I rented a pontoon - with Captain! - as a way to celebrate my wifes birthday. We had a great 4 hours out on Lake Norman. The boat was in perfect shape, and Captain Tim was a wonderful host. I would definitely do this again for a special event. Thanks Cornelius Pontoon Rentals!!!

My wife and I rented a Pontoon for the day. It was a great experience with Cornelius Pontoon rentals. Ive rented pontoons for Lake Norman in the past and I will say this was better than the previous experiences. I operate a boat max once a year, maybe once every 2-3 years. They took the time to make sure I understood how to operate the boat and controls, especially the range finder so I dont get into shallow areas of the lake. Gas is included so you dont have to worry about filling it back up. They had a cooler with water and snacks, which was a great plus. They also provide points of interest on their website that will give you pins on your google maps such as famous homes on the water. The boat itself is newer as well. I had to turn around and come back in because we forgot some food in our car and they came back to help us dock properly. One of my best experiences renting a pontoon for Lake Norman. I highly recommend.

Great experience, really nice pontoon boat and owners! they provide an ice chest with plenty of snacks and water. They also give you a link with GPS coordinates for places of interest on the lake and text you to make sure you are having a trouble free time. I would definitely rent from them again!

We rented a pontoon boat yesterday for a full day and everything was perfect!! Mike and Joyce are awesome! They are so kind and welcoming and extremely thorough! The boat was so nice and clean and they were kind enough to provide a cooler full of ice and water and snacks. We really appreciated not having to lug a big cooler around! Mike is excellent at explaining the boat. We had no issues at all. Living in Charlotte I would rent from Mike And Joyce again without a doubt!!! They are a great company to rent a boat from! Can only provide a 5 star review. Three adults on a four hour tour and could not have had a better time. From a clean boat, to a great captain (if like us you do not want the worry of operation, I highly recommend as you also get a knowledgeable tour guide as well as skipper) to a really great four hours of boating and swimming. You really get a great experience at a very reasonable price.

How nice is that!The dock is in a very sheltered (deep water) cove, so launching and returning is very easy.Nice touch that ice & water is provided, as there is a set of stairs to descend to the dock...you dont (and should not) have to bring heavy cooler w ice to enjoy the day.Great experience - definitely can recommend!

Couldnt be happier with their services! Mike was very easy to get in touch with and quick to reply. He gave me all the tools necessaryto get a boating license (for free) to drive the boat confidently. When we got to the drop off area he was very detailed in the boats workings and made sure we felt comfortable when getting out on the lake. Hands down this is the place you want to rent from when thinking about a cruise around Lake Norman. I inquired at several other companies on the lake, but Mike and Joyce have them all beat. The price paid for the rental is basically the same as the others, and in many cases, was less. But on top of that, they provide you with a cooler full of ice, water bottles, assorted bags of chips, swimming noodles and they don’t hit you up for gas when you return. All the others were charging for the fuel you used. This is what sets them apart. They were very thorough with instructions prior to us heading out, and even contacted us once while on the water to see that all was well. Bring your cell phone & charger, as he has a usb port on board. This makes navigating a no brainer. Google maps is an awesome thing!! It took us all the way around the whole lake without ever looking at a regular map. And of course, right back to their dock when we were done. Mike even pinned a few locations for us to check out which was cool. You can pair your phone with his radio also, so you can listen to your favorite tunes. This is the way a business should be run, where the customer’s needs come first!! Thanks guys, would recommend you in a heartbeat to anyone.Pat

Super easy boat rental service. From booking online to the communication along the way both Mike and Joyce were very professional and very friendly. We had bad weather but the service was exceptional and the boat was immaculate. They thought of everything from keeping a full size cooler with drinks and snacks to taking your trash for you in the end. Great experience!

We were visiting Lake Norman and decided to take the family on a cruise around the lake. After some brief research we found CPR just a mile down the road from where we were staying.The boat was great and Mike was very helpful. The map locations he sent out prior were nice (Denny Hamlin has a HUGE house). Refreshments were welcome as well.The best part was just coming back and handing the keys to Mike. Everything prepaid (including gas) meant we were on our way shortly after getting back.

Weird and unprofessional. They texted us late at night on a weekday to ask us about our boating experience before denying our reservation late into the night. Never had such a bad experience trying to rent a boat. If you’re not a professional boater who drives them on a weekly basis AND born before 1988 I’d check out a place with a more welcoming attitude.

Top Notch Service & a fabulous day on the lake! The pontoon was delivered promptly (early actually,) to our local dock and picked up there as well. We had clear communication and our questions were answered quickly! Everything was clean and sanitized, and a cooler was stocked full of snacks and drinks too. All of the appropriate safety equipment was on hand for a safe, fun-filled day on the water. We also enjoyed scoping out some local sightseeing spots thanks to the links sent prior to our reservation. The pontoon was easy to navigate and we brought our fishing poles for the kids too. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed the day and we would highly recommend the company!
