Excellent price. Fast service. Professional. Top notch equipment. Easy to work with. Responsive. Mikes removed two large trees ( maybe 75 tall)from our property as well as trimmed up a few others. Came with a huge crane and a bucket truck. No damage to our property. Cleaned up and took the trunks as well as all the debris. I would very highly recommend their tree service and will call them again in the future.

We needed 2 tall trees next to our house cut down. I contacted a few tree service companies and Mikes came in a little lower in price than the others and was able to get job done within a week where other companies were quoting 3 months to complete. I was a little nervous after reading a few reviews about Mikes Tree Service, but his crew showed up 3 days later and did exactly what was asked for the price Mike quoted us. Extremely satisfied and would use Mikes again for any tree removal.

I called a few companies but Mike was the first one to come out and quote the job. His price was so reasonable I booked the tree removal for the next few days. They kept me posted on when they were coming and took the tree out. They had pads for the bucket truck to drive on so they did not leave any ruts in the lawn. They cleaned everything up and came back the next day to grind the stump. After a little grass seed you cannot tell there was a tree there. Nice people, great service, great value!

Just know the kind of person youre trying to employ....this is how he spoke to my wife after trying to give him an $1100 job.Context--he provided us an estimate yesterday. He drove to Cumberland to look at it. Great. He sent his certificate of insurance. Great.Then, we speak w/ our neighbors. (Theyre flipping the house and gave us permission to take down the tree). They need it done by 9/6.Nobody asked this primadonna to do anything the next day. This date is 12 days away.His response is laughable and clearly based upon this and some of the reviews, hes a hot head. But, this was worth sharing so that you understand that you are taking a risk here.

I called several tree companies and found Mikes Professional Tree Service the most affordable. The 3 tree specialists that did the work were polite and professional and worked fairly quickly to remove my tree. They also cut and left some firewood for me per request! It was even raining at some point and it did not hinder any aspect of the job. I would highly recommend Mikes Professional Tree Service!

I just had a terrible phone call with Mike. He pulled up to my house and didnt want to get out of his truck to look at the project and have a face to face conversation. He is not professional, not patient, not understanding, and extremely rude. He is very hot headed and if you do not agree with everything he says he explodes. I would never recommend this person to anyone I care about. I would also never allow him to step foot anywhere near my property.

My girlfriend had called Mikes Professional Tree service to receive a quote on removing 2 tress as well as grinding the stumps. Quoted us for $1800. Said he does monthly payments because he was a friend of the family. They came later that week, only cut down 2 trees but did not grind the stump. I called Mike and asked him why the stumps were not grinded, and he said it was cause my girlfriend told him that we didnt want the stumps grinded which was a flat out lie. Also told us it was going to cost an extra $400 if we wanted the stumps grinded out. I said you already quoted us for tress and stump grinded he said no he didnt only the trees, another lie. While trying to explain this to him he is asking me to be quiet because he is trying to talk. When telling him that we received quotes from a couple of other companys, including my brother best friend father, which was all in the similar range for the same project ($1700-$1800), he wanted me to prove it to him buy showing him the quotes. He is absolutely rude. I will never recommend this guy or his company to anybody. Please reconsider using Mikes services.

Third time over the course of many years that Ive used Mikes Professional Tree Service. As usual, Professional, responsive, quality work. Not sure what happened with those with negative reviews...but I couldnt be happier with their removal service. In all fairness, my only complaint would be that none of the woodchips were picked up after stumps were ground down. I was left with two massive humps of chips that have to be picked up. The kid just raked them down. But again, I would highly recommend the company and would call them in a heartbeat if needed. Thanks Mikes!!!

We were extremely dissatisfied with the level of professionalism of Mikes tree services and how they treated us as well as our neighbor when they were removing some trees from our property. They left a mess and did not clean up the smaller debris that they created when cutting the trees down. They were also rude and told us never to call again when we called and complained.

Very professional crew. They show up with all thats needed to perform the service and clean up afterward. The logs were picked up the same day as well. More than a fair price for all the work they did.

Mike and his team did an outstanding job. Mike had a very competitive price as I did shop around. Mikes team also had the best equipment for the job as he needed to use his large crane to remove a huge log hanging over a neighbors fence without destroying the fence. I spoke with Mike on the phone on Monday, and he had the job completed by Thursday morning. Mike also gave me his personal cell phone if I had any issues. I called him to thank him for having him and his team for doing outstanding work. Removal for the entire tree was done in the morning which was amazing as this was a huge oak tree over the house and a huge branch was encroaching over a fence into a business area. It was not the easiest of jobs as the overhang on the fence must have weighed 750 to 1000 pounds. Thank you again Mike for doing a great job at a reasonable price.

The price for removal of two dead fruit trees and some stray brush piles was very reasonable. Mike took care to map out the work for the men who did the job, and they made quick and clean work of it.

We have been using Mikes tree service for 10 years to do all our tree work. We have had 25 to 30 trees taken down and several reshaped over the years without issue. Recently we had a written quote to shave the trees even along the property line and top them all even. Which you can see from the photo was not done. The neighbor did not want them trimmed off the top and they do belong to the neighbor.I received a bill for the original amount so I called to ask that they reduce the bill which they did by 200 dollars because they wanted a satisfied customer. They only one satisfied was Mike!! The work that was preformed was only half the work contracted and I offered to pay half. That was not good enough. So we sent a payment of half. We now have a lawyer chasing us and a lien against the house. I could go on and on about the this but I think you get the picture. My advise.. There are many professional tree companies out there. Use them!!

Mikes Professional Tree Services responded quickly to my inquiry. They did a quick and very neat job of removing a couple of large trees and pruning others on my property. They also ground one of the stumps. They did all this at a very reasonable rate. The crew that took care of all this was professional and left my property clean and neat.

Mike came out to do an estimate at our home for tree removal. We were not provided a written estimate instead received a phone call outlining what needed to be done. Decided to hold off on work based upon a few factors, mainly price and not having a physical written estimate.Well, a few months later we come home and realize that our trees (THE WRONG TREES) have been cut WITHOUT our authorization, approval, or any signatures. Received a bill for work we didnt approve, and many threatening phone calls from Mike saying he will sue if we dont pay.UNPROFESSIONAL. RUN FAR FAR FAR AWAY. Im sure the guys that do the work are talented as it looked done well but dealing with Mike is not worth the time hassle or headaches. the man is unhinged.

Mikes was able to remove a tree in my backyard. It was a very large tree and difficult to access. They needed to use my neighbors driveway, with permission. It was done very quickly and professionally. The initial estimate was quick and accurate. They come when they say they are coming and not all home services are that way. This was an important thing to me.

I talked to Mike in person about getting a job the man said show up at a different place at 9 in the morning to work .I not from around here so I showed up early to find out if I found the right place because there was no sign stating Mikes and to be early because I really wanted the job and one of the guys there called him and told me he would call me back and he didnt even have my number so I went back to were I first talked to him his trucks there but no answer .so I found a different number on his website and called it and he answered and told me he didnt need me to work for him because I showed up early to work for him ..well I guess I really didnt need to work for a business or man like that

Mike came out when he said he would be there and gave a thorough competitive quote. He had guys come out the next day to get started with one removal and all the trimming that needed to be done. The next day a very large professional crew showed up with a bucket truck a crane and a chipper. The guys worked very fast safely and proficiently. Did a great job taking the trees down and cleaning up. Hours later the truck came to take away the large logs. the following day the stumps were ground down. The only unfortunate thing was that the pine trees dripped sap on my drive way and i have yet to find away to get it off. I would hire Mikes again in the future.

I had work done in the Spring. The cost was reasonable and they did a good job cutting back tree limbs away from my house. They were timely, did everything that was asked, and cleaned the area reasonably well after the fact. I would recommend them.

I used mikes several years ago. He charged me about $1000 bucks a tree. Price I thought was high. If i had a lot i needed cleared. With 20 or 30 trees. I would be in trouble. They did excellent work. Just the price i paid i was not happy with.

I had 2 HUGE Pine trees in the front yard of the house I had just bought - BUT , One of them was running straight up through across and over the main power lines coming into the house from the street pole-DANGER DANGER! Called his office at 7 A.M. for a price-He called me back at 7:30 A.M. Gave me a price-I thought it was PER TREE ... Nope- Very Reasonable price- Showed up the next morning- Bye Bye Trees- Cleaned up the next day, All Set ! I hired again a few years later- A tree had fallen onto my side deck- Honestly, This one was expensive, But I knew it must have been a tough job with the huge tree laying on the deck, one day, Gone, cleaned up, all set. I hired him that same week to get rid of like 20 huge trees in the backyard- Great Price- One Day- Cleaned Up- Bye Bye Trees. Ive read bad reviews about him, but Im too Smott for that- It must have been a nosey know it all customer- Or a competitor that leaves bad reviews , because if he wasnt good, Id Know - But after I hired him 3 times, and I had 3 Perfect Experiences, that says all I need to know - Bad Reviews Arent Always A Measure Of The Person Or Item In Question - He probably chopped down 40 trees for someone, but left a leave in the driveway- Ya Know... THAT kind of person ... Mike and his 2 Man crew did a Fantastic Job . They were extremely careful and quick about how they tended to the Yard. They had to work over a large Decorative Rock wall. Did not damage anything. Mikes crew, headed by Steven, showed up 12-30-19 as promised despite the terrible weather. We had to close our business for the day for safety sake. It would been inconvenient to reschedule to another day due to the weather but we would have certainly understood. We have used Mikes twice before at this business and once at our home in CT. Everything cut, trimmed and cleaned up as promised. I didnt price shop but I thought that the cost was very reasonable considering it was a full days work, great value.I would highly recommend Mikes Professional Tree Services.

I called for a quote to remove one big tree, and Mike came out the very next morning at 7am. (a day earlier than promised on the phone) After consulting with me, we agreed to remove about a dozen trees. His price was very attractive, and not much more than others quotes for just the single monster tree. We shook hands, and he didnt want any money until the work was done to our satisfaction.They showed up promptly at 7am the next day with a bucket truck, crane, grinding machine, dump trucks, and 7 or 8 guys. Proof of insurance papers were given. It took them about 5 hours to remove the trees. The workers seemed to be very safety conscious.The next day at promptly 7am, their logging truck came and took away 2 full loads of tree trunks.On work day 3 (today), the stump grinding crew arrived at 6:30am, and did their thing. They cleaned up the yard and took away the mess. This took about 90 minutes.The transaction couldnt have been better, and I am extremely pleased.

I called on a Tuesday night to get a price for removal of some dangerous deadwood overhanging my backyard. Im a new homeowner and have 3 young children who love playing in our new yard. The branches were very high up and overhung our yard quite a bit. Heres where Mikes professional tree service came in, I got a call and a quote the very next morning. The quote was below the prices i had gotten after a few days from other companies. I was surprised by the flexibility if his schedule, he was able to fit me in that Thursday! I didnt plan on having my funds available so soon but Mike worked out a plan for payment with me that fit my budget.Back to the trees, they removed all of the dead dangerous limbs and upon my request left the wood in a neat pile for me to process for firewood. Aside from not seeing the limbs and seeing a neat pile of wood in my yard, you wouldnt be able to tell they were there. They cleaned up after themselves very well. As an experienced contractor who has years of working on client properties, I was pleased to see that Mikes team represented his company so well. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Mikes Tree service is extremely unprofessional. They cut down a tree for my neighbor and dropped piles of wood chips throughout my cul-de-sac. I called the following day and was told it would be taken care of. A week later I call to say it’s still there and that I already reported this issue. The woman answering the phone proceeded to say...“Like I said last week I left a message on the bosses desk to be reviewed”. Every time I said it needs to be taken care of she repeated that sentence over and over with an extreme attitude. Couldn’t be unprofessional if they tried. Will call DAILY until this is taken care of.

I think people are unbelievably harsh, critical, and unforgiving. I read the reviews on here after I booked Mikes. Fortunately, my meeting with him for an estimate went very well so I ignored the reviews and trusted my instincts. His estimate was quick, efficient, and the best of 4 that we got. (Ill also add an unbelievable number of companies I made appointments for estimates with simply never showed up or called back).I was a bit of a pain im sure - calling the office frequently with questions. Eileen always called me back, she was always pleasant, responsive, and I never felt like I was bothersome. When these guys came to do the trees I was AMAZED at the job they did. The house is on a tiny road and its surrounded by wires. We were very worried how theyd do, but were didnt need to be. They made it look easy. The equipment they brought was impressive and was exactly what the job required.This was our first pass at clearing land - we still have more trees to take down and I will not even hesitate to call Mikes again. I was beyond thrilled with the company and the job they did. I would recommend them to anyone, but jeez people keep in mind a business like this is difficult to keep on a perfect schedule.

Mike’s company took down 30 pine trees in are yard. Mike and his crew where VERY. professional and the job was done and cleaned in a timely manner would use his company again for sure. we ever bought his crew lunch because they worked so hard.

I called to have trees trimmed and one taken down. I set Friday to meet when I called. I was harassed all week to come earlier. When Friday come he calls at 7am on my day off. I called back and he said he wasn’t interested. Don’t waste your time with this guy. There are plenty of other tree removal companies and this guy just harasses you.

Poor communication and horrible customer service.When I called to make an appointment, it was explained that the owner made the site visits and that he doesnt make appointments after noon. It was also explained that I could meet with him in person or mark the trees. I I told the scheduler that I wanted to meet with him to talk about different options and get a professional perspective. Because I work each day until 3:30, I had requested an afternoon appointment. They had 11:30 on Monday available and it was set.At 8:45 Monday, my wife called me at work and asked if I was supposed to be home for a tree appointment. When I explained that the appointment was at 11:30, Mike admitted that the appointment was at 11:30 but he was in the area. My wife handed Mike the phone and he asked if we could execute the appointment over the phone. I described the first tree and as he began making suggestions, I told him that we couldnt do it over the phone and that I would see him at 11:30. He confirmed.I took my lunch break from 11:25-12 and Mike was a no call no show.When I called the office at 4:22 to inquire about my 11:30 appointment, the woman excused herself and called Mike. After a few moments, she apologized and explained that Mike was really busy all day with appointments. She also explained that he could make Tuesday and he would call me before he came to the house. Not feeling confident that it would actually happen and having to work until 3:30, I declined.1. Extremely poor communication. Very unprofessional execution of their own process. The boss should set the standard for the company. It is downhill from there.2. Extremely poor customer service. I gave Mike the week before writing this review to call and make it right. Never lose a sale. It shows me that he just simply doesnt care about the customer.

DO NOT HIRE. DONT EVEN GET QUOTE!If you get a quote he will hurry through the quote write down too little and then tell you the quote doesnt cover what you discussed. Did it to my neighbor too. Both times he just left and said find someone else to do it. Next day I had someone come out and do the work. If you hire him dont think that is the end of it. Something will change and he will blame you for it and then curse you out. Plus the cheap quote he gives you WILL change when the big equipment shows up. Read the rest of the reviews... all the same stuff. 79 reviews and over half of them are 1 star. bully, rude, changes agreed work or price. Dont do it!

We had a cord of wood delivered a week ago. I called and explained to Eileen that i was disappointed. Not disappointed because if the quantity of wood which was fair. I was disappointed in the condition the wood arrived in. It appeared that they scraped the bottom of the barrel for it. After I was done stacking the wood in the wood shed, I picked up two 5’ tractor buckets full of mud. The wood was filthy. Now, after a week of trying to burn the wood, it is obviously not seasoned. Every piece sizzles with sap running out the ends.After discussing with Eileen, she took my phone number to call me back. The call never came. We won’t be buying wood from these folks again.

For those of you that have given a negative review, I suggest that you speak to Mike himself if you have not already. He is friendly, helpful and like his company name says Professional. I have used him many times at my home without incident. I would not and have not been afraid to recommend his company to my friends. Another great job done yesterday Mike :-)

Mike gave me a reasonable price and his crew did exactly what I was looking for and they did an excellent cleanup afterwards. Would definitely reccomend them.
