I was so reluctant to get a spray tan for fear of being orange or “fake looking.” Even so, I got one with Maria. The tan came out looking so natural and was the perfect shade I was looking for (Maria helped me choose). 2 days later I went to the wedding so confident with glowing tanned skin! It complimented the dress so well! I plan on getting one for each of the three weddings I’m in this year!!

Katie Lynch is so so wonderful!! I am naturally a dirty blonde, however during the winter months I like to add some brightness / dimension to my hair. After a tragic experience at another salon (think natural to platinum.... yikes), she was able to correct the color and bring my hair back to life!! She was efficient, personable and took the time to bring my vision to life. Would highly recommend this salon!!

Went in to get a balayge on my Virgin black hair. Called other salons, none wanted me due to the black, textured hair. Emma was quick and left me more than happy. Left with soft, beautifully colored hair and was guided to the proper products to ensure the color last. Has been 2 months so far and am still in love.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would.They treat their customers like they are expendable, and it felt like I was being rushed through my service. Every staff member was SO rude, and I regret spending my money here.Also, I know that they only pay their staff roughly $4/customer and encourage staff to upsell customers/get commission on hair products, thereby undermining their actual artistic skill sets and pushing them to deceive clients in order to earn livable wages. The service I received now makes a whole lotta sense.Do better, Blake Rose.

I decided to try a new salon for a cut and color. After some research and reading the Google reviews, I decided to give Blake Rose a try. I checked prices online and a cut /color touch up was listed at $94. When I called to make the appointment and they asked for my credit card number it raised a red flag.I was really excited when I arrived. I asked for some highlights and color retouch. I was asked if it was ok to add toner during my service. I said yes if it was needed. The vibe was very positive during my service. I was happy with my hair. It was a good cut/color. While it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, I was satisfied.At check out, I was told my service was $174. I was shocked but paid and left. When I got home and checked my bank account they had charged me $274. I called to get a better understanding of the charges. After two attempts, I was able to reach someone who provided a break down. Suffice it to say, I won’t return and I would encourage new customers to confirm the cost of services before you schedule.

I have been seeing Maria Adams at BRS&S for awhile now and I can very confidently say I will never trust anyone else with my hair ever again! She listens to my requests and concerns and delivers amazing results every time! I had virgin hair before going to Maria and had wanted to start lightening my hair for years but was so nervous to fry my hair and ruin it. Maria was so reassuring and we started off with a very subtle balayage, and now we’ve worked our way to platinum blonde. I get compliments ALL the time on my hair especially since it is so blonde but it’s still SO healthy! I definitely recommend going to see Maria if you’re interested in coloring/lightening your hair, but just be warned - you WILL get addicted!!Now onto her tanning services... I have a photo shoot coming up and wanted a bit of color on my eternally pale skin. I was soooo nervous to try a spray tan though because I had a booth spray tan a few years back and it was....not good. Nevertheless I decided to schedule a spray tan with Maria and I’m so glad I did! She listened to every concern and answered all my questions about before and aftercare. It’s such a natural, not orangey color and makes me look very kissed by the sun. It’s a good thing she offers a Buy2Get2 on her tans because I will definitely be going back for another!

This salon is absolutely adorable! 100% recommend. I was able to schedule online and they had an opening the day and time I wanted. When I got there they gave me a little tour and offered options of beverages. I had Emma cut my hair today and she was a dream! She listened to what I wanted, created a game plan, explained everything she was doing and even had recommendations on how to keep my hair healthy! (It’s been 3 years since I had it cut, whoops) definitely going back!

I saw Casey @thenailcave and she was wonderful! The area was very clean and I felt quite safe going in and its not just a line of pedicure/manicure tables like you usually find at other salons. Its just you and Casey.She gives you her undivided attention and we are able to talk about a wide range of topics! Prices are very reasonable. I felt so great while getting my pedicure and will be back soon!Highly recommend!

Super chic salon in Grandview, Easy to book online and great service providers. I love getting my nails done by Casey. Ive come for hair and nail services and Im always happy to go back. Parking is simple, theres a lot for the strip and designated spots as well. Pricing is pretty fair for all services Ive had. Highly, highly recommend trying it out if youre shopping around for a new salon.

I returned to BRSS on Tuesday for my service with Bryan and Maria. It was my first time going anywhere since COVID-19. The salon has instituted every measure of safety and cleanliness without sacrificing quality and service. Prior to entering the salon, you call to ensure no one else is checking out at the counter to ensure social distancing. All employees were masked, and I was asked a series of questions before entering and had my temperature taken. Hand sanitizer was readily available. Each stylist has their own room, so social distancing was easy. They are clearly paying very close attention to scheduling clients and timing of services, as I was never seated next to another client while under the dryer or being shampooed. Check out was completely touchless, and there is a barrier between the client and the guest services personnel. Wonderful experience! The only thing missing were hugs and smiles (that you can see).

I was referred to Blake Rose by a friend early this year. Ive gone to Brittany a handful of times now and have had great experiences each time! It is extremely easy to set up an appointment, and Ive never had trouble getting a time that fits my schedule. My hair has been healthier, and I get compliments on my cut. Brittany always takes time to listen to what I would like and is wonderful!I have yet to try their other services, but look forward to in 2015.

The salon is very clean, stylish, and inviting! The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. Additionally, Kristy was fantastic!! She is nice and fun to talk to. Her consult was great because she addressed all of my hair concerns in detail, even had some helpful tips for me to try at home. She did a nice job of blending the color I already had in my hair with the perfect shade of highlights. Lastly, the shampoo felt wonderful because she gave me a relaxing mini-head massage. Overall, I am extremely pleased, feel great with my new look, and would highly recommend Kristy and Blake Rose Salon! Will definitely be going back!

I used to get spray tans on a regular bases but when I moved here two years ago I stopped. I was recommened to try Bliss Spray Tan because they are friendly, good at what they do and affordable. My friend was right! I had a nice experience when I went in last week for my first spray tan with them. The very bubbly, kind lady (sorry I forget your name right now!) took the time to answer may questions, listen to what I was looking for, talked through the difference services and how they varied for each other. My tan turned out very nice! It lasted a long time, never looked splotchy or uneven. I would say I found my new Spray Tan Location! :)The only thing I would say as far as an improvement would be the front desk never asked me if I wanted to re-book (which I wanted too) and they didnt offer me the packages my service provided talk about (and even said the front desk will fill you in more). Make sure there is that communication flow between the service provided and the receptionist. All around though, the receptionist was very nice.

I love Blake Rose. I get by hair cut by Brittany, whos incredibly sweet and talented. She gives the best blowouts! Teresa, the massage therapist, is by far the best masseuse Ive been to. I now get massages monthly and have noticed reduced neck and back discomfort. Shes very thorough and clearly has had years of experience in the field.!

The Blake Rose Salon offers the premium experience with top notch service and quality. I was very impressed with the atmosphere upon entering the salon and how friendly the staff was. But more so with the excellent service I received. I am always more then satisfied with the cut and style that Bryan does and would recommend this salon to everyone. Went into Blake Rose because I saw they sold Bumble & Bumble products and I was in need of conditioner. The girl at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. They were all out of the liter of the conditioner I wanted, so she was able to go to the back and get one that was meant for in-salon use. I wasnt planning on trying out a new salon, but after this positive experience, I have scheduled a haircut and plan on scheduling a massage in the upcoming months. Overall, the 2 people I spoke with here were very pleasant and the salon itself is beautiful and relaxing.

I had my hair done this past week at Blake Rose Salon and it was an overall excellent experience. Kayla was professional and did an amazing job cutting, coloring and styling my hair. Of all the places I have tried out because I had a coupon, this is the only one I have ever returned to without a coupon. For me, that says a lot. I have enjoyed manicures, pedicures, and a massage at Blake Rose and found every person involved in the shop to be friendly, personable, and professional. The atmosphere is cordial and comfortable, not high pressure. Service is timely and competent, Im especially fond of my nail tech, Julie. She does a terrific job and makes the experience more than enjoyable...downright fun. Its a treat to talk with her, and, oh yes, get a great manicure or pedicure. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

I recently started getting my nails done because I never have time to do it on my own anymore. As a first-timer, I have had nothing but positive experiences at Blake Rose. My nail tec Kayla is awesome! She does a great job with my nails, even got me hooked on gel manicures, and she is so fun to talk to. My manicures and pedicures last for 3+ weeks! The salon design and setup is so unique and cute! The prices are reasonable. I will definitely be choosing Blake Rose for other services in the future!

Recently took a half day and spent the afternoon getting a Lemongrass Ginger Spa Pedicure with Gel Polish with Lisa Suarez and it was SO relaxing. She was great at what she did and was a pleasure to talk to. She helped me pick a great color combo and would consider re-booking future appointments with her as well as recommend her to my friends. Looking forward to booking a manicure with Lisa in the future!

I got my nails done (gel) there once so far but I will definitely be back. Brielle did a wonderful job! The shaping is excellent, cuticles were taken care of, and the polish was done to perfection. My only complaint is the price, compared to my old salon in Grand Rapids, Michigan it is about $25 more expensive at Blake Rose for the exact same service and quality. I was a bit alarmed during check out, even after looking up the prices online prior to booking the appointment.

Brittany has cut my hair a couple times and she always does a great job.I have curly hair so not everyone can make it look good. My friends call the haircut she gives me The Adonis. I definitely feel like one after she cuts my hair. The people are nice and the Salon itself is beautiful and relaxing. Cant recommend enough!

I am always weary of where I go to get my haircut, especially since its so difficult to find a stylist that can work well with curly hair, but I have never been happier. Bryan was able to give me the right haircut that matched what I wanted and what he thought would look best for my facial structure. I had a groupon for a manicure, and used it for a gel manicure. The receptionist was friendly and polite, and offered us tea and coffee right away. The nail technician did a great job. I went with a friend, and we both had slightly detailed ideas of how we wanted the paint design, and she went above and beyond to make sure that we were both happy with how our nails looked. I would definitely go back!

I have never gone to a salon & spa before this appointment. I left feeling very relaxed and well taken care of. I got a 60 minute massage from Audrey. She was wonderful! Very helpful with my pain and tension as well as helped me to relax after a very stressful day at work. I also got a spry tan for my friends wedding afterwards and Abbey was very sweet and helpful give me helpful hints as well as did a great job making sure I was even and looked great. I have gotten so many compliments on it already and the wedding is not for another 2 days! My friends all want to come and get one too now. Ive been to salons all over Columbus and this is the most impressive in whole.I had my hair dyed by Bryans apprentice, Lesley, and she not only met, but exceeded, my expectations. She listened carefully to what I wanted and offered her stylist intel - bringing up great points that I hadnt considered.Bryan was wonderful to review her plan and make sure I fully understood the direction wed be taking. The color is rich and luscious, and looks way more expensive that I actually paid for it!Even if you like your hair fine now, but feel deep down it could be one speck better, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a fashion-forward salon, this is the place to be. After an appointment at Blake Rose, I always leave feeling like a style diva. OK, so style diva might be pushing it, but Kayla always cuts my hair to look so chic and with such precision that it somehow seems to swing with I walk. I had a hair appointment at Blake Rose that I scheduled months in advance with the owner, Bryan Beaver. The day of, they called me to see if I could come in early, which was fine. I was coming from work but rushed to get there 10 minutes early. When I got there, I sat around for about 10 minutes waiting to be helped. Not great since they asked me to come early, but not the end of the world.Bryan came to help me and seemed very kind. He asked me what I wanted done and he talked through it with me. Seemed knowledgeable. He talked me into Baby-Lights instead of the balayage that I normally get. Then he said he had to check his schedule to see if he had time. After being gone about 10 minutes, he said he would not have time to do my hair that night, and took me to the front to reschedule with another associate. I was so confused. I still do not understand how there was not time. The appointment they had re-booked me to started at the same time the original appointment had. After consulting my old hair-dresser and also the person who ending up do my hair since Bryan did not, neither of them were quite sure how this could happen.I cancelled my future nail appointment with the salon and wont be back.

Went to see Allison for a pixie cut... What I got was a total hack job with uneven neckline, way shorter than what I asked for, and to make it worse, I kept getting stabbed in the head with shears. I even felt like she was rushing to get me out. Should have went to Lucky 13 where I know they can actually do a good job. One star says it all.

I can only speak to wax and nails (Lisa) but great experiences. I dont regularly get my nails done, only a couple times a year, but now whenever I need something done, thats where I go. Compared to other places in Grandview, Ive had much better luck with my gel nails lasting.

I cant not even explain how much I love my new hair. I did a full balayage and cut with Arianna. I fully expected to be here for 5 hours because I have never once gotten this done in less time. It took exactly 2 hours and it looks better than any other time I have gotten it done. The salon is clean and beautiful, and everyone is so friendly. Thank you again Arianna!!!!!

I have never had a bad experience here, all the people Ive gotten cuts from are very helpful and have good vision. They even offer a fix if something doesnt end up laying right in everyday practice as long as you return within 5 days.

I received a brow wax and absolutely loved the woman who did it. She did a great job and I felt like she really listed to what I was looking for and offered great advice too. I have been to other places that make my eye brows was too thin or uneven. I would highly recommend using this salon!

Danielle is an amazing nail artist. I have been to every kind of nail artist imaginable and she is the best! Blake rose has a fantastic atmosphere.

I purchased a Groupon for gel manicures here and I wasnt disappointed! Julie did a great job. Other nail places would ruin my nails removing gel but mine actually grew better after these manicures. I also got the longest wear out of my manicure here than any other place.

Absolutely loved my cut and style at Blake Rose. I have a LOT of hair and there are many stylists who dont know what to do with it. Kayla did a wonderful job and I left looking and feeling like a queen!

I was with Bryan last February and it was great. I have been having a hard time to find a good hair salon where there are stylists who can cut asian hair pretty well. But Bryan did his job pretty well. I think this is the best salon in this city. Also, I love their welcoming atmoshere.

Had Lindsey W. cut my hair, mens cut. I feel like I could have received the same quality from Great Clips, or the like, for a third of the price and a third of the time. I wont go back. Lots of missed hairs, crooked lines and my bangs were cut way too short so they just stuck straight out. Nice space, nice staff...bad haircut.

I FOUND MY HAIR WHISPERER!! Brian is amazing. I just showed him a picture of Kate Winslet and he worked some crazy magic on my hair - no more grey, lots of blonde gorgeousness! Awesome friendly place. And believe me - I have tried every salon in town!

I am a woman that has rocked naked finger nails for my entire life (not even clear polish usually!). I got my first gel manicure here 4 weeks ago because I was with a friend who insisted that I try it. My nails are JUST NOW looking like they should be done again. The gel polish not only proved to LOOK beautiful, but it also made my nails stronger than ever before. They are long and strong and very healthy. I cant wait to get my second gel manicure. My poor husband thought he was marrying a low-maintenance girl…and now Im hooked on gel manicures :)I encourage everyone I know to check out a gel mani at Blake Rose Salon.

I called for an appt and was told wide open I could pick between 2 hour window. I said would be there in 30 minutes. I arrived early and was seated at a communal table. After sitting there for 20 minutes with people walking by and people working there reading magazines I inquire about my appointment. They said someone would be with me shortly. I could see people reading and talking. 30 minutes after my appointment and no one had even apologize for my wait or even offers water - I left!! There were no apologies for my wait. There was no follow up. They were not even busy.

Bryan and his new salon are awesome! The new salon has a very chic and fun vibe! Bryan does an amazing job everytime and I look forward to my salon appointments!

I used to come to this salon- I have seen different stylists over time. 2 of the stylists are no longer working at this salon. One time, when neither of the 2 stylists were available, I saw Bryan because of his high reviews. I know this salon (especially Bryan) gets rave reviews, but my experience with Bryan was beyond uncomfortable and unpleasant. He seemed like he was in a bad mood the entire time. He was not personable at all. He acted as though I were an inconvenience, and I was bothering him. In fact, through half the visit that day, he thought I was someone else! Ever since that experience, I have not been back. Not sure how he gets such high reviews. maybe you have to be a regular of his in order to be treated respectfully? (still doesnt make it ok).
