Dr was very forceful grabbing me hard and yanking my arm and getting very mad at me because i have a bracelet on and he threw a fit because it was in the way i moved it over and he told me “get out or take it off” TERRIBLE PLACE.

By far the WORST experience weve had at a dental clinic and we didnt even get far enough into the process to have any work done. We had to walk out because of the horrendous attitude of the front desk woman. My daughter did see the Dr who put on a 20 minute video from the 1990s about consent and sent her out and said, go make another appt. Unprofessional, unorganized and appears unsanitary. I believe this clinic takes advantage of the fact that most patients are on medical assistance and dont have much choice of who will see them. Ive now read through the reviews I am SO thankful we walked out!! I pray they are investigated. They should not be operating. I will say that the Drs assistant was nice. She deserves to work at a decent practice. This place was shocking in the worst way possible.

This was the most comfortable and easy experience i ever thought i would have for removing molars and two other teeth. Ive always hesitated on the idea of getting teeth pulled because of the pain but this was the most painless procedure i have been through. He was very quick and concise removing my teeth . Even after the anesthesia i didnt feel pain from it wearing off. Just a slight tender feeling. I would highly recommend dr el Deeb!

Never even went here, but after calling and reading reviews i’m glad i didn’t. So first of I have MA insurance so finding a place to get my wisdom teeth out is difficult. But, I was referred this place by my dentist so i called and just from the phone call i could tell this place was off. The doctor was SO rude and made me feel extremely rushed to make an appointment asap. I asked one simple question and he went OFF on me. After getting off the phone call, my gut was telling me not to go here. I started reading reviews and i’m sure glad i did not book my appointment. HORROR stories from this place!

Worst experience ever. Their employees are very rude along with the Doctor. They rushed my wisdom extractions, both sessions, because I was the last patient of the day. When I went in for my second session, I expressed concerns/pain/discomfort about their previous work after the first session but the Doctor did not care to listen. Couple of months after, I had an infection on the area where I had my wisdom extracted the first session. I went to a different place and they found left over pieces inside my gum. HORRIBLE. I do not recommend this place.

Most horrible “dentist office” I’ve ever walked into my entire life and extremely unprofessional. First, when I made my appointment to be seen for wisdom tooth extraction consultation they told me it would be a $25 co pay, which was cool with me. And then I sat for 40 minutes in the lobby until the receptionist had brought me back into the most outdated dentist room I’ve ever seen and told me to wait for the doctor. After about 10 minutes go by the doctor comes in, sits down and asked me what I’m even doing there?! I should’ve left the second those words came out of his mouth. He then just started throwing paperwork at me telling me to sign sign sign everything, and asked me how old I was about 1000 times... probably just so they could rob me of my money after not telling me ONE thing about my wisdom tooth extraction and having me sign all these papers he tells me I don’t have any insurance coverage - WHICH I DO. I was told it would be $125 now rather than $25!! I was literally so confused and he was yelling at me that my insurance isn’t valid because it the new year, but my card is up to date so that made no sense to me. I was honestly so terrified at this point so I just paid the $125 to simply sit in a dental chair, sign papers I had no clue what they were talking about or what I was signing I was just so scared I did what he told me to and left crying. I would give this place negative stars if possible!!! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and I’m pretty positive all of his plaques on the wall are fake

Amazing staff, very friendly and they really are the best at comforting you if you are nervous. All his awards speak for them themselves. He truly is the best couldn’t have had a smoother surgery! The staff here is friendly and polite but Dr. El Deeb was very rude to me in our first consultation and during my wisdom teeth removal. I complained of pain when he was cutting a wisdom tooth in half, he told me if I didnt stop whining he would just leave my tooth in there or charge me out of pocket $1,600 (not covered by insurance he said) put me out for surgery. 5 days after removal of wisdom teeth I called him to tell him I was in pain. He said if I wasnt a smoker then I wouldnt have dry socket and said it was normal. On the 6th day, I was in extreme pain, I called him again. He said office was closed but that I could come in at 11:30am. I got a ride there at 11:15am but office was closed. When I called him he played it off like I was supposed to be there at 11am and when I didnt show he left. I had to pay another dentist to handle my pain. I had 2 dry sockets. I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth taken out and they became impacted. I went into Northside MN Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons for a consultation and they quickly x-rayed my teeth and got me in the following week for my surgery. Marwa was very sweet and answered all my questions. The staff was very kind and helped me calm down since I was nervous before the surgery. During the removal, Dr. El Deeb listened to me when I started feeling pain and quickly got the wisdom teeth out. He gave me clear instructions for after the surgery. Later that day he called me to check in and see if I had any more questions. Anytime I had a question I called and got a answer straight from Dr. El Deeb. I went in today for my 1 week follow up and was quickly seen and out the door. Over all good experience with something I had been very anxious to have done. Dr El Deeb definitely is very knowledgeable and prioritizes the patient.

Staff was incredibly rude to us, and especially some folks of color waiting with us. These folks were clearly struggling to communicate in English, and the staff were treating them with sub-human behavior because of it. Not to mention that the doctor removed 3 of their sons wisdom teeth without telling them that it would cost $1800. Be ware.-Thankfully we did not have a procedure done here. At our consultation we were quoted a $750 cost for anesthesia because the bill at a flat rate for wisdom teeth removal. But when we came in today, we were told that all of the insurance forms they submitted before the end of the year (8 days ago) were denied, and it was their first office day back, so they just realized it. Because of this, our price would also be $1800, and we had a a 50/50 chance that insurance would refund anything. We chose to leave.-I hate to say it, but the bargaining and manipulative behavior reminded me of a marketplace in a third world country. This is not the place to go for dental care. Be ware.

Worse customer service I’ve ever experienced mind you I’ve worked at several dental clinics & know the difference between good & bad service. Waited 30 minutes to get checked in. Our appointment was at 11am, didn’t go in until an hour after.Receptionist/assistant came through the doors fully gloved & masked, touching door knobs, papers, grabbed her phone and went right back through the door to the operation rooms. Who knows how they keep up with sanitation. My dental clinics would never tolerate that. When we checked in they made us pay $780 and didn’t even give us a detail receipt of what we are paying for. How is it that they managed to decorate this whole clinic with various “top dentist” awards but your service is incredibly horrible.

DO NOT GO THERE! I would give zero stars if that were an option!I had an appt scheduled for 2 weeks, I live all the way in st cloud so it was an hour drive one way. My fiance had to take off work to watch our daughter, which right now during covid put even more strain on us. I called to confirm the appt last week even. So when I show up at 9am, the lights are off door is locked, I go next door and they say oh, they usually get there at 8am, they must be on vacation or something I am blown away. I waited and waited and called, without success. So now its 1 pm and I thought Id give them a call to see what happened, and he answered! So first, Im like why didnt you return any of my voicemails from this morning? But then he gives me a run around like oh idk what happened, we were there etc! No were not, now youre calling me a liar? I have never had an experience of such unprofessionalism and disregard. He was not apologetic what-so-ever, which wouldnt have changed anything but at least an apology wouldve been something! Like taken the sting out of it like we all make mistakes, but nope. Then hes like well Im here now! You want to come in now? Are you kidding me? As Ive explained to him multiple times previously, my fiance taking time off work is a big deal idk when well be able to get this done now, but it definitely wont be with his establishment. Also side note, is it just me or is it strange that hes charging $25 out of pocket to cover costs of PPE? Masks, gowns etc? Isnt that part of your normal budget why are you charging your patients extra to cover your PPE costs?Ive never ever taken the time to review, but thats how bad this is...

If I could rate lower than zero stars, I would. The staff were rude, showed up to the office 15 minutes after opening time is scheduled, started the procedure 45 minutes after it was supposed to begin, and then he got more strange and cruel. I saw him put on a pair of gloves from a box marked latex and I reminded him latex allergy is on my chart. He said, Its not going to touch your skin. It doesnt matter if I use them. I explained that even without touching my skin he would be working close to my mouth (and in it) and that it could activate the allergy. He took of the gloves, threw them down, grabbed my chart and threw it at me, and then told me to get out and not come back. I had already heard people crying out loudly in pain during my consultation, but he was one of the only dentists my insurance would cover. I set up an appointment with another clinic instead even with it being in Bloomington. Id rather go out of my way for good care then ever darken Dr. Deebs door again. He clearly needs some kind of professional help.

Going here was an unnerving experience. I do not trust the system that is in place here. I am on MA, so this is where I was referred to go. Finding a dentist who will take you is very difficult on MA.Important takeaways: The bartering that the dentist did with me made me feel uncomfortable. That they had over a month to call me to update me on whether my insurance came through for my surgery or not and didn’t felt awful. My wife and I had both blocked off this day so that I could be transported for the surgery, so the day felt like an unnecessary waste of our time. I had abstained from food for 8 hours for nothing. Awful communication and disinterested receptionist staff.I went in for a consultation Nov 26th, watched an informed consent video (which made me feel more trusting), and was told my insurance would cover the extractions, and all I would have to pay was the $750 for anesthesia because insurance usually didn’t cover that. I was told I would need to have cash or cashiers check upfront for that amount. I scheduled with the receptionist for an appointment on January 8th.Day of the surgery we arrive with $750 cashiers check (which is not an easy bullet to bite as a low income young adult with a wife and baby), but the receptionist was unaware of the appointment. After waiting 20 minutes, I was called back to one of the dental rooms. I was told that a ton of people’s insurance was denied, that anesthesia typically costs $350 per 15 minutes, so the $750 rate for anesthesia was “a deal”, and that they would refile with insurance but there was a 50/50 chance of it still being denied. I was then offered to have them do the whole service for $1800 and have it filled as an “emergency” in hopes that insurance would retroactively cover some of it, but that it was still unlikely that they would. I told them I wanted to leave. They promised that they would call me within 3 or 4 weeks if my insurance came through or was denied. But that hadn’t done that for me last time? I will be looking into other options.

After the ER told my wife that she had a jaw infection that could kill her, we went here as it was the only place available right away. Half of reception was very nice, the other half yelled at us in the waiting room because the hospital didnt email them the xrays. While sitting in the chair after the exam, the Dr. Haggled us on price for about 45 minutes. We were terrified that we didnt have enough money to make sure she didnt die, and he haggled us into a spot where every price he gave us was more than what our dental insurance had already negotiated with him. He lied to us saying that anesthesia would be $1500, but if we didnt report it to the insurance company he could do it for $1000 because he liked us. My insurance company had already negotiated $838. He did this with a bunch of other costs too. Lastly he said if we couldnt come up with $800 up front then we had to leave. We have a $50 dental co-pay. He then also made us sign a contract saying that we would give him another $400 in a month, and $400 more the next month. After the surgery, he tacked on another $750, but knocked it down to $450 because he liked us. I just talked to my insurance company and they have no idea what is going on because they never submitted the claim. None of those prices are even close to accurate, and we shouldnt have paid that much up front. It should have gone to them first, but instead they dragged every dime of saving out of a couple of people who were terrified.

I went here to have my wisdom teeth removed. I had so many issues here, but ill only discuss my surgery day to keep this from being a novel! I had to be dropped off because of the anesthesia I wasnt allowed to drive after. Three hours after my scheduled time Im still sitting in the waiting room. They later said that there were complications with the previous surgery which is fine, but no one relayed any message to me about this, which would have been nice to know considering I had to make arrangements for a ride home. They also scheduled someone else to have their wisdom tooth surgery at the same time as me.. There was only one surgeon and they double booked the time slot. I know this because I spoke to the woman in the waiting room. I finally get called back and sit in the room where they were going to do my surgery and waited for another 45 minutes. The girl that was assisting was extremely nice and I wish I could remember her name because that was the only good experience I had here. Finally, after my surgery was done they brought me to the back where they monitor you for a little bit. When i got the OK to leave someone walked me up front, but instead of walking me to the door they walked me behind the counter where the receptionists are and had me sit down at the computer to write a google review for them! Are you kidding me?! Besides that being unprofessional I was sitting behind a desk with a ton of confidential information right in front of me. I said I wouldnt do the review and I left. My soon to be husband, who is a police officer took me this morning and although after having to wait more then an hour to see the Dr (which was frustrating) he informed me that he really liked the doctor and knew he was gonna take care of me, and as a LEO working in our capital city on the streets, he is a great judge of character.... and after reading mixed reviews I have to say I was very nervous, but my husband is a great judge of character and he was right! Dr. el Deeb took great care of me and the procedure literally took five minutes. I had the nitrous gas because I don’t like to be sedated but I still have some nerves during dental work. Once I was numbed up, he started the procedure and he makes it very clear that I will feel lots of pressure but not pain. He also makes sure it very clear that if he can’t numb a patient up properly then they will have to be sedated or seen by another surgeon because he refuses to do dental work that’s painful on his patients. He started the procedure and unfortunately, I felt definitely more then just pressure, so I stopped him and he gave me three more shots then after about five minutes he started again and I had absolutely no pain, it was minimal pressure and literally my huge diseased molar was out in less then two minutes then it took another two minutes to stitch me up. Jessica (who is awesome and very friendly and helpful) turned off the gas and made me breathe in pure oxygen until my hands weren’t tingly anymore (a sign of the Nitrous being out of my system) Dr. el Deeb proceeded to get my fiancé from the waiting room and brought him back to me in the procedure room and explained my aftercare instructions clearly to him and myself (even tho I wasn’t sedated my husband still was gonna take care of me and knew I would be on narcotics later and he takes great care of me and wants to be informed of everything involving my care) explained my prescriptions and we were out the door. Super Easy! Now 8 hours later the Novocaine has obviously worn off and although I am taking Motrin 800mg and Tylenol 3’s, I am have ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN!!! I have had two other extractions in my life on my upper molars two years ago from another MUCH more expensive oral surgeon in Coon Rapids and I had major pain and swelling for weeks! He must have a magic touch because I am not even sore! I wasn’t asked to write a review like some of the other patients stating such things, but I wanted to write a review for the people that may be hesitant on coming in because of other reviews, I have nothing but good things to say and had a wonderful experience in his office considering I was getting a nasty tooth pulled!

Dentist was rude. Put his hands in my mothers mouth then proceeded to touch things in the room including the door handle to get out of the room with the same gloves on. This place is out dated. Not really sure how he has earned all the plaques hanging around the office.

My experience with this dental office was less than positive. Well, the staff was very polite and nice, the Dr, not so much. As soon as I walked in it was very dubious. Dr. El Deeb was not friendly at all. The day before my visit I was in a different clinic and that Dr. was careful not to touch my teeth or careful with my jaw because the severity of my infection. Dr. El Deeb was rude and rough when he grabbed my jaw and when I exhaled in pain he said Theres no need for that. He applied novocane to my mouth at 9:40 and did not come back into the room until 10:30. When he tried to extract my teeth I could not handle the pain anymore and the first thing he says is Theres nothing I can do for you, I can put you under but that would cost $500 I felt that he was treating me different because I was on Medical Assistance. This is the first time at the Dentist that I have ever felt scared and honestly, the first Dentist that I have ever experienced pain with. He was mean and hate this place. Dont go here, I think these positive comments are BS.

We had a horrible experience!!! This guy was extremely unprofessional and just plain mean! This dentist answers his own phone for some reason and he told us one thing over the phone and then wasnt honoring his statements when we arrived. There was a big debacle with the xrays and they wouldnt tell me whether they had them or not, so he claimed that if they didnt have them they would take one for free. When we got there he wouldnt even listen to me about what he had said,he wouldnt even let me say it he just kept talking over me when I tried to tell him what he told me the day before on the phone. He spent the entire appointment lecturing me and my daughter and talking over us when he disagreed with what we had to say, he acutally told us that what we had to say didnt matter. Not to mention a ridiculous wait time. It is clear that the only reason people go to this guy is because he is one of the VERY FEW oral surgeons that accepts MA. That is why we went,we have both private insurance and MA, never would have bothered with this place if not and now that we have experienced it, we will never return. I feel sorry for those who dont have a choice! After treatment he has his many of his clients put in front of a computer to write a review and monitors them while they write under duress. Disgusting and disturbing practices!

First of all, i live in mankato & they made me drive 2 1/2 hours to tell me they dont know if im approved for the surgery through my insurance yet. I took off work & so did my grandfather! Waste of a drive. When i went back for the surgery 3 weeks later again & they put me under & did the surgey. Everything was fine but after the fact when i was still loopy from the anesthesia they tried to make me do a review! So unprofessional to do that but all else the surgey went fine & next day feel a little pain but its tolerable.

1st of all i have to put a star to leave my comment, but if i had a choice I would block their website so No one could come here... I have ma and had the worst pain of my life from 11-2-17 throughout the weekend... if you have ma you know how hard it is to find someone to accept it for an emergency oral surgery!! Well being in the pain I was in and how desperate I was to relieve it I had found this place and the dr.deeb seemed very eager to help me!! I showed up at 10 am 11-6-17 waiting for my insurance to approved the emergency extract tooth they finally accepted it around 12pm, but I was going to need to be put under anesthetics for this kind of procedure as well as 500$ for the anesthetics and 250$ for the tooth, as well as a s3cond driver of cours3 because I was going to be unable to drive!! Well I waited an additional 45 before my fiance came with payment and to be my second driver!!! At 1pm I was finally being put under and the procedure only took 10 minutes... I dont remember anything from 1pm 11-6-17 until 8 am 11-7-17, now its 11-8-17 at 9am to come get my car and they are saying they had it towed because it had been there since 11-3-17!!! Very rude and unprofessional, so now 750$ later I look like Frankenstein I am in more pain than I was before, 10 stitches later and narcotics I can finally drive and my car has been towed... oh but its only 250$ to get it back and a 45 minute drive to find it!!! Wtfrank really how are you going to charge someone 750$, tell them they cant drive and then when they can you say i didnt know you drove separate, I didnt know you waited a while day... like really why play dumb and then to tell me its been here since friday... I didnt even call and make this appointment until Monday!!! Wow thats pretty much all I can say right now... if I could upload a picture if before and after I would its horrible!!!!

My complaint is valid. I did not make it past my experience with reception. The severe problem with Northside Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons relates to poor HIPPA practices (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). The waiting room/reception area is very small; so anything being discussed at the desk is heard by all in the room, even without trying to listen. After checking in, I took a seat and proceeded to listen to the receptionist talk to various insurance companies about clients. Names, account numbers, date of birth, etc., were all discussed in conversational tone for everyone in the room to hear, I was very annoyed, but was just going to deal with it and wait my turn to see a provider.I was called back to the desk to give my wifes SSN. I grimaced then looked behind me to indicate, through my body language, my concern for information security, but the receptionist was unconcerned and appeared annoyed with my concerns. I said I was uncomfortable saying it aloud, perhaps hoping she would hand me a paper and pen to write it down on (a bad practice also, if thrown in a trash can). The receptionist didnt even lean forward a bit so that I could say it softly. I was just supposed to belt it out and hush up. I can not stress how quiet and small this room is, and now there were 6 bored people watching me talk, because they could sense that things were getting exciting.During all of this, I am surveying the receptionists work space--it was textbook, worse case HIPPA scenario--could have been used as a training video of what not-to-do. There were photocopied pictures of client’s driver’s licenses and insurance cards spread all over the receptionist’s work-station. You could see that it was not an instance of just at that one moment, because there were piles of papers and manilla envelopes and folders stacked around her computer...this was obviously a chronic condition. My concerns for privacy were treated with disdain. I did not point to her desk and say, look at this! but I did try to explain that she was not following best-practices and protocols for Personally identifiable information (PII), and yes, I was getting heated. My points were not being agreed with, instead I was being put on the sir, you need to calm down shelf, and once it goes there, it becomes about the receptionists ego being bruised, and not about the subject at hand.We are at a medical office and these are social security numbers and DOBs; we are not at a restaurant where I am being a fussy customer complaining that my steak was cooked medium instead of medium-rare. Even in a scenario where the client is rude, it still does not trump HIPPA concerns. This is a severe problem at this office. The surgeons and their skills may be just fine, but I left and never found out. HIPAA violations are not only damaging to clients (should be first priority), they are also expensive for the provider. The penalties for HIPPA noncompliance are based on the level of negligence and can range from $100 to $50,000 per violation (or per record), with a maximum penalty of $1.5 million per year for violations of an identical provision. This office is a buffet of violations.
