Having to travel for business on a regular basis, I have found that Hertz Covington is the best place to rent a vehicle. The People are amazing and are not only very friendly but they are also very quick to get me into my vehicle. Returns as very fast and the whole process is quick and efficient. My charges are always what I expected to pay and they do a great job making sure the vehicle is clean.

I will NEVER and I mean EVER come back to this location, I hated the one in Conyers but this one is a hell no!! I reserved a FULL SIZE car and I came in to retrieve my rental and this was the greeting as they are smacking on food and looking down, “oh we’ll be right with you” , no smile, just pure ignorance, 15 min later, “we have that Toyota Corolla outside”, which is definitely not FULL SIZE, no upgrade offers , no professionalism, ignored the customer, etc, the list goes on.....I’m just reading the reviews and they’re most definitely racist, they apparently don’t want black people in their dusty vehicles and that’s so great because my green money will go somewhere else, I would give zero if I could

I cant speak for anyone else, but after reading multiple reviews, I was skeptical of what my experience would be like, but everyones experience is different and Im highly obliged to have done business with this group of people. I received presidential service from everyone across the board, on the phone and in person. I didnt get a racist vibe from anyone at anytime. Double salute to the entire staff! They also had great advice, customer service and displayed excellent professionalism.

I made a reservation last week. For under $150 bucks. A rep calls me the DAY before my booking literally tells me they dont the car and that they are a small agency. He requested me to change my booking to another location. I then went online to do another booking at another company and prices are doubled, and are even doubled on their site. What a rip off.

Absolutely a nightmare to deal with. I had numerous issues from the start. First issue being that I needed to extend my rental so on the day of return, I called to extend it another week at the same rate I was being charged. Instead of extending it, they started charging me $50 a day! I had to have another Hertz manager at another location fix my charges because of the error from these people. When I returned the car, the man (I believe he is the owner) checked out my car, I signed all final paperwork and I left with a total bill amount of $433 (still messed up amount but I was done trying to deal with anyone at this location). Two days after checking the car in, they want to charge me $100 for a cleaning fee. I already left with a final bill, no one said anything to me about a cleaning me and from the inspection that was done - the car was fine. Plus, a cleaning fee? That is what they are supposed to do, they are supposed to clean the car after you get done. Its a rental, its not a personal car. So, I call to discuss why I have the extra charge and the older lady was SO incredibly rude, not at all helpful, and just plain nasty. She told me that they are charging $100 for cleaning but yet, again, I left with a FINAL BILL. I will be reporting this location and speaking to management because it is not right to tack on extra charges after I had already left with a FINAL BILL. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! THE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, DISHONEST, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Save yourself the trouble, I wish I had.

HORRIBLE experience. I will NEVER rent from them again! Picked up the car on Saturday and was told to make sure I return before noon the following Saturday. Show up just before 9am to return the car. No one is there, door locked. Wait until 9:30. No one shows. Call the number, no answer. Call the 800 number, wait on hold FORTY TWO minutes before getting someone who tells me, they opened at 8. I politely explain that Im in the parking lot and the door is locked and all the lights are off. She calls, big surprise, no answer. She says to leave the keys in the dropbox. I do. Today I get the receipt and I was charged THREE extra days. Saying I didnt return the car until Tuesday! Along with a $200 smoking fee! I do not smoke and no one was in the car! Upon calling customer service I was told there was nothing they could do because they smelled smoke in the car! Be VERY wary of this location as they will make up BOGUS smoking charges and then say there is no fighting it and you have to pay the $200 cleaning fee! Check your receipt very carefully as they will stick you with all sorts of fees!

My wife and I flew into Covington, and Hertz had our car sitting on the ramp right next to where we parked the plane. Nice car, drove great... and returning was a snap. A great transaction.

YUCK!!!! I will crawl before I ever give this HERTZ/Covington, Ga any of my money!!!! NASTY, RUDE AND OBVIOUSLY BIASED!! My insurance company referred & reserved a vehicle for me there, after a car accident! I CANCELLED IT IMMEDIATELY!! JUST FROM THE CONVERSATION OVER THE PHONE. I will NEVER do business with this company EVER!!!! Luckily for her, I was at work and her rapport caught me completely off guard so I didnt respond to her the way she was talking to me. She had no compassion, let alone customer service and to think.. I was about to help pay her salary and keep her in business... Not ever!!!

Rented and paid for a car months in advance for a family trip. Showed up one the rental day at 5:00 to get the car and they had given it away to someone else. (They said we had to be there by 10:30). According to Hertz corporate, they are SUPPOSED to hold a PREPAID car for 24 hours, however the one in Covington doesnt and they had no other cars. Corporate refunded our money and we wont be using Hertz again. Ridiculous.

This company is TERRIBLE! I rented a car for a week. I am 5 1/2 months pregnant. Upon returning the car they charged me a $150 smoking fee which he said should have been $300 as if he was doing me a favor. I have never smoked prior to being pregnant let alone while being pregnant. These are some RACIST people. They are simply trying to overcharge individuals. Another lady was there and they tried to overcharge her as well...until she found her paperwork. I would NEVER rent from them again and based on reviews I see they have done this to others.

Absolutely AWFUL customer service!!! First my reservation couldnt be honored because they claim they didnt have vehicles, yet the lot was full of vehicles ironically they offered a higher rate to complete the transaction. Then they informed me the *OPTIONAL* insurance coverage was *MANDATORY* even though via Hertz 1800 # customer service rep said in the state of GA it was as advertised *OPTIONAL* (additional $43/day extra on a one week rental) after Hertz wanted the managers # they became belligerent and refused to provide the information, I was solely denied rental because Im black.....I wouldnt recommend this location nor hertz to anyone....I own & operate my own business and know this was customer service at its absolute worst!!!!

I believe they do discriminate based on my experience yesterday and today, also based on the good reviews from mainly white people. My sister and niece flew here to visit my sick mom and I from tx. She reserved a car over the phone from hertz. When she got there, the process took longer than usual because the guy did multiple checks which seemed unusual for renting a vehicle. After she got the car and left, she noticed the car was full of ants and immediately returned it to exchange it for another one. The owner refused to exchange cars and was trying to kill the ants with his hands and sprayed the car with a small amount of bug spray. She brought the car home and sprayed it some more. She called AAA and told them. They told her that she could exchange it at another hertz. She informed the Covington hertz owner that she was going to exchange it. When she got to the other hertz, they told her they couldnt exchange it because the previous hertz owner put notes on the system saying my sister allowed someone else to drive the vehicle and she was rude to him. They said she had to take the vehicle back to him first. We took it back to him and asked him about the notes. Hello denied it. We knew he was lying. We went back to the other hertz and rented a car and the transaction was much faster and better costumer service.

We booked a premium car for our Thanksgiving trip to florida in March at this location. We was told they didnt have a car for us although there were four cars, three SUVs & a truck on the parking lot. Basically we will (NEVER )^2 rent at this location moving forward. 👎🏽

I arrived Monday morning at 9 am. Was greeted sigh attitude and a very unhelpful staff. Stated they needed notice for me to rent a car. I counted 8 vehicles on the lot asked why these cars were not clean gassed up ready for rental first thing Monday? Then asked the attendants to call a mother local Hertz for a rental. He stated I can give you the number. I called Hertz in conyers they said they could have one ready in 15 minutes. Now maybe the Covington Hertz coukd take a lesson from them in service. More service less attitude. Never again. Very disappointed since my insurance company set this up the home office in Oklahoma confirmed that a car would be ready whenever I needed it. So untrue needleneedless to say because of convience I went to Enterprise
