I greatly appreciated all of the help from Ray in service, caring for me as my car all of sudden went down for the count! He gave me thorough details on the repairs, that were too extensive to fix :( He helped connect me with my salesman Lucky who helped me find the car that I’m now in love with! The staff at Smart were very attentive and listened to what our needs were rather than starting right in with a high pressure sales pitch. They recommended a few options we hadn’t even considered and by test driving several trim levels of a number of different models we had a much better idea of what what things we wanted in a new car. Anything we wanted to drive was made immediately available for us to test. Although we did an online search to find the model, trim, and color of car we wanted, none was available as far as Chicago, yet they had it delivered in just a few days. Friendly, knowledgeable, and low pressure made the experience easy.

Honestly this place was really great, the whole process took several hours (as it does at most dealerships) but other than that the salesman I worked with(Luke B) was awesome. Not pushy at all, very easy to speak with and it just overall dis not feel like that usual painfull interaction you expect when looking to purchase a vehicle. There were two things I was told/promised that did not end up being true, although one I think truly was just the salesman’s mistake and the other more a matter of opinion than anything. All in all, I would suggest this place to a friend and most likely I will go here when looking for my next vehicle.

Six years ago we bought a Honda Civic from a sales person whose name is Lucky. He was a very good sales person not pushy at all. We liked that. He has called me every year since on my birthday to wish me happy birthday, see how the car is running, and if I was interested in upgrading. Last Thursday my husband and I drove there to just talk to Lucky because he had called me the day before on my birthday. We were thinking of upgrading to a Honda CRV and he called and it all clicked. So we ended up buying a 2018 and trading in our civic. As usual it’s a long process to buy a car. But it all worked out and I really like my new Honda CRV.

Smart Honda of Davenport is, in my opinion the BEST place to purchase a vehicle if you are shopping for a Honda! This was my very first dealership car buying experience, and EVERYONE there was extremely helpful and customer oriented. Benjamin Rogue was my salesperson, and he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Not only was he able to compromise with my monthly budget, he was also able to get me into a brand new vehicle that only had 15 miles on it for the exact same price as the one I was originally interested in! He allowed me to use his computer to charge my cell phone while I was waiting for the small details to be worked out, and he took AWESOME pictures of my mother and I, and even personally sent them to my cell phone! Ben also made it a point to call me the following Monday to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase, and make sure all was going well! He had an AMAZING personality, and was fabulous to work with!! He definitely went above, and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of! As I have stated, this was my very first dealership car buying experience, and it is also my very first time owning a brand new vehicle in the 24 years that I have been driving. If I were to ever trade my Honda Civic in, or want to purchase another vehicle down the road I wont go anywhere else except to Smart Honda of Davenport! This business is HIGHLY recommended by my mother, and myself!

If I could give them negative stars I would. Bought a used car in June and in early August the transmission completely went out while my family and I were in the car on the road. After having it towed to a mechanic they informed us the issue would absolutely have been present when we purchased the car. Smart offered no help with regards to getting a tow, rental, or even fixing the car. Ended up pawning it off to an amazing service department at Tilton-Jax who ended up taking care of us. I can’t even count how many times I called after having the car towed to Smart with no call back or any info on the car or when we’d be able to get a rental/loaner. We physically sat in the service department waiting room with our toddler for 3 hours waiting for information to be told Craig, the service manager, had actually LEFT. Ray, Emily, and a few of the other service department employees were never forthcoming on getting us any information, consistently ignored my phone calls, and were downright unprofessional. Absolutely the worst experience. 10/10 would not recommend.

Have brought two new vehicles from Smart Honda in the last year and a half. Great sales and finance team but the service department suuuuuucks. Have been trying to make an appointment to have the clear coat protection that we purchased and paid for at the time of purchase applied Everytime I call Im assured that the detail department will call me back . Never happens its all mouth music. The receptionist takes the message, repeats the message back to me and still no return phone call. This has been going on for a little over a month. WHATS GOING ON SMART HONDA!!!

Ill start with the positives. Everyone that I dealt with was nice and professional and I have no complaints about their attitude or anything in that realm, but I feel with things that are done well, comes things that need improvement and for me that was the lack of convenience and lack of preparation.I booked an appointment for a open recall and something else about 3 or 4 weeks prior. I live about 40 minutes from the Cities so I dont always get down there to get service unless Im already down there seeing friends for the weekend which was the case here. I got the day off work and stayed an extra day for the appointment so I could get this open recall serviced. They looked at my car for about 2 hours before they returned it to me without doing anything and said they didnt have the parts. If they truly didnt have the parts to do the job, I feel like a phone call would have been better suited so I did not have to take a day off work for no reason and plan accordingly but that did not happen. I could understand if they did the recall but didnt have the parts for the other thing I was going to have looked at because that part is not specifically faulty as marked by Honda, and truthfully I could have that serviced anywhere but for convenience, chose here since theyre already doing a recall.I felt that they were unprepared when given ample time to do so. I really hate having to write a review because I dont like being that guy and usually let things slide because I have been in that position, but in this instance I cannot fathom the reason why my car was not worked on or what the problem was, when they knew the car information and the part information for the open recall coming in. And now I have to use another tank of gas and more time off work to come down and hope they have the parts to service this time. Its unacceptable, especially for being a new customer with this business.

Okay so we just had a horrible experience at Smart Honda this week. We approached the dealership to buy back a vehicle we bought from them less than two years ago. They gave us a quote, we agreed and they took our keys and loan paperwork and kept it with them. Then they said they cannot process the final signature that day since their computers were down and asked us to come and sign the final paper today while they finalized everything on their end in the meantime. When we did not get a call from them after the weekend, we called in to get an update. It was then that we were treated completely insultingly. The person on the phone said very rudely that our car was just lying at the dealership and they had no intentions to purchase the vehicle. They refused to acknowledge that multiple agents at the dealership had given us the same estimate and committed to the transaction just one day ago. When we visited the center right after they had the unprofessionalism to say that they gave us an wrong estimate and they can compensate us for the trouble we went through by filling our tank with gas!! We could see very clearly that they were lying through their teeth and refused to admit any conversations that we had in the 3 trips we made to the center last week and the multiple phone calls with the agents we had regarding the transaction.We just want to say that please do not treat us customers as fools. We know you are lying and being completely unprofessional. At least have the decency and the transparency to say truthfully that you cannot make the transaction. We customers are not at your mercy that you will talk to us and treat us like we are stupid and have not done our research.We are very saddened and disappointed with this unexpected behavior and just sad that the only Honda in the Iowa side of Quad Cities are exploiting customers in this manner.

I felt that I was treated with a lot of care and given the information I needed to make a good decision about the vehicle I wanted and the financing. Everything felt as transparent and up front as it could, especially compared to other dealerships I’ve been talking to. Marvin in sales and Lynette in finance were both very kind and helpful and I felt that they really wanted to do a thorough job with the sale, have me leave feeling confident and happy with the decision, and stood behind what they were selling me. Marvin put in a lot of attention and effort to helping me get the right car and understand the car and the incentives. I feel I got an excellent deal on a really great car that is very nice and will last me a long time. Dealership is comfortable and clean, easy to spend the day doing the car buying thing. It felt easy and low stress. The worst part was Lynette doing an amazing job selling me a warranty upgrade, which I didn’t think I’d ever buy, but she honestly sold me on it and made it work so look out for her :) These folks here just seem extremely earnest and believe in these cars. Honda financing was amazing and also really I would recommend doing business here if you want a Honda or think you might.

Had a great experience with the sales person, Greg Reitz! He was very helpful and was willing to do practically my whole sales process online as I live 2 hours away and wanted to complete most of the process online. The finance guy I worked with was also good and fought to get me the best deal! The reason for the 4 stars is because the finance manager was frustrated with me when the original terms were not what I was wanting. He claimed he had party to get too and it felt like he was more concerned about making it there to his party than to meet his current customers needs. He also lied about saying that I would get a free 2 years of Honda service (oil, filter changes, tires rotated). if I got my car serviced at ANY Honda dealer. However I was informed by Greg Reitz that simply was not true and that it was only for this specific dealership in Davenport. Lying to customers is not a smart move. Would recommend you talk to him about correcting his knowledge on this so that other customers don’t become mislead. Other than that, I had a great experience and would recommend Greg Reitz as a sales person of choice at your dealership at Smart Honda! Thank you

I don’t have much good to say about my car buying experience. I found the used car I’d been looking for online, and called ahead to check availability before making the 2 hour drive. The car looked great online, and specifically said it was smoke free. I planned on buying the car if everything was as it should be. When I arrive to see the car, I can immediately smell an unpleasant odor from the open window. I assumed it was a unpleasant cleaning product that would fade. Test drive was great, but I noticed some yellow staining on the ceiling of the car. It was dirty in general. I asked the used car sales manager if he knew about the stains. He explained it was likely a residue leftover from cleaning the car. I went ahead and bought the car. The purchasing took forever, our sales man didn’t actually do the sale, and they gave me less then 1/5 of what they sold my trade in for. Whatever, I got the car I wanted. I get the car home, and everyone who has seen my car immediately knew the terrible odor in the car. Cigarettes. I feel so stupid. That’s why the car was so dingy, sticky, and smelly. Upon cleaning it, I was disgusted. I will attach a photo of a paper towel after cleaning 1 air vent in the car.I received a thank you letter from our “sales man” who didn’t actually do the sale. He thanked me for buying a CRV. I got a Honda fit. To top it all off, it’s been 3.5 months since I purchased my car, it still stinks, and I still don’t have my plates. Upon contacting the dealership, I was told my plates had not been sent out until July 15th, 2.5 months after I purchased my car. The DMV has no record of receiving the information for my plates as of August 2nd. Smart Honda promised me they would be on their way soon. They said they would pay my ticket if I got one for having expired temporary plates. Not very professional. I just want to legally drive my car. Overall very disappointed in the dishonesty and functionality of this dealership.

My husband drive 3 hours to look at a 2016 Kia Sedona we were very interested in. I had called multiple times before hand and spoke with Jeff, to ask questions about the vehicle including, what can you tell about it, did you get it as a trade. Jeff said the only thing he could think of was the middle seat in the second row was missing and it was a local vehicle. We put money down to hold the vehicle so we could go look at it. When my husband arrived there was sweat stains all over the seats and seatbelts, and also rust. This information could have been easily told to us before hand, and if infact the sweats stains could be removed, why would they not do a thorough clean before a serious buyer drove 3 hours! There was also a brand new muffler on the vehicle that no one seemed to have an explanation of. Poor customer service.

I don’t think I have ever written a review before, but I feel like in this case I need to. I recently purchased a used car for a work vehicle from Smart Honda. My sales person was Jerry Leibovitz and I can’t say enough good about how he handles customers. His motto is to put himself in his customer’s shoes and treat his customers the way he would want to be treated. Jerry is not a pushy salesman at all. He listens to what you need and then does everything he can to make the deal come together. He will not try to oversell you something you don’t need or want. Jerry is a very honest person and if he doesn’t feel that the deal is right for you he will not push it on you. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, I would highly recommend Jerry Leibovitz at Smart Honda. You won’t regret your choice!

I had looked around the QCA and even around Iowa City but Lujacks has the BEST inventory by far and the sales people ( I worked with Justin S. mostly ) were all quick but thorough. Our car buying experience at Smart Honda of Davenport was one of the best experiences weve had. I found a Honda Civic Sport Touring Hatchbatch that I liked on Facebook Marketplace so I contacted them online to inquire about availability, price and precise color. I received a prompt reply from Julie Young with the answers I needed. I let Julie know we would be coming the next morning to take a look at the car. Julie had the car pulled aside and ready for us to look at and test drive upon our arrival. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had about the car. The dealership was willing to work with us on getting a fair price for our trade-in as well as for the car we purchased. There was absolutely nothing negative I can think of about our experience. Great experience! I usually dont like to go to dealerships bc in the past i had very pushy sales people that you could tell just wanted to make a sale without consideration and without finding the right fit. Although i didnt purchase the same day Justin Shindelar, the salesmen, spent plently of time asking about needs and exploring / explaining my options.

I bought a 2018 CRV there. Was a good experience. No problems with that car. That’s the only reason they get 2 stars. Brought a friend in to get a used car. Was a nightmare. They would only discuss payments not cost of car, wouldn’t disclose interest rate when discussing payment, and my friend keeps getting notices that the sales tax wasn’t paid from the state for the auto purchase. They said to send them the notices. He still got more notices after. I never got my referral credit for bringing a friend.

I decided to stop by this dealership on my way out of town after a visit. I wasn’t interested in buying anything because I live over 100 miles a way and just wanted to kill some time on a nice day. But the sales associate Daniel Westmoreland was very helpful should I decide to make a future purchase. If I lived in Davenport, IA I’d go to Smart Honda for sure.

Just wanted to leave a review of this Smart Honda dealership.Our family had bought a Brand New mini van from this dealership. The day of our purchase we noticed the minivan had some issues with it. The dealership sales personnel were aware of all items that needed to be corrected. From the very beginning we were having some customer service issues. We were told that we would receive calls to let us know when to bring in the vehicle to correct the different issues but we weren’t receiving the call backs or statuses from the dealership about our vehicle. After I posted a review online we were immediately called and the dealership worked with us.This dealership did work with us and corrected all of the issues to which we were happy with the outcome at the end of the day.The finance manager and team were extremely helpful and friendly in order for us to get everything taken care of.

One of the best buying experiences I have ever had. Jeff and Jerry were great to work with. I was looking at a CRV and wanted to compare it to the Rav4. They brought over a Rav4 so I could compare the vehicles side by side. Being able to do this made the shopping experience one of the best I have ever had. I was able to make an informed decision and found the best vehicle for my needs without having to go deal with multiple dealers. What a Smart way for Smart Honda to do business. They were not pushy at all, I received what I was hoping for on my trade in, and everything from shopping to purchasing was great.
