I will be a very loyal customer. Just made an appointment for the second time to check an engine light and do do a thorough inspection. I not only got great exception service, but Jeremy went above and beyond to help explain services etc. needed for my daughters car. This is everything to me I can trust and depend on a dealership. As a single mom of 3 teenagers who knows absolutely NOTHING about cars…(yet I own 3) you can bet I’ll be back and recommend to others. Thanks again!!!

The service department is pretty awesome. They are very professional and personable. It’s a 40min drive and there are other dealerships but when you know that they will do the job right and can trust them, you don’t go somewhere else! This type of service is hard to find anymore.

Everyone was courteous and quick, but at the end of the day nothing was fixed and it didn’t appear as if anything was really done to attempt to fix my vehicle with less then 1500 miles on it. Now I am at the mercy of VW corporate for an answer of what to do. Seems reasonable, but also seems unreasonable to deal with no infotainment system- no radio or other sound, no navigation, no rear view camera - on a brand new $50K vehicle. Not really Byers’ fault, but the fix is not happening fast enough.

I have been dreading getting a new car, but Paul at Byers made it painless. Paul was the only sales person from 8 dealerships that I emailed that responded promptly, professionally, and didn’t make me feel like I was getting an auto response or being pressured to come to the dealership in order to hear my options. I could not believe how timely Paul’s responses were all week and I felt that every time we went back and forth on models and prices he was being very honest and treating me fairly. When we finally did make it into the dealership, Paul was so pleasant and kept everything efficient for us— no feeling that that we were being hustled. He took the necessary time to explain things— he was patient and friendly and really made me feel confident that doing business with Byers was the way to go!

I am looking for another VW dealership to care for me and my vehicle.While my car sat at dealership, I took my second vehicle to AAA for same problem and it was repaired the same day. That problem by the way, was initially water pump which is part of VW extended Warrenty. Then, it is not water pump, but the thermostat housing, changed water pump but not water pump, water pump is not, your private warrent wanted us to replace water pump, but not water pump, it is thermostat housing kit… Bottom line, water pump and therm housing were replaced, but I did not receive VW extend Warrenty coverage. The guy on the phone did, however.Price with my private Warrenty was higher than cost of vehicle without insurance.Service guy says the most offensive things… maybe battery died and won’t charge because it sat two weeks ( on another dealers lot). Service guy alleged that a completed inspection was performed,, but did not top off windshield fluid or inspect oil change. After allegation, I requested feedback on coolant system. I paid for pressure test for coolant system and diagnostic for engine and found the speed sensor needed work…. .I asked about wait time and he began blaming, then I told him I had another vehicle service and he said they have more mechanics. Interesting that he NEVER mention the fact that he guessed my mileage, as opposed to going out to read it. As a result, there was a longer delay due to the appearance of odometer tampering. This was resolve when Warrenty office requested a photo of odometer reading.After a month, I picked up car and light “service now” came on. Service guy asked when was last time car was serviced. Second guy asked, “ when was last oil change?” My car sat on your lot neglected and ignored,. If during your thorough inspection, you did not know my car needed an oil change, problem with antifreeze, and low windshield fluid, then shame on you.I can not return there and pay for what felt like sexist behavior, being pacified and insulted and piece repairing my vehicle.That is only part of my pain.Looking for another VW dealership!

I dropped my car off on a Tuesday, car was to be serviced on Wednesday. I never got a call, I had to call on Thursday to see what the issue was. I got my car back on Friday. I cant say my service was bad, as they fixed my issue. I was disappointed of those communication with me.

Excellent customer service. No one rushed to me when I got there, they let me take my time. When I told them what I wanted they took the time to show me all the features, followed up on everything even after I left, and they tried their best to make the whole purchasing experience go quickly (I hate sitting for hours). Everyone was very professional and I have no major complaints that would prevent me from returning. I only have two points to which would enhance your service. The car appeared to have been driven through dirt/rocks and the tires were dirty when returned. Second, the service reminders were not reset. I was able to figure out the sequence and reset them myself.

I was quite surprised that they provided transportation after I dropped my car off because it was going to take to long to wait for back to my home and then transportation was provided to pick me up and take me back to the dealer. AWESOME!!!. My car was washed when I picked it up. I love the print out of what was done because it also advised you if other things should be taken care of. Im truly impressed with Byers and would surely recommend them to any. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Had our 2016 Passat in for its annual oil and filter change. As always they took very good care of our car, including airing the tires up to proper inflation, topping off all fluids, and then washing the car afterwards! We have had all of our service completed at Byers Volkswagen since first buying the car in 2016. They have never failed to treat us with the utmost respect, and honor all discounts advertised on their website, etc.The service department, as well as the sales staff at this dealership are truly second to none!

While every one has been friendly to me the over all experience has been a nightmare. First it took four different visits to find what is hopefully the root of the problem. Visit one $1200+ to replace a valve, visit two $1400+ to replace same valve and canister, visit three $0 to clean wires, visit four $500+ to replace a modulate that caused the aforementioned canister and valve to “go bad”. On the four visit the claimed the had only drive the car 3 miles but it was actually 300 according to odometer and cameras. The care was returned to me on e with no gas, and the inboxes showed car wash. The car is covered in dead bugs, dirt, and cup rings from someone using the roof as a coffee table. To boot it all my phone connection cable is was not in the car when I drove off.I ha e asked for the dealer managers email twice and been told they can not give it out and dropped into a voicemail of a random phone number. This is why people don’t trust mechanics and especially dealership mechanics.

Brought my 2020 Tiguan in for its 10,000 mile oil change and the team went above and beyond - they filled my washer fluid, rotated my tires, checked all features were working properly and even gave it a quick wash! The best part is that the oil change was free - all and all I only paid $26 for the tire rotation. I was able to work in the lounge while I waited for my service, which was quick and efficient. Be cautious when buying from Byers the customer service isn’t what it use to be years ago, the reliability of the Volkswagen Atlas is terrible I have 2 babies and have been on the side of the road twice in less than a year because of engine manifold issues, oil leaks and Coolant/Antifreeze leaks. Shop at your own risk!

I have an ok experience when I visit Byers service department. The pros: they are always courteous and timely with the work. They also provide a Lyft if the service is going to take a long time so I dont have to wait at the dealership. This last time, I needed the ignition button replaced on my 2017 used car. It is a Certified Pre Owned vehicle that I purchased at Byers 2 years ago. Ive only put 5,000 miles on the car since purchase. They informed me that my CPO warranty expired 2 days prior to service and the best they could do for me was to take 10% off the total bill. I know the service department does not make the rules, but I feel that this kind of problem with my car was obviously not caused by excessive use or any action I was taking, so I think they should have honored the warranty. Also, can someone please fix their car wash/ pressure washer? Every time I go for service they tell me their car was is broken. Next time I need service, I will shop around for cheaper maintenance or try Germain or MAG VW.

Had my Tiguan recently serviced for the 10k checkup. Not only was I surprised that Byers offered this free service but more that they did not treat it as a routine/mill of the run/unwanted obligation. It really felt as if I was paying a premium for a service that can be found in high end luxury models. Everyone from my initial dealer - Shawn to the Service team member - Cameron were so helpful and friendly that I would fully commit to Byers on Hamilton for any future vehicles I may buy or lease within makers they offer. There is an awesome and professional group of people in the Byers VW Parts Department. We encountered an installation difficulty with a re-designed OEM VW part which our shop purchased from Byers VW. We were able to reach out to the Byers VW parts department, explain the situation to them and in no time they provided us with the modified engineering installation and routing instructions for the re-designed part. This saved hours of research and prevented the technician having to take a trial and error approach to getting the modified part installed. My experience at Byer’s VW was excellent. I was traveling to Texas from Ohio and was in need of a wiring connector for my hitch. Not only did they have one I was able to get it installed the same day in approximately 40 mins. Life saver… I don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for the men at the service department. SERVICE!!!!! This is the place VW themselves would take their cars to be serviced. Tim and Jake are on the best at what they do. If you need your VW serviced in Central Ohio this is the only place to take it. Fair, honest and best of all they will not keep you in the dark and may just go to bat for you!! Dont ever take your vw somewhere else as we who drive VW expect the best in our experiences and these guys will not let you down!!Sales, all I can say is wow this has to be the best bunch of people to work with in the state and possibly VW as a whole. I have been Herr over an hour and a half. I was told it would take 40 minutes. This is just for a tire. I had a flat and when I called the voice mail stated they were busy I was on the phone as I pulled up and all 3 of them were just sitting there. Now after almost 2 hours Im told they are still working on it. Its a tire. Just put a new tire on. For $326.00 for one tire it should not take this long. Communication back and forth was great, time from drop off to pick was great as well. They took care of my open recall too. Only issue is they claimed my backup camera was aftermarket which is not at all and didn’t diagnose the issue of why it wasn’t working, and still doesn’t work. Sadly I will have to take my car to a different dealership and hope they will fix the problem.

Greg Higgins is a 10-star sales agent. I walked into the Subaru side of the dealerships at the Airport location out of confusion. I was looking for a VW vehicle from an online search. Instead of directing me another person, he was patient, went out of his way to get the vehicle from the other dealership and test driving within moments. I didnt realize the dealership closed at 6p, he sent a very nice, laid back text asking for my ETA. Upon arrival back to the dealership, well after closing, he walked our family through the purchase, scheduled the car for a few more services to ensure everything was perfect before we purchased and personally escorted us to the final signing office in an adjacent building. We enjoyed our time talking to him on a personal level and connecting on common passions in life. It didnt feel like we were buying a car from a stranger but rather a good friend that cared about our time and us a people. Best car buying experience to date. Thanks, Greg.

Starting from the first day, the steering wheel Shaking when braking at high speed. The test results showed that the brake disc was defective, and there was still a slight jitter after replacing the brake disc. Asking to check the four-wheel alignment or balance, service tell that you need to pay extra. I can’t believe that there are problems with the new car, and the dealership is not responsible. I can only say goodbye to VW until the contract expires and no longer recommend my friend VW.

Where to start with Byers? Two months ago we went in to buy a new VW Atlas. Spoke with a salesman, told him we were ready to buy. They only had a couple in stock so he was going to look around and let us know. He texted us back a couple times, but then stopped responding. The next weekend we found an amazing 2021 VW Atlas at the VW dealer in Cincinnati.Then there’s the service I received on my VW Passat this last time. They had my car for a month to fix a cam shaft. Took two weeks to diagnose the problem. At one point, the tech told me I should replace the PVC Valve even though it was testing fine. Parts came in Tuesday of week 3 for the cam shaft. When I asked about completion time I was told “It will be next week sometime, my tech is off Wednesday and Thursday this week. At the end of week 4, my car was finally done and cost $250 more than they quoted me.There was also a time in April of 2020 when I paid $4k to replace my timing chain and they charged me for all kinds of extras including an oil change even though I got one the week prior and was never asked if I wanted this done.There was also yesterday when one of their reps called to do a survey on my recent experience and hung up on me while I was expressing how frustrating the entire 4 week repair process was. Thanks to Byers being the only VW dealer in Columbus I certainly won’t buy a VW again. As for our Atlas my girlfriend just bought, she’s already said she will take it back to the Cincy dealer for any repairs or service. The one thing Byers has going for them is their shop and sales team somehow manage to provide the same, terrible level of customer service.

Sales team really is a full blown shady used car salesman team regardless of the brand (this is saying nothing to the quality of the automobiles rather the sales tactics). These guys are life savers. They had to repair a severe misalignment from another shop that shredded a brand new set of tires (ugh). It took them 3 alignment rounds to fix the issue, but they made sure it was perfect. Guys behind the desk and the techs are so friendly, polite, and professional. Won’t take my car anywhere else for service from here on out. Highly recommend!

We walked in about 30 minutes before closing in a Saturday afternoon. David approached us calmly and offered to assist. I showed him the picture of the car I was looking for and after asking a few questions he brought the car out. He explained the specs about the car and I know it was not the one for me. I the. Showed him a second car and he did not hesitate to bring it forth. He was calm as he explained the features. As I was checking out the ins and outs of the car, he and my husband continued to talk. I then approached them and said” yep, this is the one I want”. Byers VW service dept. provides incredible customer service. They accommodate if you don’t have a ride after dropping your vehicle off, then provide one once your vehicle is ready. They explain what you need and keep you updated throughout the whole process. Jeremy was very helpful and helped guide me with the issues my car had. I worked with Paul to buy a 2021 Tiguan from Byers VW and I have to say it was one of the better experiences I have had buying a car. Paul was super professional but also friendly and welcoming. He didnt pressure me and really made me feel like I was in control of the situation, at no point did I feel as if I was obligated to buy a car from him that day. He walked me through the features of the car and followed up via text the following week to see how everything was going.I would recommend using their online approval tool, it made the buying process efficient and stress free. I was able to get there and test drive the model I wanted and sign all my paperwork in about 2 hours. They gave me a fair deal on my trade in and got the price of the car I purchased to a number I was comfortable with. Very happy overall with my experience at Byers VW.

The service was one that should be relatively routine. They took a while. I dropped my car off around 7am for my appointment, and my car was not ready until close to 4:30pm. They did knock a few dollars off because of the wait but not anything super substantial.All in all, it was an average job. Not great, but not terrible either.

You don’t have to have an appointment for oil changes, which is convenient! (You just have to wait around an hour since it isn’t an appointment. Fine with me, I caught up on a podcast and emails!)They also took care of my battery in my key since I was there already. The waiting room was clean and spaced nicely so you aren’t right next to someone during COVID-19. Staff was friendly and explained all of the areas they checked on the car to make sure everything was up to date. 10/10 for me!

I recently took my car into Byers for an oil change, tire rotation and recall service . They were very nice.I was happy with the service they provided other than the fact that my “low pressure in left back tire” came on After leaving which had never happened. I don’t have time to continually take my car back to be serviced after I leave. I am a little sensitive on this subject as it has happened multiple times to me at other companies.

After dealing with another Volkswagen dealership for a few weeks and never feeling truly confident, I was luckily able to reach out to David who sold me my last Volkswagen and learned he was at Byers. I decided to visit him and after only a few hours, I left with exactly what I wanted. Both David and Byers were direct and to the point and made me feel like they were working to get me a great deal and find me what I was looking for. I will definitely be going back for future car purchases!

The experience I had at Byers was unanticipated and reassuring. Past encounters with dealerships had me nervous about having to take my Volkswagen in for unexpected services. I am pleased to report that from start to finish I was taken care of. I downloaded uber upon entering in anticipation of finding a ride home but the gentleman at the desk asked if I had a ride and got me scheduled at no additional cost. Jim called me with a diagnosis and was straightforward from the get go. He didn’t pressure me to make any decisions and provided me with peace of mind regarding what needed to get done when. They provided me with another ride back to the dealership to pick up my car and when they drove her up she had a fresh wash! As a new resident of Columbus I was upset with having to establish myself with a VW servicer so soon after having moved but am happy to report that I found the right place to do the job.

Collin Woodford and William Murray at Byers Volkswagon were very helpful as I tried to decide which vehicle to buy! I appreciated Collins patience and knowledge about the cars.
