I brought an old machine in to be looked at. After two weeks of waiting for Steve to look at it I am told that my machine isn’t worth it. He offers to sell me a larger machine for 50 dollars. I turned down the machine and took my machine back. When I got home I noticed the motor belt was missing and the foot petal cord was wrapped tightly around the machine and stressed where the connections were to the motor. I called about the belt and asked if he had it as I had paid money for said belt. He again said that it was trash and laughed at me over the phone saying that he was the only sewing repair shop in town.He also was incredibly rude and condescendingly disrespectful and had a misogynistic tone to his voice.

Super nice guy! My machine tumbled down the stairs head over heels. Sadly, it wasnt repairable. However, Steve was awesome. I wouldnt hesitate to call him again! Beths stitchery, on the other hand, wasnt nice -this would be a completely different review if it was for that part of the store. Good thing Graceland Singer is his own business within the location. Thanks, Graceland Singer, for being Great!

Steve Coats, the owner, wonderful. Have dealt with him for years when looking for my first new sewing machine years ago, Steve suggested Janome. He didn’t steer me wrong. Never had it in for service, user friendly and good price I just bought my second Janome and I am thrilled. The Magnolia was virtually sold out everywhere but he found one for me in Las Vegas. It is a great machine. I highly recommend this shop. Steve really knows his business.

I have an ANCIENT machine that is over 100 yrs old and it’s mechanism was frozen solid. It is a tough singer that can sew through double seamed denim and is invaluable with thick fabrics I am unable to sew with my usual machine. It now works like a DREAM!!

Took a vintage sewing machine for repair. I know some about machines and when I dropped it off, the repairman said outright that he doesn’t like working on my model machines. He also said I must watch tv on a black and white tv because I would rather have a vintage machine. He quoted me 10 days. I felt a little iffy leaving it but I couldn’t figure out why my machine started trying to eat fabric. He called me 2 weeks later and started accusing me of taking the whole machine completely apart and losing pieces to my machine. He was very condescending. He said that he could retrofit parts and I told him no.Went in the next morning to pick it up and he told me that the parts that were missing were irreplaceable and that it belonged in the junk pile. Got it home and checked out what had been done to it and he knocked the hook out of time. Now it won’t even pick up the bobbin thread. I also looked up the schematic for the part of the machine that was supposedly missing pieces. They don’t even exist. Don’t waste your time if you have a vintage machine. Luckily I didn’t have to pay but I’m out my time and now my machine is worse than before he touched it.

This guy is a grump and hardly worth the time. Didnt lift a finger to help me get in the door with my grandmothers bulky and extremely heavy machine. He asked me to place it on the floor so he could take a look at it only to declare that it just needed a tune up. At which point I asked how long that might take. He made a sweeping gesture around the store and scoffed. I reminded him that I am not in the sewing machine repair business and needed him to use his words to give me an indication of how long he would need to repair the machine. He said about a month unless I wanted to expedite the service through a third party vendor for an additional fee. No thanks. I could not get out of there fast enough. Thankfully, this place isnt the only repair shop in town.

Where did they move to? Went there today to have my machine looked at and they were taking down the sign for both the repair shop and Beths Creative Stitchery. Will have to find someplace else now i guess. They fixed my old machine when they were in Graceland so I thought I would take it to them again, when I found out where they moved to but nothing on their sight told me where to go to now that they are no longer there.

Dont waste your time! The feeling of welcome when I entered the repair shop was anything less than stellar. Before I was even able to hold up my Kenmore sewing machine to show the owner what I was hoping to find, he flat out said, I dont carry Kenmore parts. This proud declaration is in stark contrast to what is mentioned on their web site. Not only does it clearly state that they service Kenmore machines, it also indicates that theyre able to help locate hard to find parts. Well the part I needed was simply a little rubber foot underneath my machine to stabilize it. Not only was the owner completely dismissive about his ability to obtain such a simple part, he commented that Those rubber feet are probably used on countless machines out there, but theres no way well be able to get them for you. What really irks me even more about this, is that he made absolutely NO EFFORT to look at the foot I needed, nor did it occur to him to look in his supplies of wayward odds and ends which no doubt accumulate in a business like that which has been in operation as long as they have. All I wanted was a simple little rubber foot to go under my machine, and he didnt even bother to see if perhaps an identical foot from a different manufacturer would work let alone if one just so happen to be laying around in a drawer or bin somewhere. If its such a common part, why was he being so arrogant as to completely discourage me as to a positive outcome from my walking through his door? This is bad customer service plain and simple. When hes not even willing to go outside the box to find a possible simple solution to a simple problem, then WHY is this guy working in the service industry in the first place? Additionally, I found his suggestion of folding up some duct tape and sticking it under there completely offensive and rude. Who does this guy think he is? Oh thats right. Hes the only sewing repair shop in town, so naturally he has a captive audience for clientele. Where else can anybody go to have their machines worked on? Oh well. It was a waste of my time, energy, and gas to get to this guys shop... and absolutely nothing to show for it.
