used to be able to call and talk to someone who could answer a question or schedule service right then and there. This is now impossible because Fix-it 24/7 uses some service to take EVERY call and then you get a call-back. The operators taking the messages are not local, and Im pretty sure FIx-it 24/7 is only one of several companies they work for. This doesnt work for me - I cant always take calls where I work, so its frustrating that I miss a call and have to start over.I like working with local companies where the relationship and service are good. Fix-it 24/7 may be local, but they run things like a big faceless corporation. Ill be looking for another company to handle my cooling needs going forward.

We have lived in our house for 16 years and since day 1 Builders has been the only HVAC company we have used. We scheduled a heating annual maintenance check up for October. About a week before they called and said they had mechanics who were sick and had to reschedule. So set up an appointment for November 6. Today, November 4 they called and said they had to many emergencies and they would have to put us on a waiting list. The new owners don’t seem to have there company in good functioning order. When and if they call me just going to tell them I no longer need their assistance.

Dave came by our house to give us an estimate on A/C install a couple weeks ago. We really enjoyed getting to talk to him about the details and ask silly questions. Just were so impressed with his obvious experience, tech savvy, and sense of humor. Even though the estimate came in slightly higher than others, we felt like he had a much better idea of the job and what would work best for our particular house and needs. We decided immediately that Builders was the company for us, and were so glad we did!Dave, Gordie and Clarence showed up right on time. Like, On. The. Dot. What a nice start to the process! They laid out dropcloth to prevent any mess AND were great about answering even more of my silly questions. :) The work was completed ahead of schedule (about 7 hours total, including full cleanup). Before he left, Clarence walked us through how to use the new wireless thermostat and showed us what all the bits and bobs that are now in our furnace room were intended to do.What a great experience. Absolutely professional crew did a superior job, and this house is now a very pleasant 70 degrees. No more window units for us! We will not hesitate to call Builders in the future for any and all of our HVAC needs. Highly highly recommended.

We had a boiler/water heater replaced along with repiping of the old system and adding an additional radiator. The project was a lot bigger and more complicated then anyone anticipated. Laramie and Jason were always professional and kind. They answered any and all questions and made sure the job was completed to 100% of our satisfaction.Jason spent a ton of time with us going through every possible option until the perfect solution was reached for our budget.

I have purchased 2 furnaces from these guys, the one for the rental house was a very difficult install. I have them service both houses annually for the furnace and they set up and winterize the swamp cooler each year. Guillian is the bomb! She keeps things running smoothly in the office and is so personable. Prices are fair and workmen are professional and always clean up after themselves.

Just had my furnance and water heater replaced. Old house and furnace .Dan and Clarence did an excellent job. Very professional, right on time and they were able to get it done in one day. They explained everything really well,were gracious about the missong steps outside the back door and very patient with the dog. Dave was great to work with also. Highly recommend.

I have been a client with Builders Heating and Air Conditioning for 28 years. They installed and maintained my first furnace and water heater after I bought my house which I have owned for 30years. So it was not surprising that I chose them to install the new furnace and water heater and update my older ductwork ( the house is 1950s construction and I love it!). They were wonderful. Dave gave a fair and comprehensive estimate outlining what was feasible in my home with no surprises. Such a comfort. Dan, Kyle and Laramie were my installers, and they were just the best. A two day job condensed into one day and a short tyding up morning. I was so grateful for their efficiency, knowledge and experience. They kept my home warm during an cold/snow snap. They were friendly and patient. They took the time to educate me on my new system and toured my through all the repairs and updates. What a waste of time! I called Builders Heating and Air Conditioning last Monday morning at 9am seeking an HVAC repair appointment. Told I had to speak with someone named Maury to make the appointment. Ive tried all week to reach Maury without success. Its now Friday afternoon at 4:30pm and I cant get in touch with Maury. Left him two voice mail messages. Spoke with someone named Kevin four times this week. Nice guy but cant help me make an appointment. Whats up with this company? Dont waste your time like I did, use someone else!

Builders Heating & Air Conditioning has been my GO TO specialist for years. They recently replaced my Furnace, AirConditioner and Humidifier and I could not be more pleased. They were very thoughtful protecting floors and interiors during the installation process. The job took several days and I was very impressed not only by their professionalism, but by their patience helping me understand the new system. I would highly recommend Builders Heating and Air.

I had a technician named Josiah who also discovered a plumbing leak while in my crawlspace doing routine furnace maintenance. He not only identified the leak in the crawlspace but was able to find a hidden pipe behind my water heater that was leaking. He took a picture of it with his cell phone and it was very hard to reach! Basically he diagnosed a plumbing problem for free !

Furnace had no power. Josh came out and told me I need a new transformer ($250.00). Then after about an 1+1/2 hours he told me the termostat wire had a short in it. He took a look in the attic and said he was not going to go up there. He said he could send someone else over the next day. I made him put the old transformer back in and fixed it myself!!!!!

Ive been using Builders Heating & A/C for several years to maintain and service my swamp cooler, and have been satisfied with them until now. They quoted me $700 for a replacement pad, including installation - of course I thought this sounded very steep, but they stood by their price. I was able to purchase the exact same pad online for $160, and have another company thats going to install it for $95 - a total savings of $445 over what Builders quoted me. Needless to say, they wont be getting my business anymore!

We have been using Builders for many years and have invested in their maintenance plan up until a few years ago due to the escalated costs for this.An appointment was made to have Builders take a look at our heating and A/C for diagnostic purposes. We also made an appointment with another company to get a comparison in costs. Builders came 90 minutes earlier then the appointment scheduled. The other service personnel from the other company was there and I explained to Builders that we found it prudent to get 2 bids as we feared we may have to make an investment in a new heating system. When paying our bill to Builders I was advised we were charged $100 for that trip and she argued that they were on time. When I communicated how unjust this was , she hung up on me. The manager was worse. He was adamant about their costs and perseverated about how their superior service warranted what would be considered atrocious prices. Not sure if it is new management or not. There are many heating companies to choose from. Any business willing to hang up on a customer of many years does not demonstrate honorable or loyalty to a customer....or perhaps they are just that busy and successful.

Kyle and his crew did an excellent job of installing our new efficient furnace and ac. We were very pleased with their work, extremely courteous and professional. We highly recommend their company.

Had hot water issues. Technician came out and diagnosed as a bad mixing valve, but didnt have the part to complete the job. Charged me $79 for a 10 minute diagnosis. He thought the cost to replace would be $250. He came back 2 days later and said the part was $400+ and the install was over $400 for a total in excess of $800 for a mixing valve.. I politely asked him why he didnt call ahead and offer cost information before coming out and wasting my time and then asked him to leave. I checked on line the exact same part is available for less than $130. I know these guys need to make a living, but really? Had someone else come out and replace the part for much less $$, but that didnt fix the problem. Builders Heating & Air Conditioning didnt even get the diagnosis correct. Glad I didnt go down that rabbit hole with them. Who knows what they would have tried to gouge me for replacing part after part until the problem was fixed. Ended up being a bad check valve.

This team is amazing, weve had them install a new AC unit at a rental of ours as well as a new Swamp Cooler at our primary residence - the sales/initial team we met with, Rich, the team at the office (I believe Sherry) and the installers/tuner upers are amazing. Theyre on time, fairly priced, and communicate easily and often. I will use them again for our 2nd rental in the future when needed - and have no doubt you will be happy if choosing them for your needs.

We have a service contract with them and called in more than a month ago to shut down our evaporative cooler and furnace check. Every time I call in, it is the same story - working area, by area. Called in again today and got the same story. Weve never had this issue with them before, but this has gone WAY past ridiculous. If you like getting excuses and the runaround, sign up to be one of their customers. If like me, you find that very annoying, find someplace else.

I have an instant hot water boiler in my house and have used other services that have not been able to diagnose the problem. On emergency Jason was able to come out that day, quickly diagnose the problem the other service did not catch, get the parts and fix it!Builders also installed my mini split A/C system and when it had a mechanical problem after install went out of their way to come out quickly and replace the entire system under warranty.Great job both times.

Builders heating and AC is excellent! My old heating system was inefficient, and they assessed the challenges & replaced it and some faulty ductwork They set very realistic expectations about schedule, price and challenges, and consistently operated on time and on budget. And they were very competitively priced.

Builders is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They quoted me $3,500 for problems they made up. Two other companies told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my boiler! Builders also quoted me $800 for a radiator knob! Shame on them!

One year ago, called Builders Heating and A/C for what I thought was a compressor problem. Turns out it was only the cooling fan, but the tech didnt have the right one. Used a different brand. One year later the compressor failed. Certainly COULD be unrelated, but an undersized fan MAY have exacerbated the problem. The tech also tried to sell maintenance services at high prices. Told me my A/C drain tube was blocked and wanted $50 to clean it (it was not blocked). Probably wont do business with these folks again.
