Very clean place. I would of gave them a five star if they would give me back our money two years ago. They charged me for two camp sites when we only wanted one. Also they charge 25.00 or more for guaranteed spot. That is a scam. Why reserve in the first place. They have their own beach. Its sad that an employee was stealing and did not give our money back due to their theft.

We really love this RV Park. Would give it 5 stars for the park and 8 stars for the staff. However, ever since Sun Rv took over customer service has gone way down hill. You can never get anyone on the phone. And when you leave a voice-mail (or dozens) nobody ever calls back! The only way to reach an actual person is to call and act like you want to make a new reservation. Then you can finally discuss the reservations youve already made.

Great location on a fantastic beach. Unfortunately the tent sites are small and expensive for what they are. Neighboring campers had to go through our site to get to theirs. It was a less than ideal scenario. Maybe its better if youre staying in an RV, but I dont envision going back and staying in a tent again here.

I really want to give this place 5 starts cause it was amazing on all levels. The biggest down fall is when the fog sets in there is ALOT of noice in the ocean you can’t see and it’s very discomforting. Once the fog went away the silence was nice but we were there 6 days and fog was only gone one day. If you are sensitive to loud noises I don’t recommend. But for family, safe and easy access to beach this place 100% ! Wonderful beach with crabbing right there by the rocks. Showers and bathrooms. This is our second time there but only first time we were so distracted by the unknown noice. We even asked locals and they didn’t know what it was either..

My previous same review was taken down. We stayed here for 3 nights just last weekend had stuff stolen from our rv site. Our cooler full of food and ice was stolen, and an rv site a couple down from us had their brand new camp stove and propane tank stolen. The management and staff are well aware this is going on, told us they know the hours it happens between, and yet they still don’t warn anybody that this is going on and to put their stuff indoors at night, don’t have extra patrols during the hours the thefts are happening, or put up extra cameras. Night after night they just say “sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️“ and allow it to keep happening. The staff needs to warn everyone who stays here. And if you take my review down I’ll keep posting it until you can do something, anything, about what’s going on knowingly on your property. Thank you.

We rented a cabin for two nights and were very impressed. The cabin was lovely and modern with a kitchen that boasts granite counter tops, and a chef quality 4 burner gas stove. It also featured two bedrooms, a bathroom, back and front porch, t.v. and an outdoor sitting area with fire pit. Every room is so well appointed you need to bring anything but your suitcase. The staff are friendly, helpful, and they interact with the guests. A tiny convenience store at the main office sells items you may have forgotten, i.e. beverages, food stuffs, sunscreen, etc. There is a workout room on site. I called to cancel and was told I would have had to call at 9:00 am this morning for a refund. Mind you, the website says no cancellation fees*. Totally misleading. I read the fine print and it says two days, but the 9am criteria wasnt evident. So yeah, false advertising and Ill be paying for a site we cant use because we are following proper COVID protocols. I am blown away by the lack of business ethic.Oceanside has since refunded our payment. I was very pleased to see that, and the show of flexibility following my review. Thank you Oceanside! DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed here with my husband and a friend for a weekend in a cottage from 9/28-9/30/2020. I was just informed that I am not getting my 150$ deposit back since there was coffee on the counter, a stain on the stove top and the microwave needed to be cleaned. There were NO instructions in the check out documentation that stated we needed to scrub the place, and no countertop cleaner anywhere in site. This is an unscrupulous company to take 150$ for cleaning a microwave, stove top and coffee from a countertop. I was also told there was sand in the windowsill, which I know nothing about. I was not given any photos to back up these claims. My ask to speak with a manager was denied. Additionally, when I went into the front office to ask about something, none of the staff were wearing masks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I would absolutely not recommend this RV park. They do not have enough parking. There is room for one small vehicle to be parked in front of the cottages. We were informed when making our reservation that they had ample overflow parking. In reality there is 4 spots and 2 spots more on the other side of the park. This is not enough! Multiple people are going to have more then one vehicle. This is what happed when we arrived! No parking anywhere! We towed a boat hours away from home and had no place to park it. When making the reservation we were lied to and told there was plenty of parking and the employee even went so far to say we could park the boat in front of the cottage. We had family members that stayed in a RV spot and desperately we parked the boat in the dirt/sand at there RV campsite. We were told we had to move the boat because it was on the grass. There was absolutely no grass. Maybe dead grass that was covered with dirt and sand at best. If you are staying in a RV camp site beware you will not be able to utilize most of the space. The staff will make you move any extra vehicles or boats even if you are in your designated spot. Customers want to use the RV camp site not look at dead grass. After bagging staff to find a resolution and not wanting to drive hours back home, we were given the option to park the boat in a parking lot detached from the main park with no lights or security. The next morning the license plate for the boat trailer was missing. We stayed in a vacation rental. The units floor was dirty. I found a lot of hair. The loft area was not unusable. The stairs are extremely steep and small. The bottom stair was broken, half attached and hoisted up with wooden blocks. The mattresses were very soft with no support and uncomfortable. We will not be back. When checking in was informed of a damage deposit of $150. The employee told me it falls right off upon leaving. I was not informed of any $150 fee when making the reservation. This is not a hold they actually charge your card. It does not come right off upon checkout! I called three days after checkout and was told by the same employee that told me it would “fall right off” that it takes time. She informed me, First housekeeping has to look at the room, then they have to OK it with management, then management has to OK it with accounting department, then she said who knows how long it’s gonna take your bank. In reality it took over a week after checking out for the business to issue the $150 damage deposit refund.

Update: I have called on three occasions after reading response have not been able to reach anyone have left three messages. My horrible experience has gotten worse.I called two months in advance to RESERVE and pay in advance for camping on OCEAN front tent site. This was following an email conversation asking if they would have sites available. Reiterating and repeating what type of camp site I wanted. When I arrived to check in I was told my site was not even by the ocean. It was in some shared area with zero privacy at $50 a night. Yes I paid 100$ to sleep on the ground next to screaming children. We were so excited to stay on the beach, I asked for time off in advance to camp with my son. This was so grossly disappointing. The lady that checked us in assured that they would make this right. No such thing was done. So, we went and parked where instructed, five mins later a staff member got huffy and told me to move my car. Like there is no parking anywhere near where the site is. I parked where I was told. Man was rude. This is during covid and restrooms were not cleaned once. Tp is was empty. When I notified manager later she told me I booked a regular site. No ma’am I did not. I have an email thread showing a conversation of ocean site. Bad customer service, not a good time. Not worth the money. Don’t bother making a reservation, it doesn’t even reserve the spot. Other guests next to us said same thing happened to them.

The dirt turned out to be manure! Talk about ruining a perfect weekend. The smell was absolutely horrible! Couldnt open the windows in the RV and the weather was amazing. Looked for things to do so we didnt have to sit around that smell. No warning, no offer for a partial credit no nothing! I also noticed on these reviews that the owner only responds to good reviews not the bad ones! WOW! Wheres the concern! Do they realize there is a brand new RV just up the road toward Coos Bay.

Nice place although I wouldn’t call it a resort—it’s a park. The staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are okay. The showers were having some problems with the hot water while we were there. The beach access is what makes this place worthwhile. There are some tent sites that are on the beach! The park is not paved and there isn’t any landscaping. What first looked like grass is really thistle and the dirt is that powdery dirt-sand which gets everywhere. The campsites each have a fire ring and picnic table. The sites are much tighter than expected. Even so, we did enjoy our stay. We saw a lot of state park campgrounds on the coast that seemed more desirable, but if you have a big trailer or RV, sometimes it’s a bit challenging to fit in those spots.

UPDATED REVIEW: 07/14/2021There are no more beach front tent sites. Where were not informed that the beach front site we reserved a year in advance was no longer a beach site. We were also charged with out our permission(a couple days before our trip they email me and stated that they were going to charge the card on file the morning of our trip. I called to inform them that we would be using a different card as the card they have on file was from last year but they didn’t answer and didn’t return my calls. Luckily we had money on that card. When I mentioned the situation the front desk said that he had to step away for his new puppy... and that’s why we couldn’t get ahold of the office) it was ridiculous. Total lack of professionalism and empathy. Each year the sites have gotten smaller and smaller and the price has only gone up. It does not make sense. The campsite staff said that they had to pull the campsites inward due to being over the state line, which I understand. However they very poorly executed the remodel of the tent beach sites. If you are to reserve now, they are all super close to each other with no privacy. This year we had to walk THROUGH someone site to get to ours. It made for a super uncomfortable experience. There is barely enough room for the fire pits they have and once you put your tent up you’re so close to the fire it’s a hazard! And forget about bringing two tents! It is very disheartening for me and my family as we have been coming to this resort for 10+ years and no will no longer be returning. It breaks my heart to not return but with the unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and lack of an actual beach front sites with space. I really do hope that they resolve these issues so that my family can return in the future.Old review:I have been going here for 10+ years. Would recommend to anyone. It never lets you down. Best camping spots on the coast. I eagerly await each camping season, so I can come back here, home. Restrooms are always in good shape. Through the years they have only improved everything. For example the showers use to be paid by quarters and now it’s free when you rent your site. I love not having the hassle of remembering and getting a bunch of quarters for our stay. The office has pretty much whatever you would need camping wise and cute merch! Can’t wait to buy a hoddie this year. Thank you to oceanside for being a wonderful place to escape. I don’t know what I would do if you were to close.

My husband and I stayed here in March of last year during our honeymoon, and it was wonderful. We camped in a sandy spot practically on the beach, and we were the only people tent camping at the time, so it was very private and relaxing. Although it rained heavily for a couple of the days we were there, we really enjoyed our time. The staff was also very kind, and when they heard about our tent flooding in the rain, they offered us plenty of towels to help dry our situation out a bit. The camping was amazing for the price. The beach is private and beautiful, with some tide pools and a cave to explore, and theres plenty of beach to comb. We loved our stay, and would love to return one day. Although we didnt stay in the cabins, they look very inviting and cozy, so perhaps well try them out whenever were back in the area.

My husband and I made reservations months in advance. The day of Gloria called and notified us that we would be moved to a different spot due to construction... which is fine and understandable. However, when we arrived there was massive construction going on which as you can imagine is not relaxing or peaceful. In addition they wanted to charge us extra funds for having a cargo trailer if we were to detach from our vehicle and head into town to get away from the noise of the construction.I called her after one night stay to ask if we could be refunded for one night even though we would leave two nights early and she was very adamant about not working with us and there were no exceptions even with the circumstances of the instruction.Extremely disappointing! Never have I experienced service like this anywhere with all my years of traveling in our camper. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

The RV sites were nice and spaced pretty well apart. They offered tent camping and cabins. Right off the beach with easy access. The beach was very spacious, private and beautiful. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Great place to stay!

Awesome awesome awesome place to stay and enjoy the coast. Very well maintained by staff and many things to do in the area. Right next to the beach and its beautiful views. The only downside (if there can possibly be one at the beach) is the distance to the public restroom and showers, would be nice to have one closer on the beach side. But I didnt care, I was at the beach!
