I was so excited to check this place out originally and try somewhere different than I usually do. I went in with a picture for a balayage and cut. The woman I had was super sweet, her name was Katie. She was really sweet, but she really ruined my hair. She appeared to not really know what she was doing. It seemed to take a much longer time than it normally does, but I thought it was because it was much blonder than I normally go. Another woman (AnnaMarie) kept coming by to look at her work and gave Katie a look, I was wondering the whole time what the several looks were about, but I was so excited about the new style that I kind of ignored it. So, long story short I am extremely dissatisfied. I didnt notice how bad it really was until I got home and I cried. My hair was orange and yellow in tone. The balayage was splotchy and looked horrible. I am devastated, my hair is completely botched and pretty unfixable. Even the cut was completely uneven and choppy. I went back for a refund and was instantly given a hard time, the owner was immediately rude and dismissing. Katie came over to talk to me as the owner, basically told her to go away that she would handle it. The owner, AnnaMarie, was huffing the whole time while talking to me and my boyfriend. To say this woman was rude is an understatement, I was shocked to find out she was the owner. She was cutting someones hair and told me she would give me a refund later. I told her I wanted it now with the receipt. I paid almost $200 for the balayage, cut, toner and gave a $30 tip. I finally got my refund as AnnaMarie literally shooed my boyfriend and I out of the building with her hands. I did not want to cause a scene, I was still nice despite being distraught. I was just extremely upset and wanted my money back to go somewhere where the people actually knew what they were doing. AnnaMarie was rude to me the whole time saying she could fix it and that it didnt look that bad. I asked her if she would want to walk around with this and she said nothing. Ive never been this embarrassed in my life and Ive honestly never had service like this before. Im shocked. Everything about my hair is botched. I loved my hair before and now it is completely ruined. The last image is what my hair looked like about a week before having my hair done here. Im devastated and never received the tip I gave back. AnnaMarie was the most unprofessional business owner I have ever encountered. Do not go here, save your money and go somewhere where the people actually appreciate and respect their customers.

What a wonderful place. Honestly, the warmest and kindest atmosphere you could ask for. Everyone is so good at what they do, you cant go wrong with any service.

It was a great experience! I love that the products they use are organic and cleaner than typical products used at salons. I came in for a spa pedicure- it looks great and my feet feel amazing! Cece really did a wonderful job with my poor pandemic feet. I even booked an appointment for next weekend for a spa manicure. The salon was clean, staff is friendly, and I will recommend others to the salon in the future. It does seem a little pricy but its a small price to pay, in the grand scheme of things since the products used are better for you. Looking forward to my next visit ☺️

I’ve been going to The Beauty Box since they opened in 2016 and have always found them to be kind and professional and fabulous at what they do! I’m sure you can’t please everyone but I’ve never had anything but great experiences with this organic, woman owned, small business.

Regular polish mani/pedi by Katie who was very sweet but very inexperienced. My mani/pedi took 3 hours, way longer than I expected and much longer than necessary. I wanted lines on my nails and she kindly let me know she couldnt do it since it had been so long that she drew them. I never polish my entire nails (on my hands), I exclusively wear minimalist designs and she tried her best. I would not go back. Salon is nice, small, and clean.

Katie was a an excellent stylist and amazing company to chat with! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Was just looking for someone to fix my quarantine cut and Katie blew it out of the water! Such a chill vibe, organic products that worked great with my hair, and a really amazing staff that listens to what you want and knows what you need. Will be back again!

I was pretty nervous for my first salon experience. Katie made me feel very at ease and did a great job cutting my hair. I had no idea what I wanted or needed going in, but I left feeling better than ever. Also I was a walk in and they were able to work with that as well, getting me in and out quickly.

I believe her name is Cheyenne. She made my first sugar wax experience very nice. She told me about the different waxing options and the different chemicals inside. She gave me tips on how to upkeep & made scheduling future appointments hassle free. The Brazilian wax has me blown away with the results. Will definitely be back.

Lovely establishment, excellent service and an overall wonderful experience. Anna Marie did a great job with my makeup and hair. She was very friendly and professional, I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

I really wanted to like this place- its locally owned, down the street, and trying to use not toxic beauty supplies. But my experience was, in the end, just plain not great. I really cant recommend for a pedicure. I didnt pay for any other services so this is purely for the pedicure service. I wish it would have worked out!

Love this place and the vibe. I made an appointment for a manicure ahead of my friends wedding this weekend, and upon entering was greeted by the owner and her adorable pup, the experience was really relaxing and Im super happy with the results (hand massage was excellent too). Will definetly be returning as a frequent customer!

When I was looking for someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, I knew I didnt have to look any further after I met AnnaMarie. She is full of talent and excitement. She was extremely patient with me and listened to exactly what I wanted. I had a hair and makeup trial at her salon(The Beauty Box), but she was able to travel to my venue on the big day. She made getting ready fun, and we got done right on time! I was beyond satisfied with my makeup and hair! I cant thank her enough for helping me on my special day! Thank you AnnaMarie.

Top notch atmosphere and Anna will make you look and feel like a million bucks before you leave the shop! Add the fact that she doesn’t use any harsh chemicals and you have one of the best shops in the city.
