I got my wedding dress at Gesinee’s Bridal. I had a wonderful experience working with my bridal consultant and trying on dresses during our appointment about a year before my wedding day. There was a Christina Wu trunk show that weekend. I ended up finding a beautiful dress in her Jacquelin Exclusive line, and even before visiting any other bridal store in the area! I was also able to use the credit I got from purchasing a dress during the trunk show towards the matching cathedral-length veil. I had a great experience during my fitting at the alterations location across the street. The women helping me were very patient and accommodating of the ways I wanted my dress altered and during my final fitting, my dress fit perfectly. I felt so beautiful and confident in my dress on my wedding day!

I recently scheduled a visit to Gesinee’s and met with Alexis for my consultation—she was AMAZING! This was the first place I had tried on wedding dresses so was a little unsure of what exactly I would like in person, versus what I had seen online. Gesinee’s had a huge selection, including all of the designers I was interested in, and Alexis knew exactly how to help narrow down the options just from a few questions. She knew the store inventory by memory and was really helpful in helping me decide which details were most important. It was a delightful first experience and I was/am so grateful for Alexis’ assistance! 😊

I have been trying to get an update in a bridesmaid dress that I had purchased in early 2020. They were going to try and resell it (since they have a no refund policy). I have called numerous times to get an update on the dress, if it has been sold or if I should just go and pick it up. Every time I am told that a manager will call me back but I do not ever receive a call. I have left voice mails and still nothing.

Without really knowing what to expect, a Google search led me to Gesinees Bridal. I made an appointment over the phone and arrived to find a massive, massive collection of dresses. Theres really no way you can peruse everything so come prepared with ideas, at the very least on the fit that looks good on you. Expect to spend at least 2 hours here. I shared with Miguel my thoughts and he started running around looking for options. I sat in the fitting room feeling anxious about what he would bring out. I wanted something a bit different (which is what every bride says). He brought out a few pieces which I said no to and he refined his choices as we went along. The last dress I tried (of 7 i think), didnt look very good on the hanger but he encouraged me to try it on just as a wild card. Guess what, that was the dress I said yes to! It looked stunning and It nailed my aesthetic (of different) completely. We ended up ordering it right then and there. It was beautiful. Thank you Miguel.When it arrived, I got an email from Miguel to notify me. After an appointment, then it was time for alterations. Irene the alternations manager is a pleasure to work with, she is fun, lively and really good at what she does. She patiently listened to my thoughts and made recommendations about what would work with my body which I appreciated. My mom and I had a vision in mind for a unique sleeve for the dress. Her team was able to put it together as we imagined it. From Sleeve creation to bustling to hemming - they are so skilled and talented. I am a bride from out of the country and I flew in just two weeks before my wedding for fitting. Although they work very fast and were very accommodating of my situation, I recommend to brides to allow them time to work properly. After alterations, my dress was perfect and unique in every way. Had an appointment at 5 with Katie! She was so fun and made the experience amazing. She was not afraid to put my daughter in as many dresses as she could until WE FOUND IT! Kate kept us laughing and the vibe high. Thank you to Sara as well for pulling dresses while we were trying on others. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Very clean! Love the pedi stools! Mirrors were clean. I could not have ask for a better experience! Thank you ladies!!!

This place is so wonderful!! If you want to feel like a princess and work with knowledgeable people this is the place! Ellie was my dress specialist and she was AMAZING! She was excellent at zeroing in on what I liked and was looking for. My experience here was great and honestly dont have a complaint. Sadly I didnt end up getting my dress we had 50% of the cost but they wouldnt take anything less than a 75% deposit. This unfortunately forced me to look around while I came up with the additional funds and I ended up finding another bridal store who ordered the same dress and gave me a $300 discount off the price I was qouted here.

I am sorry, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. My daughter bought her dress there. The attendant was kind and patient; very helpful in finding the dress my daughter was looking for. I cant seem to pinpoint the reason for the Post Office/Big Lots attitudes of most of the employees but yes, there is a great need for some serious Professional Sales workshops for them to attend. A seamstress should suggest and never insist on how you should wear your dress so if a manager is confident with their seamstress insisting on how the dress should be worn, that is a huge flag that you need to leave. You are buying the dress.My daughter had good seamstresses helping her but they could not change the unprofessionalism of the common staff. My other daughter tried ordering her dress there too and it was ordered incorrectly and YES, they blamed her for their mistake. It was a little scary once we were deep in the alterations as we watched so many customers come in and try on their dresses, complaining about size, stains, wrong alteration, etc. We just prayed very hard and God heard us; we got out of their with the dress and were lucky to have the dress make it through the wedding.I hope they can learn to positively and carefully handle all their customers and not just some, . . . that they concentrate on making EVERYONE welcome and not just some, . . .

This was the dream wedding dress shopping experience! Our consultant really listened to our needs and our likes & dislikes. She never brought us a dress over budget and never rushed us to make a decision. I cannot overstate how patient she was and how thoughtful her suggestions and comments were. The alterations manager came by three times to answer questions about fittings and minor changes to the dress. My daughter couldnt be happier with her wedding dress and the experience we had together. Thank you Emily!

The service was great loved the way I was treated. The only thing wrong was I settled for my dress. I wanted to try something with more bling but never tried anything like it on and settled for a plain dress because of my size that now second guessing it i don’t know if I made the right decision. I should of stuck with my gut. And with the policy I can’t do anything about it. Just hope it looks good when I get it. Anyway it’s a great place lots of nice dresses nice people definitely recommend.

I set an appt and Evelyn was my personal assistant. With over 20 years experience she was extremely helpful She had lots of knowledge. She listened to what I said I wanted and brought me so many dresses to try. She wasnt pushing selling me a dress and I really feel like she just wanted me to find the right dress. I narrowed it down to two dresses went home and thought about it for a couple days. When I went back, she helped me again. This time she helped me by completing my bridal look and I said yes to the dress. The store is very big and has so many dress options. It really is a one shop stop for any event. I cant wait for my dress to come in. I will request Evelyn when I do my first fitting.

I used to think this place was amazing, but it has gone down hill fast. The manager Teresa is so horrible. She gave me one set of information over the phone about a dress I ordered 5 MONTHS AGO that is still not there and then when I went into the store to check, she basically called me a liar. She was so rude and just sat there talking to me like I was stupid. I am so disgusted and hurt by how she acted. I would definitely not recommend this place. Absolutely the worst place ever. My sisters wedding is in 7 weeks and I am so worried I wont have the dress she picked out to wear as her Maid of Honor. Honestly, avoid this place at all costs and go to Davids Bridal. They have great customer service and can get you what you order in a timely manner.

Very helpful throughout the buying and alterations process. Have come in to try my dress on so many times with different accessories and they were helpful each time. All they ask is that you schedule an appointment first to try your dress on. They also stored it for me for almost a year after I purchased it AND the accessories I purchased there. Sammy was my consultant and shes amazing!! I chose to come here after multiple terrible experiences at Davids Bridal, and when I found out I had more than a few friends who found their dress here - and there are so many dresses to choose from! This place has one of the biggest selections of dresses than any other places I went. I also tried on so many dresses and Sammy was patient with me the entire process. I think I actually went there three times at least before finally finding - the - dress! :D

I don’t usually write reviews, so please excuse any awkwardness. The reviews I read while planning my wedding were essential to the decisions I made, so I want to start by imploring other brides not to go to Gesinee’s. If you want the full details, I have written them below, but the most important thing now is preventing future brides from having an experience like mine. I can never get my wedding day back, and you all deserve an amazing wedding day with no regrets.Now onto the story. I will say that I had a good experience purchasing the dress. Everyone seems so nice and acted extremely knowledgeable. However, the dress I purchased caused me nothing but pain and embarrassment on the day of my wedding. To be honest, I know that I am a little top heavy. When I first walked in to Gesinee’s, my only stipulation was that I wanted sleeves. I know that sleeveless dresses can be problematic for my body type. I was convinced that I should at least give sleeveless dresses a try, as many of them have corsets that offer support. I trusted their advice. Looking back however, I realize that the saleswoman only brought me sleeveless dresses to try on. During my second appointment with them, I picked out a few with sleeves. I have never worn anything even close to as fancy as a wedding dress and the three dresses I was allowed to choose did not go well with my frame. As Sammy, the saleswoman, did know what she was doing, the dresses she chose looked significantly better on me. They felt supportive and she reiterated several times that I would be fine without sleeves. I believed her and I purchased a sleeveless dress. During the fitting process, there were several problems, but I’m going to focus on the boning they added and their persistent advice that I would be fine without sleeves. My mom and I both asked the seamstresses about sleeves and we were assured each time that I did not need them. The dress was not fine without sleeves. My dress did not even support me all the way through the ceremony. The boning weakened more and more as the night went on. By the end of the night, the boning was completely bent and I was in a lot of pain. The bruises lasted for over a week. I have reached out to Gesinee’s, hopeful that they would want to address my issues and make amends for the pain and embarrassment the dress caused. They offered to rebone and preserve the dress. I hope you all understand why this doesn’t help. I do not want to look even at this dress anymore. There is no chance I will wear it again. They have refused to offer any other solution or any type of refund. I again entreat the other brides out there not to buy their dresses at Gesinee’s. They offer advice and do not face any consequences when the advice is negligent. I paid extra for a dress that they convinced me would be perfect and therefore was worth the additional cost. Looking at wedding pictures brings tears to my eyes. I can never get that night back. The embarrassment I felt that whole night, especially when dancing with my dad, will haunt me for the rest of my life. Please spare yourself that pain and stay far away from Gesinee’s.

I just ordered my wedding gown from here this weekend and wanted to share my experience for other brides. Lots of info incoming.I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, I literally made a same day appointment approximately 12 hours after I found out that apparently bridal appointments are a thing. They might take walk-ins but I really recommend an appt (it’s free) because you can have a dedicated stylist working with you and helping you try on the dresses.My stylist that day was a woman named Emily and she was AMAZING. I’m sure the others are good too but I would recommend you ask for her specifically. She was so attentive and helped me figure out what style of dress I loved. She always let me wander around and grab any dress that I fancied, but also would point out if she thought that particular dress might have a detail or style that I wouldn’t like based off my usual preferences. She carried herself in a very professional manner. She actually is pretty new to this field but I think it’s to her advantage because her previous experience in customer service and education shines through. She also is great at politely hearing input from opinionated Mother of the Bride but focusing on what the actual bride wants.One note though, I think she (and probably all stylists) is trained to always be very complimentary and never point out any bad features. I mean we brides are probably always the most harsh about our own bodies. But their were some dresses that I clearly looked better in than others whereas Emily insisted I looked amazing in everything. I recommend you bring a friend or relative who you trust to tell you the truth haha. I’m chubby and currently losing weight so there was a skintight dress that I loved but honestly did not do me favors at all but if I had been alone with Emily at the appointment she might have swayed me into getting it, luckily I found another dress that I loved more and showed my figure in a great way!After I selected my gorgeous dress, it’s time for measurements which was done by a woman named Teresa or Theresa, I’m not sure how she spells it. Teresa is very abrupt and blunt. At first I was taken aback by her manner of dealing with customers. But honestly I think she is maybe a saint in disguise. Because she is so straightforward, she is able to make very realistic and persuasive recommendations regarding what length and size you should order your dress. She clearly has a lot of experience and it shows. I think she probably has built up this tough persona after years of dealing with brides who insist on ordering a size against her recommendations and then end up upset when it doesn’t fit. She ultimately lets you make any decision regarding your size but I really appreciated how realistic she was. I’ve lost 21 lbs so far and am planning to lose another 15-20, but she recommended I choose the dress size that fits me NOW and alter later if I lose more weight. Ultimately I decided she is an expert and chose to trust her suggestion.Two other notes. I typically wear size 8-10 and I was able to fit into every single sample gown, which I think ranged from 6 to 12. The gowns you think will be too small have a lot more wiggle room than you expect. And the gowns that are larger can be clipped to show the right fit. But I think women who are very tiny or very overweight might have a tougher time. I have read elsewhere that for women requiring a plus size, there is a more limited selection. So if you require a plus size, it might be good to call ahead of time to check if they have plus size sample dresses (I imagine they do.)Also, they had the dresses separated by price range. I chose to check the area with dresses under $1300 and that way I wouldn’t be tempted to even look at the other areas. PSA, a $1300 dress will of course be closer to $1500 once fees and tax are added. Not to mention the eventual cost of alterations. By the way, there is an alteration shop across the street which they recommend but I might check out the alternatives.

Dear brides & bridesmaids,DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! THEY *WILL* MESS UP YOUR ORDER AND BLAME IT ON YOU AND REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.Myself (the maid of honor) and two other bridesmaids went in and shopped. The service itself is very nice when youre in the store.However, they completely messed up the color of our order and refuse to do anything about it.We specifically went in and chose dresses we could get in the same swatch. They let us look at a swatch book and we picked a color and confirmed it with the bride. It was a lovely light violet color.However, the bride just received a swatch from the dye lot today and it is the completely wrong color. Its a winey purple color--not at all the light, spring color that we chose.This is not even a matter of us getting the wrong name or in any way our fault. WE HAVE PHOTO PROOF. Because the bride was overseas we have proof in pictures of what color and color name we chose since we were sending pictures back and forth all day to confirm what she wanted.The store gave us the wrong swatch book. THEY completely messed up OUR order.We even have photo proof that the color we chose is NOT the color we are getting and the shop refuses to fix it.DO NOT USE THEM.

I went in in March and was helped by the most helpful sales associate her name was robyn and she was great. I am an older bride and this is my 10 anniversary wedding so my goal is to be fabulous. She told me since my wedding isnt until next years that I should take my time and come back as much as i need to until I find the perfect dress. I went here to get my matron of honor dress as well as my daughters flower girl dress. Upon entering everyone was very pleasant. We found our dresses and placed our order. At the time we had Marabel helping us pick out. It was close to closing so around 6:15 Sarah one of the managers sent her home. From there Sarah helped us with measurements and processing the order. We had to wait for our dresses to come in. I was charged a rush order fee for my dress about a week after my daughters dress came in at the size recommend it to me after being sized. When the dress came in it was way to big for my daughter witch left me very concerned about my own dress. They were able to reorder my daughters dress in a smaller size, but when I asked about my own dress they told me it was being shipped faster then they initially said and I was unable to get a smaller size. Remind you I paid $50 extra to have my dress in time. So today we go back in to get the other flower girls dress sized they side it would be one size that ended up being to small. I dont know the name of the lady that mussured my niece for her dress but it seems to me that dont really know what they are doing. Marable seemed to be the only one able to do her job and she seemed new. At this point I feel like they are scam artist to force alterations. I would not recommend going here for fittings. They did have a nice set of dresses though.

My daughter and I went to this place on March 4th to pick out her prom dress for prom on May 11. We found the dress and the young lady helping us was very sweet and polite. The lady ordered my daughter as size 6 which was the size of the floor model. The floor model was too big and they had to clip it in several places. So they said ordering a six would be the right size for her. When we arrived to pick up the dress on March 23rd the dress was too small and would not zip at all. A manager came over to help because the lady helping us was very confused on why the dress would not fit. The manager said oh that’s no problem I’ll just order a new one and have it shipped right away. And that the dress would arrive no later that April 18th. The dress is still not in the store!!! When I called to speak with the manager her words were “its on backorder, I’m doing the best that I can”. And proceeded to tell me it would be in the store on May 4th. That is exactly one week before my daughters prom and not enough time for the dress to be taken in or whatever alterations may need to be done to it. Not to mention ordering the right color accessories for her boyfriend to match her. This is unacceptable for a business that is supposed to be well known for special occasions and events. I have called and emailed to receive a refund and the manager only says to me all sales are final. I do not recommend this place to anyone to use for any event. I couldn’t imagine this happening to someone for a wedding. The manager is rude and they clearly do not care about the customer!!Update! The manager ended up refunding my money when I called and explained that I had to purchase another dress.

As a photographer, its important to have a trusted local resource that can service my clients. All of my photoshoots are customized to my clients... such as moms for a family portrait. My mamas splurge on one of their looks in being glamours, while my brides need variety for their wedding party. I arrived early and could hear the consultants talk about the needs of an upcoming client, when a few of them mentioned a specific type of gown and where it was located to help with the selection process. When you step into the boutique you know this is no small task as their inventory is vast! The consultants are paying close attention to details and are very knowledgeable. For me, I needed 3 separate occasions for gowns. Although I hate shopping, it was a lot of fun being able to pick a color and see how many variations and designs I could choose from. Sara gave exceptional personal service. Excited and thrilled to have Gesinee on my Preferred Partner list.

I was helped by Mckinsey, while being shadowed by an employee in training, Chanel. I found my wedding dress AND had a wonderful time with them. They were really helpful and listened to what I wanted and didnt want. I have probably only worn a handful of dresses in my life, so I was feeling a little uncomfortable and anxious at first, but they really helped ease those feelings. By the time I left I didnt want to take off my dress. Emma, the manger was also really helpful and was able to extend an offer for an upcoming deal that I wanted, but was going to miss out on. So because of her awesome customer service, I didnt have to miss out on it. In a few months, Ill be bringing my bridesmaids back to find dresses for them, too. Thank you, McKinsey for actively listening, as well as staying confident with every no I said to a dress (and there were a lot of dresses), until I found the one that made me say yes.

I gave them two stars because I did actually find my dress there, and when I went in after my dress came in to try it on, they were very nice. However, the first time I went in was a different story.I had gone to another (super nice, but super small) place in Alameda in the morning and found a dress (and a dress shopping experience) that I really liked there. The kind of experience that you expect when youre a bride, looking for her wedding dress. Large beautiful dressing room, someone to help you into and out of all the dresses, a little stage for you to show your dress off and comfy seating for your family to sit on. While youre all drinking champaign.Gesinees didnt really give off that vibe. The kid that greets you as you walk in doesnt listen to anything you say because shes waiting to ask if you have an appointment before she bothers to listen. Youre asked to have a seat, but given no direction so you mill about for a bit instead. Im not super judgy but the employee dress code could use a little enforcement or revamping, or both.We were taken through a maze of dresses, then shown where the dresses that I might like were, and told to grab a few to try on. Again not as nice as the last place where we would turn the dress and the attendant would gather them up neatly after.In the dressing room (which has the same amount of wiggle room as a voting booth) I was told to let her know when I was ready. At which point she reaches in and hands me the first dress. :/I had to let her know that I needed help getting into all of these, and that Im not worried about being seen in my bra. But apparently she was.I can deal with all of that stuff, but in the end, after Id found my dress... I was told that the dress wouldnt be in until April (it ended up coming in earlier than they said, in December) I was just barely avoiding a rush shipment fee if I ordered it now. So it was decision time. I still really liked the dress from the Alameda store, and they were so much nicer. Theyd taken my measurements (because that takes zero effort and about 17 seconds to do) and my dress was just a phone call away. When I asked them to do the same for me, they informed me that they cannot take measurements without any money down on a dress. Seriously.Longer story shortened, I felt pressured into getting my dress right then and there. Reluctantly held up their she said yes to the dress sign, and went up to the counter to buy my dress. This is the part that irked me the most. As she was filling out the paperwork, whenever she referred to payment, she always referred to it in a manner that implied that my credit card would be declined. Which was super insulting. As long as the payment gets processed, well go ahead and move forward with... I pictured all of them huddled around the credit card machine, fingers crossed.It didnt leave me with a happy Yay! I found my dress! feeling. But I have my dress now. So thats good.

I usually check ratings before making a big purchase or using a service, and not checking Gesinees reviews was my first mistake. My daughter and I searched at least 10 stores looking for what she wanted in a wedding dress....FINALLY she found 3 dresses that she LOVED at Gesinees. Our service purchasing the dress was 5 star service. The selection was great and they carried the types of gowns she wanted that were not available anywhere else we had shopped.Our appointment with alterations was on Friday, May 13. When we arrived the staff did not seem prepared for us...not sure our appointment was in the books as she did not receive a confirmation call. There was another girl being fitted in the main area, and we were given a little area where the grooms mother and I had to stand in the hallway where we had move out of the way each time someone walked past. A seamstress myself, I was baffled at how the lace strap was being altered right in the middle of the one piece lace strap....but I assumed that the lace would not be cut at the shoulder and adjusted where it met the dress. The lace strap was pinned at the shoulder. Then the woman altering the dress showed me a piece of torn notebook paper about 3x3 with $475 scribbled on it and said it was my quote for alterations. That should have been my first clue that this was not going to go well. It seemed expensive, (and a very odd way to give a quote,) but we again assumed we would get quality work. How the straps were pinned caused my daughters breast to bulge from the dress- she is big busted but she is not overweight. The seamstress said, Just go buy one of those weighted bags and put it on the other side,....and she proceeded to stuff a wad of fabric in the cup of the dress...thus causing both sides to bulge. It looked terrible to say the least and when we agreed that didnt help she said, I CANT FIX THE PERSON! When my daughter asked about taking in the back the woman said it would be another $175. I could tell this was going WRONG rapidly and decided to go outside and call the local bridal shop in San Carlos. When I walked back in, there was more pinning done and it was even worse than before. As for the bunching in the front of the dress, the woman told her that when she walked she could, just have her girls pull the dress down! I said we were going to take the dress and try another shop and the woman said, Good idea!The next morning we had the dress fitted at a local shop and in just a few pinnings, (where the strap met the dress,) the dress looked gorgeous! The price was not much less but after reading the reviews I see a pattern of ruined dresses. It wasnt the price as much as that we were getting the dress altered to fit my daughters figure.After calling Gesinee to complain, a manager was supposed to return my call, which hasnt happened. I am so disappointed we had purchased the veil before the alterations or I would have ordered it somewhere else after the poor service and insults. My advice is to NOT do alterations there. I was hoping to have some resolution before I posted this- perhaps an apology and assurance that the woman would not tell other patrons that she cannot fix their bodies. If I get a return call I will edit this review to reflect that. I learned to always read reviews FIRST!

I would not recommend this store to anyone as you see they only have a 3 star rating and that is Because they are terrible at what they do. My daughter bought her wedding dress there and it fit almost perfect when she tried it on they really only had a couple small things to do but when the dress came back from the first and should of been only alteration it was a total mess they ruined the dress. Then of course they want to charge you for every alteration even when they messed it up (seems like a scam for them to get alot of extra money) Finally after the third fitting one week from wedding date she had to take the dress which still was not the same as the initial fitting. They do not know what they are doing when altering dresses not to mention they are rude and over book so they can not give good one on one special attention to the bride. They act like you are the problem and they did nothing wrong.. But they sure want your MONEY! WORST BRIDAL EXPERIENCE EVER! P.s. I had to give 1 star to write a review, but would not even give them that.

This is my 2nd wedding I was in and had to deal with this company. And this is the 2nd time the company f-en up everything. Just today I called to chk the status of my dress and they informed me that they never ordered it because they didnt get my $, but i show in my account they pulled the money out and put it back a month later. I have been calling for the status for over 5 months and they kept telling me it wasnt in yet, but it was on its way. Once again.. they have TOTALLY messed up everything.I was in a wedding 2 years ago and they almost did the same thing. Lucky i was able to go to another bridal shop to get the same dress and I was able to be in my sisters wedding...In this case I can no longer be in my oldest sisters wedding, since its only 3 weeks away. WHAT A WAY TO MESS UP SOMEONES DREAM WEDDING!!..
