Not sure the staff were following covid protocols. No masks were being worn and what was posted said they should have been. The bistro did serve up a good meal, flatbread pizza, hot wings and salads were terrific. The service at the bistro was great. The service at check in was also great. The room was clean and comfortable but some of the lights could be a bit brighter.

Positive: Location to my destination. Negative: Room was not fully stocked with towels and wash clothes. No microwave in room. Room didnt smell the greatest from the cleaning agents. Both Wall receptacles beside the beds wouldnt hold the plug in. No vending machines. Payed way to much for average

This place is pretty great. The people at the desk are friendly and helpful. Theres a small pool, hot tub, and a very small gym (treadmill and weights) to keep up with your active lifestyle. They serve breakfast at a small area in the main lobby but you have to catch it early. They also have a small convenience corner where you can buy snacks or even a couple beers. I would go back

The staff were less than helpful in addressing issues concerning too many kids in the pool without adequate adult supervision. As seen in the photo Ive attached the place is being taken advantage of with less than desirable activity and the staff seem powerless to control the situation. I cant say that I blame them either...but thats where management steps in...HELLO MANAGEMENT!!!

Disappointed.This Courtyard was not up to par with other Courtyards I’ve stayed at. First of all, I’m a big fan of Marriott properties but this one left me disappointed.First, I tried to connect to the enhanced internet but when I entered my room number and last name I kept getting an error message saying that “the information I entered did not match was was in their system”. When I called the front desk to ask about it I was told that someone would correct it but I never heard back and it was never corrected. The regular internet made working slow and cumbersome.When entering the room the refrigerator was not working and smelled like an old banana. Was not able to get it to work.There was an alarm clock on the bedside table but it was not plugged in. I plugged it in but was not able to get it set to the correct time.I needed to go to my car early in the morning and walked down the stairs from the third floor. About half of the lights in the stairwell were out making it dark and dangerous to go up and down.I won’t be staying at this Courtyard again.

They have a sister hotel next door that does free breakfast if you want to go over there. But overall I would stay again

This hotel is in a great area. However, this hotel requires some work. When you first walk in great lobby that screams modern and up to date and you think you are going to see the same when you get to your room. WRONG!! Rooms are outdated and screams late 90s. Also there is no free breakfast.

Checked in with my husband who asked about a military discount and showed his ID. Regular rate was $80 for a king room, military rate was $89 a night for the same room. Yep charged $9 more for being military. She just said swipe your card and I asked the total she said 89 I was charged $100 plus change. Plus no coffee and no to go breakfast bags. No discount for that either. Plenty of other hotels that are much nicer in the same area.

We were very pleased with the service. All the staff we interacted with were over-the-top friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and stocked. Plenty of parking and the location is just past the more busy area of that road so its not too bad to get in and out. Close to lots of malls/shopping though so rush hour traffic is bad, but thats not the hotels fault.

It was probably the least comfortable bed Ive ever laid on. The TV is older than Methuselah. The layout is cramped. The staff was pretty short. Other than that, it gave me a place to sleep without bed bugs.

** Update: The final charge matched my reservation. I guess the initial overage was just a hold. **The hotel itself is really nice. The grounds are well kept. The room are nice and clean. Overall the staff is extremely courteous. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because I booked my trsero on Booking.com for one amount (including taxes and fees)and my card was charged for a higher amount. When I called to inquire, I was told that it was for taxes and incidentals. I said oh ok... And as I proceeded to state that my reservation already included taxes and fees, the phone was hung up on me. The actions of one employee does not convey the environment for this entire hotel, however its very displeasing to a customer to receive such service.

One of the worst hotels Ive ever slept at. The beds are hard as a rock, the covers are thin as paper. The pillows are flat and give no support. I needed a handicap room due to recent injury and the bathroom is getto and dirty! Also features in the shower were broken. Light bulbs were out in the room. Like the room doesnt look like anyone cleaned, sanitized or serviced it in some time. it before we arrived at 730 pm, well past the allowed arrival time. They claim to have a microwave in each room and that is far from the truth. The mini fridge doesnt get cold. The photos of this hotel and these other good reviews are nothing but a lie and well put together story. This place is awful!!! Try the other hotels before youre desperate enough to have to stay here. At least the other hotels have free breakfast. This place DOES NOT. We honestly would have been better off at a motel. Also, when we arrived the whole front of the hotel was empty the clerk didnt scoot out from out of the office for a minute. He was short with us and couldnt be bothered.Plain and simple this place was awful. Avoid at all costs.

Booked a room here because we were told the pool and hot tub were open. Only a few minutes from the house but its way to cold to swim in my outside pool at the house. Went to check in at 3pm.. no rooms were available even though we booked in advance. Waited 1.5 hours as they asked me to wait in the lobby and they would get me when a room was available. They proceeded to book multiple rooms ahead of us while we waited... then proceeded to tell me when i waited in line again that they didnt know if they had any rooms available.Got to the pool and the hot tub is ice cold and so is the pool. Was not informed the night before when i called to confirm the hot tub was open and ready for use. Definitely would not have booked had i known. I would have spent my $ elsewhere. Very disappointed with my experience.Only positive is cleanliness of rooms.

The rooms are really outdated as well as the TVs there aren’t any Microwaves in the rooms which I think during a pandemic is necessary to have your own microwave to be able to social distance yourself from others I got the room for one day and decided that I would stay over while I was gone I asked that housekeeping could come into my room and change the sheets as well as take out the trash and leave a new linen they failed to do that then when I called and mentioned it to the front desk they explained that due to COVID-19 they weren’t able to come into the rooms while I was there Which made no sense because I asked for it to be done when I wasn’t in the room for that same reason communication is off they also overcharged me what if I didn’t catch the charge they would’ve gotten away with $71 and some change had I not called overpriced for nothing The only good thing about this hotel is the pool

With the Brand name of Marriott, you would automatically assume the quality of the room would be fabulous. However, in my king suite there was NO in room microwave and the one they had in the lobby didnt work very well. NO extra linens for the pull out, ONLY 2 bath towels in the room,There were two mirrors-both in the bathroom, the full length should be in the room. The first room we were given the vanity light went out and had to change rooms. So instead of relaxing I had to pack up all my belongings and switch rooms. NO BREAKFAST and the FIREPIT was BROKEN. What a disappointment. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel. We slept wonderfully. This hotel has everything you could possibly want while traveling and more. We loved how the lobby has a restaurant/bar which made for a convenient spot to get coffee in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were quiet. We would definitely stay here again! The front Desk manger nick Was very professional and even gave us a charging port for our phone to charge it and recommend mulitple top Restaurant

Velvet alone is a great reason to stay here. I’m not from the area and each time I see Velvet “southern hospitality” is REAL thing. She is simply amazing! Very pleasant and always a smile. To GM Mr Andre Collins, as a small business owner I know great people are almost impossible to find. Velvet is just that! My family was there from July 23rd until the 26th, 2020 our room was not clean, the trash had not been taken out. The shower was cold. Even after they supposedly fixed it. It was either hot or cold. When it was hot and you tried to adjust it to a comfortable temperature there was no warm water. It was hot or cold, and that was it. The front desk blames it on being short staffed. Thats not my fault, I paid good money for a room that was sub-standard. Not happy at all. There was 1 available ice machine for the entire hotel, and if you didnt beat the maintenance workers to it they were taking it all and leaving nothing.

AN OUTRIGHT TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!My parents, visiting from New Jersey, booked two rooms for two nights each, a nice chunk of change for the Hotel but it was mostly a waste of money.On the first night of our stay the 5th floor wreaked of marijuana!On the first morning of our stay there was NO hot water! I called to the front desk and someone who identified himself as the as the General Manager said the boiler was out and someone was working on it.After 20 minutes he called and said it was fixed. However, when we took a shower 10 minutes after his call the water was still ice cold. On the phone the General Manager was upset and not at all understanding to our concerns. How dare he be upset with us when we are the paying guests who had to take ice cold showers because his hotel didnt have a working hot water heater?We went downstairs to talk to him and he didnt offer a comp or a partial refund AT ALL! Most surprisingly, the White family who approached him immediately after us was offered a free night, which they declined, and then a $40 refund on theyre room! It was unbelievable, he refused to offer us any compensation for the same exact complaints the White family made immediately after us.If this wasnt bad enough it got worse when we returned at days end for the second night of our stay. We returned at 6pm for the second night of our stay to an empty reception desk. A woman did come out to greet us, hands casually in pockets-must be nice to hangout at work.We asked about the Hot Water and she said it was back up and running. When we told her we wanted to talk to someone about being compensated for a terrible stay she said Didnt you already talk to the General Manager?, outright dismissing us. We told her what happened ang she said she would...make a note of it. for someone but she never wrote anything down and didnt write anything in the computer. She was completely dismissing because she didnt want to help us....hands in pockets indeed!I will definitely be emailing the customer service department of Courtyard Marriot with all my stay info to get our money back in full or partially.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.BROWN PEOPLE NOT WELCOME!!

Im glad I made the decision to stay in this place, lately Ive been having bad luck with some hiltons bad experience, I did a trip to new orleans in october it was with hilton terrible experience, texas plano in December with hilton okay experience, but with this one my stay was amazing great staff both shifts, and the place is very clean, spacious, I liked the outdoor tennis field, the grill area, I would recommend this place for sure

The hotel is clean, quiet and beautifully appointed. The rooms are comfortable and the bed and pillows are wonderful. The bathroom was very clean and the disposable make up remover cloth was replenished each day. This particular property is easy to access from the interstate but just far enough from it to be extremely quiet.

Honestly we did not plan on staying at the Concord Marriott in Charlotte as we had planned on getting to Fort Mill SC on our way to Florida from Connecticut. Unfortunately life had other plans and after 500 miles in and approx 10 hours on the road, our car alternator broke and we were stranded on the side of the highway. We did get a ride to the Marriott as it was right next store to the dealership we had our car towed to. I unfortunately did not get the name of the gentleman that greeted us that evening but he was training Donna ( I received her name when I was in the phone trying to find a place to stay). He and Donna were so kind, empathetic and checked us in seamlessly and quickly- the gentleman even arranged a late checkout as we did not know when our car woukd be fixed the next day-I hadn’t even thought to ask for that! The bistro was open and the gentleman there-again sorry no name gotten- having heard of our situation-was as kind and empathetic-insisting we go to our room to relax and he would personally bring our food to our room-he also treated me to a hot cup of tea! This staff went above and beyond for strangers who really needed it. The hotel was conveniently located to the highway, close to places to eat and shop (though we didn’t go anywhere). Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and quiet. Bistro food was very good. Breakfast was ok-regular hotel breakfast food and staff in the morning very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here because though the hotel is great the staff we met was exceptional!

Service of hotel was excellent, from check in to check out and everything in between. Decor of interior updated to contemporary design, which is both professional yet welcoming. Room was clean, and bed very comfortable. First full night sleep in a hotel in quite awhile. Long time Hilton Honors Diamond member will return to Charlotte again in future for business particularly in Concord, NC and will try to make reservations at this hotel again.

My husband and I were only here for 1 night for a concert in Charlotte but enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The room was nice and had a comfortable bed, and the staff were so friendly. First time here, even though we live 20 minutes away. Came to take a last-minute get-away somewhere with an indoor pool since we hadnt been swimming all summer. The pool area isnt impressive, but its appropriate because theres no lifeguard. The room was spacious, even for two adults and two older kids. The beds were uncomfortable though, and there was no microwave. You had to pay per person for breakfast, and at $9 per person it wasnt worth it. We would have appreciated a free continental option at least. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wed probably stay there again for the value.

Reservation email stated check in was scheduled for 3 but when we arrived the front desk attendant said the room wasn’t ready and took our phone number and said they’d call when it was. I called the front desk an hour later and it wasn’t ready then. We stood in the lobby about 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the front desk and their were 3 other parties waiting for service. When the desk agent finally came they swiped two debit cards because we were confused about the payment not being taken out of the account when the reservation was made. The front desk agent then told us the payment will be refunded for one of the cards that she charged . We then got into our suite only to find that one of the beds were broken before we even entered the room.

I typically stick with hotels that I am familiar with, as I know what to expect. This hotel did not meet my level of expectations. They could add a few things such as free coffee, tea, microwaves in the rooms, and possibly a continental breakfast. I was in Charlotte for my aunts funeral which of course is a very difficult time, the staff at your hotel were exceptional.....everyone was so nice and so helpful. We met Ms. Williams (I cant remember her first name) on our first day and she was so helpful in keeping our bags until check in and she printed out a list of restaurants with directions so we could get something to eat. Then in the evening we met Michaela who did my reservations on the phone, she is an amazing young woman and represents the Marriot with such dignity and an exceptional personality.We also met Cathy and another young lady, I dont remember her name. But you should know that the Marriot experience is very well represented in Charlotte. THANK YOU ALL !!!!The staff at those hotel are phenomenal!! and I recommend it 100%

The first thing I encountered at this hotel was, of course, the front desk staff. We’d checked in via the Marriott app, and getting our key was so simple. The person attending us was so friendly and answered all our questions about the hotel and the area with knowledge and great communication. The lobby is clean and spacious, as is the Bistro Bar.Our room was big and nicely decorated. Only downside - the only microwave for late night snacks is in the lobby.Overall, This was a very nice experience, and will serve me well when I want to visit Charlotte.
