Unfortunately my barber had to cancel last minute due to an emergency and I needed to just get my son an edge up. I went to this location once before so I figured I would give it a try since they are open late. I went in and no one was waiting but they all had someone in their chair. When I asked how long the wait would be, I was told by the lady cutting up front she’s not taking anyone else, one barber said he had an appointment coming (understandable) and everyone else just looked and said nothing. Even if everyone was booked for the night I wasn’t even offered a time to return the next day. Everyone knows it’s back to school tomorrow, I’m bringing business and always tip very well. The customer service and professionalism in this establishment was definitely disappointing. Normally I would just wait for my barber but being that it’s back to school tomorrow, I figured I would see if I could explore another option and I couldn’t. Luckily my barber was able to make it happen!

I was in town visiting and was in need of a cut. I came across Kut City on google and decided to check it out with my fellow teammates because of good reviews. We decided wrong, when pulling into the parking lot, We heard some light skinned guy straight trippin unprofessional screaming at whoever he was on the phone with outside with a Kut City shirt on in front of the barber shop. We were deterred from coming inside assuming he was a barber from Kut City, with him wearing the uniform and we did not like that type of energy. That first impression to professional ball players was an everlasting one. I suggest to whomever owns this barbershop to choose barbers to represent your shop better especially when the uniform is on. Best of Luck ~#four0

Tammy is a professional that does quality work. She focuses on the details, does not rush to make sure you’re satisfied in the end leaving her chair with exactly what you wanted. Every time I walked out of the shop I’m satisfied. I’ve not had an experience where I wasn’t. I can truly say that out of all the Barbers that have cut my hair Tammy is the BEST at what she does. I had a very unpleasant experince there with a guy called New York He did the haircut for one of my sons, but was so rude and unprofessional. While the other guy named Dia who attended to my other son was very supportive and helpful.However, i will never return there for a haircut given the unpleasant experince with that guy so called - New YorkRespect and professionalism is very essential.

Next day receive this text: “Hello you have a hair cut appointment with [insert barber name] I just getting out the hospital i will not be-able to do your appointment please cancel it out thank you.” Tried booking with another barber there. Appointment confirmed. Within minutes received text: “Your [second] appointment at KUT CITY on [insert date/time] was cancelled.” Went back onto website. Both barbers still show available (including first “just getting out the hospital” - who I hope, if the message was legit, is ok and gets well soon). Just sayin, the online booking and customer communications experience - not a good look. Peace.

Excellent environment, there are TVs with solid cable channels which are great for passing the waiting time. I’ve been going here for the last two years or so and their barbers give consistently good cuts at reasonable prices. Xavier especially did a great job the last time I was there. A small issue I’ve notice although is theirs slight confusion on the waiting line for customers, I’d recommend beginning to use something like a ‘ticket’ with numbers on it to signal the next person getting a cut. All around Kut city is a solid barber shop and I readily recommend it whenever my friends are looking for a cut.

I was very disappointed! I booked a reservation online however, the Barber didn’t show up. About 15 minutes in I asked if she would be in, they reached out to her however, she indicated she thought it was for noon. I don’t see the purpose of booking online if they won’t be on time. My goal was to get a hair cut and support black owned business, but that was a fail. Very disappointed and not a good Customer experience. It’s hard to trust a business when the staff seems to be unreliable.

My barber / brother-in-law (Jamil Joaquin) did an excellent job as always. In addition to cutting my hair, he did a beard alignment and a straight razor shave on my neck. I love the toolbox workstations and the nonchalant atmosphere of this place as well. Overall an excellent experience!

Took my son here to get a cut before school starts back after winter break. We had a wait, it’s New Year’s Day so I’d expected one. Once my son was in the chair the haircut was fast and very neat. My son loves his hair! He’d felt anxious since he hadn’t had it cut in a while but there were no issues and he looks so handsome:) only regret is I didn’t get the barbers name.

Horrible experience to be a first time client. The shop barely had any clientele in there which meant to me this should be quick NOPE! I waited for close to an hour while all the barbers look at you like your retarded waiting for a haircut instead of asking who you are here to see or at least acknowledge your presence. Will never be back to that dump.

The shop was fully staffed with friendly barbers. Omar did an excellent job on my sons lining, which is usually hard to accomplish. The wait was not long, and they even had complimentary donuts. The location is very convenient as well. I highly recommend this shop.

I am pissed. I wish I knew how to post a picture of what my edge up looks like. I went in two days ago and the 3rd barber down on the right hand side edged me up. I went in for a simple edge up. I went home took a shower and my forehead started burning... 2 days later I have burning scabs all across my forehead. I leave for vacation in 2 days and this is what I’m leaving with. I was already irritated and annoyed and ready to go by time he got done that’s why I didn’t really check myself before I left. My edge up isn’t even straight. I usually go and Tank cutts my hair but he was to busy for me that day. I will never be coming back to this place ever again!

Takes a long time to get my hair cut. Ill go in, speak and be waiting for about an hour or so before I am called to anyones chair. Great cuts but please get to everyone you see in the shop. Im still waiting as I type this and I arrived at 11:04...its now 12:18.

I watched a barber 3 weeks ago pushed a client against the wall, because the client told the barber he didnt give him the hair cut he requested. Very brutal, I thought customers are always first. NO RESPECT FOR CUTOMERS. The client peacefully walked out, and no one apologized to the client.

Have been in quite a few barbershops, Kut City by far is very professional and all about the business. The shop was clean and inviting. Gene Fields is the barber that cut my grandsons hair with complete satisfaction on all levels, ie, time to cut was appropriate, no interruptions and price is more than affordable. Kudos to ALL the barbers for thinking of their clients and not bs around with unnecessary chatter and interruptions! I rate this team a 10.Marlon, I was just reading the reviews and noticed a very bizarre complaint from a customer! DONT BELIEVE HIM! This guy frequents ALL THE SHOPS to try and get FREE SERVICES! He is a master at this! Trust me I have nothing to gain from this from anyone and if you notice in my original review, I said I frequent alot of shops due to the fact of where my grandson and I are at the time, so Ive witnessed it. He cant tell the barber exactly what he wants, he becomes angry and defensive and refuses to pay and leaves!

I was charged 20$ for a cut by Weldon E Fields Jr aka TC Fly. According to Kut Citys sign 20$ is supposed to get you a wash, warm shave and razor. I assure you I received NONE of that. I wish I could upload a picture so you could see what this dude did to me. I told him I did not like the cut (obviously) and TC Fly said he didnt care if I didnt like, refused a refund and then cursed me out, threatend to attack me and when I tried to leave the shop, he actually followed me out to the parking lot trying to FIST FIGHT me! Carry a weapon if you want to get your hair cut here. Also every barber in the shop saw the cut and okd it! Kut City will cut your hair like this and expect a tip for it. Go here at your own risk. Im currently bald now btw had to have all my hair cut off. 4 months of growth gone. Id rather stick my head in a blender then let TC touch me with a pair of clippers again. When I walked in TC had no customers lol I had to lose ALL MY HAIR to figure out why. Hands down the worst cut of my life. Worst customer service of my life. TC cut hair in prison and decided to try it on the outside. Literally. I asked for a tapered line and TC decided that meant I wanted him to shave an entire inch of my hairline off. Without even asking before he did it smh. The other barbers there can probably cut hair but the fact they let someone like TC FLY work in their shop makes me question them too. I left looking as if I got a line up with a chainsaw.
