Had the holiday buffet. Was expecting greatness. There was a huge variety of food. But disappointed in most of the things on the salad bar side. The prime rib carving station was nice to have but a bit tough. The sides could use some more flavor. The dessert was very disappointing. It get 3 stars instead of 2 because of ambiance and waitress.

Attended the Zodiac this Tuesday with my Mom and my future fiancé and had a wonderful time! Every visit to this place is first class. I ordered the chicken pail-lard Milanese and it was delicious! The service was top notch as well. I always walk out of that restaurant feeling like a million bucks!

Afternoon tea was delightful. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation, but knew there would be some bumps since they just reopened. I love coming for the holiday buffet, but really enjoyed the afternoon tea experience and hope they keep it after the New Year.

I have been a patron of The Zodiac Room for many years, sharing delicious lunches with friends as a welcome break from the work day. I recently hosted a bridal shower for 20 guests and the experience was wonderful, from Edgar the manager, to Jeannette our host, to Silvia, our waitress. Thank you, Zodiac Room.

Great food in an elegant restaurant located inside the downtown Dallas Neiman Marcus store. Met a friend who was visiting and we had a wonderful meal served by a very friendly staff. They were able to accommodate my many food allergies.

I completely didnt mind this cafe, the food is amazing, and the shower rooms were not bad for public. It was a little chilly indoors, really was not the most enjoyable. The waiter is excellent also. I will definitely think about going back once again if I get the chance. Me as well as my close friend bought the salad as well as we were not dissatisfied. My one tip is to maintain the cool exterior. Till next time!

You MUST dine for lunch at the Zodiac. It is easily one of the best lunch experiences you will have. The popovers with strawberry butter and broth will make you melt and salivate for the main course. Service and staff are impeccable, the menu and food are absolutely wonderful. This is old fashioned, high class and upscale dining surrounded by some of the finest clothing, jewelry, fragrances and home furnishings in one of the finest department stores in the country. Dress to impress.

The Zodiac in the original Neiman-Marcus in Dallas has been around for well over half a century and still offers a quiet retreat from an increasingly noisy world. The traditional small cup of broth still starts your meal as do the delicious popovers. We had the mandarin orange souffle and roast turkey and havarti sandwich, and both were delicious. And of course there was the N-M chocolate bite to send us on our way. Service was exemplary as always.

Zodiac Room is a throwback to the days of elegant restaurants in upscale department stores. My understanding is that floor models would walk through while patrons dined. This restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food is top notch. The service is impeccable, and very accommodating to food requests, such as veganizing a dish.

I went to a lunch with my office and I have to say this is one of my favorite places I have tried downtown this far. The food was absolutely wonderful and very fairly price for the large portions that were given. The wait staff was absolutely to die for and I will definitely be returning

Epic fail! The last time I came here for lunch the bar was closed. The only thing worse than sitting at a bar alone is sitting at a table alone but I used to like this place. Today, the bar was open and the manager had his paperwork work all over it and the only good food available was the buffet. Im out. Again. I gave 2 stars because I have had better experience here and believe theres hope to turn this niggardly (not a bad word btw) experience around.

Great place for lunch to impress a client, friend, or family. This is a real hole in the wall in the sense that many people work in downtown Dallas for a decade and dont know about it.You get started with some amazing consomme and popovers. It seems people have lost the art of making good popovers but the Zodiac Room brings it back. Paired with strawberry butter - so good.The service is good, especially when you are nice and engage them politely and treat them like humans. Extra popovers just start flowing with smiles :) Just because you eat at a really pompous (as an earlier review cited) or pretentious place - does not mean you have to act that way.The food is great. The salmon is amazing. I definitely recommend some salmon and lobster bisque if it is available.The price is not cheap, but I always look at value. To be honest, I would put their plates up against trendier, fancier places that charge twice as much or more. Their salmon, or even their burgers, easily plate and taste better than $50 plates.You can get out less than $20 a person if you get burgers. It would be a memorable meal. Spend $26 per plate and get something amazing.Oh, and at the end, dont forget the NM cookies. They come hot in a nice box with the recipe. But then you might need some milk...
