First of all, CAR FIX was the only mechanic I could find that could fit me in just to balance and align my tires the same week that I called them. Most others were booked out for weeks in advance. Second of all, they gave me a car to use for the two days they had my car in the shop. Third of all, they wanted to take care of me and my car without selling me their services like salesmen. Fourth of all, they have this system where they take pictures of your car and the items on the service list and then they send you these pictures in real time. I was able to see how *horrible* my air filter, cabin filter, etc. really were. Even though those items werent originally on my to do list, I went ahead and had some of them taken care of because I could see it was an immediate need. It was also a comfort to know that they werent just saying something needed to be fixed when it really didnt. Their prices are fair and their team is professional and personable. As far as Im concerned, I will use them as my primary mechanic from now on. Thank you, Car Fix! Your level of excellence and professionalism is refreshing. 10 out of 10 in my book. 🙌🏻

My mother was visiting from NC and her car broke down. Car Fix sent a tow truck to pick it up, towed it back to their lot and had it repaired quickly. After she picked it up, she drove 7 hrs home the next day with no issues at all! We were very pleased.

The most honest place I have been to in a long time. They saved me hundreds of dollars a few other tire repair places in cookeville were trying to charge me for repairs to my tire valves. They charged me $38 dollars and I dont think they even realize just how much this really meant to me and my daughter. They were all so nice and got me in there quickly and I just cant say enough about this amazing place. Thank you all again.

I called to get two tires put onto my truck. I was told that they didn’t my size in stock and would have to be ordered. It was quoted to be in store in two days. I was surprised the very next day that the tires were already in place with a call from Tyler. Tires are on the truck faster than expected and I couldn’t be more pleased.

After being quoted $688-$996 from other shops for an alternator replacement, I called CAR FIX. They had my car fixed as soon as I was able to get the part I needed for significantly less than other shops quotes. Great work, great prices, even better people.

I took my car here for simply an oil change with free inspection. The oil change was a good deal so I cant complain there, but after the inspection the man at the desk claimed I needed to replace my serpentine belt. I had it replaced only three months ago. The man at the desk even had the guts to point at imaginary cracks in it. Unfortunately, sleezy mechanics are all too common, so dont bring your car here unless you know what youre in for.

Tyler made everything easy. Got my car in even on days they were super busy just to make sure I was back on the road as fast as possible. Would always give me multiple options on whatever I was dealing with instead of telling me what they were gonna do I was always asked first and not forced into anything. 10/10 recommend their services and 10/10 recommend y’all go see Tyler!

These guys did a great job. Loved that they were in constant communication about my truck. They let me know every step of the process how it was going and if there were any hiccups. Tyler was very nice and informative. He even sent me pictures of what was broken on my truck to show me the condition.

I dropped my Jeep off around 11, and they said they would get to it by the end of the day. Around 5:30, Tyler called me informing me that they had fallen behind due to unforeseen mechanical issues with another vehicle and my car wouldnt be done that day. They offered to pick my car up from where I worked the next day, but since I work in Livingston that wasnt possible. When I showed back up to get my car, they apologized profusely, and gave me a coupon for a free alignment. I dropped my car off again a couple days later and they aligned the wheels without issue. They were very professional, caring, and apologetic due to the mishap. Tyler was awesome, and I would definitely go back again. Great service, great people. Definitely recommend.

I took my truck to Car Fix for an alignment. They balanced all four tires and aligned the front end. The staff was friendly and helpful and got me in and out in just a short time. The truck was perfect and the price was very reasonable.

Stopped in with a flat tire I just had on the interstate. Was hoping it could be plugged but the representative showed me that the tire couldn’t be plugged. He then informed me he had the tire size I needed and called the fleet service my company uses and had authorization in minutes. The new tire was placed on my car in a short amount of time and I was on my way. I was very satisfied and would recommend this service location to anyone & everyone!!

We took one of our cars to them to just be diagnosed originally. They completely tore down my husbands car trying to find the problem and when they did they were pretty fast about it. We dropped it off at 8am and heard back at 5pm. We decided to let them fix it and it wasnt too badly priced. My husband thought parts were a bit pricey but overall we were really happy with them. We dropped it off on a Wednesday and got it back Friday. That was a great turn around time for the work that was done to it. We will definitely be using them again for anything else we need.

I had my Moms catalytic converter replaced. Then my car had a check engine light come on. They diagnosed the issues gave me estimates. They filed insurance claim and kept me updated on progress. Tyler and Rebekah were the best.

I was very disappointed. When we initially called to check on the services provided, I was told they could check it in immediately. I took it in and it was 3 days later before they told me what was wrong and how much it was going to cost to fix it. I was told it was a seven hour job but it would be 3 more days before they could do the job. After the job was complete, I picked the vehicle back up. All the contents from my glove compartment were still laying in my floorboard and 2 huge bundles of wires were hanging below my steering wheel. With the cost of the job, the fact it took 6 days to do a 7 hour job, the poor craftsmanship and lack of professional detail, I cannot recommend this place and will not be back.

Wouldnt waste your time going there. I went in for a alignment my truck had a small lift. They come out saying all my ball joints was falling apart. Im also a auto tech ,and there wasnt anything wrong with the front end other than the camber was off. I took it to a different shop ,and was good to go in 20 minutes. The ball joints had no issues. There just looking for every option to get your money. I would had did the job myself, but when you work on car all day you dont want to do your own.

Went in for a bad wheel bearing. There was a miscommunication between me and the front desk which led to the wrong bearing being replaced. After realizing what had happened, they replaced the correct one with a new part and didn’t charge for it. Five stars.

They caught a mistake done by previous owner, it could have caused horrible issues for us in the future. They were extremely thorough and punctual in handling my vehicle. My experience was overall smooth and positive. I always put off getting my oil changed because of the inconvenience, but they had courtesy vehicles which made it so much easier to fit into my schedule. I also thought I needed to replace a pump and they were able to fix the issue without doing that, which was great news. They offered a coupon for my transmission flush and fuel to fix a shudder issue and I was very happy with that as well. I am very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them!

Very professional, When my service looked like it would take longer than originally anticipated they offered a loaner vehicle for me to run my errands while they finished up. I originally ordered tires right before the ice storm, they kept me updated frequently on when my ordered tires would arrive due to delivery’s being delayed, due to road conditions and wide spread ice storms. Great staff and courteous overall. Definitely will be going back.

My Wife has lived in Cookeville for over seven years. I have three cars to service. The pricing and service has been less than desirable at my previous servicer. However, recently I was sent a flyer and decided to try this company. They scheduled a time, j went in, service was performed as expected, and issues of concerned were highlighted. In addition the flyer price was fantastic but even better the normal price is way more competitive than what I am currently paying. I will be having all my routine maintenance performed here in the future.

**Edit: New Rating** BETTER (4/19/21)The problem has actually been resolved now. I had contacted the owner to express my feelings about the previous repair and he almost immediately tried to fix things and had me bring in my car again. It was thrououghly examined until one of the transmission mounts was found to be the cause of my problem.It was repaired in a timely manner soon after and my Cavalier sounded like it did when I bought it a few years ago, so its suffice to say I was happy with it.It makes me very happy that they rectified the issue and even ended up waiving the charge for the 2nd repair after I stated I felt I shouldnt need to pay after the first time. No other business does that around here!I think now I would return to this shop with the good will and customer care they showed.**Old Thoughts**I thought this shop was really good until recently. I had my cavalier worked on here for an awful grinding sound coming from my front tires/wheel bearing/whatever the noise was. I got given a price of over $600 and was assured this would fix my problem. When I picked it up the next day, the problem was definitely still there and when I looked at the bill I was charged for other unnecessary for my problem charges like my serpentine belt that I did not know I was paying to get new when I did not ask for or really need at the moment. The worst part is when I picked it up and drove it and obviously still heard the sound and felt it when I drove, I told them this and expressed my disappointment and asked if they would look at it again because they clearly misdiagnosed my issue and charged me for it. I am greatly dissatisfied and do not think I will return unless this issue gets resolved.

Anyway, I hit a huge piece of retread the night before at 70 mph and thought I destroyed the underside and struts, etc. I went to these guys the next morning without an appointment and they took me in right away. I was chasing a long crank issue with my truck for months with another local shop who diagnosed its faults due to low compression and recommend a replacement motor. In typical fashion, I looked for a second opinion from another shop before just replacing a motor that I thought ran too good to be “dead”. I took the truck to Carfix/Cookeville Tire, who immediately jumped into diagnosing the truck and found out that there was a fuel leak at the FPR that was causing the long crank. They called me to review charges and saved me both time and money.Two days later they called to follow up on the truck, and that speaks volumes to me and how a company stands behind their work well enough to call you to make sure it’s still doing good.

I dropped off my durango to fix my brake lights and windows that wouldn roll down and do an alignment. The windows ended up being worse than I thought so I told them not to worry with it, jus fix the brake lights and do the alignment. When I finally got my car back a day after they told me, they didnt even do the alignment and charged me $261. One of the brake lights had a pin bent that they straighten out and put back then the other they changed the brake light connecter. So I got charged $261 for them to changed a brake light.

I went in to have a couple tires changed over. I have had a tire sensor warning for quite a while and have kept 60# air on all four and others have told me that I needed to replace tire sensors. They changed the tires and came and told me the truck recommended 60 in front and 70 in back so they air’ed all four to that. My sensor problem was solved. The guys are very knowledgeable and professional. Very reasonable priced. I will definitely recommend them for any repairs, and will use them in the future.

UPDATE: After leaving a review, carfix reached out to me and I explained in better detail my concerns. Carfix then invited me back to check my headlight issues. They repaired at no charge. Also they brought the price back down to the original estimated price. I must say that they did make the customer happy in this case. And for that I will recommend them to others and up the review scoring. Thank You Carfix!I am not exactly pleased with the service I received from carfix. I had a rack and pinion repair completed on my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado that was supposed to be completed in 1 day and be $1650.00. By the time it was completed, I was without my truck for 4 days and ended costing closer to $2,000.00. I got my truck back and had a headlight out and just figured the bulb needed to be replaced, when I finally got a day off to replace the bulb the headlight is not working at all. Now I have to take it to yet another shop to see what is going on. I can not say I would recommend carfix to anyone.
