Best dentist out there! From the receptionists, to the hygienists, dentists, & facility cleanliness - I have never had a bad experience. Staff always goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable & satisfied. I was scheduled for a routine cleaning & asked if I could make an appointment for something cosmetic I wanted done & the dentist did it for me on the spot - no appointment! Everyone is very knowledgeable & does not do anything without fully explaining it to you!

Oakwood Family Dentist has the most amazing staff. They treat us like were vip and the service is excellent. Our teeth are always in great condition, because of them, as they tell us what to pay attention to. I can always power nap while they clean/work on my mouth.

Dr. Ahmed is the best dentist i have ever had. She takes time with her patients and obviously cares about them. So happy I decided to go here.

The office environment is comfortable, very clean, and has good energy. The staff is courteous, friendly and compassionate. Dr. Amelia Richardson is patient, compassionate, she truly listens to concerns and is very thorough to make sure patients understand information and procedures. I have never been more satisfied with dental services than I am now that Im a patient at Oakwood Family Dentists!

The office staff was nice and polite but the thing I did not like was I felt it was a waste of my money. Since I did not have any dental insurance I paid the 69 dollars fee for exam and xrays. They were having problems with the computer so I do not know if the x rays came out. The dentist was nice . I went in for a tooth that was hurting me. She wrote up a referral to send me to specialist for root canal. On their website it says they do root canal therapy there. I guess since I did not have dental insurance at this time they did not want to be bothered. My dental insurance will be on effect next month(which they do not take). I was told I can request for the x rays to sent to the next dentist. That is if they even came out. I was very disappointed in the service and feel I should get at least part of my money back if those x rays did not come out. I am not going back there.

Had my cleaning done today. The hygienist was great! gentle and precise, no pain no cuts.Dr. Richardson was very nice. The clinic receptionist, also very nice.

We have been going here for 3-4 years and the service has been the same. Had a great experience from check in. Checked me in right away and took me to the back. Came in and explained everything as they went along. My dentist she was awesome pulling my tooth talking to me the whole time letting me know what she was. Setting next appointment and check out easy peezee.

I kid you not when I tell you they truly made me feel welcomed from the moment I opened the door. Megan (or Meghan) was at the front desk and she welcomed me as if I knew her for years. Then Nujood and Dr. Mavi (I believe that was her name) worked on my teeth. Ive never felt so comfortable at a dentist. The office was very clean and I definitely without a doubt know where Ill be going in 6 months. Thank you team for the wonderful experience!

As most people feel nervous about the dentist so did I but, from the moment of calling for an appointment to walking in and receiving the warm welcome most of the anxiety went away. I had other issues and they referred me to help for the situation and was able to get an appointment the same day. When I say they make you feel so comfortable and want to help you I mean that. My Daughter and I came for cleaning today they were PERFECT. They are very patient & understanding. They also now how to keep kids together while mommy gets clean. Very quick as well. RECOMMEND.

They work really well with my son who is afraid of the dentist. The dentists made him comfortable and now he has no problem going to the dentist. There is little to no wait when we arrive for our appointment and they do a great job reminding us of appointments. Finding a good dentist is hard so I’m glad we found a good one.

I am very pleased with the service that Oakwood Family Dentists provided me and my 5 yo daughter. From first phone call to make an appointment, to the end of treatment, all the staff were very friendly and professional. It was my daughters 1st dental check up and they made her so comfortable - she thoroughly enjoyed her experience. Dr. Ahmed was so friendly, professional, and such great bedside manner. She took great care to explain the nuances of oral hygiene to my daughter. Needless to say, the staff at Oakwood Family Dentists made my 1 hr drive totally worth it.

IEdited 7/28/20 took $2,500 From me and I didn’t get proper follow up care because I developed covid due to being on the FRONT LINES caring for people (without proper protection from my employer). I had to buy my own PPE to use once I returned after recovery. I had a follow appointment three weeks later after my diagnosis, over a week after having been cleared to return to work. I received a text saying the staff didn’t feel comfortable with me coming back because of my diagnosis and they want a full in person physical assessment done by a physician. For real!!! Where am I going to get that done? Every doctor and urgent care has a sign up at the door saying “if you have covid symptoms, we cannot see you. Go to the ER.” I have two PCPs and neither one would see me. To be honest, I didn’t need to been seen. Why contaminate their offices just to be seen? I was not sick enough. The only place for Covid patients is the hospital or quarantining at home (which thankfully I was not sick enough to warrant hospital admission). Back to the teeth, I developed multiple dry socket areas two days after my last visit and got zero for pain medication. The pain with the dry sockets was worse than childbirth. I still have not been able to wear my top denture. Seriously. The point I am trying to make here is that no one wants anything to do with nurses and essential workers until they need us. People need some basic education. The ignorance is annoying.

Amazing! I have been three times and will never go anywhere else. I have never left a review for any business but they were so wonderful I had to! The entire staff is amazing and the dentist is the most gentle, caring dentist I have ever visited. He is so pleasant you dont even mind that you are there for dental work!

I have not been able to find a proper dentist since I have moved to Michigan 6 years ago. When I walked in to Oakwood Family Dentist I was welcomed warmly by Meghan at the front desk. Hygienist Nijoud did an excellent job on making me feel comfortable through cleaning and Dr. Mavi was very pleasant to interact with. Meghan and Nijoud went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and bring me in for procedures on time so that I could get most benefit from my insurance. I would highly recommend this place.

I chose this clinic based on the reviews I read online, they were few but seem legit, so I feel it’s fair to leave my feedback.My wife and I have never experience major issue with our teeth and we needed couple of visits over months so we were anxious how the experience is going to be. We are done now and we are so glad that we chose this clinic. All staff are very friendly and treat patients professionally. I never waited more than 2 mins to be called. Dr.Shadiya Ahmed explained every options with the cons and pros. She made the whole experience much way smoother than I thought. Her assistant Nereus is awesome and cool and will make you less nervous. Megan is a great person, she works in the front desk and also take care of payments and will remind you with appointments either by calling or texting. Nijoud, the hygienist, she does a great and neat job with the cleaning.

They were able to squeeze me in at the end of their day. The whole staff was great. The best dentist office I have been to. I am so happy I found them and would recommend them to anyone!

Fast no long waits and friendly.

The staff are friendly and very professional. They make you feel very comfortable. The wait time is excellent, Im always in and out and they can get you in for an appointment within days, not weeks or months like some offices. Ive referred a few friends and coworkers that have been satisfied with them also. Ive been coming to them for about 4+ years and wouldnt change anything about the service. This has been the same post for the past couple years. Its 2021 and the same thing goes. These ladies are excellent, from the Dentist to the front desk. Couldnt ask for a better staff!!

This place is Excellent. I am over 1500 miles from home working here and equally in distance from the only dentist Ive EVER used. A few days ago I developed an unexpected problem with a tooth and was already plannig a last minute trip home to get it dealt with . I choose to try and find a dentist nearby not being familiar with any dentistry facilities here. Out of all the places to choose from I chose this one.What a great choice. The WHOLE staff was very friendly, helpful and very professional . I definitely plan on returning to them for my routine needs during the duration of my stay. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! !!! Oakwood Family Dentists told me I would pay $0 for my first visit, and the bill I received in the mail weeks later came out to be $97! Do not recommend for anyone looking for a new dentist.

Worst experience ever. Extremely painful and said I needed more work than necessary.

Very caring team. I came in for extreme pain without an appointment and it was my first time there and they let me in right away and found that I need to get my tooth removed so they went ahead and did it. They gave me pain relievers that made me feel nothing. They relieved all of my pain that I had. The doctor called me from his personal phone number the next day to follow up on my tooth and pain and told me to call him in case of any pain. Very friendly team. Excellent doctor, very caring, also excellent nurses and receptionist.
