Project superintendent Tanner was excellent at his job of coordinating the project and was very communicative with us throughout the project. Designer Anna was fantastic in her design work, bringing forward many wonderful ideas and would check in on our project as it progressed. Anna was a treat to work with. Lead carpenter Nate was very skilled at his work, always communicating with us on what to expect, listened to any concerns we had and was very courtesy. The cabinet shop did a stellar job of construction and installation of the cabinets. Cabinet shop manager Ron participated in a number of pre-construction meetings with designer Anna, collaboratively working together to build the kitchen of our dreams. The quality and design of the cabinets exceeded our expectations! Cabinet installers Dennis and Eric where highly skilled and made sure the installation was perfect!We are very pleased with our new kitchen and front entry. Working with G. The work was to repair an outbuilding damaged by a tree blown over by the wind. The workers showed up at the appointed time. Workmen were friendly, knowledgeable, careful with their work, got input from us when appropriate and explained what they were doing. They did a good job cleaning up the job site. We were pleased with the results.

G. Christianson is one of our favorite contractors to work with. After working with them for 12 of the 14 years weve been in Corvallis, weve gotten to know them quite well. Our front entrance, concrete stairs and railing were remodeled. They have a great crew; Andrew worked in upper 90 degree temps in demolition--thorough job. Sarah offers creative ideas and design. Tanner coordinated with us and 2 sub-contractors. Job had some delays without significant impact on our expectations.

G. Christianson recently completed a major kitchen and bath remodel for us. We really enjoyed working with this excellent firm from the day we walked in the door until the final sign off. We had one point of discussion that was handled quickly, professionally and with equanimity. Our kitchen remodel has changed out home, not only structurally but how we live here. And that could not have been done without the good folks from G. Christianson.

My home had an older Monier Concrete Tile roof and the tiles were disintegrating well before their original stated life expectancy. My gutters were filling with sand, they were prone to cracking when walked on, were no longer made and the paper wasps were having a field day. Since so much work was involved on my stucco house to replace the roof, I hired G. Christianson Construction based on all their positive local reviews and the great quality of the work theyd been doing around my neighborhood. I really needed someone professional to coordinate and oversee all the subcontractors required to replace the roof with a new concrete tile roof, install new flashing, which required removal and repair of the wall stucco to install, new gutters, new fascia boards on the west side, replacement of a worn and ugly steel front door and then finally repainting the entire house.I also needed several other items replaced as well and they did an exemplary job at finding sources to obtain those replacements and then install them. They sourced those items from the sheet metal guru, Darren at Middleton Heating, a brand new stainless steel chimney cap and 3 new stainless steel attic wall vents. Those old wood attic wall vents had been my a thorn in my side ever since Id built the house. They werent made properly to be waterproof and ones on the south and west side allowed rain intrusion during wind storms. Since I didnt want rot in my walls, over the years I had jury rigged ways to catch the water and keep it from entering the attic or just blocked them off completely. I finally got tired of the hassle and decided to get them replaced with something sturdy and rain proof as long as the contractors were already here. They turned out much better than I expected and are gorgeous. Good job Darren.I really want to thank G. Christiansons lead carpenter for all his great work. Alejandro was a pleasure to work with and at times, we worked together to solve issues that were of a concern to me and that I wanted done a certain way to my satisfaction. He deserves a medal for correcting quite a few nasty mistakes in my original construction, especially the weird fascia/soffit setup they found during demolition and my epoxied nightmare repair he had to remove on the south wall vent so he could cover over the hole with a beautiful new medallion. He also repaired a cracked truss (old and from the original house construction) we found in the attic and did it without hesitation.I also want to give a shout out to Equilibrium Painting and Ironhead Roofing for all their great work. The project took much longer than originally allotted, but neither G. Christianson nor I could have planned for the rain, in July, that delayed the roof removal and 2 weeks worth of forest fire ash choked air that made working outside nearly impossible. And since Im picky, thank you Tanner and Ben for working with me to get things done a certain way just to make me happy. If I ever need major work done in the future, G. Christianson will be the first place I call, again.

Carl worked with us to find parts that we could do ourselves to get it within our price range. All aspects of the work were done in a timely manner and we were always kept informed of the status of the project. The final result is fantastic- looks like it was part if the original house. The second job was a small one that needed immediate attention. Carl responded right away and took care of the repair, even though it was a small job. G. Christianson is now our contractor of choice for sure- its worth the price knowing everything is done well and in a timely manner.

Greg and Carl have done three different projects for us. I have been impressed every time with their clear and friendly communication, knowledge and experience, work ethic, and attention to detail. I liked that on each project there were no surprises...the cost came in right at the estimate. Its apparent when you work with them that they are interested in building long term relationships, not just making money on one particular job. Its also clear they are good employers to their workers, have strong relationships with a wide range of subcontractors, and have extensive knowledge regarding permitting, etc. I would be very reluctant to go with any other company in town.

The Arc of Benton County used G. Christiansons services for an addition to our thrift store in Philomath. Tanner was our contractor. His attention to detail, preference for quality materials and systems, eco-friendly emphasis and personal contact set the company above its competitors. I would give 4 and three-quarter stars if I could, only subtracting a quarter star because we ended up waiting a long time for a door knob after we were using the space. I like the online messaging platform they use and the schedule Tanner gave us in advance. Construction is generally expensive these days, but G. This led us to seek out Carl Christianson who headed our kitchen project from start to finish. This involved removing old tile counter tops in the kitchen, choosing granite to replace counter tops and glass tile back splash, installing composite sink, new stove top and oven, repair of cabinets where necessary and finally painting kitchen. We were so impressed with the time line Carl was able to stick to once the project started. He was there monitoring each step of the process making sure care was being taken, e.g., use of plastic room to off set dust through rest of the house and putting down floor protection. The crews and crew leaders were top-notch both professionally and personally. The transition from one group of subcontractors to another was seamless, with no frustrating delays. The workmanship is superb. The final result--an office space with clerestory windows, a skylight and sliding glass doors onto a charming deck overlooking the valley--is more wonderful than we ever envisioned. Corvalliss Alpha Phi House Corp Board has used G. Christianson for 3 projects so far: a closet-to-kitchenette remodel and front porch facade update/repair the Summer of 2012 and a complete basement remodel and boiler system replacement this Summer. Carl managed the first Summers projects with very late planning on our part and pulled them both off in expert fashion, even though there were unforseen repairs that cause additional work.This summers project was well planned out but still required an exceptional level of quick thinking, problem solving and execution due to continued discovery of failing existing systems which couldnt have been fully vetted prior to starting. For example failed septic and water drain lines, support beams and joists, asbestos, etc. It was a wild ride from the owners side, but Carl and Greg maintained fantastic composure, were in constant problem solving mode and amazingly managed the project to completion within the short Summer timeframe with which we had to work -- including all these extras and obstacles -- and with the greatest of quality and professionalism!Weve found they have a solution-oriented focus, providing options and cost/return analysis, and go the extra mile to ensure theyve educated themselves on the systems or features we want. Our new high efficiency boiler system is state of the art and our 46+ live-in collegiates love their new space!
