We heard abt Chaks garage from family member who uses them. Well they had our ford escape for 3 to 4 hours diagnosing the issue. I was afraid would be expensive and the fix was appropriate....even for taking our car apart to find the problem and 2 mechanics on it....yikez! Big bucks?!? No maam!!!! Diagnosis was under 30.00!!! We were told that it was brakes somewhere else. Turns out it was not!!! We went back monday and had it fixed. The Chaks staff are wonderful! Thanks for the ridez John C and good job Tyler! Got a vehicle State Safety Inspection completed. Customer service was great, and they completed the inspection promptly.

Said need spend $400 for tapered bolts having trouble align tow in on front end alignment .reason they could not get aligned because right front tire had 3 inches movement because wheel bearing coming out. Wow safety big hazard. They didn’t even caught. Other place replaced front wheel bearing no issue with alignment

We were traveling from Dallas home to Illinois. We heard some loud noises from a back wheel, so pulled in to have it checked. We met John, Tyler, and Angie, who visited with us graciously as the tech fixed our problem and got us back on the road very timely. Great service and great people. Were glad to have met them and would recommend them highly based on what we witnessed in their customer service with many while waiting on our repair.

John is always willing to listen to my description on the situation, keep an open mind, assess my mechanical problems, ( all of them), and let me know. He does not talk down to me because I am a woman. He is very honest and gives high-quality work. His staff is great!!

My truck was lifted by a local business that specializes in 4x4’s. It has always seemed like riding in a tank. Steering was uncontrollable. John took time to drive to business that did lift to discuss. After they did repair truck drives better than ever has since I bought. They go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy. Excellent service! In the past we use to take our vehicles to the car dealer... we had a problem with a vehicle dying at every stop we made and took it 4 different times to the dealer. Each time we were charged an excessive amount and it was never fixed. If we would have taken it to Chaks the first time we would of saved a bundle of money. They immediately knew what it was and guaranteed their work. The problem was fixed and this is where we take our 3 vehicles to for now on. We just had a mirror replaced and our car inspected within hours!! Thank you Chaks for your professionalism!!

Buying a car out of state and I had them do a prepurchase inspection. They went above and beyond to show me vehicle blemishes in the paint since I hadnt seen the car. On top of that they spent time to clear codes and chat with me on the phone. In the end, the price they charged me was less than the quote!

Overhaul on a Toyota. Kept for a week. Thought it was a brake job. Turned into way more. But they went above and beyond, and actually looked at the car! Most will just do the job you ask for. They looked to see what was wrong with it and gave me options for what I wanted to fix. I wanted it all done. Good mechanic. Ill go back.

Being new to the Texoma area I was really nervous about having ANY local shop do major work on my European import. John Chacks crew put my mind at ease and delivered. Cant thank them enough. I wont hesitate to use them again.

My alternator went out as I was driving from Dallas to Denison. I tried at 3 garages to get someone to take a look at my engine. Since it was a Friday afternoon, I could not find anyone to help me. I called John Chalk Automotive and they told me to drive directly there. They were very kind and accommodating. They had me drop the car off Monday morning and shortly after noon..... it was done! Not only are the staff warm and friendly, they are exceptional professional mechanics! I will never take my car anywhere else!!!

Very happy with the services that I recieved here. My pickup broke down while I was driving through so I made an appointment to get it looked at the following day. When I asked if I could have my vehicle towed there a day early, they told me that it wouldnt be a problem. As soon as it was off the tow truck they immediately put it on the rack to diagnose it and had it fixed before lunch the following day.

Was told 2001 dodge diesel needed $4800 worth of work. Not only was alot of unnecessary work being done they were almost DOUBLING THE PRICE OF PARTS! Went and got second opinion. It was $2700! I have put 4000 mi on vehicle since repairs. If you take your vehicle here ALWAYS GET A SEVOND OPINION!

These fellers are great. They were informative and professional. They were true to their word and price when they diagnosed my Volvo. This is an honest repair shop in a time when too many shops are of the dishonest persuasion.

Went there in 2011 to get a belt replaced on my truck. John emailed me a quote, and I did some research to find that it was a very reasonable price. So I brought it in, and they fixed it in no time. 5 years later, came back with a new vehicle, even a new look, and not only did he remember me, but fixed my mirror for cheaper than anywhere else I took it. Personable service that treats you like an individual consumer, not just another number that walks thru the door. First visit, I was recommended by Discount Tire to get a wheel stud replaced. They fixed that and finished my brake jobm. A second visit, had an issue where there couldve been a lot of suggested parts, extra costs. They charge DFW market value prices, but for high quality work and trustworthy mechanic moral. Only service shop in town for me moving forward.

John is a really nice guy! Theyve helped me out a number of times and have been quick and helpful. I trust them and will be going back soon for my other car.

Took my SUV in for what I thought was a rear suspension noise and it turned out to be a lose tire jack. Another car repair shop told me I needed new struts but since I had replaced struts about 2 years ago I got a 2nd opinion from Chaks Automotive. Got the problem fixed with minimum outlay and they even took me out for a test drive to make sure all was good.

Once again, John and his crew took great care of me! We had just finished a vacation down at the Frio River with several friends. My pickup developed a ticking sound from pulling a gooseneck trailer all the way down over some mountainous areas. My family was heading to San Antonio and my good friend, Brett Graham, volunteered to drive the pickup and trailer home and to Johns place. Upon arrival, John and crew determined the pickup was still under warranty and hauled it to Hoyte Dodge. They could have easily done the work and Id have never know. Impeccable integrity! Had just moved to Sherman and had a hard time finding a good mechanic. They are pricey but worth it. They are very friendly and had my car ready sooner than anticipated.

OUTSTANDING AUTO SERVICE! I appreciated their courtesy, professionalism, and honesty when I brought my car to them on 8-3-12 as we were passing thru the Denison area on a trip. Although Sears had just replaced the battery with a new one, we were still not getting much power and the battery light was on. We thought it was probably the alternator, and we would not have known any better if they had said that the alternator was the problem, but the service technician said that it was only a loose wire, and they looked at the car and fixed it right away because they wanted to help us get back on our way to our destination, and they did not charge us a dime. I cant thank them enough for everything.

The place is run by some good guys, but I went in for an oil change and left 2 and a half hours later, not discounted by even a dollar.

I walked in to get an inspection done thinking that someone would come attend me but i walk in the door just to be told i had to wait hours for an inspection when theres was not a soul getting a vehicle inspected so go figure walked in another business they had me in and out in 5minutes.

Took a PT cruiser fix it good price.

There is nothing more important than our loved ones. I trust John Chaks to service the vehicles that transport my family. They do the job right.

They went above and beyond to figure out what was wrong with my car and even ended up calling the manufacturer to find out about an extended warranty that had been issued that I had no idea about. They could have just told me there was nothing they could do, but they provided options.
