Very expensive service, and basically no resolution. Messed up my name on my brand new computer, and had to redo everything at home. Different salesmen gave differing information and then basically shouted at me for saying that they did. Very crude language used.. Unfortunately few other services exist in corpus, so people will keep going there.

My wife and I go to Mexico a lot and I video surfers with a drone. When we got home I noticed that my videos are gone. I took it in to geek squad and I was told that my last date on my external hard drive was 2019. I looking at files from 3-29-2020. How can I see them and they cant. They need to get people that know what they are doing. Took it to a computer repair shop and they found my videos.

I paid for the protection plan and they are basically telling me that I am sol as they cannot repair my cracked screen and when I chat in they tell me that I have to go to the store which is what I did. then they ended the chat saying that they can not assist. I will never ever again purchase a phone from best buy I dont know why I did to begin with. Stick with buying your product from the retailer and dont trust the protection plan they will give you the run around and provide zero help along with being very rude even though I was talking very calmly with a smile on my face.

I went to Geek Squad to get my IPhone battery replaced, and they did a fantastic job. They were prompt, very respectful, and got it fixed in under two hours for less than 60 bucks. If you need a repair, they’ve got you. I also was able to book my appointment easily online, with just a couple clicks which was a nice bonus. Will definitely be returning if any future need arises.

I went here to see about repairing two iPhones I have. The first an older phone didn’t charge, there’s corrosion at the docking port. It’s not an uncommon issue, apple has a right up on it and exactly how much they charge to fix it. The second the cellular service didn’t work, most likely due to it getting bent overtime by being in my pocket. The issue I have was the Geek Squad representative didn’t actually work on my phone. He basically did what I’ve seen by poor troubleshooters “arm-chaired” troubleshot the problem without doing any real work. Meaning he visually looked at the outside of the phone saw a possibly culprit and then explained how each phone was impossible to fix. The first because there was corrosion on the outside there must also be corrosion on the inside, so much it couldn’t be replaced thus impossible and too much work to fix. I’m not exactly sure which it was impossible/extensive since he said both. The second he pointed out the bend in the phone that made the phone again impossible to fix. Something about the antenna/microprocessor being bent and there was no way to fix this. Which is funny because that’s the phone Im using now. After leaving there while we were shopping I just applied gentle pressure against the bend, reset the network settings and it now is working fine.My point is if you call yourself an expert or technician you need to actually look at the problem, take the phone apart and make a recommendation. He could of at least advised that’s what he’d need to do to know if it could be fixed. This employee was lazy and full of himself in they way he just visually inspected and deduced everything. It’s poor quality work. I worked as a technician for a long time and it’s easy to recognize those who are actually doing a proper job and those who just don’t care to take the time to do their job. He said a lot of bs and then advised me to buy a refurbished phone.

Purchased several computers for work from best buy, needed them fast. Well one...broke down a few months later. Took it to best buy geek squad, and was told they carry no parts for the laptops so it will need to be sent off. 2 to 3 weeks delay but what can I do....so computer with cord as it was mandatory to have both where sent off. They did agree to ship directly to work to avoid further delays. Well 2 weeks later the computer arrives without power cord. After calling the service center said they never receive cords.....hmmm so I drive to best buy on Saturday and come to find out that they keep the cord at the store. Wow, now that really helps with getting my computer back faster. So in store they can not fix anything on laptops and keep your cord so that you have to visit them again to get it back. Never mentioning they had it and in fact implying they sent the cord off with the computer. If this was the only issue I would not rate them so low but there have been others just as stupid

Great experience. I must admit, I was skeptical about bringing my laptop in for repair but TOBYE was very well informed and explained everything so well. It was refreshing to meet someone who seems to really love their job! I actually got my laptop back 3 days prior to when it was originally promised! I have not had a good experience at this store previously, mostly because its hard to get someone to help you and when I do they sometimes act like you are bothering them. But TOBYE restored my faith in Best Buy and I will tell everyone I know to go to Geek Squad, but Id probably advise them to make an appointment with Tobye.

Zero help! Cannot repair in store because of “contract with Apple” ... couldn’t even open it up ... $85 to send off, $800-1000 to repair (even though they have no idea what’s wrong!), won’t get back for 30-45 days! WT-? Seriously! Why are you the “experts” when you do NOTHING!?!

I had purchased a toshiba led tv and 4 months later it went out. My fiance is pregnant and having a difficult pregnancy and i was not able to take my tv off my tv stand mount. They were quick to replace the tv and i was told by the geek squad tech that they would wound mount the new tv back on my tv stand. Well they dismounted my tv and said well we arnt even supposed do do this even, but you have to do that yourself.

These people are totally incompetent. Showed up early for my appointment to be told I was late, then wait 15 minutes before leaving and never getting serviced while tons of employees stand around in the back.
