Had a wonderful visit by a nice fellow named Anthony. Our toilet tank line was pretty old and it had finally had enough and sprung a leak. Came in during the really early morning hours. And was surprised to get an affordable price for it too! This place can definitely help you if theres an emergency leak in the late hours. Should I ever need it I know who to call next time!

Anthony and Zack arrived at the scheduled time. They were Professional, courteous and friendly. They explained the process and answered my questions, Upon completing the task of cleaning the ducts and vents, they cleaned the site. I appreciate their work.

Kyle installed a new furnace/heat pump recently. He was very knowledgeable; made some needed changes to accommodate our newfurnace and heat pump; and my wife, Patricia, and I are pleased with the end result.Also, before the new furnace/heat pump was purchased, Josh did a very good job in explaining the difference between the new furnace/heat pump that we ultimately decided to purchase and our old furnace/heat pump. The price charged was over double the estimate I received when I scheduled the appointment. I got the run around on the detail of the charges. They knocked $100 off and tried to justify it with a $120 per hour labor rate after telling me it was billed as a flat fee for the work.

Very courteous and knowledgeable installers-Anthony and Zack. Kept us informed of the install status throughout the process. Replaced a 33+ year old Trane blower and heat pump. Cleaned up all debris. Saved us over $1,200 from what a competitor quoted. Well pleased.👍

I placed a call to EJ Thompson on June 15, 2020. I had a unit installed a few years ago by a wonderful company that the owner passed and EJ Thompson took over. I called the old number and spoke to a representative from EJ Thompson. I asked that they come repair my unit. Once before the fan relay switch broke on this unit and the exact same thing happened again. I was told someone would come look at my unit. No call and no show next day. I called on June 17,2020. A technician came and advised the fan relay switch was broken again. He returned with the part and replaced it. I asked how much for the repair, he said I believe just a service call about $79. Fast forward to the first bill..the first bill came for $179 stating, Unit installed by H&S Found unit completely empty on refrigerant, leak checked rechargedLets pause a moment.. my unit had a bad relay switch.. no leak no loss of cool air, no loss of refrigerant.I call and am told they will send me a new bill. Fast forward to August 21, 2020. I receive a past due bill for the same amount. I call and they advise I will receive a new bill. I received it today, it is for $126.14 ($119 before tax). I just had someone call and ask what a service charge is, they were told $79. My unit is under warranty for parts, the repair took less than 10 minutes. This is not the way to run a business. Buyer beware of this place. They charge for things not done and even when questioned will not charge the price quoted!

I must say EJ Thompson out did there selves this week! We have had a wonderful start to finish experience with Evan our sales guy, Zack Knight & Anthony Olson our installation guys, and Curtis with the floors! We contact Ej Thompson on Thursday last week and the guys finished the job today! Our laundry room was not an easy project.. they ripped floors out and replaced sub floor and flooring.. new base boards and installed the furnace and made it look Easy! They were able to work with our budget and very quick to respond. Evan and Curtis did wonderful dealing with my particular wishes and made our old early 50’s laundry room come to life!! John came out and looked at my system and explained what he could do for me and gave me a great price for all the work he was going to do. He sent Anthony and Mike out to take care of the job. I had a new unit installed several months ago (air handler and heat pump), and wanted to wait to make sure all was well before posting a review. Kudos to the installers Anthony and Zack, very professional, installation went smooth, and the unit is working great. We have not had any issues. As for price, these things are not cheap, but EJ presented me with many options to choose from, with a full range of prices. If anyone is considering HVAC service/repair/replacement, I would recommend getting a quote EJ Thompson & Son. I think you will be happy with their service.

Scheduled a tech to come out and diagnose an AC issue. I will say this was during a busy time of the year so I was more than reasonable with any delays in appointment times and such. I requested a diagnostic and a check of the coolant level. Tech spent 10 minutes at the house and replaced a capacitor on the outdoor unit and left without even telling my partner he was done. I figured it was just due to being extremely busy and the unit was turning on and working. The unit froze up within the hour and had to be turned off. Upon reviewing the outside unit I discovered that the tech left the old part just lying in my yard. I emailed the company via the form online to ask if the coolant had been checked and what those readings were and received no response. I paid the bill, but should have charged a $10 part disposal fee. Left a note on the invoice and still never received any type of response. Cant say based on my experience that I would recommend anyone to use their services.

I have used Thompson Plumbing for over 30 years at three different houses. They have done my HVAC (2 units) and plumbing, (routine and supply line replacement). I have always been happy with their work, staff is courteous, on time, and the work is well done. You might think you found someone cheaper but you get what you pay for. I can depend on them.

Called to get a tub drain replaced. Was given a quote over the phone of $250. I accepted then scheduled. First appointment was a no show, and didnt call until that evening. Second had someone coming to quote (not do the scheduled work), Third appointment finally comes and the guy was nice and confirms the phone quote I was given and was about what he would have quoted in person as well and the work gets done. However in the process he scratched my tub up with scratches up to 32inches away from the drain. I had to have the person who glazed the tub just 3 weeks prior come back out and fix the scratches because of the plumbers work. I was irritated but probably would have lived with it. However this weekend I get the bill and it is almost double the quote. I called in and asked why, and they told me they billed me for 3 hours but mentioned they didnt bill me for the time when the plumber had to leave to go get supplies. However after reviewing surveillance footage the time doesnt come close to what they billed us. The plumber was parked outside for less then 2 hours including time spent in the vehicle on the phone in the front seat (assuming documenting). I paid but requested a call back from a manager or someone over billing. The work day came and went and never received the requested call back. I can never recomend this company and to be honest would encourage anyone to stay away from at least their plumbing division. I was over charged and had to have the tub glaze fixed after just paying to do it.In response to the owners response:I fully understand quotes can go over and also phone quotes arent always exactly. Your employee confirmed this was a accurate quote when he arrived on site and specifically asked me what I was quoted. To be honest I probably would have accepted that without much issue had the other issues not compounded. The missed appointments (two really) would have also been accepted. However your guy did a number on the finish on my tub. I just paid to have it done a few weeks prior and had to call the guy back to fix that damage that should have never been done. I also mentioned this when I called to pay and requested to speak to someone about it. But again you never bothered to reach out to me after I attempted to contact you and left a message with your office. You also didnt respond to it in my review.As far as the time, I was told on the phone I was charged for 3 hours and that is after they took off the time to get parts. I would be more than happy to provide time encoded video surveillance footage of your employee and his time.Arrival: 9:26amLeft for supplies: 10:21amReturned: 11:10amLeft job: 11:58amAgain the compounded issues are the problem and the refusal to return my call concerning the damage bothers me. I paid and it was probably a mistake without getting a returned call first. So disappointed in this company’s service. I had a new furnace installed this winter but two rooms appeared to be without heat. I told the salesman about it - he told me the technicians could check when they came for spring inspection. I requested first appointment for this service several weeks in advance but by noon, had not heard from technician - he claimed to be unaware that I had called TWICE to request first appointment on my day off. We rescheduled but now it is 3:30 on that day and when I called to see if he planned to come, the woman answering the phone asked if I had looked outside ( raining) - evidently they don’t send technicians in the rain. I don’t have any more days off and I am very much regretting my decision to purchase from them. The woman who answer their phone is apalllingly rude.

I had to create a Google account to leave a review. My first review ever...In the past year, weve had three serious issues. The first was the main gas line to the house from the street was leaking. I thought since it was before the meter, the gas company would fix it. Wrong. I got a few quotes and picked EJ Thompson. They were out the next day and worked without breaks to get the job done. When the Moutaineer Gas guy came to inspect the work before turning the gas back on, he commented that the work was perfectly done, must have been Thompson? Best part...professionally done and the final bill was less than the estimate!Not long after that, our 20 y/o central air went out. My first call was to E.J. Thompson. They quoted a price that was under my expectation, and in one day their crew installed a brand new, efficient compressor, air handler and gas furnace.My wifes mom lives close-by and she started getting a $100 water bill. I walked over and saw a trickle of water by her driveway. Went home and called Thompson. The very next day, the line was dug up and repaired, again at a lower cost than estimated.When her A/C -Furnace went out, I had three quotes and again EJ Thompson was selected. Another professional job.Its not the low cost (although thats great!), its the value. These crews are hard-working, polite and professional. Highest recommendation!
