Dentists are great. The receptionists on the other hand,hardly ever answer the phone. Would be nice to get threw especially when your with the specialist when needing answers .

Linh is the best, she took care of me and made me feel very comfortable and reassured. She was patient when I had questions. She took her time and explained things thoroughly. She went above and beyond when it came to cleanliness and assured me she was a very clean lady at home and at work on top of the fact that the office has specific cleanliness procedures.

This corporation does not believe in customer satisfaction at all. They produce a bad product and expect you to pay for any and all of their attempts to improve their poor workmanship.

They never pick up their calls and their website does not allow any online scheduling. I understand that youre understaffed but Ive called at different times throughout the day and have reached no one.

Linh the hygienist did a very thorough cleaning on my teeth I really like this location. I have scheduled another appointment to have some filling work done. And I feel that I will be in very capable hands.

I used to be afraid of the dentist until I met with Linh RDH. She is so caring and makes me comfortable enough not to be afraid.She takes extra good care of cleaning my teeth.I am thankful to have found her.

Kristen/Kirsten? She was amazing. Best cleaning ive ever had, she truly was gentle. If I had to choose a dental hygienist to go to for the rest of my life, it would be her. If youve ever had a bad cleaning, got cut and bled alot, or just had alot of pain because people were rushing, have Kristen do your cleaning, itll be life changing in regards to going to the dentist.

They need a full hour to do two minor fillings and was 12 min late drove an hour stuck in traffic gps took me wrong way. And got denied service! it does not take an hour to do two very minor fillings!

Went in to get a filling done. Next day I’m in excruciating pain have a fever and feel awful! Had another appointment went in and let them know what was going on they looked and told me that my tooth is cracked from the filling they put in and tell me they can fix it for 2000 dollars out of pocket or they can remove it. Now I have to have my tooth removed because insurance won’t cover for them to fix their mess.This has caused me tremendous fear of going to the dentist. I’ve taken care of my teeth for so long just to have them break it and not fix it and according to them my symptoms are unrelated and to go get tested for COVID?! Well I tell you what if I got COVID it won’t be from no where else but this place because I’ve been quarantined at home not to mention if I ever leave my house it’s only for appointments, I have not been sick until this happened! The audacity!

I had my cleaning and filling done for more than 3 years. I had a filling fell out. I went there to redo the filling. The dentist suggested to do the white filling instead of silver. I asked for the extra cost. The assistance told me it would be $70 or $80. After a few week, I received a bill of $270. I called the billing department to check if they made a mistake. I was told that was an estimate and an estimate would be different to the billing. Even I told them that I understand the price would be different but it was from $80 to $270. It is $190 gap and my case wasnt that complicated. It was just a refill. I am just so disappointed. I suggest people not have serious problem to be done at this place if you dont want to burn your wallet.

I highly recommend this place! I have had nothing but the upmost respect and high quality care from ALL staff. They have patience and work wonderfully with my kids who have anxiety issues and one who is on the spectrum. They let all of us know what they are going to do before they do it vs. while they do it or not at all(had this issue with previous dental offices). We’ve been going here for years, and will continue for years to come. Thank you for all that you do for my family and I. We appreciate each and every one of you and all that you do!

This place has exceptional care. I will not see anyone else beside Rami the hygienist. I have seen my fair share of hygienist and by far he is the best i have seen. I hope with this pandemic, I get to see him soon. I would recommend Rami and this clinic to anyone.

I love the Coon Rapids office and everyone there. I had all my top teeth removed in November 18 and even though it took 5 months to get them, my denture fits like a glove and for the first time in my life a random stranger told me I have an amazing smile. Thank you so much for sending my confidence through the roof and giving me this amazing smile! I cannot recommend them enough!

They don’t call it gentle dentistry for no reason! The dentist I had was so gentle, caring, talked me through the process of what he was doing, he actually cared about how I felt! All the other workers there were also very kind and sweet and answered all the questions I had and were very patient with me! I had a horrible experience the week before at a different dentist who worked on a tooth that shouldn’t have been done and also told me I needed a root canal on another tooth that I had no issues with and I had an extraction scheduled with the other dentist but I just had a feeling that I shouldn’t do it and found gentle dentistry and they got me in an hour after I called and sure enough I didn’t need a root canal! He was able to save my tooth from being pulled and got it fixed the SAME DAY! He did an AWESOME job I didn’t even feel the Novacaine shot when he gave it to me. The other dentist was super rough and hurt me when he gave the shots and did work to my teeth that didn’t need to be done. I didn’t think I could go back to another dentist after that experience I’m so glad I found gentle dentistry it made my fear of dentists go away! Thank you so much for your awesome work and being so kind!

Dental hygienist, Linh, is amazing! She is very gentle and explains every step she does. As I am someone who does not enjoy going to the dentist, she makes it a quick and easy process. My rating for this location dropped because of the dentist! She has a I dont care attitude and will do things in a rush. When I had a cavity and came in for a filling, she did not give me any heads up when it came to shots. She also did not show me any xrays. I have switched to a new location and it has been a much better experience! Depending on the receptionist, they can be slow at their tasks. I had asked for a scan to be sent to another location. I gave them a week and they still had not done it.

Edit: They pulled all 4 of my wisdom teeth out without putting me under. Never gave me the choice to do it, then the dentist was rude about the pain I was feeling. Extremely unorthodox. Its only six months later that I realize how odd that was. They were terrible at communicating what the procedure was going to be like before-hand. My initial review was a 5/5 because I had a good time dealing with the hygienist before the surgery.

I started going to Gentle Dentistry when I lived in Fridley. I have since moved to West Saint Paul . I still only go to Gentle Dentistry because its so hard to find a dentist I am happy with. I recommended it to my daughter for herself and my grandchildren. They are always on time, friendly and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a root canal done. Left the office with a soft filling and no temporary crown to protect the tooth and filling. Was told to not eat anything sticky, no candy. I have done that, have not chewed on that side, am eating soups and soft sandwiches and the filling has been falling apart since the third day. Upon investigation, a temp filling for a root canal should last 6-8 weeks. Now need to find emergency dentist, as am a truck driver and cannot just show back up in Coon Rapids whenever I want. I like the staff, I just needed this work to last longer than a few days, especially after doing all that was advised to do.

I really enjoy meeting up with my dental hygienist and catching up because she really cares. They are the best not only do you leave with a great smile but client are well informed regarding upcoming procedure and any cost you may have so you can budget for the service.Susan W.

I am not sure why this place got bad reviews. The staff is very friendly. I had Dr.Ho who is awesome. He explained everything he was doing at every step. Constantly checking to see how I was doing. I did not feel any pain during the drilling and filling! Great place. I am going back for all future dental needs.

Awful, awful, awful! My husband wanted a porcelain filling instead of Mercury, which our insurance covers and they told him that our insurance doesnt cover it and it would be $350 for one filling! Ive had porcelain fillings at this office so I know they are covered.I called to question this and they wouldnt even speak to me even with my husband giving a verbal that they could discuss it with me. I work in a doctors office and I know they can accept a verbal. I feel like this is another case of taking advantage of low income families. Just because we are on U care doesnt mean we are uneducated. Everyone should be treated with respect regardless of their financial status.Needless to say, we wont be going back.

I had some dental work done here one of teeth cracked during a procedure . So I went in to see about getting a crown . They skipped right over that and said I needed to have my wisdom teeth pulled out and that it was a reference pain... from the wisdom teeth when the other dentist that I had seen about the cracked tooth said I would need a crown... and kept telling me they were only going to pull my wisdom teeth and not crown the one I had pain in BECAUSE IT WAS CRACKED!!! Don’t bother going here

Had my teeth cleaned there by Rami. Best experience ever!! Didnt think it was possible to have fun getting your teeth cleaned. I can see why its called Gentle Dentistry.

Such kind, helpful, compassionate and understanding dentists and nurses who know EXACTLY what theyre doing. The reception staff was very helpful and professional as well. A far cry from the HORRENDOUS treatment I received by the sad-excuse for a dental institution that is Apple Tree Dental. Its WELL worth it to go down Springbrook just a bit more, youre treated as another person, not a number :)

After my previous dentist retired, I searched for a couple of years and tried other dentists. No office compared to Gentle Dentistry. I am so glad I found them. Dr. Peet and all the staff at Gentle Dentistry live up to its name. Not only do they see to the comfort of the patient but they give them the kind of service they would to a family member. Most recently for me that has been a crown. They told me every step of the way what was being done and why. They offered water if my mouth was dry, had me raise my left hand if I needed a break, did break times so my jaw could relax and had me take a bathroom break while prepping me for the crown. I have complete confidence in them and most emphatically recommend Gentle Dentistry to anyone who is in need of good care of high quality. Thank you.

My husband went into this dental clinic after not seeing a dentist for over 5 years. Not having the best teeth and a broken partial..we left there with a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and caring and had the utmost concern for making him comfortable and relaxed. He has gone through root planing and a new partial on the way. This clinic has a great team of people and Im thinking it starts with the management and the training that this team goes through. Great Job and Thank you for taking care of my husband so he wont wait so long to come back.

Everyone Ive dealt with here has been friendly, informative and treated me better than Ive been treated at any other dental office in my life. Dr. Cheney extracted 4 of my teeth in one sitting, and he was so wonderful I didnt even feel any of the novocain (or lidocaine? idk) shots, which is usually the most painful part for me. He was professional, funny and most importantly he was fantastic at his job. Im so grateful for the entire team at Gentle Dentistry for making it such a positive experience. Thank you guys for being awesome!

Shout out to GD! They were able to get my daughter in, although we were supposed to be at the New Hope location. After I called to let them know that she was only in town a short period of time, ( I cant remember the attendant name who squeezed us in.) Ill have to repost once I find out her name, but she came through, although we had to drive to the Rapids.

So, nobody likes going to the dentist, but you really should go. These guys do a good job of telling you whats going on, and minimizing anxiety and pain. They can be a little busy, so plan on calling ahead for an appointment if you can. The staff has always been good natured and helpful. I have never felt sold to as happens at some other dentists offices.

I have really bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist, and before Gentle, I hadnt been in a dentist in maybe two years because of a traumatic experience. It got so bad, I had panic attacks whenever someone mentioned the dentist. But after coming here for a cleaning, I felt more confidence in myself.Linh Tran is the best! She was so sweet and calmed me down from any impending meltdowns.I have other appointments coming up, Im a little nervous, but I know Im in good hands.

Horrible front desk staff. I need to get xrays sent over and it took them 3 weeks and i had to hold their hand to make sure it was done. For such a small off with usually three people working, i dont see how they are so busy that work slips in the cracks. Then because of their mistake I came in to the office to get sent home and rescheduled TWO TIMES after taking off work and driving over there. And the cleaning was subpar, not to mention the hygenist was ranting the WHOLE time. I get small talk but look lady i dont need to hear your whole life story geezzzz. Im going back to healthpartners, just got in alot sooner here. Now i know why. Go elsewhere !!!

We took our 2 1/2 year old here. Thought she was scared at first the dentist did an amazing job at calming her down. The dentist showed her the tools and even let her play with some of them. Atthe end of the apt, she walked out smiling and fearless. :)

Awesome staff! They make me feel comfortable every time, and I love the whitening for life program.

They are not verbal about the pros and cons of silver fillings. They have mercury, very toxic. They do not explain why white fillings are better. I also asked them to shave off some bumps on the bottom of my front tooth and now it is angled weirdly. Horrible past couple of years with them and now my teeth are ruined for life. They also filled my tooth with so much silver filling that if I ever need it replaced I’ll need to get a crown. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Gave me silver instead of white fillings and then messed up and now I need 3 root canals!!! Dentist was ride and impatient. Never have I had dinner until this place. Now Im forced to eat and drink on one side of my mouth. Also they had my children get their teeth done at the same time so I couldnt be with them 5 and 6. Another dentist came up as my teeth were being done and congratulated me on how will my daughter too all of her fillings with no numbing meds....... I freaked she was telling me about the wrong kid my daughter just had a cleaning.

On January 11, 2019 I had my annual exam. I was advised that I needed some dental work done and Gentle Denistry advised me that they order a pre determination from my insurance company. After waiting for almost 2 weeks for this imformation, I called my insurance company and found out that they never received the pre determination paper work! Called Tiffany at Gentle Denistry and she stated that she had miscoded some info to insurance company?? My insurance company again verified they never received any requests. I am having a hard time believing Tiffany?? If I hadnt called to inquire about this I probably never wouldve heard back from Gentle Denistry!! I wont be going back here!! Gentle Denistry did submit a bill to my insurance company for payment! Interesting that this paperwork got submitted correctly!!

Needed a extraction from a broken tooth ,and wanted tooth added to partial. Instead they wanted to extract all the remaining upper and put in a denture

Tan Dhoopar is the one whom Im reviewing at this particular location. My kids had their very first fillings and were understandably nervous and curious about what was going to happen. Not only did Tan not explain ANYTHING to my kids, she literally had the DH hold the needle over my kids eyes as some sort of tactic to get them to push through without any numbing. This obviously scared my child, who then pushed through the pain. At the end of the procedure on my second child, she announced, And now Mom is going to go buy you toys at Target! I couldnt believe the unprofessionalism and rude behavior. It is completely inappropriate to promise something to someone elses kids. It wasnt funny, it was just rude. I had no qualms with the dental hygenists, they were kid-friendly and understanding. But Tan appears to have no business working with kids. Also, she isnt a DDS. It was unprofessional for Gentle Dentistry to not even inform us of this when we were assigned to her. We will never return to this place of business, and I hope they do some serious in-house training. I would appreciate more transparency as a whole from the organization as well as professionals who respect children and want to give them a positive experience.

Horrible, horrible lack of respect for patients by dentist here! The female dentist I saw today was extremely unprofessional and honestly treated me like a child. She didnt respect my decision to decline treatment on one of the procedures they wanted to do. Tried to be very pushy with me. She needs to #1 get an education on human anatomy and #2 learn professionalism. She was literally yelling at me, wouldnt let it go either because she didnt numb me enough and my body jerked (human anatomy- natural reaction) when she was drilling and hit a nerve. She went on and on about it, telling me not to do that? Like it was on purpose! So extremely unprofessional, then proceeded to speak about the incident with her assisant, right in front of me when I was in the chair, like I wasnt even there! She really treated me like I wasnt even a human being. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. The receptionists were great, very friendly and helpful! Maybe they should teach this female dentist some manners and professionalism! We will never be back!!

My husband does like this dentist. they do great work. But feels like they push cleanings on patients too hard. From a customer standpoint, it feels like they are trying real hard to keep thier denal hygienist in work. My husbans last cleaning was very painfull, and cant take regular pain meds ( ulcers, alt liver enzymes risen). So he was in pain for 2 days after. I dont understand why the cant diagnose, without a cleaning? Just brush teeth, rinse, and diagnose. He had to schedule a cleaning, I just hope they less abrasive this time around.

Horrible customer service by the dentist. My 4yr old son cracked his tooth that apparently had a cavity. We call and make an emergency visit for the next day. We get there, great CS by the staff. We have a new nurse who tries to xray my son. My son also had a cold and xrays were not going to happen because my son kept gagging. So the male asian dentist comes in for 2 mins tops. I can tell hes not happy there are no xrays. He says my son needs a baby root canal and to make appointment. I couldnt believe it. My son has been crying for a couple of days and we have to wait now for next appt. So we make appt for my son 2 days later. On route, on the morning of, dental office calls us and tell us they have to refer us a pediatric dentist. Like i said, customer service by the dentist, not staff is horrible. We will never return.

If I could give them 0 Stars I would theres been two different occasions that I have been treated extremely rude the first was I scheduled an appointment to have a tooth repaired because I was in a lot of pain when I showed up to my appointment the lady informs me that it was for a tooth cleaning thats what they scheduled me for and I made sure that I told them on the phone when I set the appointment that I need an appointment to have a tooth fixed the lady at the front desk told me there was nothing they could do for me and that I needed to reschedule an appointment on a different date in mind you this was over New Years Eve weekend the second occasion was today I called in this morning at 7 AM and asked to get an appointment to have one of my teeth fixed the lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude to me telling me that it had been over a year since I had been in treating me like I was a child and scolding me she then told me that she could schedule me a block of time but all her dentist for booked so she scheduled me in to get seen and she said that they might be able to get to do my teeth if the doctor has a cancellation after my appointment therefore this appointment was set for 1:20 I called the lady on my way to the appointment and she told me that they would not have time to fix it
