I recently rented a straight truck from Ryder, my first time renting from them. The agent told me that because Im a new customer I was getting their nicest available truck. When I pulled out of the lot the orange triangle and forward radar lights came on. I was about to drive to Cincinnati and had no cruise control because of this issue. When I left Cincinnati I was having issues with the blower motor. It died on me while the heat index was over 100°F. I was unable to exchange the truck due to their hours and my scheduled deliveries. I had to go back to Cincinnati the next day and to Toledo on the day I returned it. I had to use the truck with no cruise control over 750 miles and no blower motor for the A/C. I was still charged over $500.

Got me and my company out of a jam with a rental so I could get my load delivered on time and was reasonable and accomodating to our needs

I had to rent a truck to transport supplies for my sons wedding. Chris set me up with the perfect truck. He had it ready when I arrived. Excellent experience!

We ordered a truck and scheduled a pick up but no one was there when we were supposed to arrive. We ended up spending more than half an hour waiting for a rental person. At least the maintenance guy was nice

I rented a truck from this company and they did NOT tell me before I picked up the truck that you have to bring in a certificate showing your insurance will cover you (to avoid their $28 charge). I was given a deadline of 12noon the next business day to provide the certificate and my insurance did everything possible to provide it, but Ryder keep changing what they needed to be provided. Ryder sets up the certificate so that NO personal insurance company would be able to provided everything needed. They wanted proof of a 1million dollar insurance plan and wanted to be named a benificiary on my policy, which would mean if later down the line I have accident my insurance would have to list Ryder on my claims check. Why they would require things like this makes no sense. This was THE WORST truck rental place I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.
