We met Mike when our son was attending TTU. Benjamin got his haircut there so his dad did the same. Every time we came to Cookeville my husband got his haircut with Mike. Even after his graduation from TTU we would swing by to let Mike cut Randy’s hair. We think the world of Mike. Not sure when we will be traveling his way but be certain, we will go see Mike.

Took my 10 yr old nephew in for a “real barbershop” experience. Michael was attentive, patient & took great care of my nephew & gave him a great cut. He was ecstatic with the cut & I’m glad we have found a true barber for his future needs.

Mike is always the prefect gentleman with my great nephew. Mike is excellent at what he does and I wouldnt take Tayden anywhere else.

I moved to Cookeville in May 2012. After going to a couple of the chain places I thought I would look for someone else. I came from Jackie’s chair in Smithville and thought I’d look for a gentleman barber 💈 in Cookeville. I found Michael and went to see him, what I found was barber therapy! It’s one of my favorite chairs to sit in anywhere! Not just barber chairs! Great haircut and massage for a great price. Get a great cut on purpose at Gentleman Barber!

Solid fade with a classic combover. Michael does great work! The place is very chill and he is super easy to talk to. This is quality service! Hard to find these days. I will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back. 10/10, highly recommend! Wish this shop was back in my home town. I’d come here every week. Oh, and he sells home-made coffee mugs and other pottery items. Those are pretty awesome, too!

Mike provides a tailor made experience and haircut designed just for you. It was my first time going to a new barber in a long time, but Mike is kind and definitely knows what hes doing. Will for sure be going back.

Great experience. Lived in Cookeville for around 6 years and have been to pretty much all the barber shops to find the one that is best and I finally have. He will be the barber I got to for now on. Gives you a good neck massage right before he finishes. Great guy and great atmosphere and did my hair exactly how I wanted it. Mike will forever have my business.10/10

The owner/barber here is top notch. Hes very friendly, very professional, and is brilliant with the shears. If you arent sure what you want, he will talk with you to get an idea of the look you want and I have never felt rushed in making a decision. A big plus: he will use a straight razor on the back of your neck to give you a super clean look. I would and have recommended him to anyone.

This gentleman handles hair styles for men. No women, but its nice to go somewhere with a rustic touch that focuses on beards and mens hair styles. Included is a hot towel and a straight razor, back rub while the hot towel works, and a trim of the lip and brows. Very quick service. He is friendly but also understands not all men what that idle chitchat. Prices are well placed for what you get. I think a haircut and all the above is just 15$ and I always just drop a 20$ down and call it a day.I only mark it a 4 because the wait can be a while ( not the end of the world ) but more so he only accepts cash.In the end I recommend this shop to others.

Alright, I’ve lived in Cookeville since August 2017. Since I’ve lived here, every haircut I’ve gotten, I’ve driven back to my hometown to get. Today I decided to find somewhere new, and I found Gentlemen’s Barber. I was kinda nervous at first because I’ve gotten my haircut at the same place for the previous four years, but this dude is amazing. You walk in, take a seat, listen to some tunes. It may take a minute for him to get to you, but once he starts on your hair, you realize Michael knows what he’s doing. He gave me probably the best cut I’ve ever had and then helped he me find a new product to go with it. 10/10 will come again. 10/10 recommend to anyone out there that is cautious about who cuts their hair. He’s been in the business for 16 years and his skill proves it.
