I loved this place and used them for major and minor purchases over the past 20 year span mostly for my modified GMs. Now just a bit different. Never such a sense of non urgency in getting customers orders and service completed. May as well be a division of the post office.

Great site to look at for high performance upgrades, tuning, ect.My plan is to eventually get the 2015 Chevy Camaro Z/28, find a few up for sale still 😉 but I will have lingenfelter do all the upgrades, supercharged, and get that old LS7 down the road at over 1,000hp and over 1,100 torque, nice 😉

I just want to say up front that I am very pleased with the quality of work the guys at Lingenfelter performed on my 2017 Camaro. I bought their 378 cid naturally aspirated package and added on a bunch of other parts including headers, exhaust, intake manifold, and throttle body. Shawn ordered the extra parts to the exact specs I wanted (I did my research) and was a fantastic service rep. He kept me in the loop with weekly updates on where they were on rebuilding the engine. There was a hiccup when they went to test and calibrate the engine, when the cam phaser failed and caused a valve to smack a piston after a misfire. They had never seen this particular kind of failure before. They took the engine back out, and completely rebuilt it with new rings, bearings, pushrods and some other minor parts completely gratis, as it failed during calibration. I was blown away by the response, there was no hemming or hawing, just; It failed while we were testing, well fix it. This meant that it took an extra month to complete, what with the coronavirus, and the fact that they got REALLY busy as soon as the virus hit. Once again though, Shawn kept me in the loop and it was worth every week of waiting and every penny I put into it. A special thanks to Chris, who took his time off after work and custom fabricated a mounting bracket so I could use an A-10C flight stick as a shift knob. He really went above and beyond. I would trust my car to these guys any time. Now I am the proud owner of a 640 crank horsepower naturally aspirated monster that sounds like a million bucks, and can really lay the rubber down. The team still holds true to John Lingenfelters legacy. If you want quality work, you are going to have to spend some cash, and be patient, but the results are more than worth it.

Sooooo basically these guys only deal with the original owners. If you lingenfelter vehicle and god forbid you being the second or third owner of one of their perfomance package vehicles they will NOT give you ANY of the paperwork that states what the vehicle has on it nor what kind of dyno numbers they claimed the vehicle made. So if youre unable to retrieve the original information on the vehicle just know they have it on file and refuse to send you a copy nor give any specifics other than look on the internet at their package. You would think they would be more than happy to give you the information as it could lead more future business but I guess theyre not interested in my second money.

Great motor but after spending $30k, I figured Id get some help if I needed repair. Not so! The engine developed a small coolant leak at or near a connection near the left turbo. I put a new copper washer three times but it continued to leak. A speed shop couldnt help cause they didnt know the turbo make. It took two months to get in to Lingenfelter and they kept it three weeks. They charged me $325 for tightening the bolt at the fitting. I drove it home and it still leaked. You should consider how you are going to get repair done when buying from Lingenfelter!

Shipped my LS7 heads to LPE for some CNC work and valve guide replacement. Work on my heads was done in roughly quoted time frame. However, they sat around for 5 days without being shipped, after I was told they would be. Had I not called, theres not telling how long they would have sat around. The sales manager that handled my order was completely unwilling to compensate me at all, for LPEs error, and instead said im already getting free shipping. FREE SHIPPING IS ADVERTISED ON THE WEBSITE. Im completely unimpressed with the customer service, and expected WAY more from a company like LPE. Screw the customer and his shop, waiting around for their parts, right?

I would never take my car there. My uncle was quoted long tubes , cat back and a cai with a tune. And Shawn said he would raise the speed limiter to 140 on a brand new gmc Denali. They did all work as promised except raising the speed limiter claiming they couldn’t without selling him new speed rated tires. Then lied about the 45 rwhp gain. It was just shy of 36 hp. Truck was filthy when he picked it up. Very unprofessional. My guess is he didn’t spend enough money. My dad spent around 30k on his camaro with them. They had no problem raising the speed limiter to 180. Ligenfelter definitely has a customer service problem. Think long and hard before dropping serious coin with these people.

Did a fantastic job on my 08 Corvette engine. Engine is solid. I bought it with the internal overhaul package with Magnusson SuperCharger. The owner of the local shop in Phoenix, Michael Kelly at Loper’s, asked me, Has that engine been pulled? Doesn’t look like it was.

Lingenfelter is a long established, family owned and operated, automotive high performance specialist. They are world famous in the racing industry and they are headquartered here in lil ole mid-western Indiana. They are not only well known for building race cars with ungodly massive amounts of horsepower and torque, but also for transforming individual customers street legal Corvettes, Camaros, and now Chevy Silverado Reapers into high octane, asphalt shredding beasts. These transformed vehicles come back to their respective owners with split personalities; that they are now both a weekend drag racing, tire smoking, monster on the track, as well as a weekday daily driver to the grocery store!Lingenfelter can hide all their performance upgrades so your vehicle is a stealthy sleeper, and still appears to be completely stock, except for maybe the rumble of the engine. Or they can give the body a face lift and update it to look like a race car.Lingenfelter can give your vehicle as much horsepower and torque as you can afford, they sky is the limit with this team of race car building geniuses. My personal first experience with Lingenfelter was long ago when they modified my 1991, 32 valve, rare, factory high performance ZR-1 Corvette with some engine upgrades and a Borla exhaust system. This car ran and sounded great! My current experience with them is for my custom built brand new Chevy Silverado 1500 truck. This was a GM factory authorized build and a joint effort between Lingenfelter and Southern Comfort Automotive (SCA) Performance. They began with a brand new loaded up Z71 LTZ Silverado and transformed it into a what they call a Reaper. They added a new restyled front end, 20 wheels with 33 off road tires, 3 lift kit, Fox Racing suspension, high clearance bumper, reinforced skid plate, flood light system, LED lights, Corsa exhaust, fender flares, computer tuning, and more! Then to top it all off, so it wasnt just a bad @ss looking off road truck, they added a perfectly tuned Magnuson supercharger to the engine giving the truck 550+ horsepower! All this and with a GM factory warranty as well as warranty from Lingenfelter and SCA.They have track tested the Reaper on a drag strip and it now runs the quarter mile between the high 12s and low 13 second range. This truck shows no mercy to its opponents, as it has also been tested on the off road hilly sand dunes and dirt/ mud racing course which is home to the Baja 24 hour extreme race.So.... enough said; Lingenfelter is one of the top engine builders in the world. They make sure everything is perfect before returning a vehicle to a customer. Their expertise does not come cheap, so you better have deep pockets if you want the best!
