I dont really do this, it has to be bad for me to take the time to do this. Well here is a snap-shot of my relationship with Pool Hands.These guys started off strong cleaning my pool, they did a good job at the start. Then we had some problems and found it incredibly difficult to get to a manager on the phone, it might have been easier to get the governor on the phone.I gave up and in a final attempt to reconcile with this company I asked my wife to deal with them. They sent a different kid to clean my pool each week. One of the kids left my pool in the backwash cycle and left my house. I came home to water running down the street and found the issue. I stopped the backwash and filled my pool back-up. When I called Pool Hands they acted like it was no big deal. Odd?Then, they would not backwash my pool each week after several requests, I basically begged them to backwash my pool each week because I really do not want to do this and I dont want to have to go through the trouble of finding another pool company. Well, with my pool and the DE filter if you dont backwash the pool each week there will eventually be a major problem. Well, thats where we are, at major problem. Ive been back washing my pool several times a day trying to get everything to break-free and it isnt working. The filter filth is washing back into my pool and up onto my deck causing a major mess and lots of clean-up!The pool hands service man would leave a work tag on my door each week indicating he back washed the pool, this is not true, the pool wasnt backwashed. In the final weeks of our relationship I would backwash the filter the day before Pool Hands would come. Then, Pool Hands comes the following day, tells me they backwashed the pool and replaced the DE. well that night after their service call I would backwash the pool and no DE would come out. If they had backwashed my pool DE would have come out.The most amazing thing was they argued with me about all of this! My expectation is that a manager would have assured me the pool would have been backwashed and then double checked to make sure the task was completed. No, they decided to argue with me and tell me what I was doing wrong. Who does that?If you want to have a part-time job managing your pool service these guys are for you. But if you want a smooth relationship with a company who does what they say theyll do you might consider another pool company, Pool Hands is not for you just like they werent for me!
